In terms of grocery store options in Stafford, this is pretty much my go-to store. There's better walmarts in America and there's worse ones. Sometimes the shelves aren't well stocked, but in my experience the staff is actually very helpful in going to the back and getting things for you. I've never had an employee roll their eyes or act like I was causing them trouble, which is a new experience since I've moved to Northern Virginia. Betty is particular is the bomb dot com! I always see her running around taking care of things, checking people out, etc. She's helped me multiple times always with a smile on her face. Other than that, it's Walmart. Pretty standard throughout the US. Not the prettiest place, but the prices and selection can't really be beat in North Stafford from what I've seen. read more

I just had a remarkable experience at the auto service center in the Stafford Walmart on Garrisonville Road location in Stafford, Virginia. I needed one tire (there was a nail in my existing tire) and this was the only location in northern Virginia that had the required size. I had purchased a full set of tires at the Walmart in Christiansburg, Virginia about two months prior, with the requisite Road hazard insurance. The service manager there was polite and helpful, the shop area clean and organized, and the technicians hard working and efficient. They truly enjoyed their work and customer service was excellent. Understanding Walmart's target customers and uneven reputation, I thought my experience a pleasant and unexpected departure from the cattle car mentality out on the retail showroom. Fast forward two months to Stafford, Virginia. The service manager was pleasant enough, and she delegated my seemingly simple service needs to a young man who was clearly in training. He told me there were three customers ahead of me and that my job should take an hour and a half. Fair enough. Three hours later the job was still not done. Two other customers left in a huff because of the delay. The two young trainees were clearly embarrassed, and the previously pleasant service manager had morphed into a harried, upset shrew, storming into the back room to complain about her job (most likely). I finally figured out the problem when the shop foreman - an older gentlemen with a limp and earring - came in looking for my paperwork, wondering why I was getting a free tire, and looking for my keys that I had turned in earlier. Putting two and two together, I recalled two young men sporting "Walmart Tire Service" badges hanging out at the food court during my three hour wait: one making time with his admittedly cute and doting girlfriend, the other checking his Instagram feed. They should have been in the shop turning over pending jobs. Almost 4 hours after arriving, I finally had my tire and paperwork, and headed home. Unless something drastically changes, reviews and customer feedback ain't getting any better for this location. They need to take a lesson from their counterparts in Christiansburg. Horrible! I ordered a cupcake cake for pick up at 6pm on 2/25 and when I went to get it, I was told the receipt said 2/28! My copy shows the 25th and the store copy shows that the woman changed it after I left and you can see where she made the 5 into an 8! The only reason I gave 2 stars is the other bakery women were very helpful and apologetic and made me cupcakes on the spot and gave me a discount. Over all a horrible experience. read more

Boooooo! I was very shocked to find a Walmart that is NOT open 24 hours and NOT a supercenter (grocery section). The constant remodeling is a huge annoyance. Even though the store as a whole is much nicer after the renovations, I had my first experience with the produce department yesterday and I cannot say the same for it. First of all, they had a very poor selection of produce. When I got closer and began inspecting the produce, I noticed there were fruit flies everywhere. I'm not talking about a couple here and there. It was a swarm of them. There was an apricot that was completely covered in mold. At this point, I gave up and decided that perhaps the pre-packaged fruit would be a better idea. It all looked good so I purchased some watermelon, pineapple, strawberries, and mango. The use by date on all of them is not for a couple days and I decided to take the watermelon to work for breakfast today. As soon as I removed the plastic surrounding the lid, I was greeted by one of the most foul smells I've ever smelt. It was awful and I would definitely take it back and get a refund but I immediately took it to the outdoor trashcan at my office so my co-workers didn't have to be subjected to the smell every time they opened the fridge today. As soon as I get home I will be inspecting my other produce to see if it needs to be returned. I must say, though, even if it seems fine after experiencing that horrid smell earlier today, I don't think I'd be able to eat it. read more

I liked their service!! Especially the cashiers, I always go to Sarah, Constance, and Tiffani. They are super nice and quick with bagging. Sometimes their isn't enough cashiers, which management needs to do something about that. I feel like this Walmart isn't ghetto at all, compared to the one in Woodbridge !! I hate that I continue to go to this location like it's my only choice. Yesterday, 9/11 (RIP, never forget) I went because I was feening for a specific item by Little Debbie. This store is OFTEN out of stock of many items; management has not gotten it right yet to not allow their shelves to go bare. No store should show their "nakedness". Having bare shelves gives the perception that you run outta *bleep* TOO OFTEN. It doesn't matter that you have a 3rd shift crew who mainly do restocking. This location be running out of the common stuff, milk, eggs, bread. Their bare shelves look like many people were in a panic & bought up all the necessities. read more

