I love checking out what new merchandise they have in store, especially the new tumblers. I also love the Dollar Spot and usually make a point to stop there first because you never know what little finds you're going to come across. Another thing I really appreciate is having access to the bathrooms right near the entrance. It's convenient, especially when you're just getting in or getting ready to shop. The one area I wish could be maintained a little better is the bathroom. Walking in and seeing trash all over the floor can be pretty unsightly and honestly takes away from the overall experience. I think having an employee designated to check the bathroom every 30 minutes or so could make a big difference in keeping it clean and welcoming. Overall, I really enjoy this Target and the little things that make shopping here enjoyable. I just think keeping the bathroom cleaner would help make the experience even better!

I like the convenience of knowing that they open at 6am-ish... Most times it opens up around 6:04 to 6:05 depending upon who's in charge of that area. The store is typical of Wal Mart's layout. Rows and aisles of clothing, food, household goods, etc. Most employees are nice and some you can tell are just trying to make it until break time, which is okay because we all have "days". My biggest issue is having to navigate through aisles that are riddled with pallets and merch needing to be shelved. Sometimes they'll be multiple employees in one aisle with their merch carts crammed against each other try to stock shelves. They're focused and most often won't move for you to get your shopping cart through, let alone get what you need off of the shelf. There are (2) restrooms, one is located in the back near the fabric area and one across the cash registers next to the eyeglass shop. The bathrooms are always clean and stocked. Again, it's a toss up between speaking with a nice, cordial employee and an employee who's just going through it. My recommendation is to have a plan if you're short on time. Especially for people who start work at 6:30am and the store is slow to open at 6am. Have a plan and be ready to do an audible in the event that the area you need items from are congested with merch carts and pallets.

Today, I finally visited The Cosmetics Company Store, and I loved being able to walk around and enjoy the samples. My friend also stopped at Mr. Cow to enjoy a Korean corn dog. We've already come here several times for Starbucks, and of course, this is also a really nice Safeway. I truly love the Waikele area. I find it to be one of the nicer parts of town because it feels clean, relaxing, and full of different places to shop and eat. You also have some higher end stores like Michael Kors, plus a brand new Miniso! Every time I drive through this area, I automatically feel a little bit fancier. LOL. I could honestly see myself living here one day just because of all the places there are to visit, shop, dine, and relax. It reminds me of why I love Kapolei Commons so much. Since I'm usually in Kapolei, that is still my regular area, but I would definitely love to spend more time exploring Waikele too. There are even food vendor trucks in the back, which is such a huge bonus. I absolutely love Leonard's Malasadas! If you go toward the side where Mr. Cow is located, you can also find Korean food trucks. There are so many places here that I still haven't discovered, so please don't mind me. Let me be a tourist for a little while, and eventually I'll be back to give you the full 411!

