Tourist here! I always try to find high quality restaurants when in different cities. This place had great reviews and I know why. It's a classy and yet down to earth kind of place. You are treated well by the servers and the food speaks for itself! The place was packed which I heard is a locals favorite for upscale type of food/restaurant. Some folks were dressed up and we were dressed in casual clothing as it was a spur of the moment find for dinner. We were not looked down upon due to our attire, which made me happy. Now let's talk about the food! I had the short rib with risotto. We love risotto and I typically order it if on the menu. Mine was served a bit cold so I told my server who right away sent it back and got me a hot fresh plate. Manager came over and apologized as well. The short rib was so tender and delicious and the risotto was fabulous. Hubs had the elk and he raved about it as well as the risotto. We left very impressed and would definitely recommend you give this place a try. But call ahead and get reservations just to ensure you get a seat.

Second time visiting tonight, and like the first amazing service and great food. It's a small restaurant, so even on a busy night, there's only around 20 people there. The food is a little expensive for an average date, but it's great for any special occasions.

We had another great meal at Walnut Kitchen. The bread service featured cornbread and sourdough with sorghum butter. I decided to go for the sourdough and thought it was soft and had a strong sourdough taste. For my meal, I chose the Cajun Filet Pasta that has seasonal vegetables, mushrooms, Cajun cream sauce, and freshly made in house fettuccine. The Filet was cooked perfectly and slightly spicy from the Cajun seasoning on the steak. I thought the mushrooms had an earthy taste, and the vegetables were fresh. Lastly, the pasta was al dente, and the sauce was more smoky than spicy. I highly recommend trying the pasta. If you're afraid it's going to be spicy, it wasn't spicy at all. My mom ordered the pork chop which came with green apple + bacon chutney, campfire potatoes, cauliflower, arugula, and apple cider reduction. The pork was cooked perfectly and was juicy. (Sorry the picture didn't come out right) My Dad chose the chicken special, which was a stuffed chicken breast with spinach and cheese. Then it's wrapped in prosciutto and fried. It was served with asparagus and creamy polenta. Overall, I would highly recommend going to Walnut Kitchen if you want a delicious meal every time.

My husband and I are from out of town and when we travel we always look for a unique memorable dining experience. The Walnut Kitchen makes the top of our list! Immediately upon entering you are greeted by the friendly staff amidst a warm inviting dining room. The rustic down home charm create a cozy organic atmosphere. The menu has a broad offering of appetizers and entrees and includes elk, which is a favorite of mine to seek out. The knowledgeable staff made sure to go into great detail on the charcuterie selections and the presentation of the tomahawk steak was like nothing I've experienced. The layers of flavor in the coffee rub on the elk paired nicely with the meat and risotto and left me truly speechless. We were shocked to find out the greens were vegetarian-none of us would've guessed that from the flavor! The mamas brownie topped off our meal and if I were you I wouldn't miss it! The cheesecake center was a great compliment to the brownie and the ice cream and drizzle really set it all off. The walnut kitchen gave us everything we were looking for and more; from the ambiance to the selection to the quality of food and service. We will be back this summer for sure! Thank you to the head chef, staff and kitchen crew for a memorable dining experience!

This is the place that officially made me a fried chicken fan -- and no fried chicken has ever come close to Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken! Address: 126 Lovell Rd, Farragut, TN 37934 Food: 6/5 My go-to meal is the 3-piece Chicken Tenders with French Fries and Baked Beans, with an added Chicken Breast. Gus's chicken is the best fried chicken I have ever had. It's perfectly cooked with an incredible crunch on the outside, while staying moist and juicy on the inside. The spices are absolutely delicious! I've been here over 15 times, and the consistency has always been amazing every single visit. The baked beans are also the best I've ever had. The French fries are seasoned perfectly with a great crunch while still having a fluffy texture inside. ‍Service: 6/5 The service at Gus's is top tier. Every server treats each table like they're the most important customers in the building. Special shoutout to Daisy -- the last few times I've visited, she has been my server, and she remembers me every time. She even knows my order by heart now! She is genuinely one of the nicest and best servers I've ever had at any restaurant. Atmosphere: 5/5 I absolutely love the vibes at Gus's. I always feel right at home whenever I walk in. The design and menu perfectly match the restaurant's personality, and the place is always clean with plenty of comfortable seating. Value: 5/5 The prices and portions are both an A+ for me. I ordered extra food this time, but you can easily get a fantastic and affordable meal here. Final Thoughts I absolutely love Gus's, and it will forever be one of my go-to spots before going to a movie. This is some of the best fried chicken you will ever have -- if not #1, then easily Top 3 of all time. Bring your family, let Daisy take care of you, and enjoy an incredible meal! FEAST Overall Rating: 6/5 Would I Go Back?: Forever and always -- I'll keep coming back

I felt it was kind of tough and not crispy enough. Like a dark, over-fried version. Sides were okay. I like that they had collard greens. Goes well with chicken. Overall: Seems way overhyped. I like CM Chicken better. For Southern style, I've had better as well.

We were greeted right away and were able to take a table. Small dining area, with very limited seating. Nice warm cozy vibe including Bob Ross on the tv. The food came out quickly. Hot and fresh. I got the Snoring Bear Breakfast. I chose the Cajun seasoning for the tilapia and it was a lil bland. I probably could have asked for more seasoning, so that's on me. The rest was great. Eggs cooked to perfection. My wife chose the fish platter and she said the fish was delicious. The fries were a lil over seasoned and she had to rub some of the fries off. As for the drinks, cans of Coke, Sprite, etc are $1.99 each. A lil pricey but it is clearly marked on the menu. My only complaint is I ordered a water and was charged 50 cents. It's not listed anywhere on the menu, so I was surprised to see it on my bill. Overall, I would probably stop here again for a quick bite if I'm in the area. Nice little place, and the service is great!

Not to leave out the rest of the staff - the manager and everyone else we were in contact with were exceedingly warm and welcoming. And the food! Wow!
