Hey Yelp friends, I'm back! And like a lot of people I have to make a quick Wallmart run from time to time. I've been to this particular store many times before but never wrote about all my horrible experiences. SO, it's time for me to spill the beans! The employees here do not give a single sh*t about anything or anyone. It's easy to see why becuse the management does not either. Here's what happened today. There was a really messed up open box, very dusty and dirty item that someone took home and used but didn't clean up before returning, this item will most likely never sell so I decided to bring it up to the front and ask for a little off the open box price. I was polite and I waited 20 min for a manager to even come speak to me. She was short and rude with me even though I showed her patience and respect as I explained my position. I watched her walk around not really doing anything before she came over, basically stalling me out to wait so she could come show me she was the boss, which makes me giggle. I had a simple question which requires a simple answer, she could have been nice but she chose to be rude. She said "is it marked down? Because that's price" in a condescending tone and then just walks away because she was done with me. Yes it's Wallmart but damn, you'd think "The Manager" would have some sort of professionalism. NOPE, Zero. In closing, I definitely will not spend money here again, amazon wouldn't do this to me. Don't go to this location, the employees here are the worst. P.s. Women be weary, you should not come here alone, there are a slew of disgusting men waiting to harass you, some shoppers, some employees. If you MUST come here, please bring a friend, someone else to make sure you're safe. read more

TREATED LIKE GARBAGE On Thursday was sold the wrong tire at the Santa Ana Walmart. The tire sale was logged into the computer. Too far to go back - 45 miles. The next day I go to the Torrance Walmart (15 miles away) to hopefully do an exchange, or a refund. Waited 15 mins to get in and over 15 mins at Customer Service. Customer Service Manager refused to do an exchange because this wasn't the store that did the sale. I didn't have the particular credit card I used with me so they also refused to give a refund. Although this manager was speaking louder than I was, he accused me of yelling. He was loud, rude and abrupt = I was treated like garbage. I called the Santa Ana Walmart and was on hold freaking forever. I explained the situation to one person snd was put on hold freaking forever waiting for a manager. I explained the situation to the manager who then asked me what do you want us to do for you? WTF! Then she cold transfers me to someone else who knew nothing. This is for the auto center. Cheryl is a terrible manager and provided the worst service ever. I had a tire appointment scheduled online about five days in advance. It wasn't until I had arrived on time for my appointment that they informed me that they actually close at 5pm and wouldn't be able to install the tires. When asked to speak to the manager Cheryl, she had already left for the day when she was fully aware of the situation that was going on because one of the employees tried to help us but she told him that he couldn't. I was offered no alternative for the service I was supposed to receive. They said they had tried to contact me at 1pm the same day of the appointment, but I have proof that they only contacted me once at 4pm, and only asked if I was able to come in earlier (which I couldn't because I live 40mins away) instead of telling me that they wouldn't be able to do my appointment at the scheduled time. read more

This was the worst experience I've ever had in Walmart came to get a oil change waited two hours the first time decided to go back again to get a oil change. I got there at 8 o'clock in the morning I left at 11 with stiill no oil change my car was still sitting in the same spot where I left it with the mechanic, horrible service I would never go back. If you plan to get a oil change from this Walmart, you better make an appointment and even then you need to sit there and wait and not go shop the workers are too busy laughing and playing and not working or they're understaffed which is what they told me the first time never go to this Walmart again at least not for a change the manager I have no direction she don't know what to do or how to have a customer service Thank you, dissatisfied customer read more

This is one of the ugliest Walmarts ever. It's always packed and dirty. It never fails that they have like 2 cashiers and the self checkout line is always long. It's a big Walmart but it feels unsafe in there-at least at night. If I HAVE to go here I'll go early in the morning when it's semi empty. The people that work here looked miserable. read more

The wait in the Money services is atrocious. One person with one customer took over 20 minutes, meanwhile the line is out to the check register area. He called for back up but managers are no where,. He needs autonomy to call for back up and GET it!!!! read more

I know it's the holidays and retail workers are busy trying to handle the rush of customers, but this location seems to have the rudest employees out of all other Walmarts in the area. Help and questions go unanswered plus they look at you as if you're wasting their time. I'm sure they hear all sorts of questions, but the least they could do is smile and have some type of customer and courtesy skills. I hope this is a one time experience at this store but I highly doubt it, so if you happen to stop by, just know that you might encounter some employees that look mad and be ready to be ignored. read more

This is my "go to" Walmart location. It's not that far and it's surrounded by other businesses that I enjoy shopping at as well. It's spacious and it's well stocked. I haven't came here yet and not found what I came for. Another reason I love this location is because of the assistance that we recieve as customers. From the cashiers, to the helpers who carry the keys to the locked up products to those walking around with a portable register. You never have to circle the store too long to recieve assistance. The prices are awesome as well. read more

