I will never shop at Walmart again. They expect the customers to check and bag their own items and also be responsible for making sure proper tags are on everything. Thats not our job. We are not paid to do that or trained on store policies. We're paying customers. The store associate checked all my items and let me complete my purchase only to be stopped by the door woman with a power trip demanding my receipt then telling me I needed to go into their security office. I missed one $2 item because there was no barcode so I scanned the same item multiple times. I didn't try to walk out with a tv it was a 2$ cheap shirt probably made in a sweatshop that both the store associate and I missed because there were no tags. she then asked for my personal info and I.D. which I should not have to provide. Went in to get tires and the old lady back there was very rude and kept walking away from me looked at the tires I wanted and said they don't have any and couldn't even see if any of the other stores had them and then couldn't get the door to open to go out of the store and the lady walked off again to get her to fix the door and then had to wait for someone to come though the out side of the store to get out I will never get tires from that Walmart again read more

This store isn't as big, or as busy as some other locations. I parked by the outdoor living doors because it is closer to what I needed to get, but I couldn't get in the door. They were locked with a sign saying use main door. That's really odd I thought. It's right at the beginning of summer when everyone shops for their summer garden, and BBQ fun. When I checked out at the regular registers at the front of the store, I asked the cashier about the garden center doors being closed. They told me that they don't have enough employees to run the cash registers, so the garden center doors need to be closed until they get more help. With so many people out of work, you would think they would be able to fill all positions. Just maybe they should increase their starting wage. read more

This is a great location. We usually try to go here instead of the Walmart on Union in Midvale. This is a larger store than Midvale's and tends to have what we wanted as is not the case at Midvale location. Nice and clean and I use the Walmart phone app to find products as that sometimes are difficult to find what we need. read more

Excellent Customer Service from Vic at SELF CHDCKOUT. I filled my own container with filtered water. I could not find the code to pay for it. Vic came over twice to assist me. He trained me on how to pay for it "myself" next time at self checkout. This is a SUPERSTORE...they have EVERTHING including auto tires, to swim suits, to great produce. read more

A large clean store with impressive stock. The supply chain issues make it difficult to know if items are difficult to replenish. Negative 10 stars on the drive up service. ABSOLUTELY ABHORRENT. I waited for 75 minutes before getting out of my car and knocking on the staff entry door. It was an unbelievable train wreck with understaffing and mixed up orders. I loaded my car myself and returned the push cart to the staff entry. I will never ever ever (getting the picture here?) evvvvvvvvvvvver use drive up here again. Yes, sometimes dissing Walmart can sometimes be like shooting fish in a barrel, but I had a finally got around to check out the Supercenter location near my house, Sandy's Quarry Bend. Things started out with a phhhht. NO AVAILABLE SHOPPING CARTS! I know, I know, no shopping carts at Walmart is like running out of tortillas at Taco Bell, but here we are. Granted, this was the afternoon, 3 days before Christmas, but c'mon man! Also, their check-out lines are a mess: Only half were opened. If 3 DAYS before Christmas isn't the time to have all of your 25 checkout registers open, when is? As for the store itself, it was new and well stocked ... maybe too well stocked with far too many blocked areas. The selection is hard to beat (although quality at times is below-average, in everything from food to flip-flops). It's always the devil's bargain. Get cheaper stuff, get a little lower quality. And there are those "People of Walmart" that make it a somewhat frustrated. In the end, it's a pretty good store. I just wish I didn't have to panhandle for my shopping chart out in the parking lot. read more

If I could give this experience no stars I would... Last night I placed my pick up order at Walmart, because I loathe entering the store especially with mandates in place. I get a email and text to notify me that my order was canceled. I was bummed but thought maybe they were overwhelmed and weren't doing grocery pick up...assuming they were too busy to get to my order I reluctantly pull up to the store... I go inside and on nearly every aisle there is a grocery picker picking items for grocery pick up... I shop for all of my items minus 2 items that I couldn't find and head to the check out. I had a pretty full, so I didn't go to self check out, which had a huge line. There were 2 lanes of the 20 check out stands open. The two people ahead of me didn't have a bunch so I thought cool...this should be quick, right? WRONG...the man ringing people up have to comment on every single item he was ringing. He had a problem with his hand so he was scanning, bagging and handling money with 1 hand. It was taking forever... I hand him 11 20$ bills. My totally was 218 and some change. He leave the stand to go to customer service and I can see he is asking them about one of the $20 bills. She quickly looks at it and hands it back...like, what is the flipping issue...gives me my change and I finally leave after over a half hour in the check out stand. If someone can't use both hands to check out groceries maybe they should be put on a different job...maybe if you can't pick everyone's groceries you should pick none... I'm so frustrated I cried when I got home...nice one Walmart... read more

