This is the best Walmart store I've ever entered. I came in on a Wednesday evening around 7pm on the 20th of the month. I've had a difficult day and my nervous system was dysregulated. Made it worse Orangevale Walmart didn't have the 2-4 quantity of a particular item I needed. A Rocklin employee who answered the phone (wow) let me know the inventory takes 48 hours to update (geez). The parking lot wasn't busy and it was rather clean. The bathroom felt like it was straight out of a public restroom in Atherton, CA, and it was at the front of the store. The store was not crowded. Shelves were stocked and the store was in excellent condition. Never in 100 years would I think that a walk through Walmart would calm my nervous system. If I had the time, I would have stopped by Mindscape for a craft beer. They're great, too. read more

3/6/2026: I purchased more quirky products I couldn't find at Roseville's Galleria Mall which are eight planters' saucers, bulk laundry products, two LODGE Cast Iron 16-Inches in diameter pans, Barbecue Scrubber, a mondo-size Bleach Spray Bottle, #2016 Lithium batteries, Cowboy Lump Wood Charcoal, an USB/Electric Rechargeable, barbecue fire lighter, bottle/glass scrubbing brush, etc. BTW & FYI: Visit Walmart Super Center's Camping Department for purchasing LODGE Cast Iron Pans, i.e., pans are affordably well-priced verses purchasing online or purchasing at a Shee-Shee-Foo-Foo Gourmet Kitchen Supply Store! BTW: This Walmart Super Center's prices are LESS THAN the Placerville , Rancho Cordova, and Sacramento locations. WHY? I dunno the reasons for the variable price differences . . . Re-design going from 20+ self checks to 8 is horrible. No item limit, just seniors scanning in their monthly groceries for 20 min while line is 10 plus people long. No additional cashiers added. Was okay for a Walmart before but you'd be better off going to Target on opposite side of freeway. read more

My family and I checked out this Walmart for the first time over the weekend while in the Rocklin area. We needed to pick up some groceries and I was itching to see what Halloween items they had in stock! They had a decent selection of Halloween items, but mostly cheap Fall items and kid costumes. The real jackpot were the Halloween slippers that I found - Stitch, Hello Kitty and even Pumpkin Spice Latte ones! We found some cool limited edition items like Wednesday cereals and Stranger Things cookies - we bought the cereal because my daughter is obsessed with the show. We also found some SpongeBob SquarePants Olipop drinks that we had to get. As most of their other locations, their meat section didn't look good so we opted out of buying it there, but they did have a pretty decent produce section. Overall, regardless of how you feel about Walmart and the people who shop there, the prices are cheaper and sometimes it's helpful when you're on a budget. read more

Well clearly I've been going to the wrong Walmart! We were in the area for brunch and decided to stop by for a few items. We struck gold! The women's clothing section was amazing! Lots of variety, styles, price points, I spent nearly two hours in between the rounders and the dressing room! DO NOT USE THE CURBSIDE PICKUP! I was told my order was ready at 5:30 and I got there at 5:45. An hour later I called and they had a different name written for my parking spot and there were still 7 people ahead of me. I ordered so that I could do a quick pickup, not wait over an hour for my $200 order. They said 6+ people called out, but they are a business and should be able to figure it out. This will be my last curbside pickup and I will not be recommending it. I asked about canceling and shopping inside, but they said it could take a day or more to get my money back from this order. Quality/Quantity - Good, probably one of Walmart's better locations (in CA). Easy in and out. Especially like the Uncle Shark Poke Bar, see pictures. Too bad we got here too early. Atmosphere - One of the nicer Walmarts. Actual Rocklin police were patrolling the parking lot, driving by me 3 times.. Do I look that bad...? One of the larger locations with all the departments. Clean, organized, andwell stocked. And only a few aisles locked up. Service - No security gates at the entrance, thank you. Almost all the Walmarts I go to are high security locations. Self-service registers on both sides of the store. Again, easy in and out. Price - N/A, but I usually NEVER check as Walmart is a low price leader. The makeup is locked up. I've worked around it so far, but yesterday I had to wait 15 min for an associate to open it. My choice wasnt there. I had to get some mascara, the associate was in a hurry to get to another unlocking at the power tools. He was impatient. I felt RUSHED! I bought a Physicians Formula mascara. Whose brilliant idea was it to go from 10 down to four self-checkout stations? It wouldn't be such a big deal if we had a snowball's chance in Hades of finding a human at a manned checkstand, but they are consistently devoid of employees, which is why we never purchase alcohol at Walmart. Along with that, don't even THINK about attempting to locate a human to help on aisles where merchandise is locked (of which there are A LOT). I rang the bell for help one day and stood there like an idiot waiting for someone to arrive and unlock the case. I finally gave up and went in search of someone a few aisles away, only to be told they couldn't help me, but they declined to mention who could. I gave up and went to Target, where I was able to grab what I needed. I absolutely know that no one at any Walmart will give a rodent's posterior about my own and many others concerns regarding this (many customers discussed the lack of planning on your part as we stood in a long line waiting for a self-checkout to become available). What are you thinking, Walmart? Bring back our self-checkouts or please have employees at manned checkstands. read more

