This review concerns the pharmacy. I went to this Wal-mart because the techs at my home store, Leesburg, are rude, unprofessional, liars, lazy, and uncaring. I was hoping to find better at another store, hoping my home Wal-mart was the exception, not the rule. I took in 2 bottles of the same prescription and asked if they could be combined so I'd have a 90-day supply, important as I knew that script to be covered under their 4.00/30 days; 10.00/90 days discount plan. This was on a Saturday; and the man at the Consult desk said to come back the next day, Sunday. I was surprised to hear they had Sunday hours, but ok. I came back the next day and was told - by the same Hispanic man in the Consult window, that no, I couldn't have all my refills combined into one, as the doctor hadn't written it out that way. I don't see why that should matter, as how many you get at one time is controlled by insurance, not your doctor. Under the discount plan that shouldn't matter, either, as that's not insurance. Plus, that's not what he said the previous day. No apology for his mistake; no explanation as to why he told me differently the day before. Then he said the prescription wasn't on the discount list, and tried to use the excuse that it changes every day. At this point I saw red and asked for the Pharmacy Manager. She confrmed that no, they couldn't combine the 3 refills into one; and that one of the pharmacies weren't open for them to call to verify the prescription anyway. She actually said to the man (in response to his assertion that the script wasn't on the discount list) "What are you talking about?" Turns out he somehow thought the script was for a capsule formation, rather than the tablet version, which WAS on the list. I have no idea where he got that idea - both bottles were clearly labelled as tablet form. And again, if there was no problem the previous day, there should have been no problem a day later. No apology for this mistake, either. By this time I just wanted to get the heck out of there, as what should have been a quick 5-minute pickup turned into a 30+ minute ordeal. Now they've called me to say that the pharmacy which was closed on Sunday - Costco - said the prescription had been transferred to Rite-Aid, which is the one I picked up. So now I have to call at least those two pharmacies to verify whether that's true or not, because Wal-Mart pharmacy doens't seem to know their heads from holes in the ground! I have one more prescription there - which has also proved difficult to pick up as they say the doctor didn't write down an iCD code to fill it under with insurance - so that will be its own separate battle. I can't wait to be done with this place; and i'm not going to another Wal-Mart pharmacy again. No amount of saving money is worth this hassle - and I'm saying that from a perspective of shortly not having prescription insurance due to the Donut Hole in my Medicare Part D plan. read more

The WORST customer service you will ever receive. I hated my experience so much that I decided to write their corporate office. I waited over 40 minutes in the paint department for service. I had to yell at a manager who was just watching a group of us standing there!!! Then I finally got service and it turned out that the man never sealed the can properly. The paint spilled all over my trunk, my driveway, my new leather jacket, my favorite pair of jeans. And more items. I call the next day to tell them what happened and I go through 4 morons before getting the SAME manager that gave me nothing but a nasty attitude. So I drive down their to take photos for their insurance. You think anyone ever called me? NOPE! You think anyone ever even said "hey can we offer you a gift card to at least replace some of your items?" NOPE. Now my family spends thousands there a month. Not anymore. I will NEVER shop at a WALMART again. NEVER. read more

This place has a bunch of dumb workers that just make you want to punch them in the face, this place mostly has nothing cool to buy, i recommend you not to ask any questions to the workers because there just going to get on your nerves, this place is overall decent. read more

This trip to Walmart was a soul-robbing quest to buy school supplies. This Walmart did a horrible job of displaying their school supplies. The aisles were too cramped to push your cart through. Then none of the supplies were organized in a way that made them easy to find. Glue sticks and crayons were scattered through 3 or 4 different sections. I parked my cart in a section near the school supplies so I could go in on foot to find my stuff. When I return, 2 minutes later, my cart is gone! The clerk had already took all my stuff back to restock! Then when I was checking out, the clerk tried to double charge me for a fancy $10 pencil box that my daughter wanted! Screw you Walmart! There is nothing much good I can say about this store as well as most Wal-Mart stores. Quality of goods is inferior but you get what you pay for. Some grocery items are priced better than most markets. The cashiers I believe are trained to be as slow as molasses and some of them are as dumb as dirt. For example, I had a coupon that gave money off for any purchase up to 200 dollars. The purchase I made was for about 25 dollars. The cashier did not want to honor the coupon since my purchase was under 200 dollars. It took some explaining before the cashier understood what the coupon meant. Needless to say, if you are by nature masochistic this is the store to shop at. read more

