I see this Walmart has a lot of bad reviews but I think I may have been blessed because of timing. I came in at eight o'clock in the morning, so it wasn't very full, and everything was well stocked. They had people in there stocking shelves. So this is a really good time to come to Walmart. They had everything I needed. Martin helped me with all the stuff I needed to get everything going electronically. Then I went and looked a little bit at furniture. I didn't come to look at furniture, but I saw a lot in that area. And the prices are obviously good. This Walmart has things like the protein bars, stuff like that. There were people is the isles packing the shevles and nobody in line. Overall, good trip. I got everything I needed. Since I'm going to come back down this way, this was not very far away and a very convenient location, and everybody was kind. I guess I will make sure I come in the morning. read more

I needed a battery today so I went to Walmart because they have good prices. That dept. closed at 7pm. Thank you to the worker that was gracious enough to stop and answer my questions regarding their hours. I then proceeded to the paint department to get some spackle. Once I got to the register the cashier had no customer service skills. She gave no greeting. She didn't tell me the total. She never said a word. I know that people are people and sometimes you may be going thru things but it is still important to give good customer service. That is one aspect of your work responsibilities. Hopefully, management will see this review and just remind the staff the importance of good customer service. Unfortunately, this is the closest and biggest Walmart near me. Parking lot is always a mess as well. Carts everywhere in spaces and trash in every row. Products are fine, the workers/customer service will never improve. We waited about 30 minutes for someone to come and open the locked up areas. After constantly pushing the button for a worker, we were about to leave until we saw a worker and asked for them to open for us. The employees need training or something for them to acknowledge customers. They look at you like you got bed hair and almost never want to help. At self checkout, only 2 out of the 6 machines were working. There was a line as well, so it took a while. The machines only take card, and 99% of the time it doesn't read my tap. I honestly dread coming back because Walmart has products no where else does. Only reason being products are locked up behind gates and NEED a employee to open them. read more

Horrible experience. The store was a mess, and something as simple as buying deodorant turned into a huge hassle. I spent about 15 minutes trying to find someone who could unlock the case. One employee said he didn't have a key and was basically hiding in the corner, and another employee finally came over only to say his key wasn't working. Then, when I tried to check out, Walmart Pay repeatedly declined, and since Walmart doesn't accept tap-to-pay, that created another unnecessary headache. The entire experience was frustrating from start to finish. Poorly organized store, difficult to get help, and an unnecessarily inconvenient checkout process. So many personal care items locked up - you press the button for assistance and then it takes At Minimum, 15 minutes for them to help you. Theyll pass by you, make eye contact, wont say anything until you speak first and ask for help - then theyll say they're helping someone else. Majority of the workers seem miserable. The good: This Walmart is massive! In their garden center, they had giant outdoor 11 x 8' rugs for $20 on clearance! I got my Christmas tree here for an affordable price as well as food items that I haven't seen elsewhere (like princess string cheese). They had super cute kids bikes here that had seats for kids to put and buckle their dolls. Their holiday section is great! Their hours are great (6AM-11PM). My mom got lots of kids' clothes from here for great prices. I like this place better than the other Walmart in Torrance since it is bigger (rather than having a separate Walmart Neighborhood market). The bad: Their garden center mostly had bikes and Christmas stuff rather than plants. The interesting: They have an auto-care center as well. read more