DELIVERY PEOPLE ARE AWFUL, Slow, rude and not very smart. I hate to say this because I am no way against any race, religion, sex in anyway. However, it seems like 80% of your delivery people either don't understand English, can't follow instructions or refused to ask a manager when they cannot find something. Most delivery drivers are so incompetent, it blows my mind. It infuriates me that I have done express deliveries and paid an extra $10 and I don't think once they have been here on time. Right now, I am awaiting a delivery that is almost 2 hours late. His name is Mohammed if that means anything. I am furious because I did express since I have friends coming over and need things on that list. I even told him that and he is just taking his sweet old time. Standard big box super store with groceries. We generally visit Walmart whenever we need certain items but this time we got groceries for the week. They had everything we needed and the pricing didn't seem all that different. The store was clean and nothing out of the ordinary. Selection at this Walmart is terrible. Going to a neighborhood market is generally the preferred option so having gone to the super center with low selection of needs and prices on the high. Walmart on-line ordering with "From Store Delivery' is a JOKE!!! I will never order from Walmart again. For 10 years now, every time my items come from the store, the delivery is wrong/incomplete orders/delivery not on days that the e-mail specifies and they take pictures of 1 item delivered and state that they delivered them all- WHAT!!! When you place your order on-line with Walmart, it's not stated that the delivery is coming from the store until after you pay. WHAT A HEADACHE. I've had to call every time to straighten out their mess- talking to customer service reps in foreign countries, they state that they will contact the store and straighten it out- BUT THEY DON"T! Their Virtual Assistant on-line is a JOKE and you end up getting a call from a foreign country from a rep who means well, but doesn't get the problem fixed. I was trying to replace some Walmart batteries, quantity two for my 76 year-old father's truck. He bought them at a Walmart in Wichita Falls, Texas. He bought them for the three-year warranty. I drove over an hour to get to the Sierra College location because they have the batteries in stock. We were visiting on the West Coast. Even though the battery was the same name, the same cold cranking amps, and the same series of batteries they refused to swap them out because they didn't have the exact same SKU #. I spoke with two different representatives at the Sierra College store that said that there should be no reason they shouldn't swap them out. I was then told by another representative to call the Walmart 800 number and the Walmart 800 number guy was from India, which is annoying itself. I want to deal with an American company that has American representatives. The person in India couldn't help me either. Imagine that? So I called a young lady named Teresa in which of Falls, Texas, and she said yes, they should swap the batteries out without a problem. In fact, she explained to one of the representatives named Pedro how to do the exchange and he refused to even try to follow her direction even though I think she said she'd been with Walmart for like 18 years and he had only been there for two or three it seemed like just bad training and bad attitudes for this year college store. There should've been no problem with any of this as they were within the three-year warranty and the reason my elderly father bought batteries from Walmart is because they had a three year warranty and that sounded like a pretty good deal. After over two hours of heated conversation with at least four or five representatives at the Sierra College store I left unhappy and will never go into that store specifically and probably will not go into a Walmart ever again unless I have to. I did finally call back the young lady in Wichita Falls. She told me to go to the service center in Roseville. And within 30 minutes I left with two brand new batteries with check this out. They had different SKU numbers, but they were the same batteries from a different supplier. Be careful of the bait and switch on Walmart batteries they obviously do not want to stand behind them. Absolutely disgusting of Walmart, and my friends and family will hear this long winded message for as long as my voice carries a tune. God bless America. Let's keep jobs here. Worst customer service I have EVER experienced! I asked for help to give different people and they couldn't be bothered to help me.