I rarely shop at Walmart. Like...one or two times a year? It's the worst, and besides which I'm not too keen on supporting them anyways. Once in a very brief while, though, I'll think it's a good idea for some reason. Maybe I'm hoping they'll have something super cheap there, or maybe there's something only they sell. This past weekend I went because my husband wanted to, and also because I thought it would be a one stop shop: I needed seeds plus some cheap tee shirts and snacky food. They'd already cleared out all their seeds, so that was a bust. I did find the shirts, but they didn't have some of the particular food I was looking for. Disappointing, but none of this was a huge deal...then I went to check out. There were maybe five cash registers open? The self check-out line was long, but I figured it would go pretty quickly. About five items in I got the dreaded, "Remove the last item you scanned," error. We waited five minutes, but the poor attendant was rushing around helping everyone, and it didn't look like she'd be available any time soon. So we just took our stuff to a regular register...which then had a problem, and we ended up waiting in line another 20 minutes. Did I tell you I hate Walmart? Their prices just aren't that much less than other stores, and even if they were, my time is worth way more than whatever I could save here. The only thing this Walmart has going for it is that it is less dingy than the Fort Union one. So if you like Walmart and you live in this area this would be your go-to spot. But if you like Walmart can we sit down and I'll suggest about thirty alternatives? Your life is about to get so much better. read more

This store is in a good location and it's convenient, but every time I go to pick up a few items, they are always out of something I need. They do not stock their shelves that well because they are always out of stuff. If you need help finding something, it's hard to ask the employees because most of them have no clue what you are even talking about. Every time I have needed to get something at the jewelry counter no one is ever there and I'll have to ask someone to call an employee over and no one ever shows up. The registers on the south side are always closed, they need to put self check out on both sides of the store like all the other Walmarts have. The self check out line gets so long because they don't have enough of them. read more

I bought a bike and did site to store pickup since they were the only location that showed it in stock. When we picked up, the store associate told us a bolt was loose and to tighten it at home. When we got it home, we noticed it had many issues; including rusted metal, dents, scratches, missing paint, broken reflectors, etc. This bike was not advertised as a return or used, it was supposed to be new from the store. I called and asked to speak with a manager to see what we could do, and waited over 10 minutes on hold with no manager picking up the other line, even after the customer service associate told me someone was going to be getting on the call. read more

Finally found a small battery kiosk on my own and it was pretty much empty. Plenty of other Walmarts around. Pick a different one. I was at the Mustang Walmart supercenter on Tuesday the 16th around 2 PM with my granddaughters while shopping a black man walked by us with his pants, literally down behind his knees with the front of himself exposed. Through all of the holes in his underwear. As we Went through the self check out he came up behind us and went to the one next to us. Win. I noticed he was staying in there. I moved my youngest granddaughter to the other side of me and told her to look the other direction, and then went to a Person at the checkout and told her that he needs to be reported to the manager immediately because he was literally exposed. She completely understood and said that she was going to the manager in which she did. When she came back, she had told me that the manager was in the office doing a bank balance . So obviously, the safety and the integrity of his customers did not matter. We tried to tell our children and grandchildren the dangers of people like this. However, when the manager of a huge chain store does not give a damn about their customer safety that's when I will no longer ever shop at this Walmart again . Uggggh, I dread coming to this Walmart. So much. It's always understaffed. The checkout lines are always hugely long, there is never anyone manning the online pickup counter, and the return lines are horrendous. Unfortunately it's the closest store to my house and I've been here many times. I came here during Memorial Day weekend (Saturday) for an online pickup and it took 20+ minutes for someone to come to the pickup counter. I pressed the help button multiple times and asked employees for help as they walked past, and it still took 20 minutes. When someone finally came to help, she said their manager had let tons of people take Memorial Day weekend off of work and they were super understaffed. And when I came to make a return the other day, the line was super long and only one person was working the return desk. It took so long to go through the line that I almost left. read more