This place should be shut down. Employees dart down different isles if you even look like you wanna ask a question. Attitudes galore! Got the deodorant on lock up Parking is just great (HANDICAPPED PARKING) I get it that should be toward the front. BUT 40 electric charging stations in front is BS. They should have a section off to there self, not in the parking lot. JMO Employees don't have any product knowledge, but they definitely can pass you on to the next person that knows nothing, and so on. If I do decide to go to WALMART again it won't rain this one. We waited less than 2 minutes I honestly think she would've been out faster had it not been for the 50 pounds of Aquarium Gravel she had to bring out. So I am not a routine Walmart consumer primarily because there is not one conveniently located to me. We needed something that they only had. Check their specific website and they had many in stock...tried To call to double verify...impossible...arrived to find the most unhelpful and blatantly rude 'worker' in the electronics department. End of the story is they did not have it and he walked away...asked him to double check; and he refused and then asked him to call another store to find one; 'not part of my job' and walked away again. To convey the least, I won't be shopping in any fashion at a Walmart in the future...the entire experience (this only scratches the surface) was beyond unacceptable! Walking into Walmart to pick up one item in mind but always leaving with 100. This is what always happens to us. We walked in today to purchase a bike. They have a great selection set up outside of their doors by the parking lot. We looked around to see if what we wanted was available on the outside but unfortunately we didn't find it. We walked into the back of the store where they have an even bigger selection of bikes. There is a large amount of kids bikes also available for purchase. We found one that we thought might be the one. It was reasonably priced at $169. We took it to checkout and there we were offered an extended warranty plan which I didn't think we would really need so we declined. I love Walmart for the return policy and their satisfaction guaranteed policy. This is one of the main reasons I purchase my items here. Also there children clothes are highly discounted and handles the wear and tear well. I can buy sweatpants here for my son for only $4 which is amazing compared to some of the other stores so that's exactly what I did. I stocked up on summer clothes from Walmart that's how I ended up with 100 items at the checkout counter. The cashier was super friendly and made great conversation with us. I will definitely be back as I love Walmart. read more

I ordered a few items from Walmart and the order was incomplete. Just some grocery items, mainly my tuna and sardines. Ordered 9 cans of tuna and 8 cans of sardines. Only received 3 of each. No notification thru text that my delivery would be incomplete. Went to the website and again, no notification that all of my items wouldn't be delivered. SO disappointing. Showed up at 6:30 am, plenty of people already there. But go figure, it's Walmart. Instead of heading to the clothing section first I decided to stop by the cosmetics/hair aisle. The deodorants are all under lock and key. I found an employee and asked if she could open it up so I could get the oh so alluring degree deodorant behind the smeared glass. She told me she didn't have the key. I said thanks and walked off, but was awkward and sucked. Then I walked over to grab a bottle of the charcoal dry shampoo that works wonders, but of course they're all out of it. I go back to the clothing and found a couple pieces of like. I went to try they on there were a billion carts blocking all the fitting rooms and no one there to help open one. Then an employee happened to come over and was thinking I'd finally get a fitting room open. Instead she tells me they don't open the fitting rooms till 9. That doesn't make any sense to me. Where is corporate and why aren't they aware of this shitty location? Sad. read more

Lovely workers at the online pick up area! So so helpful!!! I was picking up an air conditioner and they were amazing!!!

My final visit here; their "security" protocols that make make me wait an extra 15 minutes for product. Following the infamous shootings, management decided to protect the PRODUCTS. Well, you're not getting any more money out of me. read more

They just flat out just dont know, say "no key," or look at you as if you're from out of this world. Instead, we drove to the one off of Hawthorne blvd in Del Amo, so very much more pleasant. This whole store needs to be retrain in customer service, including management. Nobody ever picks up the phone in any department there. It is very easy to answer the phone and say can I place you on hold please for a few minutes. But nobody answers the phone. Not even the main number, the customer service inside the store is also terrible. Everybody needs to be retrained, I am never going to the store again. anybody that says they are going to Walmart in Gardena, I will tell them don't do it because everybody there is ignorant and does not know the meaning of customer service, all departments, when I asked for some help to open the cabinet because I needed something that was locked, the associate asked me, what do you want?. Went to buy an air fryer. Saw the shelf price of 89.99. Went to check out, scanned for $119. Told the attendant & she said that's correct. I explained that the shelf didn't say that. We both went to look. She said the shelf is a mess plus their policy is 3 or more have to be in the spot. I told her there is only 2 & they were both in the spot that said $89.99 & either way there was NO tag on the shelf that said $119. She agreed but said she still couldn't give me that price. Such BS! They are supposed to give you that price it's advertised for on the shelf. But I just left. Didn't want to waste anymore of my time. I'll stick to Amazon. read more