Really poor customer service! Ordered 2 items online for in-store pickup. The in-store pickup transaction stated the items were in stock and available for same day pick up. I placed the order in the morning. As evening approached, still no text (you are required to place a phone number with your order so they can contact you). I stopped in, and the woman working the pick-up area first told me that my order was not in her system. Then stated we needed to provide her with an order #...no problem, done. She laughed again, and stated the order was not in her system. When I described what the item was, she rolled her eyes and stated that she cancelled the entire order. When I questioned why she didn't call and let me know, she stated that it was a different company that was handling that....the different company is "walmart.com". (she did have my phone number after all). When I questioned why walmart already charged my credit card for the purchase, she said it was a different company...."walmart.com". Her manager came over and couldn't give me an answer as to when they would give me a credit, since they charged me for merchandise that they never had in the first place. I asked them to clarify why there website stated they have merchandise in stock when they don't. Their answer: a different company manages their inventory, "walmart.com". read more

Customer service accuses their customers here!!! This morning, I bought a VIZIO T.V. and what was inside was not what I bought. The serial number AND the model number of the actual television and what was listed on the box were different. The television was NOT in working conditions either! When I brought it back to Walmart and to customer service to return it, they accused me of trading in an old television and placing it into the box. I asked them to look up if this box had been returned before and which employee was responsible for it because they didn't check what was inside the box before taking it back. They told me, condescendingly, that I was their first-time buyer, without looking it up on the computer. It doesn't seem like we are the first to buy! I totally agree with the other aggravated Walmart consumers below who posted previously. I always go to this location because of the close location from my home. Well, one early morning I went there to pick up from items for a breakfast gathering we were having at work with my co-workers and there were palettes of shit everywhere! It seems like they are overworked and under paid and some don't care because most of them always seem upset by the looks on their face. The lines are always too long or there aren't a lot of cashiers available to check out waiting customers. I think they need to do a lot better because it's a huge problem. I always find what I need BUT it just takes too long because of the shortness of staff and the long ass lines. There is also a girl, I think her name is Darlene, who's absolutely rude for no reason at all. She was very inpatient with me and appeared very annoyed when I asked her to double bag by grocery items because the bags are so thin and there were times when my bags were torn because the cashiers like to put milk and juice in the same bag (who does that)! They also need to renovate and clean up shop by getting rid of the old and bring in new people who want to work and provide great customer service to others. read more

ALWAYS SO MUCH STUFF IN THE AISLES! Pallets everywhere - I can't believe this store passes the fire safety codes with all the pallets of merchandise in the aisles. It's so difficult to maneuver around to shop in this store because of all the stuff everywhere. Merchandise is everywhere - who cares about safety and convenience and MOBILITY of customers, it seems to be all about cramming as much merchandise into the aisles as possible. The produce and personal care sections are frequently out of stock on popular items - so frustrating. Store is not particularly clean. Always a line to check out, even though there are so many registers most are closed. This Walmart is closest thing to my house so I tend to shop there but I HATE IT. read more

On Thursday February 22, I went to Stafford Virginia Walmart to have tires put onto a Toyota Sequoia. I arrived at the store at 4:45 PM. I talked to gentleman at the counter about honoring their road hazard plan since my tires tread was worn before my warrant has ended. I bought four tires which had a 60,000 miles warranty and I only went around 35,000 miles on those tires. I have been a loyal customer of Walmart Auto and Tire department for 13 years. I bought my vehicle in 2005, I have always bought my tires from Walmart auto and tire department because I was in the service and their road hazards plan would follow me where every I went, I thought. The gentleman at the counter told me I have to talk to his floor manager (Patrick). Patrick and I got into a heated disagreement because he told me that Stafford Virginia Walmart was not going to honor the road hazard plan. Patrick attitude and unprofessionalism was notice not only by myself, but the other customers in the store. I requested to talk to the department manager (Solomon), after talking to Solomon we walked out to my truck and Solomon said that they would honor the road hazards plan. We discussed the details of the warranty, he said he would inform Patrick of the charges. I waited for about three and half hours for them to put on two tires. Customers who was getting tires onto their vehicle who I was in front of left the store before my vehicle was finish. It was a little after 8:00 PM before they finished my vehicle. At this time Solomon has going home for the day. Once I received the bill they had charged me the full price of the tires and tried to charge me again for the road hazards plan. Why would anyone purchase something that didn't work the first time? I had to get a manager from another department to honor the discussion that Solomon and I discussed. This was a tiresome and disbelief experience. To top it all off on the 23rd, Friday morning my vehicle was on flat when I woke up, I had to get my neighbor to take me to buy an air inflator pump to put air into my tire. I am military veteran who just retired with a 100% total and permanent disability. This stress and manual labor is causing undo harm to my medical conditions. Every morning there after my vehicle would be on flat. On the 25th February I took my vehicle back to Stafford Virginia Walmart to have them look at my vehicle. They told me it would take four hours before they could LOOK at my vehicle to figure out what they did wrong. Again, Patrick and I had another heated disagreement. There is no way I should have to wait four hours for them to look at something they messed up. If they would have fixed it right the first time I wait three and half hour, I would not have to come back and have them look at it again. I am in the process of moving to Texas and don't have time to wait around a store for someone to repair what they should have fixed the first time. Again, I had to get another manager but this time it was the Co-Manager of the store (Stacey), I tried to explain her the situation but she was not willingly to listen to the situation from the customer point of view. I tried to explain that I didn't have time to be waiting around the store for them to correct their mistake. I asked if I could leave my vehicle and they get me a rental so I could carry out with my day. She refused to understand the situation that it is their mistake that got me back at their store. Due to the time crunch I must ride around with this air inflator in my truck to put air into my tire when it goes flat. This is not the behavior I expected from a major business corporation like Walmart, this is unsatisfactory and unbecoming of Walmart. There is no way any customer should be treated in this manner. People in Stafford area please be caution of the tire and auto department of Stafford Virginia Walmart. read more