Went in for an oil change and tire rotation. I was the first one there as they opened. The opening mechanic decided to take the day off. After an hour another guy arrived. I'm still the only customer there. He signs my car in and I wait. And wait. And WAIT. Two and a half hours later the car still isn't done. Other customers came after me and left before me. When they finally got the car done they gave me the bill. They did not install the oil filter that I asked for. They put on seven quarts of oil but charged me for ten. In an effort to clear the logistics of getting a prescription filled, due to confusion on Walmart's side, I called and spoke to Gary Johnson. He's supposedly the head pharmacist. WOW! This guy could not be more rude and unprofessional;. He effectively told me and my doctor to "screw off". No effort to resolve the issue. Unprofessional, rude and offensive. Candidly, Walmart should fire this pharmacist. I highly recommend NOT using this pharmacy unless you enjoy mistakes followed by insulting behavior, I will be contacting senior management about this matter. I want people to know if this HORRENDOUS customer service experience i had. Don't support this walmart!! i was trying to checkout and had quite a few items and i didn't want to do self check out because it always has issues and takes too long. so i get in a line (21) there was already like 5 people in and the only other lane open had a bunch of people as well. they're definekty needs to be more lanes open! the lady then just points up at to me. and says nothing. i did not understand. then just looked at me pointed up at the sign and then to the row next to us, that literally had a HUGE line now. I get that lanes close but she was SO rude about it. it was super unprofessional and she could have a least said something!! instead of just rudely pointing. i was kinda appalled. so then i had to go to the self checkout(while the lady from the cashier just stared me down-like what!! pay attention to your lane!!) which i absolutely did not want to do in the first place because i had huge items and it would be very difficult for me to do myself. so of course the self checkout had an issue and was "calling for assistance" except NO ONE was there! it was ridiculous. i had to move all my stuff to another lane and redo everything because no one came!! where are the workers?? then after that i look back at the line i tried to checkout in and that cashier had let other people in the line after telling us no. WHAT?? i don't understand her doing that for no reason-especially having people still get in the line. I felt SO discriminated. then on top of that, the guy at the front doors was acting like i was trying to shoplift!! I am SO OFFENDED ABOUT THIS. i did NOTHING for him to assume this and he was extremely rude and SO unprofessional. then he proceeded to follow me to customer service. I am truly just appalled at how horrific my experience was at this walmart and how it was multiple people who made it so horrible. that says a lot to me about the management. something is just not right. it truly made me feel awful for the rest of the day. being discriminated, having a horrible checkout experience where i was told to do it myself and then having NO ONE at the self checkout to assist when it was needed! truly appalled at this experience. how can you get away with this as a company?? He overcharged me n I pointed out his mistake n he got so upset w/me because, it's going to take forever to do a refund...mind u, he overcharged me. He had a fit, that I said I would just go n get another pot of flower so he didn't need to do the refund. He said, "Yeah, that would be easier, do u know how long it's going to take me to do the refund?!" Never, never come here n ALWAYS look at ur receipt before walking away. Not the best for produce. I mean, they're fine. It doesnt taste bad or look bad, but they're never fully stocked. A couple weeks ago I came because I wanted to make guacamole. They didn't have a single jalapeño, but they had everything else I needed. A full week later, I decided to try again and still they didn't have any jalapeños. Now I'm trying to make something else and they have jalapeños galore but not a lick of cilantro. This is the case every single time I come. read more

Let's start with low hanging fruit and say the customer service is atrocious. My five year old knocked himself good with a jewelry display, like enough to split his scalp. I cleaned him up in the bathroom well enough but did not want to stick the bloody towels in the trash there (hazmat instinct from work). The employee- a "customer host" in a yellow vest I might add- who I finally managed to catch was fairly annoyed I even flagged him down, but it got worse. I asked if he had a hazmat bag or anything like that to dispose of the bloody towels properly. "Um no not really." And he gave me a disgusted look. I was not asking him to touch the towels directly, just asking for a bag to put them in. No hazmat kit at all? Really? I guess I must have looked a little incredulous because he finally pulled a cleaning glove from somewhere under the counter to wrap it up. So I let him know he should check the display since I thought there was a bit of blood on it. I got a "yeah sure" and he went back to his phone. I realize I may be expecting too much of Walmart but aside from the total brush-off I got from the employee (yeah it's okay buddy no need to worry about the kid who got hurt by one of your displays), what concerns me more is the casual take on public health. read more

