I order my groceries on the Walmart App and pick them up curbside every two weeks from this location. I used to go to South Gate but Pico is superior in comparison. They always have what I'm looking for and if they don't they have an abundance of similar items so I can substitute. The pick up process is always a breeze. The team members working are quick and observant. If for whatever reason they see you haven't been helped and you've been there for a bit they come up to you and ask you if you've been helped or need help checking in. read more

I was at this location trying to pay for 100 dollars worth of groceries and personal care. I also had with me two coupons for disposable razors and two coupons for reusable razors. The cashier (curly orange hair) scanned all my items and then when I handed her my coupons she said I'm sorry but I'll have to ask my supervisor. She then proceeded up ask a short man with a beard a question and he said I'm sorry but you can only use one of each coupon for today (coupon stated limit two identical coupons per transaction) his interpretation being that the coupons for reusable and disposable razors were identical. To me that's like saying a blue shirt and a red shirt are identical. I then asked to speak with someone else (he pointed to a large bulky woman who was standing in a huddle). This large lady proceeded to say that I could use the coupons but had to split my transaction into two. I asked where the coupon stated that the transaction needed to be split and she answered that was her interpretation of the statement: limit one coupon per purchase of product indicated. I explained that meant that I couldn't use two coupons on a single item and she proceeded to ask another lady (a short woman with orange hair in a bun) This lady said she didn't know and wanted to speak to the other two colleges alone. I walked off and then the short lady came back saying the same thing as the others. This experience is just to say that if you want to be treated like dirt for using 4 coupons on a 100 purchase by three people who don't know how a proper sentence is structured or what identical means, then by all means please shop here. I don't know why such a large multi billion dollar company hates coupons so much. It makes me sad that they don't educate their employees on proper customer service or their own coupon policy. After pushing three times I asked an employee for assistance and she rudely responded by telling me to keep pushing the button and wait. The bargain shopping here is not worth it. Last week I bought snow tire chain from Walmart Azusa while I'm heading to big bear just for extra precaution, fortunately I don't have to use so when I'm back tried to return to Walmart at 8500 Washington blvd and met supervisor Andy . He said we don't accept tire chain for returns, requested him as one time exception or give me store credit because no body informed me this item is not returnable , then he answered you can go to Walmart website to see this item not returnable so we don't have to tells you when you are purchasing or you can try to go to Azusa Walmart they might accept this return, I was so surprised how come Walmart policy will be different each store , so I asked him can you call Azusa Walmart for me ? He said we as a store doesn't call each other because usually no body will answer the phone ! In addition, the WalMart employe "overlooking" the self checkout saw that a customer was having trouble with mobile pay for about 30 seconds, only to tell him that WalMart doesn't accept mobile pay, The fact that she stood by and watched him struggling, without checking on him or asking if he needed assistance, was not ok. read more

Just a heads up they closed all their self check out. They only have 5 checkers on each side. Only 3 are open at a time. The line wrapped around on both sides. I was in line for 40 min. Also they make you bag your own stuff even at the lane where they scan your items. It was already so bad with their receipt system (had a person grab my phone to look at the receipt and start scrolling to find the 5.00 Pepsi out of my 450.00 cart of items) Their prices aren't that much cheaper than Food4Less down the street(even higher in the meat department) to make waiting 45 min in line worth it. And the perk of using the Walmart+ lanes is gone. So there is really no point in having it unless you have your stuff delivered often. Employees are also so rude and lazy. This store doesn't teach customer service at all. I believe everyone should have to work retail and food service at one point in their life to not only know how to treat workers with respect because they know how hard it is and how awful people can be but to learn customer service. How to be kind and helpful even in frustrating situations. To actually help people solve their problems. But this store teaches the opposite. Since the pandemic all customer service has gone down hill. But this store is awful. They are literally on their phones while sticking shelves. It's bad enough when it's a third party vendor who