Showed up at 6:30 am, plenty of people already there. But go figure, it's Walmart. Instead of heading to the clothing section first I decided to stop by the cosmetics/hair aisle. The deodorants are all under lock and key. I found an employee and asked if she could open it up so I could get the oh so alluring degree deodorant behind the smeared glass. She told me she didn't have the key. I said thanks and walked off, but was awkward and sucked. Then I walked over to grab a bottle of the charcoal dry shampoo that works wonders, but of course they're all out of it. I go back to the clothing and found a couple pieces of like. I went to try they on there were a billion carts blocking all the fitting rooms and no one there to help open one. Then an employee happened to come over and was thinking I'd finally get a fitting room open. Instead she tells me they don't open the fitting rooms till 9. That doesn't make any sense to me. No notification thru text that my delivery would be incomplete. Went to the website and again, no notification that all of my items wouldn't be delivered. SO disappointing. I have been coming to this store for years! This is the 1st time I ever left this store in such a heated departure! My husband along with myself and my daughter was shopping tonight per usual. We had just finished our shopping but had to get a few things from the cosmetics department! I had to purchase makeup items and my husband purchased a few Dr. T's bath products for selfcare! As I stood there picking out mascara, I hear the cashier (NIKKI) arguing with my husband as he started placing items for her to ring up on the counter! She begin to telling him she cant ring up more then ten items! He proceeded to explain to her he was only purchasing the items from her department about (8) and I would be purchasing my own items! She again standing there doing nothing (NO OTHER CUSTOMERS) As she stood there patting the side of her head! Said... "LOOK I AM NOT GOING TO ARGUE WITH YOU! I CAN'T RING YOU UP BECAUSE I WILL GET FIRED! YOU NEED TO GO STAND IN THE OTHER LINE! I CAN'T DO IT!" NOW!!!! I have been to this plenty of times and cashiers rung up my merchandise plenty of times! When I may have only picked 1 or two items from the department, with majority being well over 15 item of miscellaneous store items. Just as I have been I other areas! I proceeded to the counter with intentions to defuse the situation explaining there was no sign for ten items or less... and I have never experienced this with any other cashier, I all the years I have patronize this store! At this point, she got heated with me! She went on to aggravate the situation by telling me... "I AM NOT GOING TO ARGUE WITH YOU TODAY! LET ME CALL THE MANAGER! I said please do! Dog Health & Wellness section had me waiting for more then 40 minutes just for someone to open this $24.00 treatment for my dog. I spoke with 5 employees and requested the manager in charge, she or he never show up. Then I have to wait 20 minutes or more just to pay all they only had like 3 register open and the self checkout and all of then with line going down the aisle. I wouldn't recommend this place to no one. I hope more from Walmart, after all it seen they had so many employees but no one in the areas for customer service. read more

Rolled her eyes at me when I said I wanna talk to her manager. Then Spoke to manager who also had the same attitude who told me he couldn't help because it was not in the system. I asked him why is it on the rack for sale if it's not in the system ( was plenty of the same items on the rack). he said he can't not add it to their system. It is very easy to answer the phone and say can I place you on hold please for a few minutes. But nobody answers the phone. Not even the main number, the customer service inside the store is also terrible. I could understand why this location has such low ratings, overall. It's SUPER CROWDED! Finding parking can be a REAL NIGHTMARE!! By the time you snatch up a parking spot (and remove a shopping cart someone was too lazy to put back), maneuver your way through crowds of people just standing around to get what you need, you're already feeling exhausted. Then you have to deal with waiting in line to check out. Even the self-check out line seems to move pretty slow. Now Here's my recommendations to make your trip to Walmart more pleasant: 1. AVOID at all cost, coming here on the weekends!! I swear, I think some people and families come here to get out of the house and enjoy the air conditioned environment. What, you punishing me for shopping here? People shopping also here have no respect for the store. Food is on the floor, and it doesn't seem to matter because the floor is dark with stains. Merchandise is scattered around as people pick up stuff and dump it wherever. Too few cashiers means long lines, and 2 of the self-checkout registers were broken. Sam Walton, if you can hear me, close this store for renovations. Widen the isles, put in more lighting, scrape the grime off the parking lot, hire employees who respect their customers, then kick out every son of a b**** who insults shoppers by making a mess. I came here because I needed to do a price check and some research for work. That said, I consider WM a necessary evil in this world, it feels like a trip to, 'the far side.' During my 20 minutes store experience I encountered no less than 5 oddities - things that I saw, or people that I interacted with doing strange things. Seeing kids running and screaming, customers arguing (debating?), liberal use of profanity, and watching people open items before purchasing them are just commonalities that all WM stores share. I have been shopping at this Walmart since it opened in 2005. I was