I would give it zero stars if I could. Why in the world do you have so many scan and go counters and one measly checkstand open no matter the time of day. If I wanted to work at Walmart, I would get a job there. You are going to lose your older shoppers as everyone I have spoken with hates the scan and go as much as I do. Walmart is fooling themselves if they think they are not losing money through mistakes while scanning and outright theft. Only get a one star bc I can't rate it lower. The people in the auto center have the lowest IQ of vehicles I've ever seen. I knew right when I walked in this crew full of misfits were not educated on general motor knowledge. Changing oil is the easiest thing a vehicle owner can do, I travel for work so I can't bring my garage with me. These IDIOTS overfilled my oil tank by 2 QUARTS. Anyone who knows about that it will cause permanent engine damage. This was the only Walmart with an Auto Center within a 40 mile radius. Do not go here to get your oil changed. They didn't take my gasket off my van and when the oil filter was changed it ended up with two gaskets. I ended up on the side of 28 with my van smoking, fire truck, sheriff and no oil in my car. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. This recent shopping trip, I was looking for three specific items and some other household staples. I asked three different employees for the three items and none of them knew where anything was and didn't offer to help find. When I told them I looked and didn't see, they just shrugged and ignored me. Wooden clothes pins, wreath forms, and craft paint were nowhere to be found in the store. I searched the entire perimeter and aisles of the store. I left the store with unpurchased items in my cart that probably totaled $50 minimum because I was so upset. I will never go back to this store and will drive 20 miles out of my way for the next closest store. Also the aisles are very narrow with junk items for sale. Myself and two kids under 4 years in our cart were almost in multiple collisions with shoppers and store items. read more

I never made it to this super center Walmart ! I need to replaced 4 tires, called to get information, but nobody answered the phone after several repeated call, finally a female voice answered the phone, she can not help me so politely said she will page the Manager , after 20 minutes, she instructed me to call back in 15 minutes, told me "nobody in the tire department, they are all outside". So I waited and made another call, the phone ring and ring for 30 minutes nobody pick up, I finally gave up! No star for the tire department in Sterling Dulles Crossing, Va. read more

Shout out to the sales associate who told me ear plugs were sold out. And an even bigger shout out to the "customer services representative " who told me check in the pharmacy. I said do you know exactly where in the pharmacy because I looked around and didnt see them..Her reply..I dont know, just look in the pharmacy! Who hasn't had a bad experience here? Parking is a nightmare. You're lucky to pull away without 6 new dings in your car door from rude people or shopping carts. Store is always a mess and feels dirty. To make matters worse, they are now renovating the store to be a Super Walmart, so expect construction headaches and fewer parking spaces, unless you park over at Sam's Club (next door) and walk 1/4 mile to Walmart. Not my favorite place to visit. With two Targets in the area, I almost never go to Walmart. read more

Prior to the pandemic this store was always under stocked. The Chantilly store, which is much smaller is always stocked. Even throughout the pandemic there were more items at this location and employees were nice. The employees at Sterling act as if the customers are always in the way. Never friendly. I was at the meat counter. A man with a cart of meat literally ran into to my shopping cart and hit my arm full force, leaving it bruised. He apologized and totally negated that apology with "but your cart was in the way". Another time we had checked on line to see if a printer we wanted was in stock. The website said there were three of them. We went to purchase them. They could not be found. The person we asked said there were none. We walked to the adjacent isle and there were three waiting to be put on the shelves. The paint aisle is a mess. The spray cans that they have have been opened and tried. Evidenced by the paint that has been sprayed. Same items have been there forever. They said at the pharmacy Bronkaid was on back order. That stores were having a hard time getting it. Funny, Walgreens and CVS always have it. I could go on with this review. The problems at this store are legion! I blame the management. I'll stop now because I'm tired. Worst Walmart ever! read more

Shopped here a few times, parking is always easy unlike the one in tysons. Prices are cheap and service ranges from mediocre to really good.