is speaking loudly and taking up all the space. But when it's an employee it's even worse. And so many do it. They are on their AirPods talking. I get the CEO wants to cut back in theft (even though Walmart is the one who lead the mainly self checkout craze ) but they need to remodel AGAIN to add more lanes. And I hope they fired whoever decided to add all the self check out thinking they would save money on cashiers. Now it's the consumer who has to deal with the consequences. The money Walmart loses from theft at the register isn't even a tiny dent compared to what they make. It's about time another retail company comes along to compete with Walmart and Target. The front end manager( Griselda ) was so rude when it came to honoring the price of an item even tho that was the price on the shelf when asked to talk to someone higher than her she became very aggressive and her tone was terrible . The second manager we talked to Crystal wouldn't honor the price for the item either when talking to my mother in law but when my husband asked her if he can asked her a question she ignored him and my mother in law said he's asking you something and she goes I'm talking to you not him and then she asked who the item was for and it was for all of us she turned to my boyfriend and said I'm not talking to you and said that he was being rude even thought he had only said can I ask you and question. Wow...... First timer here been looking for different walmart to go to to oppose of my local one available. This Walmart shines, all the employees are doing something , polite, I believe I will be coming here more often. One thing I looked in the ladies department my reason for coming here. Every walmart seems to be picked over and honoring for Valentine's Day clothing pajamas , let alone any plus size but I found plenty here. Also found this interesting blouse that has a mask to go alone with your outfit. They seemed to have more self checkouts than cashiers , the lines were flowing , customer service lines were low to my amazement! , there's a nail place inside Walmart as well as a Mc Donald's. Plenty parking , shopping carts are wiped down before passed to you and also asked to leave carts in a certain area to be wiped down once again. read more

WOW!!! Oh my, what a find. I failed to stock up on a few necessities before my surgery. Being unable to drive for a week, I needed to do something quickly. Regular grocery sites were too difficult to navigate. The Walmart website was amazingly intuitive. I placed my order without difficulty. I received a promised delivery time that was met within TWO MINUTES. I was even able to watch the approaching driver on my computer. It was an AMAZING first-time experience. This walmart has been forever business during covid . They really only had lines during the holidays and when the governor would re-close certain businesses because of the surge. It's has been awhile since I came here . Today I ran in just to get a jacket to wear for work. From what I could see the store appears to be very clean . DONT USE THEIR PICK-UP service. I placed an order on line for pick-up and I got the alert that my order was ready. I drove out there on a Monday at 7p. I parked in a numbered stall and checked in. There were about 5 other cars there waiting and 3 employees bringing the orders out. I waited over 30 min to get my stuff. I saw new cars arrive and get their things and leave many times. At about 20 min I got out of my car to go ask about my stuff. I had to ask 3 times. All they said was that it would come.iut soon. Was there over 30 min by the time they brought out my order. A supremely terrible Wal-Mart that is light years ahead of their other stores in the race to the bottom. It always feels like a small tornado just struck the aisles... and you just missed it. Row upon row upon row of checkout stations with only an occasional person actually checking people out (exception: the checkout corral where they goad, entice, and hoop and hollar at customers into getting roped, bagged, and tagged, like holsteins!) The garden center **looks nice** through the jail like portcullis they drop at 7pm... barring entry into it. I firmly maintain that the vast grass lawn that once stood here, way back when the property was Northrup Grumman and even the Ford plant before that, provided a far more pleasant, enjoyable, life affirming experience... Just by being a lawn. I suppose this vegetative state of bliss remains prevalent on this property.... Just not exactly in the way you'd expect. 2/5 stars read more