living in Redondo Beach at the time and this was the first California Walmart that I stepped foot in and it was a shock--poor service, shelves half-empty most of the time, and long 1/2 hour checkout lines. It's because there were no other Walmarts in the area--it was always mobbed here and its right off the 405. I was used to my old 24 hour Scottsdale, Arizona Walmart that was more like shopping at Macy's it was so pleasant and relaxed and clean and big and organized and uncrowded with friendly helpful service. Fast forward 10 years, it's still mobbed, but the service has improved a lot, lines shorter, and shelves better stocked, service more friendly. The other thing that is an anomaly at this Walmart is that it has predominately Black and Mexican clientele and employees. I am by far a minority at this Walmart. Most times, I think that I am the only white person in the store. So if you are White and want to feel what someone Black feels in a White world--come to this Walmart. Does not bother me at all, but it's an interesting contrast to the Huntington Beach Walmart where it seems like everyone is White there and there is no one else. So in Sum, they are doing a lot better today with stock now, than in the early days. Still no Gluten Free Section and while it has food, it was not built out to be a supermarket Walmart. read more

Ive been to this Walmart only a handful of times and it looks like it gets worse each time. The lines and the store itself are just atrocious. I dont know if they were doing inventory this past wednesday night but isles were just stacked with boxes, the floors were filthy, and customer service did not exist. I was in line for over 55 minutes with less than 5 items. The store itself isnt even stocked well. Everything is misplaced, the layout doesnt flow. I asked an employee if he worked here, he said "Yes, and no." I just laughed and walked away. It must be really easy to work here because no one does their part, management needs a reality check. Got to the customer service area and there was a customer trying to return an item she bought from a Walmart store that has since closed. She was surrounded by 3 Walmart employees - the 1st was a seemingly reasonable clerk who was trying to be helpful, the 2nd appeared to be a supervisor and the 3rd was a busy-body clerk who was HOVERING, making snarky comments (tsssk, nah uh, you can't return that, I scanned it and it don't work) and adding absolutely zero value to the conversation. After 5 minutes of standing at the front of the line, the snarky clerk walked over to me and started processing my return. Or so I thought. I was wrong. She was merely holding onto my return item, looking past me and daftly listening to the conversation she just left. She didn't respond to me when I twice requested a return. Instead, she shouted to the other folks, "NAH, SHE CAN'T RETURN THAT HERE. IT DON'T WORK! I DUN TOLD YOU! TSK!" It was like I was a ghost in the sixth sense and she just couldn't see or hear me. After I waited another 5 min for her to finish her rant (mind you the other 2 employees never talked to her - very telling of what value they think she's adding to the world - ZERO!!). She then scanned my item and started to tell me that "NOO, it don't work. This ain't in the system." I pointed out that she scanned the wrong bar code. She finally processed my return and handed me my paperwork without another word. She didn't apologize ever. I next asked her where the bathroom was. She stared at me like I was an alien and just waved her hand slowly like she was batting a tired fly. I wanted to peel the skin off my own face for asking her an extra question. I've never experienced such EXCEPTIONALLY TERRIBLE service. You guys really have outdone yourselves!! On way to the bathroom, I encountered 2 huffy, irritated customers who also didn't have any manners. Maybe they got dragged down by the abysmally rude and incompetent staff? Maybe their mothers fed them moth balls when they were babies?! I should have just gotten out of dodge after that return! Steer clear of this Walmart! I think shopping here automatically gives you street cred! Def not a location for the meek. First, maneuver the mess of a parking lot and try to find a spot without hitting pedestrians. Then, try to enter the store without being accosted by shady-looking people wanting you to sign petitions, buy candybars (not even school Sees candybars, just plain ol' random M&Ms?) or ask you for random change for their "tough times." SERIOUSLY. Being inside is a cardio workout as you need to jump from side to side to avoid obstacles such as boxes of items yet to be shelved, families of 6 blocking aisles, ugly screaming children, accidental parents threatening to hit their ugly screaming children and workers who stand around not working and just get in the way. Lastly, the check-out lines are LONG and the cashiers are usually SLOW and confused. Leaving here with my so-called savings is never really worth it. I always check my purse for my wallet and cell-phone and then I peel the F-out out listening to bad rap music to ease my frustration. This was my first foray into Walmart and it was aok. Granted I didn't NEED anything. I was waiting for my boyfriend to return an online purchase so I thought I'd peruse the aisles. It was a weekday early afternoon so parking was fine and the store wasn't that crowded. The thing that surprised me was the decent selection of gluten free packaged food. I know, a niche market and since I doubt many Walmart customers are clambering for these items, the shelves were full and a lot was on sale. Sine the SO is Celiac, I scored 4 bottles of gf soy sauce that was in clearance. Ooh. And I also bought 2 boxes of Barilla GF pasta. Woah. The last thing I bought was a 4 pack of Q Tonic. Much cheaper than BevMo. The worst part was checking out. Trust me, wait in the self check out lane. It may seem longer but it's the best choice. So I'm good for at least 3 years till my next Walmart trip. read more