I come here for everything; toiletries, household items, car items, clothes, food, money order, and returns. They are pretty quick with stocking items but quickly remove them for the next holiday. I did find some Wicked merchandise, just 3 items. When I asked an employee, she showed me a rack that had nothing but S and XS. She said "that's it." Luckily I didn't believe her and I looked through several other racks. Wicked Items were mixed with Christmas items, Snoopy, Grinch, etc. I was lucky to find something - hooray. I purchased a mattress through Walmart Marketplace that was advertised with a 10-year warranty. After approximately two years, the mattress developed a significant defect. I contacted the seller, the manufacturer, and Walmart customer service multiple times seeking assistance. While Walmart representatives were courteous, the platform ultimately provided very limited support once the dispute involved a third-party seller. The seller stated that it could not identify the product, and the manufacturer stated that it could not process the warranty claim without additional product information. As a result, despite having proof of purchase and documentation of the defect, I was unable to obtain warranty service for a product sold with a 10-year warranty. My concern is that consumers rely on Walmart Marketplace as a trusted platform. When products with long-term warranties are sold through the platform, there should be a practical way for customers to obtain warranty support when problems arise. Bad review is for Walmart tire center and the Auto center in general: First bad experience involved a Latino cashier (Walmart Associate in the Auto Center department) with a name tag that read "SHAUN." His race/ethnicity is revealed for identity purposes. When I arrived in Auto Center, no one was behind checkout station. Funny part is I pressed the button on the credit/debit card machine that said "press here for assistance." Yet it took 2 presses and about 12 minutes for someone to come out, despite the tons of Walmart employees roaming that whole Auto Center checkout section. Not just order pickers. Folks who worked in Auto Center. I was saying to myself: "If I were a criminal and I walked out Auto Center exit with a cheap candy bar, I guarantee that I would've been tackled immediately by no less than ten Walmart employees in that section. Yet no one could see me waiting on associate?" I came in to purchase a battery that was clearly priced on the website for $139. I even scanned the barcode. It showed the same price. Yet it had a different price of $144 for in store. Ive had this issue at other Walmarts. They honored online price after taking my word or checking their Walmart app. Also, if you check Walmart price match policies, it clearly says: "For items purchased in a Walmart U.S. store, we will match the price of the identical item advertised on Walmart.com." It also says: "The customer must inform the Walmart associate of the price at the time of checkout. The identical item (i.e., size, model, quantity, brand, or color, etc.) must be currently in-stock and available to purchase on Walmart.com at the time the Price Match is requested. I adhered to those policies. However, this "SHAUN" guy gave me a hard time and said "We don't do that. You have to order it online." Which is the most ignorant crap he could've said. I didn't argue with him. I just bought the battery for his price. I couldn't wait to leave this negative review. This guy lied, just to prevent me from paying merely $5 less . Also, my core was right next to the new battery. The "SHAUN" guy asked me if I wanted to leave the core here. I said to my self, "this guy thinks that I just carried this 46 lb battery in this store just to take it back?" At any rate, a lightning bulb in his brain lit up and I got my $15 core charge deducted from total. Paid for battery and left. The "SHAUN" guy never said thanks or anything else that normal Walmart associates would say after completing a successful transaction. That was Today. That sealed the deal for a 1 star review. I swear. Previously, I ordered 4 tires for my moms on Walmart's website. Had them shipped to this Walmart tire center. When I placed order, I also scheduled their installation service. Tires were prepaid. Install service was to be paid upon receipt. Appointment was scheduled. 2 hours before appointment, this Walmart tire location canceled installation and changed order to pick up. Reason listed is they didn't have tires available. Order status changed to "delayed." A day later, a Walmart website email confirmed pick up availability. I called Walmart tire center. They rarely answer the phone. So I had to call them on 5 different occasions on the same day to get someone to answer. A person answer and scheduled an appointment for next week. Which was 3 days before tire order would've been canceled due to non pick up. I agreed. Went to scheduled appointment. They claimed they can only find 3 tires. After waiting 30-35 minutes passed appointment time, they came out and told me that the 4th tire is still in transit. They told me to come back in a few days, which would've been passed the order pick up date. I explained that info to their representative. They told me to come back a day before pick up date. But couldn't confirm that the 4th tire would be in stock. They didn't even have the ability to track the 4th tire. That same day, I left and got some brand new tires from a small tire shop down the street. Like most say, if you order tires from Walmart's website, have them shipped to your house or a friend's. Then take them to a tire shop and have them mounted/balanced/installed. My Walmart website order was canceled as I never went back to pick up tires. read more

On May 4 th I purchased a car battery. And went to pick up the battery. I was made to wait for a hour because no one was at the automotive area. Finally someone came and I told him I don't want this battery. He said he would cancel the order and Walmart would refund me my money. Well I got my credit card bill and Walmart charge was still on my bill. I called and chatted with Walmart ai and I was advised to start a refund. I kept telling the ai I never took possession of the battery. On the refunds link it said I can write a description that I didn't take possession of the battery. I did what Walmart said to do. I can't get in touch with a person. I will never shop at Walmart. You all shouldn't shop there either. Don't waist your time and patience. Shop at Costco. I will never go back to Walmart. read more

