If you ever have a need to wait in the 20 items or less line while only having 3 items in your basket and not move at all for 12 minutes, this is the place for you. The Scan & Go line was open but was not able to use it. It's the 20 item or less line, there should be sooooome form of movement within 12 minutes but there wasn't...zero movement. This location is a hot mess and management appears to be lost at the helm. I had two security employees glance at me waiting in customer service and said nothing, another employee told me after I asked it doesn't open until 7 and walked away and finally someone lost in the headlights when I told her it's ridiculous I needed to wait an hour to return something she cashed a supervisor. Once this return consumed 25 minutes I went to a case and pressed the call button, nobody came. I found an employee whose phone wouldn't open one lock but opened the one next to it. Because my arms are long I was able to reach the product. I then got another product and went to self checkout. At self checkout an employee watched me use a register and then told me it didn't work. This location needs an overall of training. The management here is the responsible party here. It's such a hot mess that it's entertaining. They are expanding soon and they are not ready. read more

I drove out of my way to go to this Walmart, specifically, and had a pretty bad experience. I was looking for some iFly compression storage cubes. I had purchased a set at the store by Ikea, and decided I needed one more set before moving on with my travels North. According to the website, this store had the item in stock. I looked for it on the shelf where it was supposed to be, but couldn't find any. Since the luggage is all locked up behind those sliding glass doors, I pushed the button for help, and waited for someone to come, but no one came. I really wanted these cubes. So, I went up to the customer service desk, and waited. When I got in line, there were four registers open. One finished helping her guest, and asked if she could go to lunch. The other three were all helping hard guests with hard returns. I waited for several minutes. Another register closed. A man cut in front of me to ask this woman for help, and when I tried to approach her, she turned her light off, and walked off with the man. She turned out to be the manager who was called to help me a good ten minutes later. Because, when my turn finally came, the associate said she would call someone over there, but she thought he was on lunch, so she didn't think he would come. I was like wtf, can I get a human being who can help me? How am I getting the run around in person? So she called the manager back, and she walked me to the aisle. She confirmed that the item should be there, but was not. She looked it up in her scanner. Her inventory said she had 3 on hand. That seemed like a lot to just accept as missing with no attempts to figure out where they went. She didn't even say she was going to adjust it out or anything. I asked her if she thought the 3 had been stolen, or what? She didn't seem to care at all. She just told me to order online. I told her I needed the item that day. I ended up driving out of my way back to the Walmart by Ikea to get their last one, which was luckily still there. read more

Well, if you've ever wanted a glimpse into what it's like to travel back in time, just swing by the Walmart on Antelope Rd. where the past meets the future--unfortunately, it's the bad past. In a bold move to "enhance the experience," they've replaced self-checkouts with cashiers, so now you get to enjoy the sweet, sweet nostalgia of waiting in the "20 items or less" line for 15 minutes like it's 1997 just to buy a couple of pints of ice cream. Oh but don't worry, the fun doesn't stop there. Now, everything is locked in glass cases like it's Fort Knox, and you get to enjoy the extra bonus of chasing down some poor soul (or several poor souls) to open up the locked glass cases just to buy something--almost anything it seems. The catch? Not every employee has a key, so finding the right one is like a full-on treasure hunt. It's a game of strategy, skill, and patience--or more accurately, a game of who can survive the longest in a store that's actively trying to test your will to live. Now, to be fair, I totally understand that the theft issues here in California are real, but I know they've lost hundreds of dollars just from me alone because I've gotten frustrated with the treasure hunt and simply took my money somewhere else. And I know I'm not the only one. So I really do wonder if they're really "saving" more money by keeping so many of their items locked up. And the cherry on this slow-moving sundae? The staff, while polite, move at a pace that would make sloths look like Olympic sprinters. Walmart, you've truly outdone yourself--this place is an exercise in patience, but not in a good way. This review is for Kathy in the bakery and only for Kathy in the bakery. Kathy is a queen. A gem. She is the sole reason I will continue to give Walmart my business. Outside of the bakery I seldom shop there as is but the bakery always provides yummy cakes that are cute and affordable. But in the past I've always ordered in person. Recently I placed an order online for my