Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich
Jessica S.

My boyfriend and I came and sat at the bar for a quick bite to eat and drink and I really enjoyed my food & the moscato they serve is flavorful! The hot honey on the hot honey chicken sandwhich was dripping off and it was delicious. The sweet potato tater tots were small but mighty in flavor & great with ranch - which I will say, coming from a ranch lover, they have great ranch!! The bartenders and food service were both quick which we appreciated. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is very cute inside & would be a great date spot![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It really saddens me to see how down hill Walnut Grill has gone. The food quality declined since COVID and the service is horrendous. Tonight was the third night we ordered take out and our order was WRONG. I specifically asked for no cheese and even said the last time we ordered no cheese, it was still put on the sandwich and we were disappointed. The girl that took my order ensured me she'd double check that there was no cheese, but guess what? THERE WAS. And they forgot the French dip. Also, I called three times to place my order and they put me on hold and kept forgetting about me, so I had to call back. I thought maybe they were just busy but when I went to go pick up the food there were only four tables seated in the restaurant! Literally no one who works here cares either. After tonight, my family is done with this place.

Came here for brunch and had a good experience. Service was good, a little slow considering the place was empty (although the Taste of Settlers Ridge). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lots of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got chocolate chip pancakes, veggie frittata, and the WG lil bite. Besides a little bit too much cheese on the frittata, the food tasted really good and portions sizes were good. Would want to come back to try their lunch dishes!

Service was excellent. Waitress was attentive, and orders arrived fairly quick. Chicken pear flatbread was tasty. Bbq salmon Korean bowl was not the best -- too much rice and teriyaki sauce, mango pieces, not salsa. Didn't finish,

I had never heard of this restaurant so I checked it out on Yelp. Didn't have a high star rating but we decided to try it out anyway. The service considerably slow. The arrangement and ambiance of the restaurant were nice enough. With that said, i want to finish up with saying that the food was EXCELLENT! Would definitely go back.

My friends and I went here for dinner and drinks before going to the movies and had the best time! The restaurant is very well kept and looks beautiful, and our waitress was so nice. The food is a bit pricy, but it was so good and they have really nice specials as well! We went on Sunday and I was so happy to see that bloody Mary's were on of their special drinks for the day, $6. I LOVED the Bloody Mary! The chicken Cobb salad was also really good.

A great, more relaxing alternative than nearby First Watch and Deluca's. We hopped over to Walnut after we arrived to Deluca's at a 10am rush with a wait, and we were able to get into Walnut with ease. We sat at a wonderful open air section of the restaurant which was able to be enjoyed in the rain, as it has an overhang! Even though you're looking out at the parking lot, you do feel like you're perhaps on vacation out there. It's quite peaceful! We enjoyed the Crème Brûlée French Toast and the Eggs Benedict. We asked to substitute fresh fruit for breakfast potatoes that comes with the French Toast. We also ordered a side of bacon. We were unimpressed by the bacon. We overheard it's cooked in the oven and perhaps the bacon can be improved with griddle top cooking. The service was efficient and kind. We'll absolutely return for future breakfast outings!

Crispy Cauliflower

We stopped before the movies for a drink and some apps. We sat at the bar, and the two bartenders were great and super friendly. We ordered the cauliflower and Buffalo chicken flatbread. The cauliflower was great. The flatbread had a great flavor but way too much cheese. My husband had a Bells Oberon beer, actually two, he said it was a wonderful and light drink. The only thing we thought negative was the flatbread was $19.00. We were actually happy with the beer being only $5.00.

The joys of traveling with an 18-year-old. After several days of working long hours and running on…read morevery little sleep, there were only a few things on my young travel companion's mind: sports, food, sleep, and probably girls--in no particular order! With an 8:50 PM flight out of Pittsburgh and not much time to spare, we decided to grab dinner on the way to the airport. I let my travel companion pick the restaurant, and since he's a lot like his father, he made a solid choice. All Star Sports Bar & Grill was conveniently located and an easy stop before heading to the airport. Thankfully, the restaurant wasn't busy when we arrived because we still had the rental car return, TSA and a flight ahead of us. We opted for the dining area rather than the bar, which gave me a chance to take in all the sports memorabilia. As a lifelong sports fan, I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Being in Pittsburgh, the walls were covered with Steelers and Penguins history, along with plenty of jerseys from players I grew up watching. Our server, Nicole, was excellent from start to finish. Friendly, attentive, and quick with recommendations. Before my coworker could even look at the menu, I spotted the Soft Pretzel Sticks and ordered them as an appetizer. Good decision. Warm, salty, and paired perfectly with the cheese sauce. Definitely order these When I asked Nicole for recommendations, she immediately suggested the Reuben and the wings. Had I not eaten a Reuben the day before, that's probably what I would have ordered. As for the wings, I'll admit it--I am a Wing Snob. If they're not homemade or from Western New York, I'm usually passing. That's not a knock on their wings; it's just a very high standard that comes from growing up around some of the best wings in the country. Wanting to try something local, I ordered the Pittsburger. For me, it was just okay. Not bad by any means, and I cleaned my plate, but it wasn't a sandwich I'd order again. Looking back, the Reuben probably would have been the better choice. The fries were also average. I requested them crispy and without seasoning, but they didn't really stand out. Meanwhile, my travel companion ordered boneless wings. What can I say? He's 18. I even tried explaining the superiority of blue cheese over ranch, but that lesson appears to have fallen on deaf ears. Overall, I'm giving All Star Sports Bar & Grill 3 stars. That rating has more to do with my particular food choices and the rushed nature of our visit than the restaurant itself. The sports atmosphere was excellent, the service from Nicole was outstanding, and there were several menu items I'd like to come back and try. If I'm back in the area with more time and a bigger appetite, I'd definitely give this place another shot.

