THIS IS THE BEST WALMART I BEEN TO IN MY LIFE. I went opening day and had the BEST experience ever, I came again and had an amazing experience again. The employees here are amazing and always ask sweetly if you need help! The ONLY Wal-mart you will ever catch me in! Very clean, quick and convenient with the garage parking. You can definitely run in and out of this location with minimal hick-ups that typical Wal-mart visits bring. The produce is actually okay at this location as well and overall pricing is great as well. My go to spot for H2o PRIMO refills!!! read more

My husband and I checked out the new Walmart in Tysons--it's like half a mile past the mall, near the car dealerships. Other than the horrible Tysons traffic due to Silver Line construction, I was pretty pleased with our visit. We parked right in front, but there is also a huge parking garage available. This Walmart didn't make me feel depressed, like most Walmarts do. There were a bunch of self check-out lanes and we were able to get in and out quickly. It is within walking distance to the new metro stop--so whenever that opens it will be super convenient to get to by train. Hopefully at that time traffic will be less of a nightmare as well.... read more

I was stuck around the McLean/Tyson's Corner area for work training and this was pretty much the closest Walmart to my hotel. The selection here is FAR inferior to that of other Walmarts in the area and I actually couldn't find what I was looking for here. I probably shop about four different Walmarts regularly. And have at times checked out maybe about another four or five other ones on top of those regular four when in search of something. I try not to go to this one that much anymore because location is inconvenient and far from me. So question if any cost savings is worth the hassle in going here. But out of the four that I normally shop between this one has by far the best customer service. Where the people here generally have great attitudes and are always helpful. ie when I'm asking if they have something in stock, asking to get something out of the display, enthusiastically offering to look up to see if the website offers better prices for price matching purposes without being asked, and general interaction during checkout. I think this Walmart also tends to have more clearance/rollback and other items that are hard to find at other Walmarts. Not sure if it's because this one has less traffic or something. Keep in mind that I tend to only go here either late at night or early in the morning. So am not sure how things are during the day and normal business hours. Anyways this review comes about after spending an hour each at two different Walmarts(neither was the Walmart that this review is for) trying to get a refund/price adjustment of seven dollars for a recent purchase and I had the original receipt in hand. I already knew that I was going to have issues before going in, Walmart being Walmart, and almost considered just forgetting about that extra seven dollar cost. Those Walmarts might have a handful of helpful and nice employees that I run into from time to time. But the experience in trying to get a refund made me appreciate this Walmart at Cornerside Blvd more and made me wish I just came here instead. I still need to check my transactions after they post to make sure that I didn't charged multiple times in trying to get a refund from the other Walmart. (again not this Walmart on Cornerside Blvd) So the reason not giving five stars is from the bad experiences at the other Walmarts. And I'm pretty close to swearing off Walmarts all together from now on. But the experiences at those Walmarts make me appreciate this one more. Was actually shocked to see a Walmart open in this area. Let's be frank, this area seems too high class to have a Walmart lol. This area makes an average Joe like me intimidating. This store is quite dark & damp compared to other WMs & they have no ceiling. Same as most WMs, many empty holes/many out of stocks. Idk anything about their parking policies but I don't pay for parking & garages terrify me so I was lucky enough to find a spot on the street near a residential area I believe. What made me hella mad was I went to use the ladies room & NONE of the stalls had toilet paper! !!! I have knee arthritis & an associate was in the handicapped stall listening to music likely pussy footing around instead of working! Thank God for strong bladder muscles that I noticed in time & grabbed some paper towels lol. Staff eager to help and assist you through check out lines in a speedy manor. Store is well maintained and appears new. Aisles are well organized (which trust me, not every Walmart can say the same!) I got the feeling that I was over paying for some grocery items this visit, might consider sticking to your local grocery store for that. Today the produce wasn't very fresh, hoping I just caught them at a bad hour. Parking is available outside in a lot (cramped and a pedestrian nightmare, especially one with a cart). So I highly suggest parking upstairs in the parking garage. They have an escalator just for your cart, so you can bring all your bags to your car easily, and plenty of cart return areas within their well-lit garage. read more