I always like coming to this location very friendly staff with a wide selection of different items to choose from. They don't just sell food. They sell electronics and much more. This is one of my favorite Walmarts to go shopping at. I like the fact that their shelves are always well-stocked. The employees working will ask you if you need help finding anything and they will walk you over to the aisle not just point, they definitely go above and beyond in the store. I always end up finding more than I need which I'm sure happens to everybody. Lol. Walmart is a very nice place to shop. It's not just for people that want to pick up a few things it's for everybody and it's very affordable. If you're on a budget this is definitely a place you want to look at for groceries, baby clothes, electronics, and much more definitely one of my favorite places to shop. I highly recommend this establishment for anybody looking for a great deal. They definitely have that here. Great prices great service. What more could you ask for? Two reasons I go to this store.. It close and you can check out yourself without waiting 10 minutes in a line. Well now they are taking all of the self check out lines unless you have 15 items or less.. The excuse is because of the thefts.. Yes this is an excuse because if you had loss prevention to stop theft instead of watching thief's just walk out the doors the problems would be greatly reduced and we would all feel more safe shopping in their stores. This review is for the giant Walmart Supercenter right off 80 at Sierra College. We came in for the first time on the night before Thanksgiving! Yikes! Expecting a nightmare, but having a very pleasant experience. The shelves were full stocked with everything we needed and there were tons of employees busy restocking the popular items like bread and milk. The parking lot is huge and there are a ton of other stores nearby. Check out was easy. The garden center is enormous and the selection of Christmas items is the best we've seen this year. Okayyyy so I had ordered cupcakes for my daughters birthday. As I was walking up to the bakery the lady in the bakery SAW me walking up, ignored me went and did dishes. I stood there for nearly 10 minutes waiting. Nothing. So I went and got my other items I needed in the store. When I came back over, she's still not there. But this lady on the customer side said "ma'am do you have a question?" Super rude. I explained I was picking up my cupcakes. She was adamant there was no cupcakes (which I already paid for and got there on time to pick them up). She went and looked in the back, she was pissed. She found my cupcakes. I said thank you. And still she was being rude. The cupcakes were fine. But the customer service at Walmart in general is trash. But this Walmart... it takes the cake for the downright RUDEST workers ever. read more

I've shopped at Walmart all my life and this has been the second time at this specific location that I have been made to feel like I'm stealing. I was checking out and the system popped up an alert when I scanned a wallet I was going to buy, an employee came over and said "Excuse me ma'am were you trying to put this in your bag without scanning it? The system alerts when something has been placed in the bag and has not been scanned." I looked at him and said "No I scanned the wallet and put it in the bag and then this alert popped up." He cleared the system alert and I looked at the bottom and the wallet had clearly been scanned as the price and item were displayed on the screen. I was made to feel really uncomfortable in front of a bunch of people and it wasn't cool. I don't know if it's this specific location but I've decided to just rather spend my money at Target. read more

Went to shop at the Walmart supercenter center on Crossing Drive in Rocklin only to find that Walmart has started a policy of searching everyone's merchandise bag and receipt to ensure that they haven't stole something. This is a reprehensible policy that basically accuses all of their customers of being thieves. I've been told that the problem is routed in the self check process, which Walmart utilizes in order to save themselves money by not hiring additional cash register attendants. The problem is that allegedly not everyone scans and pays for everything. So instead of hiring additional employees to monitor this process more closely, Walmart has chosen just to insult all of its customers by insisting that their merchandise bag and receipt be searched. This practice is reprehensible and I will never shop there again. Further, I do not see any legal support for this practice. So for anyone who's reading this review I recommend simply just walking on through the line and tell the guy waiting to search your bags to forget it. read more
