This is a decent Ross. I came here the other day in hopes of finding a rug for a low price, and was able to find one. The rug I picked out is five by seven feet with a blue paisley pattern, and only cost $14.99. The cheapest I could find a similar rug anywhere else was about twice that price. The store is a little dirty and disorganized, but not any more so than one would normally expect for a Ross. The line wasn't very long, and the cashier who helped me was friendly. When I came back out to my car, I found Guardian parking lot security taking pictures of my car, as if he were planning to tow it, or something. When I got in my car, he proceeded to take pictures of my car with me in it. I had pulled through, and the back of my car was a few inches over the line, but there were six other cars in the same row that were a few inches over the line, but in the other direction. I was clearly a customer, not a loiterer. I had made purchases at both Kohl's and Burlington, but had stuck them in my trunk, so that no one would be tempted to break my windows over cheap home goods. My car ended up not starting, and I had to call AAA. I didn't feel safe leaving my car at this point, as I was afraid that parking lot security might be engaging in predatory towing practices. It was so weird. I actually took pictures of the guy taking pictures of me, and sent them to my mom, cause it was a little creepy. Eventually, AAA came and jumped my car, and I went home. I came in around 5:40p.m. on September 2, and the cashier (the fat girl with curly hair wearing a t-shirt) was extremely rude for no reason. All she said to me was "Next" and "Cash or card." After I paid, she turned around without acknowledging me, leaving me standing there unsure if I should just grab my receipt. Her attitude was unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. Also, I forgot to mention that she was talking really loudly about customers. If she wants to judge people, she should first look at herself in the mirror. read more

There are only two booths and you know what a pleasure it is to wait until each person measures the things he has chosen! Pretty limited selection on just about everything. We just left the store and I left annoyed by the cashier. How many times do you have to ask the customer for donations or money in one visit? If you ask me for a donation and I say I'm not interested in donating please don't ask me next if I want to round my total up. How about offer to round down? Or donate to me? With the prices of food and inflation going up people just can't afford to give. Nice location with very friendly staff and great deals for your home, clothing, shoes, handbags and of course sweets and a lot at that! Today I purchased a lovely tablecloth for my dining room table and some placemats to go along with them and it looked very nice! Staff are very rude to those who don't speak English. A lady, at the fitting room, said which direction is lady's side to my mom; I didn't hear her, and my mom doesn't speak English, so we looked where the lady's side is. The rude lady started to mock us and pointing with her hands several times saying: "left, right, left, right" like we are some stupid people. We smiled to her, and she thought nobody speaks Enlist started to say to herself: "oh gosh, oh gosh...". Very rude and unpleasant old lady... I wish I could give 0 stars. Had the worst experience ever. I went into the dressing room to try on some pants and wasn't given the "card" with the number of items I had. I then came out where an older Russian lady worker told me to return my number card which I told her I wasn't given one. She then asked me if I'm buying my clothes which I said yes to. Then she told me that I need to read the sign which says that I need a number card. (NOTE: no where did it say that the dressing room was closed and there were other ladies trying on clothes too). The sign she referred to was that a worker would count my clothes and then give me a number card. There was a worker there when I first walked up to try my clothes who didn't give me a card. She told me that there is a sign and that I ignored it and that I need to read (obviously she didn't read it). She the had the AUDACITY to say "we are recording you with security cameras". I just wanted to try on some pants. She then immediately backed off when my boyfriend walked up to me and stood next to me. I'm beyond furious. Horrible service and I couldn't believe she treated me that way. I was tempted to not purchase my clothes but thank goodness I liked them enough to stay in that store for a couple more minutes to purchase them. read more

Literally just saw the rudest "manager" ever. Mr Steven not only threw our items into the bag as if he did not give a damn if we were in front of him he had the word champ resting bitch face of the century. All this is before I even made it to his register. My knit sweater was pulled off the hanger causing the delicate stitching to pull. After being told my total with the same resting Bitch face a prior customer also gone, he proceeded to throw my bag on the counter and before I could even reach for my bag after receiving my receipt he took off!!! As I'm walking by the next register which he walked over to, a female employee lets him know that she needs to go on her break because she is already over her time, this POS says "It's fine keep working" no bro, under California law you should be allowing your employees their breaks at the appointed times mind you it wasn't even that busy in there and there were plenty of other employees around that could have coverage for her. This is only based on my recent experience. I purchased a jacket from here over a year ago and they never took the security device off my jacket. Of course I don't have the receipt (over a year ago) but after asking the manager Marianna to please take it off so I won't set off security in every store I enter, she said no. She said without the receipt they couldn't take it off... REALLY? My coat is very used and it wasn't stolen. In fact I kept the receipt for over 6 months and never wore it because it's white. Now its gray and dingy and they still won't take it off for me... YOU SUCK! read more