Just one word, don't go to their restroom unless you absolutely can't hold anymore. Besides that, their undergoing some major renovation and expansion for a Super Wal-Mart. Hope they do better. read more

the apple sales rep at this walmart store who worked on 8/24 afternoon doesn't know what he's doing. he seriously needs a re-training or need some type of realization he's not a walmart merchandise rep. i just wanted to get a nano but saw him wasting time talking none apple related items to one person for more than 20 min. and when i finally asked for help, he brushed me over to whoever was supposed to get the items out of the shelf (who, an invisible walmart rep?) i ended up standing around for what it felt like an hour feeling confused what was going on, as he was taking next customer (to chat for another 30 min?). i left without apple i wanted to purchase because of this ridiculousness. i think he just wanted to ignored me completely. he should be focusing on "selling", not "talking" blah blah's to people trying to educate about the usual apple b.s. protection plan (which that lady he was talking to didn't seem to care anyways) and chatting forever about walmart items "one person at a time" yet not making the actual sales that could have happened with me. for some reason i felt he was purposely ignoring a standing customer (me) looking puzzled as time goes by. to me that shows lack of professionalism. just by standing around watching, wondering if someone would actually help me, i ended up seeing his work performance and it is a huge thumbs down. so what did i ended up going to? a nearby target store. it did not take more than 5 min to BUY nano from them. this was a clean, to-the-point experience and i now prefer target because walmart is, after all, proving its truly low class. oh by the way, folks. both target and walmart apple prices are the same. apple store sells it for 149. target sells145 for nano. please don't bother going to walmart unless you want to end up with my experience. trust me, this writing reviews on yelp, calling walmart manager with this concern, writing to apple customer service about this person are not something i usually do as a hobby. read more

It's a Walmart, and very busy location which seems at any given time we try to make a stop. It's a size able store and decently organized and staffed like other locations. Cramped parking in this state, standard and handicap parking are smaller than other states, so be careful. read more

I haven't been to Walmart and a couple of months and decided to go a couple days ago. Upon getting out of my car I noticed how filthy the parking lot was. There was trash and what looked to be gum/spit/candy/rotten bits of food all over the asphalt. As I entered the store I noticed that the store wasn't any cleaner. There were spills on the floor that had turned black from people walking through them. I have never seen a store this filthy in my life. Management really needs to take control of this store and start with a thorough cleaning. I can see why so many people go to target and pay a slightly higher price. The Target stores in Sterling are very clean. Not that I need a job, but Walmart if you're hiring I'll come in there and square that place away 48 hours! read more

I visited this Walmart for some sanitary pads. As I walked in, there was security following me. As a proud white, I was very taken aback. They continued to follow me throughout the store. This is, without a doubt in my mind, quite possibly the worst Wal-mart on the planet. It was bad before the remodel now I think it's worse than ever. The bad: Customer Service Associates go out of their way to avoid making eye contact with you. I once stood waiting at the photo counter for about 15 minutes while the person there talked on the phone, sorted photos, and did pretty much everything he possibly could before acting annoyed and put out that he had to wait on me. Then, he couldn't find my pictures - which I dropped off a week ago! Their site to store "service" is a joke. I've ordered a couple of pretty simple items on two different occasions thinking it'd be easy to pick them up on the way home. Both times, I get the confirmation email stating my items are ready to pick up. When I show up, the person at the site to store counter A.) either doesn't know how the process works and fumbles through trying to figure out what it is they're supposed to do B.) hasn't been trained on the process and C.) ultimately can't find the order and claim it isn't in or hasn't been picked/delivered. On the second occassion I used this "service" the associate claimed the item wasn't in stock on the shelf after making me wait 20 minutes. I walked back to the shelf and found 20 of the item I'd asked for quick pick up sitting there plain as day on the shelf. Parking lot ...is a freaking night mare and I would rather have my wisdom teeth put back in and then pulled out without anesthetic before having to deal with this terribly designed "parking area." Between the scores and scores of people driving in and out of this place and the weird stop sign placement, actually leaving Wal-mart is a feat of strength. Seriously! I've seen multiple almost-wrecks happen over the years because of long lines backed up at the stop sign by the Lowes. Long lines With out fail, every time I come into this store, the lines are astronomically long and are backed up into the adjoining clothing department. The good: Prices are low. The remodeled store looks nicer and is better lit. And that's about all I can say about this place. Bottom line: I avoid this place like the plague. I'd rather shop at Target and pay higher prices for the convenience of better trained, polite employees in a store that is staffed properly to accomedate the flow of customers. read more