Reyn Spooner is a fashion design company founded in 1956 by Reyn McCullough and Ruth Spooner, whose names make up the company name. Reyn resided on Catalina Island, CA and met Don Graham of the Dillingham Corp, the developer of the Ala Moana Shopping Center in 1956. He moved to Honolulu in 1959 and opened a retail store in that shopping center. In 1962, Reyn teamed up with Ruth Spooner to create Reyn Spooner in Honolulu and currently has 7 retail stores in HI and also sells apparel in department stores in the US and abroad. Design work is done in HI and sewn in Asia. Reyn felt the traditional aloha shirt had a too bold print and improved it by combining the reverse or inside-out print with his own eye for more sophisticated prints and paired them with a classic tailoring of an oxford cloth shirt. It was called "Spooner Kloth," which was a blend of cotton and spun polyester that's amazingly durable, wrinkle free, and breathable. This iconic shirt became the Aloha shirt that is worn around the world. While working, my hubby's favorite shirts were Reyn Spooner reverse print cotton shirts. He thought they were nice designs, were well made, as they were meticulously sewn and lasted a number of years before you could notice it fading in certain areas. Seams were perfectly double-sewn in straight lines. An extra button was sewn on the underside to allow for lost buttons. As these shirts were pricey, my hubby would show up at their periodic warehouse sales, as their shirts were heavily discounted due to discontinuance of styles. It didn't matter to him, as a Reyn Spooner shirt never goes out of style. And so what if you got last year's Christmas shirt, as even if the year is subtly printed on the fabric, no one will notice. And he specifically looked for shades of blue and black to match with his slacks. So, can't complain about the high prices of these shirts, as they match the quality for what you get. Yes, looking dashing and huge savings when purchased at these warehouse sales! Things have changed over the years. A Reyn Spooner discount store has been set up at the Waikele Premium Outlets. Warehouse sales are no longer held, as this discount store is used to further discount their items, oftentimes at 25% lower than the discounted price, at certain times of the year. Staff notes that prices are similar to those of the former warehouse sales. The discount store is huge and spacious! There are racks of clothing for all family members that Reyn's are known for: terminated prints, local and national sports teams, Christmas prints, pandas, Snoopy, University of HI, and many more. There was clothing for the kids, women, men; straw and fabric hats; plush teddy bears; slacks; t-shirts; collared shirts; swim shorts; hydro flasks; and others. This is a far cry than the small, cramped warehouse sales from years before. The Waikele store is located next to Famous Footwear and on the right side of the Information Center. Hours of operation are Mon to Thurs 10a to 7p, Fri/Sat 10a to 8p, Sun 11a to 6p. Check the hours during the periodic sales, as they open an hour earlier; however, the parking spaces are blocked until regular starting hours to prevent Waikele store employees from parking in them. The Reyn Spooner store at Waikele Outlets is a godsend, as you can get immediate discounts right away. And if you wait for those periodic sales, you'll get further discounts! So glad that my hubby retired, as he no longer needs these shirts, other than for the occasional ones he needs for attending a funeral or celebration. After all these years, Reyn Spooner is still is favorite!

She won't serve me and yelled at telling me to get out of in front of her cash register and go all the way to the back of the line. I explained to her that nobody was here when I arrived and I was first in line. She then yelled at me told me to get out of the line. There were 5 other witness behind me that heard everything. So I went to another register and ask for her name. Ms. May rudely shouted across with a sassy remark. The store pharmacy supervisor should fire her. From now on I will not buy anything from this pharmacy until she is terminated.

Worst f'ing Walmart on this island. The short workers and the ones that are crippled acting like I am stealing from them while I am paying 1000's of my hard earned money. These people are so disrespectful and act like they're so fancy and bougie but work at Walmart in a wheelchair. Trying to double check my receipt as IF I stole from them. This store is a total disaster. I intended to make a QUICK run into Walmart on Friday mid-moring to grab two cans each of evaporated milk and condensed milk. The self-check out area was the only place to pay for our purchases, and there were no cashiers in the any of the 10 regular checkout lanes at all. As a result, I had to wait in a 40 minute line only to purchase less than $10 worth of items. When it was finally my turn, the self-checkout kiosk I was using malfunctioned and froze up on me, so a cashier end up ringing up my items for me. I demanded to speak to a manager, however, the cashier calmly rang up the few dollar items I purchased and I left. I bet the Kunia store's coward manager(s) were watching the surveillance camera feed laughing their asses off watching their innocent employees get bashed around by angry customers. read more

I mean walmart is walmart and all but it seems like this store doesn't care sometimes. Especially when you try and call them to ask a question and they put you on hold for 15 minutes at a time and then transfers you over to wrong departments AND THEN HANGS UP ON YOU MULTIPLE TIMES. Its frustrating so if you need something from this particular walmart just walk in, DO NOT CALL. But besides that i mean theyre fine. I ended up going inside this one because calling them on the phone to see if something was in stock was obviously not working out for me. Luckily they had what i wanted in stock. read more

You'll find all the clearance items in the back by the bathrooms. I walked by and saw the honey roasted peanut M&Ms at half price. I got a bag for $1.20. Great deal! But then again, this is someone who used to live in Texas and needed to always have a 66° AC to someone who now lives in a space with absolutely no AC. So take this with a grain of salt. This is probably my favorite Safeway I've ever been to and I've been to several in the country during my travels. It's a shame that I only started checking in seriously this year! I highly recommend this location for good finds and for being very well organized. It makes me want to shop more. I also found some fun items in their international section that I've never seen before. I will obviously be back!

We stocked up on a few things and then filled up our rental car at Costco gas before returning it, which made the end-of-trip logistics easy. No sushi, but chocolate, coffee and a full tank of gas.