I don't know how I'd feel bringing a family in here. The location is a bit wonky in a mall parking lot as well. However, the service was solid, but I was confused because two servers were taking care of us at the same time. If you're looking for a bar while you're at the mall, this is pretty much the only thing you've got that's within the same walking space. Enjoy.

Made my first visit to The Village TapHouse on a Wednesday evening this past August. I love any…read morekind of Bingo, and I saw on Facebook they were holding their monthly Bar Bingo on this night. So, I made my way on over. The Village TapHouse is located in the South Hills Village Mall area, but a little up the road from the actual mall. It is tucked away in the rear of the building located on the corner of Washington Road and North Highland Road. The business that is visible from the main intersection is Clubhouse Cards. If you follow North Highland past this entrance off of Washington, The Village TapHouse will be on your right. There is some limited parking right in front of the entrance. However, since there are a lot of other businesses around here, you can find other parking across the street or before the actual entrance, regardless of which direction. I had no issue getting a spot right across the street, and making the short walk over. I arrived that evening around 7:00 PM, as that is when the Bingo was slated to start. There were a good amount of people attending the event, as the indoor main dining area was pretty much full when I arrived! No issue for me though, as I was by myself. So, I found a seat at the bar. There were several other patrons sitting at the bar, but it was not shoulder-to-shoulder or anything like that. There is also some patio seating, but I do not believe the Bingo was heard out in that area. Once situated, I went up to buy my Bingo cards from the two hosts. They were set up in the main dining room, but were using microphones. I had no issue hearing them all night long from the bar. It was $10 for a pack of 3 cards, and I purchased 2 packs. They also had daubers for sale, but I brought my own to use. I waited around for the games to start once I bought my cards, which ended up being around 7:30 PM. It was also Pajama-themed Bingo, which I was unaware of until I arrived. This allowed you for a special perk for one of the games. I am not sure if they always do this, but I would advise participating in whatever theme is advertised to get the most out of your experience. There were a few bartenders serving this evening. The lady who waited on me was prompt and friendly the whole night. I started off with a pint of FireWistle Red. It was a solid red beer, and served as a nice sipper for my evening. As the Bingo went on, I decided to put in a food order. I ordered a Half Dozen Wings in the Chicken and Waffles Wet Rub. I thought this was a unique flavor, so I wanted to give it a try. I enjoyed the taste of these! They were split wings, but overall the size was serviceable. The plate also had several pieces of celery and ranch dressing to accompany the wings. The food here was fairly priced. For my 6 wings and beer pint, the total was around $15. It seemed from the menu that the majority of entrees were $15 or under, which I believe is a great deal. Overall, no complaints in terms of prices or value. I ended up staying here for nearly three hours in order to finish the Bingo games. So, I had plenty of time to take in the atmosphere. I enjoyed the people, staff, and the overall vibe of the place. The patrons were friendly, and the staff seem to recognize their regulars while having meaningful conversation. Plus, the Bingo games brought some fun and entertainment to the night overall. This first visit of mine to The Village TapHouse was a positive one. Very much enjoyed the people, atmosphere, food, and fun Bingo activities. I cannot believe with how close I live to here that it took me this long to give it a try. Now I am happy to know there is a spot like this practically in my backyard. I have seen on Facebook that they also have Trivia Nights, so that is something I want to check out in the future. Even though I did not win Bingo this time, it will not stop me from coming back and trying again. I would recommend stopping here for a meal, or a fun night of entertainment, if you find yourself in the South Hills Village area of town.

Usually its like bacon and American cheese, guac, pico, etc., but these were just shades of white and green. I wish I could've finished them but the portion was quite a bit for 1 person.