I read all of the reviews and thought I'd add my 2cents...I personally mainly shop early mornings here, because of safety. This area is nice due to all of the new home construction, I think that's why they made it a Super Center in 2011. But if you read the local paper this is the Wal-Mart where the grifters/flim flammers love to hit. I think because it's near 95 so they can grab & go. But they usually get caught. So I never go here at night. This is a mixed military community so all types visit here. I never see those Wal-Mart people types that are pictured on the internet. This store doesn't carry a lot of an item but they have at least 5 of an item. So selling out is a possibility. All cashiers are friendly here & I constantly see the store manager walking the store. All depts employees are friendly and chatty with one another, never using rude language. This location is not dirty and I'm particular about that. Sorry for the bathroom issues, but that's going to happen. I personally don't like the produce section because it's pretty darn expensive!$$ no deals there and that doesn't make sense! If they lowered their prices they would have more sales. Here, the prices are matched w/other stores, no deals here at all ever. But in Maryland where I'm from, the Wal-Marts are always lower priced in everything to compete. So in conclusion, I am happy to have a Wal-Mart so close to me. I would NEVER visit this one after dark alone. I run here when I need Blue Bell ice cream and my flowers for the garden, that's about it. Oh! we get our basic car needs done here too. There are several really lovely people working at Walmart, HOWEVER Angie the 'CSM' is not one of them. Her whole demeanor oozes disdain, while she goes through the motion of actually providing the customer service she was promoted to provide and ensure. She languidly searched out two price checks, but didn't have the decency to verbalize any apology or even acknowledgement, when she wordlessly handed me a sale paper, and turned to talk to a cashier. I had about 125 dollars worth of items in my cart. The loss of the hour of my life was well worth walking out, and going straight over to Target. I also gave the 10 dollars that I should have saved, to a customer behind me. She smiled, and said that she would give it to her church. The item in particular that Angie refused the special for, WAS NOT EVEN IN THE FLYER SHE HANDED ME. Whatever chip on her shoulder makes her play out her issues in this manner was not cornered on the market. Get over it. i actually like this walmart compared to others closer to dc , good selection prices are very fair and since i was able to pick up alot of stuff on clearance in the outdoors section im very pleased , as with the typical walmart its understaffed and theres always long lines but that would be my only complaint about this store , other than that its well layed out easier to navigate so ill say this is one of the better ones , if they would hire more cashiers or hell even the robots where you can check yourself out id give it a full 5 , besides walmart always provides free entertainment while shopping and that alone makes it worth visiting read more

Pros- The new SuperCenter is beautiful and the store is very clean...... Cons, Management!!! I had to get help from the main store manager. I wish I had gotten his name, but he was a tall black guy. I had ordered a camera on-line after black Friday since they were sold out in the store. I received it broken and returned it to the store to exchange it. First I was told I couldn't return it because it was purchased over a year ago.. WTH??? I purchased it 5 days ago. They had some sort of glitch with the system, which is why they brought over the RUDE manager. He proceeded to tell me that he didn't believe that I had purchased the camera on-line because it had a store sticker on it. NOT my fault that http://Walmart.com shipped me some crap camera that was obviously previously returned at some point. I have no idea why it would have a store sticker, but I was there with the receipt and the on-line order on the computer screen so not sure why he wouldn't think I had ordered it on-line. read more