Had a very scary experience on Saturday December 2, 2023 at around 5pm Went shopping with my elderly mother who has beginnings of dementia. I stepped away to use the restroom and left her in produce shopping. She disappeared for over an hour. Mind you I realize it was my fault to leave her. But asking the employees for help added to the already scary and frustrating experience. No one would help. I asked a "lead" to page and please ask other employees if the have seen her. He was caught up on a phone call. Apparently according to the teenager sitting around in customer service they only have 1 paging system and could not use it because the "lead" was on the phone. Walmart, as big as you are you only have 1 paging system?? Come on! Your store should DO BETTER! It was a missing elderly person but it could have been a missing child! No one seemed to care or be willing to help despite my obviously frantic request. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in your lack of service. Maybe consider hiring adults and not children who have zero compassion and interest in anyone but themselves. I truly did not expect such a lack of compassion. At the customer service section in the front there is a TV that has the taken policy.What they don't tell you is that in small print each store manager can change that policy. This review isn't focused on the store but more on the "Team Lead " Jarrod . The store Is awesome,  I've shopped here since 2009 . That being said , the reason for this negative review is due to the unprofessionalism and how very condescending Jarrod the team lead is . I previously purchased a stereo for my wife's car on December 19, 2021 that was on sale for 209.99 on the Walmart App . The item was being sold from WALMART, NOT from a 3rd Party. The Cashier then called his Manager and authorized the sale price at 209.99 and not 347.00( which was the original price). fast forward to 12/28/21 I went back to purchase the same stereo for my car . Checked on the Walmart app and it was still on sale . Cashier tells me they need to get the "manager" for it to b approved.  The other sale associate said her "Manager" said no because " its part of the affirm monthly payment " but yet on the app it doesn't say you must pay with the affirm option . She asked if I wanted to speak to manager and I said yes . Jarrod walks up to me and a person can tell that he wasn't in a good mood or didn't want to speak regarding this concern . He tells me the same thing the young lady told me . I informed him I already have purchased this stereo for my wife's car and the gentleman who helped me on 12/19/2021 called his Manager in order to authorize the price match on the Walmart app sold by Walmart.  He says " well he did it wrong, he wasn't suppose to do that.  I said I can bring my receipt tomorrow morning so u guys can see it was sold to me at 209.99. He then answered rudely " that wouldn't make a difference." I asked who his Manager was , he said Coach Franke and said that he wasn't there at the moment . I asked for his name and he said  very condescending" its what the badge says " ..I then told him not to be rude, I have worked retail for 10 years and you don't speak to customers like that. I said he is equal to any other team lead , and what makes your "decision" higher than any other team lead or manager or coach ? If the other coach price matched the Walmart app price then it should be authorized since it was previously authorized at this very same Walmart days ago ( reminder my app still had the sale price listed which I showed him) . I had also told him that Walmart in downey had priced matched as well for some airpods because it was being sold by WALMART. he then said rudely again we aren't going to be price matching for you all the time . Jarrod your a team lead not the owner of walmart ( you are not Sam Walton or his Heirs who own 50% of Walmart) your not even a coach . I don't know why you are even a team lead with an attitude like that . He said I was mad because I wasn't going to get a price match and I said your mad because u know I'm right and your suppose to price Match because it's sold by Walmart . Nowhere on the listing of the stereo on the  Walmart app does it SAY" IN ORDER TO GET THIS STEREO AT THIS PRICE, YOU MUST PURCHASE THIS STEREO BY GETTING IT WITH AFFIRM AND PAYING $20 MONTHLY FOR X AMOUNT OF MONTHS". Why because AFFIRM IS AN OPTION JARROD . I left, but before leaving I asked another worker who the manager was , she said Coach Maria and if I wanted to speak to her.  Hmm I wonder why Jarrod didn't tell me that Coach Maria was present during this whole time. Why was Jarrod acting like the  manager of the whole store and why did he say that Coach Frank had left for the day and that he wouldn't be back until tomorrow morning? I believe Jarrod is abusing his "Team lead" power, condensing and rude . I then proceeded to call corporate @ 1800 925 6278 and informed the young lady at customer care about Jarrod, his rude "service" and what had happened. She informed that Jarrod was suppose to honor the price match because it was being sold by Walmart.  She gave me my reference number and will b calling me back today with an update . Also, I went back  today (next morning )12/29/21 and guess what Jarrod? THEY PRICE MATCHED the car stereo at 209.99. The employees who helped this morning were kind and understanding. August 10th she hit a wet soapy spot on the floor upon entering Wal-Mart heading to the deli and slammed her knee/leg on the floor.....she's in a boat load of pain.....I'm praying nothing is broken......