3 employees hanging out behind the electronics counter. I ask one where I can find blank CDs, he shows me the case but says he will come right back, never comes back. I ask another lady if she can help me, she says she can open the case but can't ring me up because she doesn't work in that department. She tells the 3rd employee to help me and leaves, but the third employee says she can't ring me up because she doesn't have codes to work the register and that I need to wait for someone who can work the register, she also takes the CDs and case so I can't try to buy them in the front, she also doesn't call anyone to help me. A 4th employee shows up from break 10 mins later and finally is able to get the cds from the 3rd employee and ring me up. 20 minutes total just waiting to buy something while 4 total employees who have no idea what they're doing figure out how to help a customer. Probably one of the most worst experiences of my life. Actually, not probably. It is one of the worst experiences. I don't blame it on the workers as much as I blame it on the management and facilities. There is a lack of urgency on the service side, as well as lack of clarity. I received several reminders of my appointment for today. I purchased my tires in advance, which then were shipped to the location of my appointment. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment and parked my car. I entered into the auto center and waited to speak with the service counter. After waiting approximately 10 minutes for him to get through the customer in front of me, he let me know that all I needed to do was pull up to the bay and wait for someone to come to my car. A little frustrated. However, I get into my car and pull up to the bay, to only wait for another 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge me. This, of course, is after I flagged someone down to help me. It has nearly been over two hours later, and I am still waiting for my car to get four tires replaced. During this time, I was able to shop the store, which needs cleaning and attention. Several of the employees are standing around talking to each other rather than helping the customers around them. Even when entering and standing by the customer service desk, the banter between the two employees was incredibly unprofessional. It is sad to say that I do not recommend this place at all? Take advantage of the pick up or delivery service but I do not recommend anyone going inside or the tire service, considering how slow it is. read more

It's just hard for them to keep it organized when people put items randomly in the store instead of where they originally grabbed it. Another drawback is the lack of open registers. If it wasn't for the lady who helped us, I believe her name is Chisa, they would be getting 1 star. I work odd hours and unfortunately they are one of the only stores open a little later. Trying to get help from most of their employees is like pulling teeth. However, this lady always has a smile and kind conversation. I have seen her heading out and see the crowd and immediately open a register with a smile. I can not believe she is not a supervisor. I have met some of them and believe me, customer service is NOT what they excel at. Walk in around 10pm on any night and you will be battling the employees stocking and blocking aisles. Never mind running in to get something quickly. I can not believe they do not wait until store is closed like most places. And by 1015 they are telling you the store is closing in a few minutes, never mind the employees that start yelling stores closed at the top of their lungs around 1040....needless to say I have been in customer service most of my career. You always treat your last guest the same as your 1st. Chisa gets this and can teach the others a thing or two. A smile really goes a long way. If you are in upper management I would take a good long look at your night crew. You have about 5 or 6 in supervisor positions that shouldn't be there. Making money for your store and taking care of your guests goes hand in hand. Read your reviews. They are almost all the same. And get this lady out there training them how to be better people. You'd be surprised that your store doesn't really reflect your customers as much as it does your employees that are running things. read more

This is a criticism of Walmart - both at the corporate level and at the store level. I needed an item. I looked online and found that Walmart had the product I was looking for - and for an acceptable price. I also confirmed that (to the best of the data base's knowledge) the item was in stock, in store. (Another important detail: The Walmart*com website stated that the order, if purchased via online shopping, would be sold and fulfilled by Walmart - not a third party selling on the Walmart marketplace.) When I went to the store, the price on the shelf was different than the price stated online; it was a little higher. I questioned the cashier about this, but they didn't have an explanation, and they didn't offer to do anything about it. I had something similar happen at Target. Do you know what the Target cashier did? Using our respective mobile devices, we verified the price, as listed on Target*com. Once verified, the cashier matched the lower price posted on the Target*com website. Question to corporate management: Why is it prices stated online might not correspond to the prices posted in store, on the shelf? Question to store management: Why are you not empowering your employees to address and resolve this type of discrepancy? read more