daughter's birthday cake. A pull apart cupcake cake of a pastel rainbow with a unicorn. This was the first year my daughter actually picked out her own cake and she was so excited for it. The day of her party I realized I may be able to pick up early and so I went to my email and found my order confirmation from 3 days before. I clicked the link to check order status to find there was no open order or order history. Oh no! I tried over and over to call the store and couldn't get ahold of anyone. My hubby was out grabbing last minute stuff so he popped into the Wally World in question to see if the bakery had our order and they sure didn't. Walmart canceled my order and didn't tell me and this is all a few hours before the party. I don't know why as payment was still pending and I have no issues with my account. You stink Walmart, zero stars. Like I said this review is for Kathy who came in clutch and busted that cake out just in time for my kiddos birthday. She could have easily let us be out of luck and thug it out with a pre-made sheet cake but she came through and slayed. I had a 1:00 PM appointment at the Walmart Auto Care Center on Antelope Rd in Sacramento. I showed up on time, went inside and explained that I needed a tire balancing service on tires I had already purchased from this Walmart. The associate told me to go outside and talk to someone there. Instead of honoring my appointment, they gave priority to another customer who had no appointment and had just walked in. By the time I actually got to speak to someone, it was already 1:15 PM. Even worse, the employee misunderstood my request and thought I was buying all new tires, when I clearly said I only needed a balance on tires I bought earlier. After clearing up that confusion, he told me I would have to wait until they finished working on that other car -- again, the one that arrived **without** an appointment -- before they could even start with mine. At that point, it was already more than 30 minutes past my scheduled time. I asked for my keys back and left. I was not going to pay for anything, because they didn't do anything. This is completely unacceptable. What is the point of making an appointment if you ignore it and prioritize walk-ins? I wasted nearly an hour of my day driving there and back and standing around for nothing. I expect Walmart to do better. Apologies don't fix lost time and disrespect.u up read more

I have one name for you all........SARINA! Please, please, please hire more employee's like Sarina on the night shift. If you are the manager responsible for hiring Sarina, then kudos to you too! She is a force to be reckoned with. I visit your store quite often as I work and live in the immediate area. Every time I see Sarina, she is smiling and helping somebody out. Whether it be a customer or a fellow co-worker, she is taking charge like a leader and showing phenomenal Supervisor qualities. If she has not yet been promoted to a Supervisor....then consider this your sign! The first night I encountered Sarina was about a two weeks ago. I came in to get some things for my bicycle that I was in need of. I take good care of my bike as it is my means of getting to work since the distance is just out of what I am willing to walk lol. I was there to get a bike lock and some other things. I literally stood at the bicycle cage or theft proof case or whatever it's call for about 25 minutes total. Pushing the button an absurd amount of times trying to get someone's attention to come assist me. Unfortunately nobody ever responded. (side note: I have had to get other bicycle related items from this "bicycle accessories dungeon of a black-hole security shelving" since then and still have not successfully got assistance after pushing that damn red button over and over. Might wanna check that out...?) Either way I was about to entirely leave the store all together. I must have had some type of face at that moment because Sarina, picking up the vibe of an unhappy customer reached out to me. I don't remember her exact words, but it was to make sure I got everything I needed. Once she opened up that door I let her know exactly what was on my mind at that time. From employees not understanding English to the laziest employees I have ever seen anywhere, I would give the level of customer support provided by the majority of the p/m/ shift about a 10%. You all can do better when going through the hiring/interviewing process. MORE SARINA'S. So in a nutshell Sarina helped me with EVERY single issue I had and answered all of my questions. By the time I was leaving she had completely changed my mood from unhappy and disgusted...to overall happy and satisfied. She is a natural leader and I notice that when she speaks, people listen....people as in other employees. If there is a way to create a mandatory Customer Support training course for all new employees to attend, I would strongly suggest creating that course and have Sarina train them. I really dislike this store. Customer service is rude. The employees argued with each other on letting me return an air mattress. I purchased one that had a hole in it when it had never been used(I bought a week prior). They have a return policy on the wall behind them that states their return policy and while I was within the guidelines of returning, apparently, it shows online, that air mattresses have only a few day window. It isn't stated on the receipt or their wall behind them, but they googled it and showed me on their phones. One manager walked up and said just let her exchange it for the same one and the employees he managed augur with him. Walmart is known for not being helpful to customers in the store and as much as I want that to not be true, it's proven me wrong each time I come in here. With one exception. The hot case dept seems to have employees with better attitudes. I have interacted with several employees here and they were so sweet & helpful. So thank you Deli for being awesome! read more