I was staying at the Sheraton across the street so I decided to go over to this Walmart and pickup a few things. I was greeted by an employee and continued walking through the store looking for the sporting section. After a few mins on the fishing aisle, an employee began standing at the end of the aisle. He didn't say anything to me, so I continued looking through the fishing accessories. The employee turned his back to me and began leaning on the shelves in from of him. I found it odd that he was just standing there. I looked up again and he was watching me over his shoulder with his front facing cellphone camera. I was creeped out so I grabbed what I needed and was headed towards the cashier. While headed towards the cashier I noticed the Halloween aisle and decided to check it out. After about a min on the Halloween aisle, another Walmart employee showed up. At first I didn't think anything about it, but then I ventured onto the next aisle... the Walmart employee followed me to the aisle and pretended to be organizing things that didn't not need organizing. At that point I realized that I was being watched and followed by these two Walmart employees. I wanted to make sure I wasn't being paranoid so I walked to a completely unrelated aisle and just stood there. I wasn't looking at anything. I just stood in the middle of the aisle waiting for the Walmart employee to show. THE EMPLOYEE FOLLOWED ME TO THAT AISLE AS WELL!! I WAS BEING PROFILED!! I was a black woman wearing a Washington Capitals hat. Either I was being profiled and discriminated against because of my choice of hockey teams or I was being profiled and discussing against because I was black. I believe it was the latter. I honestly can not believe the racist actions of the Walmart employees at this location. Once I got to the cashier, she said nothing to me and walked away. When she finally returned, she mumbled something to me and asked for my ID. I gave it to her and assumed it was for the fishing knife I wanted to purchase. Who knows at this point based on how I've been followed the entire time in the store. This Walmart is horrible. The customer service is horrible. The options within the store are horrible. I'll never shop here again. This is the first time I've ever experienced blatant racism. I will never return and tell everyone I know never to go there. read more

Just drove from Fairfax to Tyson's because I was told they would have a specific produce I was looking for. Then when I get there A young man in the electronics department told me they don't have it and even refused to search it when I provided the UPC number. Horrible service. Went the last two out of 3 Sarurdays to do quick shopping trip (weekly groceries, about 45 mins). Customers were polite & respectful & kept distance, most of the time. (I have cane & use n95 mask/have RA). Every employee had a mask on (Good). Every customer had a mask on (Good). Employees offered to help many times but i kind of waved away so they wouldn't get closer than 6 feet; but they were attentive to help those with special needs. They have arrows on the rows to follow (Good). They were religiously wiping carts before putting them back after usage (well trained). Greeters are counting ppl & checking for masks, and smiling while doing it. Manager saw my cane and got me to an open line quickly. Cashierists are very busy so perk them up. All & all two very good experiences (i've gone shopping only 3x in 5 months). Just one employee without gloves kept "fixing" a pile of fruit by touching all the peaches! So have to give 4 instead of 5 but this place is now even open 24 hours to help covid crisis so 4.5 stars. Don't know how to make 4.5 stars. Better mgmt than the past i bet. read more

Came in today to purchase an iPhone 11 Max pro and Wyatt had me waiting for over an hour (was not busy. Not only did I wait over an hour, I told him that I have a pre paid phone with AT&T and he said that's fine I can still buy the phone. After over an hour of waiting he then tells me that the iPhones that they have are for contracts only and not prepaid. This is the most annoying Walmart ever. The parking was tight and the layout was weird. You need to pay if you plan to park for more than 2hr (not sure who would). I usually prefer Target over Walmart but needed to come here to use a gift card. The store is tiny when compared to other locations, you have to watch out for other people and their carts. We almost got hit several times. They sell a little bit of everything but didn't have a lot of the items we were looking for. The lines were long, the cashiers were rude, clueless and slow. Go somewhere else, you might pay a few pennies more but save you time and headache. read more