Wish I could give them no stars. I went in to the store to find a party dress for my bachelorette party tomorrow evening. I found about 8 dresses I wanted to try on. I went to the dressing room where the woman working was quite ruse and rolled her eyes at me while I fumbled with the hangers trying to place them on her rack to count them. No help. Just a leer. After she pats them all down, she allows me to take them back. After I try them on, I'm stoked I found something, and go skipping out towards the exit. I try to hand her the dresses I don't want, like I would it any other place with an attendant, and she just looks back at the rack, like I should have known to put the back myself. She then demands the dress I'm going to purchase back so she can pay it down, like I'm some damn criminal and I hid a kitchen sink in the SLINKY party dress. I don't believe paying customers want to be treated like petty criminals. When I approached the manager about how this situation was handled, she told me the employee was just following company policy. Funny thing, I've never been treated like that at any other Ross. If I wasn't desperate for a dress I would have told them where to put it! But you can bet your bottom dollar I will never be back. Looks like I'm a Marshall's girl from here on out. read more

I LOVE Ross! They have lots of unusual gifts for decent prices. I also sometimes score and find sheets for my Cal King sized bed there. HOWEVER, this particular location is NOT my favorite. The aisles are pushed WAY too close together. There is no way two people, let alone two carts can pass each other in the aisles. I like to have a "little" room when shopping. They also seem to be a little short on supply. Their plus size clothes section at this location SUCKS. They have ZERO pants and that bothers me because other Ross stores have a lot of supply. HOWEVER, I still enjoy Ross as a store in general. read more

This at one time was one of my favorite Ross stores-- they used to have a wonderful jewelry selection-- now the cases are mostly empty. The garden/home section is also very minimal-- it appears they are concentrating mostly on clothing. I did find a very nice wind chime-- all metal with a lovely tone but otherwise was very disappointed. The security guard was friendly & greeted me upon entering--but the checkout staff were dismal-- more interested in talking to each other & letting the line grow before asking for the next customer. This is a pretty nice Ross! They have a large selection of items in every department, and it is always nice and clean! Everything is always organized and you find things in their proper places! Which of course makes it easier for you to find those cheap finds! Also, this Ross never gets overly busy, which is a big plus. Parking is plentiful. I have to start out by saying that Im not a big fan of looking through clothes racks to find deals anywhere, be it Macy's or ross. Though I have to admit that out of all the Ross stores in sacramento this is hands down the best one. Pros: 1)Their merchandise is always organized and the workers are always rearranging things and cleaning. This is a big plus because most stores are kinda yucky looking. 2) Selection of merchandise is great. I always find really cute dresses for like $15!! I usually spend about $150+ of dresses, but since I found this store I check here first before going to nordstrom's for dresses. 3) Friendly staff, lets be honest most ross store's employee's are kinda rude, but they're nice here. WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE with the "supervisor" Rose. I found a dress that was my size on clearance for $7.. not bad until I found the same exact dress (larger size) on clearance for $3. I took both dresses up to the register and Rose could not honor the $3 price because she said it's a different sticker even though it was literally the same dress!!! I then explained how I felt discriminated against because the only difference was the size and she wanted to charge me more for the size small dress. She began raising her voice at me saying she would absolutely not change the price to $3. I had to beg to speak to her manager (after she refused the first 3 times I asked, and insisted she was the manager).. the manager finally came out, she was nice and said they could honor the $3 price since it was the same dress, just a different size. Pissed off Rose rung it up for $3 then WAITED for the manager to walk away and then explained to me that she was going to change the price BACK to $7 because she could not break the rules. WTFFF. I did not appreciate that after ALLL of that, after her manager said she could give it to me for $3, she changed it back to $7 because it was a different sticker. IT WAS THE SAME DRESS (just different size). THAT IS SIZE DISCRIMINATION. I'm never coming back here. I am absolutely horrified by the way Rose treated me. read more

I had this location confused with Kohl's, this store is okay, they have some nice pieces of clothing. Although the store is a MESS! I used to see individuals/their children throw clothing on the floor and it would get stepped on, ripped, etc. Clothing would be in TOTALLY weird locations. read more

Been here few days ago to look for clothes. They pretty much have a decent selection there, from clothes to home decors, shoes, and other stuff. I ended up buying about 8 pieces of clothing and costs me less than $80, plus 2 large art work frames. I would try to visit other Ross stores as well to compare. So far, I liked it here. Hello, My name is Jessica, I am a frequent customer to your Roseville, CA and Citrus Heights locations. Today I was feeling a little down so my best friend and I decided we'd make a late night stop at our favorite bargain store, Ross. We drove to the Citrus Heights location and began shopping, soon enough closing time was approaching. We grabbed our things and headed to the dressing room. We emerged victorious and found a few things to brighten up our bad day. As we were approaching the register with five minutes before the stores closing we were bombarded by a women yelling at us. She was pointing at her watch and waving her hands, barking at us that the registered closed. I ask why she was being so rude we were headed to check out and the store had not even closed yet. She starts yelling that she made an announcement on the loud speaker and we needed to leave. We informed her we just left the dressing room and didn't hear her announcement, but she continued to say, "you need to learn how to read a watch". I have never felt so disrespected in my life. We had not left a mess or caused a seen, we had approached check out before store closing, why was this women so disrespectful?!? I quickly asked for the manager and to my AMAZEMENT she was indeed the manager (Martha). She threatened to not let me buy my things and to kick us out of the store. I calmly expressed we had every attention of leaving and never returning. I shop at Ross easily once every week- two weeks. I am sad to say I feel that this terrible customer service now makes the next door competitor, Burlington Coat Factory become much more appealing. I told her I'd be contacting management, she laughed and said go for it sweetie.