I couldn't believe how hot it was in Wal-Mart on my last shopping trip. I was practically dripping with sweat by the time I got to the check out, where the nice cashier lady told me that the corporate office sets the temperatures in the stores - she gets complaints about it all the time. They keep it cold in the stores in the winter, and hot in the summer. Seems like they should be able to afford a couple of extra bucks to keep their customers (and employees!) comfortable. read more

It's a Walmart. They import virtually of of their non-food items from China and sell it deep and cheap. NASCAR fans love this place. Declining American manufacturing jobs? Don't blame the Democrats, blame companies like this and the American public who want things as cheap as possible. Lead in kids toys? Too damn much regulation! Blame the Democrats again! Oh, wait. That doesn't make sense. Democrats lilke regulations and taxes. Hum... Product variety is bland. Store brand options are plentiful. Prices are good but they come at the expense of labor conditions and the competitive advantage of being as big as they are. As the great Reverend Peyton said, "Walmart killed the country store!" Why is it that every single employee seems like their souls have been sucked out of their bodies through their nose? They don't smile. You never see them laugh. The ONLY time you'll be greeted is when the checker asks you if you found everything you were looking for. I'm pretty sure they don't say, "Thank you" when they give you your receipt. Perhaps they do but I'm pretty sure they don't mean it. I've met employees from Iraq, Iran, Eastern Europe and Central/South America at this location. It breaks my heart that people can be exploited like they are. Chalk it up to the economy. I say chalk it up to the power of monopoly and the Robber Barrons of the Walton Family. They are open 24 hours. I've done a lot of last-minute Christmas shopping here. It's a depressing place and I think my life is made that much more miserable and my life expectancy that much shorter every time I patronize this place. Which isn't very often. read more

Worst Walmart around. Went there today to find something, said it was in stock but when we got there, all of the shelves were a mess and not stocked what so ever. We walked around the entire store 4 times and couldn't find a single worker. Found a person wearing a Walmart shirt and asked if he could ask us, told us he was off of the clock and walked away. Went to the registers and the lady told us her lane was closed before I could even talk. Asked for help and told her that there was no workers. She looked at her phone and said if we go over there someone would help. Went back to the department that we were needing help at, and no one was there. After 15 minutes we finally found another worker just talking to the guy who was "off of the clock" asked for help. She just told us the isle it was on. I tried to explain that we have been looking in that isle and it's not there but online it shows it was in stock. She then called Anna over the intercom, waited for 10 minutes. No one came. The lady that was "helping" us just went back talking to the "off the clock" worker. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Don't keep a store open if you don't have workers that do their job, and that don't have common sense when it comes to customer service. read more

I have tried giving this Walmart a chance, but I have never had a good experience at this particular one. The customer service at this Walmart is a joke. I tried to return two things that I had bought a few days earlier at a different Walmart and they would only return one thing. They said the other item was not on the receipt, when it clearly was as I bought both items together. They told me it meant they didn't have the item in that store so they couldn't return it. They were unwilling to just have someone go and look for the item to confirm that they had it in the store. They just kept telling me that they didn't have it in the store so they couldn't do the return it. So, I went to go find it to show them that they had it and I found it. They then said that I had to go to the Walmart I bought it from to return it. They were so rude and lady was nothing but condescending to me. All of the older ladies that work at customer service just talk to you like you're an idiot and are unwilling to do anything to help you. I've worked in retail for 10 years and have dealt with many returns that come from a different store location. Even if we did get that exact item in the store, we still returned it because all of the stores work together. This Walmart also stops taking returns after a certain time. Every Walmart I have ever been to let's you still return at the register where you can buy cigarettes, even after customer service is closed. Walmart should do themselves a favor and make sure all their stores are on the same page so that customers don't have to try and keep up with each stores contradictory rules. read more