If you know your way around the store then you are Ok. Most of the employees couln't tell you where any one particular item you are looking for. I went there and asked someone where the coco butter was, she looked at me and just pointed to someone else and noded her head as to say go ask them. I LOVE Wal-Mart and wish they could afford the square footage of the metro New York area. The store lighting is bright and it feels like you can find everything you need as you cruise and browse through the aisles. This review is only for the tire and lube express. I received excellent customer service and was out the door in 40minutes. The mechanic knew i was in a hurry and volunteered to postpone his lunch break to install 3 new tires on my car and get me out the door faster. The staff was courteous and truly went out of their way to provide me with good service. read more

Spending 2.5 hours waiting for having two new tires put on my car should count as a pretty miserable experience but it wasn't. I was told a roughly accurate wait time by a very helpful associate. I found everything I needed for a baking recipe with the help of another associate. Then in the waiting area there was coffee and a big screen playing Nanny McPhee. At the end of the movie Nanny McPhee magically makes it snow in August and shortly thereafter I left Wal-Mart in the first snow of the winter. Not a bad experience at all. read more

The level of incompetence at the customer service desk is astounding. Making the simplest return takes 20 minutes or more. The csrs get distracted, ignore customers, and generally take unreasonably long times to finish the returns. They are not particularly polite either. Basically be sure what you are buying because if you have to return it you may as well put your sanity on the return table as well. read more

I wish I didn't have to give this any stars, but the computer is making me do it. :( HORRIBLE - HORRIBLE - HORRIBLE...did I mention...HORRIBLE??? If ONLY the produce in this store looked even remotely like the ads on TV or if the shelves had product on them and don't even get me started on mis-matched price tags. I go every week and for the past 4 weeks, the BIG sign above the milk says: $3.58 -- yet for the past 4 weeks, my gallon of milk has cost $3.88. Can you say "deceptive and misleading pricing?" Oh -- and the best one is the "Roll Back" pricing. I've shopped here for years and believe me -- I know what I pay for just about every item on my list and there is NO WAY that something that has been "rolled" back to $1.98 a pound, was EVER $2.98 a pound -- maybe in 1977, but certainly not in the past 15 months. How do these people get away with this? Time to check out -- easy, right? WRONG! I've had frozen pies and ice cream melt as I'm waiting in line to check out. 3 registeres open -- 2 of which are the "quickie" lines and I'm the 4th customer in the one lane that is taking large checkouts which means I'm in for at least a 20 minute wait. In this age of technology, why arent' the cashiers able to call a manager for help? There is virtually no way to get a manager with a key to come help a cashier, unless you're lucky enough, to have 1 walk by the front registeres. Otherwise, you're standing there -- as the line behind you gets longer -- with all the cashiers having a blank stare - just waiting for the 1 manager to saunter on by. I literally had to go to the service desk myself a couple of weeks ago and tell the manager, people needed help. Why are they carrying around radios, if noone can talk to them on it?? Unfortunately, Walmart has the best prices and my food budget goes much further, but my last nerve is about to break and I'm seriously considering Shoppers Food Warehouse -- I know I can find everything on my list there and they're prices aren't as good Walmart, but not as bad as Giant and/or Safeway. read more