I went shopping today at this location and it was a disaster. Customers were not wearing masks or socially distancing. Where is the staff to enforce social distancing? Very reluctant to visit again as it appears management is not on top of enforcing Virginia recommended guidelines. Place was packed. I stopped here this weekend for groceries because I had two gift cards and was in the area. I had a difficult time finding a carton of eggs that didn't contain at least one cracked egg and there were several bags of vegetables/fruit that had one or more moldy pieces. I used the self-checkout and when I scanned a piece of fruit (it had a bar code) one of the staff came over and scolded me for not knowing that for produce one has to key in the item number. The entire time I was checking out, three staff members stood around b*tching about their schedules and the fact that someone had to stay in the self-checkout area. All in all it wasn't a pleasant shopping experience. I'll probably be back because it is the closest Walmart and I still have over $50 in gift cards but if I didn't have the gift cards I wouldn't return. read more

Worst customer service ever! I went to print some pictures, machine run out of paper, first person walking by with a Walmart vest I asked for help, she said it's not her department. Talked to "electronic" service and the guy said he can't take care of it right now... He turns off the machine and said its cancelled, how do I know if it's really cancelled? This a nice store I love,I do not understand but people say its a small store I've seen smaller Walmarts, this store to me is big and have everything that I need also I do not have a car, its right on the Metro Subway Silver Line, I like it cause its right across the street from the subway it cannot get more convenient than that, I go there get my stuff get back on the train and am home in about 1 hour, I live in Wasington D.C., it also has a very nice Grocery Store, where else can you go and get a dozen of eggs for $.88 cents, the grocery store is hands down you cannot beat the prices, they have Safeway, Giant,Harris Teeter beat you can spend a $150.00 dollars and come home with at least 15 bags of groceries now who can beat that, I love this store, I go there about every three months and do my Bulk shopping. read more

A brand new Walmart about a block from the brand new Spring Hill Metro stop? Giddy-up. It's also right next to the Sheraton. I'm a fan of convenience and this store is pretty much getting 4 stars just because I was able to walk there and not get ripped off at a CVS or Walgreens. Additional bonus of this Walmart: same strip mall as multiple restaurants AND there's an awning so unless it's really storming you can walk the length of the shopping center and not get wet. read more

while standing in line, i was behind a girl getting ready to pay. the cashier first asked if she would like to save $25/35 on the purchase, she replied how. Cashier said sign up for a walmart CC will get you the discount, and she politely declined. He repeatedly told her to take the offer and wouldn't let her swipe her card. After few mins of her declining and i politely told him that she doesn't want the CC can you just let her pay. The cashier went crazy and told me to shut up and mind my own business. He asked if i am a lawyer/husband, because if not i have no rights to talk. He started staring at me the whole time , refused to service me and told me to go to another lane. I had to get a manager to come and solved this whole mess. never saw an employee forced someone to apply for a credit card like he did when she clearly declined like 5 times. read more

Eh. I was super excited when it opened but not so much. They have half of what you need cuz they don't stock everything, no vegan "dairy" brands like Toffuti, produce is alright. They do have a surprisingly good $3.98 Malbec and this is from someone who will drop $50 no problem. Parking? Whatever. Garage which you have to drive up and then go down an escalator. Couple "45 minute" slots out front, and a lot that you now have to pay for even though it is COMPLETELY EMPTY on weekends. For the last two options, know that the shopping carts don't go far from the door which is a real dick move Walmart. Open the lot on the weekend...quit with the stupid locked wheels on the carts...just because you built a parking deck doesn't mean it's needed...maybe during the week. read more

Some may argue this is a welcome sight in Tyson's area especially if within walking distance. However, as you can see, vast majority feel this never should have opened. Parking was terrible from day one but now it is impossible. IMPOSSIBLE! And how is this a "super center"? Customer service sucks! 90% of them can't even speak English. If Walmart is what you need, there are other Walmarts with huge parking lots within 20 minutes drive from this location! Go there instead! Avoid this nightmare & irritation inducing location.