This Walmart is fine. Most Walmart's make sure they have plenty of parking and this one does as well. It gets crowded about an hour after opening. Have fun if you come anything after that. There are always lines for the check outs but they move semi-quickly unless you get behind and unlucky line. Walmart always has a busy feel with people moving in every direction. If you go to Wal-Mart and expect a great experience or anything other than being able to pick up most of your groceries on the cheap, then you will be sorely disappointed. This location does have a garden center and tire/lube center which is nice, but I did not use the services there, so I cannot speak for them. The workers here are mostly there for the hours and to make their check, not really in the know how on where things are located, especially if you are in the seasonal sections and asking questions...you can forget about any help there. All in all, this is a Wal-Mart and the closest one to me, I don t go here often, but when I do, I pick up whatever I can to avoid future visits. read more

If I could give this Walmart no stars I would. In fact that's exactly what they honestly deserve because even the manager there is rude and mean and just totally unprofessional. So I go to this Walmart to get a number of things. I mean my basket was practically filled all the way to the top. And so after I had just spent over $400 on merchandise at this Walmart, I had to use the restroom terribly. I had to hold it the whole time they were ringing up my stuff because they had just closed. So being considerate of the fact that I'm sure these employees want to go home I held my pee until we were done ringing up all my items and until after I paid. I was trying to hold it until I got home, but that wasn't happening. Bout time they had finished ringing up all my stuff, and then after me paying for it. I couldn't hold it no more! So since the restrooms in the front were out of order I had to go all the way to the back of the store. So as I'm on my way back there to the bathroom, the first employee starts harassing me. She's like "hey hey hey where are you going." As I'm running to the bathroom I yell "To the bathroom!" Then she yells back "We closed so you can't go to the bathroom." I ignore her and continue my run all the way to the back of the store heading to the bathroom. I was determined to pee because I knew I couldn't hold it. And in the back of my mind, I was thinking how I just spent over $400 in this store. So the least they can do is allow me to go to the bathroom without being bombarded with staff every step I take. So once I get back there close to the bathroom, I run into another employee. Yet this employee tries to deliberately stop me from going to the bathroom. First he lied and said that they were cleaning the bathroom at the moment; therefore he said it was closed right now. But that didn't stop me I continued to go back there, and he proceeded to scream at me like I was a child. Saying " What did I just say? I told you it's closed! Then once I get back there to the bathroom, I notice that no one is cleaning it. He was lying all that time; And he just so happened to be the manager. Only come to this location if you truly have to. I frequent this location because it's the closest to me. So when I do go I make sure that I have my ear buds in with music playing on high to block out the solicitors. NO I'd rather not sign your petition! NO I wish not to buy your (melted) chocolate candy bars in this 95 degree heat! BTW...it's 10:15a.m. on a school day, why aren't you IN SCHOOL? Dang hustlers! LoL. Merchandise is never filled in. You have to play, "find an employee" in order for them to do a stock check. The fitting room area is always filled with go-backs, most of the people who have to work that area seem to hate it...hence the attitudes that come across sometimes. I just block it out, not gonna let that ruin my day. The jewelry dept is always in shambles. Good luck on finding someone who works that department most of the time because they are always on "break", or in another section. The pet department is always messy. I know it's not cleaned like it's supposed to be. How do I know? Every time i go looking for items stuff looks the same from my last visit (which was maybe 2-3 days prior). McDonalds ALWAYS has long lines. Make sure to ask for condiments or you won't get any. LoL I never understood the eyebrow salon inside this location. They never seem to get any business, and they like to force their flyers upon you as you walk past them. That make you wanna do an Al Bundy football move and get them out of your way. Hahaha!! Not all of the employees have attitudes, the majority of the ones I've encountered are always willing to help however they can. Even the security that checks the receipts upon exit are very friendly! Self checkout needs assistance. Those machines have a mind of their own...LOL. Sometimes the line is long in that area too. It's because you have some people who have no business trying to check themselves out. Ie: those that can't follow directions (cash only sign) and want to get upset they can't use their debit card. Duh! Again, only come here if you truly have to, and avoid the first couple of weeks of the month. If you come at that time you will not find parking close to the store (just park waaaaaay to the back), a lot of food will be gone because of the EBT shoppers, and there will be people with attitudes left and right.