Im not a Walmart person, but every time I come here I feel anxious. People are always bumping into you and no one is ever around for assistance. I went in earlier today to look at the cosmetics section and it was blocked off. The associate said "cosmetics is closed". Lol this is Walmart . Why would their cosmetics section be closed? sounds goofy af to me. I laughed and left. I'm 100% sure they're not allowed to close it off but that's just shows you how lazy people are. I have been coming to this store for years! This is the 1st time I ever left this store in such a heated departure! My husband along with myself and my daughter was shopping tonight per usual. We had just finished our shopping but had to get a few things from the cosmetics department! I had to purchase makeup items and my husband purchased a few Dr. T's bath products for selfcare! As I stood there picking out mascara, I hear the cashier (NIKKI) arguing with my husband as he started placing items for her to ring up on the counter! She begin to telling him she cant ring up more then ten items! He proceeded to explain to her he was only purchasing the items from her department about (8) and I would be purchasing my own items! She again standing there doing nothing (NO OTHER CUSTOMERS) As she stood there patting the side of her head! Said... "LOOK I AM NOT GOING TO ARGUE WITH YOU! I CAN'T RING YOU UP BECAUSE I WILL GET FIRED! YOU NEED TO GO STAND IN THE OTHER LINE! I CAN'T DO IT!" NOW!!!! I have been to this plenty of times and cashiers rung up my merchandise plenty of times! When I may have only picked 1 or two items from the department, with majority being well over 15 item of miscellaneous store items. Just as I have been I other areas! I proceeded to the counter with intentions to defuse the situation explaining there was no sign for ten items or less... and I have never experienced this with any other cashier, I all the years I have patronize this store! At this point, she got heated with me! She went on to aggravate the situation by telling me... "I AM NOT GOING TO ARGUE WITH YOU TODAY! LET ME CALL THE MANAGER! I said please do! So we can both be clarified about this unposted rule! She never called the managers and at this point decided to check me out anyway... while still mumbling under her breath! At this point she has lost track of items and double scanning things! I decided to go to another checker because her customer service was horrible! This is certainly not the way I expected to be treat at Walmart! Really not a great shopping experience! I will not be returning unless it is absolutely a GREAT EMERGENCY! If I could give this Walmart no stars I would. In fact that's exactly what they honestly deserve because even the manager there is rude and mean and just totally unprofessional. So I go to this Walmart to get a number of things. I mean my basket was practically filled all the way to the top. And so after I had just spent over $400 on merchandise at this Walmart, I had to use the restroom terribly. I had to hold it the whole time they were ringing up my stuff because they had just closed. So being considerate of the fact that I'm sure these employees want to go home I held my pee until we were done ringing up all my items and until after I paid. I was trying to hold it until I got home, but that wasn't happening. Bout time they had finished ringing up all my stuff, and then after me paying for it. I couldn't hold it no more! So since the restrooms in the front were out of order I had to go all the way to the back of the store. So as I'm on my way back there to the bathroom, the first employee starts harassing me. She's like "hey hey hey where are you going." As I'm running to the bathroom I yell "To the bathroom!" Then she yells back "We closed so you can't go to the bathroom." I ignore her and continue my run all the way to the back of the store heading to the bathroom. I was determined to pee because I knew I couldn't hold it. And in the back of my mind, I was thinking how I just spent over $400 in this store. So the least they can do is allow me to go to the bathroom without being bombarded with staff every step I take. So once I get back there close to the bathroom, I run into another employee. Yet this employee tries to deliberately stop me from going to the bathroom. First he lied and said that they were cleaning the bathroom at the moment; therefore he said it was closed right now. But that didn't stop me I continued to go back there, and he proceeded to scream at me like I was a child. Saying " What did I just say? I told you it's closed! Then once I get back there to the bathroom, I notice that no one is cleaning it. He was lying all that time; And he just so happened to be the manager. Dog Health & Wellness section had me waiting for more then 40 minutes just for someone to open this $24.00 treatment for my dog. I spoke with 5 employees and requested the manager in charge, she or he never show up. Then I have to wait 20 minutes or more just to pay all they only had like 3 register open and the self checkout and all of then with line going down the aisle. I wouldn't recommend this place to no one. I hope more from Walmart, after all it seen they had so many employees but no one in the areas for customer service. read more