This was the very first time we visited this location. We were there about 6:45 am yesterday morning. We got what we needed and headed to the self check. One of the checkstands had a green light and there was an employee working on the one next to it. As we both to the checkstand, the woman said "the self check is not open" in a stern voice. I said, "oh sorry. But it was in green. Maybe you should block off the opening to the self check. Strike #1. Got in line. There were 2 check stands with their lights on. # 1 to my left and #2 with a checker. She was checking a customer. The lady in front of me and behind the lady that was getting checked said, " I rolled up to this check stand, #1, and the checker looked at me and left". She never came back. Behind me, waiting to check, was a Wal-Mart employee and behind him, were 2 or 3 other customers. The checker looked at the line and kept checking. She never called anyone. 3 or 4 employees walked by and never called anyone to check. Strike #2. I usually order from Wal-Mart online because I don't care to go into the one on Auburn Blvd. So I thought I would try the one on Antelope. I think I will keep ordering online. Terrible customer service with everything locked up including toothpaste it adds so much more time to wait for someone to open the locked cabinets and then to do our own self-checkouts, WHO ARE WE RATING ANYWAY? ourselves for doing our own checkouts? Come on Walmart, do better. You are a bazillion dollar company and you lock up everything and provide zero help! You need to hire a better logistics and security team because I am not the only pissed off customer there are numerous people complaining about it. You are going to end up losing to Amazon or Target. The past two visits have been awesome. Less stock on some items but that's understandable right now. They seem to have more staff then usual and they're very helpful. People getting upset about masks is ridiculous. Every worker was wearing one, it's not easy stocking boxes in a mask, customers shouldn't be so upset. Have been looking for a particular item for a few days now and George in hardware was exceptionally helpful. I've been using this pharmacy for years. I went today to pick up a refill that was already filled and ready, a prescription I've had for years and have used this pharmacy for, for years. A controlled substance that my body is 100% reliant on and can cause seizures in withdrawal. I was told by the assistant that I needed my doctor to confirm the prescription. I told her no, I didn't, it was a refill. I was allowed three refills on every script until my doctor needed to personally renew it. She just pretended like I wasn't talking so I asked to speak to the pharmacist. I kid you not, the pharmacist said "well now that Covid is OVER, the PHE is over and any telehealth prescriptions of a controlled substance needs an office visit." I already knew that it was no use. So I called my clinics pharmacists department. They told me that the PHE isn't technically over until may 11th, and that every other pharmacy is still honoring all telehealth prescriptions, because the PHE suspended the Ryan haight act of 2008 due to no doctors taking in person appointments during the pandemic. It's not even may yet. I even called three separate pharmacies in the area and talked to their pharmacists who told me the same thing. When I called back and spoke to the pharmacist, he had no idea there was an exemption, that there was a PHE, that it was still in effect, and claimed they've always required a doctors in office visit "for like years". Well, that's weird, because I've been coming here for two controlled substances "for like years" and have never had to have an in person appointment while the Covid Public Health Emergency was in effect. He then asked ME or my doctors to email him the information he should know as a licensed pharmacist. I've never seen or heard something so incredulous in my life. The three other pharmacists just said it's wal-mart and their pharmacy is a joke anyways. After years and years and years of using them, I changed to a different pharmacy. However that will still take days. What's even worse is they sent my pharmacy an electronic notice that the script was filled and ready on the 15th. I have to now wait what may up to a week and risk withdrawal and seizures because Walmart is indeed, a joke. I'm going to trust the four other pharmacists I spoke to, the Drug enforcement agency website, and the New York times over a pharmacist who didn't even know there was a PHE in place over the last two years. read more
