This was my first time stopping at Walt. They primarily focus on chardonnays and pinot style wines. Our hostess was very friendly and accommodating for our larger group. She was attentive to our tables and was able to seat us somewhat together on their back door balcony area. The outdoor area was nice, but not something I would recommend for a super windy day like Saturday as we had some of the plants blown on/over us. The wines were great, my favorite was actually the chardonnay at the beginning and a merlot that was not a part of our flight. Great spot to visit in Napa, parking in the area is a little tricky because there are multiple businesses in the area that share the space so I would recommend being a little early to be able to find parking.

Not the friendliest/welcoming tasting room in downtown Napa. We walked in on Saturday at noon, and were greeted by rude stares at the bar. The heavy set older lady told us they were busy with a lot of reservations coming up, so offered us a standing tasting at the bar, or to come back in a few hours. When we told her we were fine at the bar, she seemed disappointed because she was hoping we would leave. Another server ended up seating us at a table, and was wonderful during our tasting. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming. They're known for Pinots, but only one stood out to us, their flagship Bob's Ranch, so we left with a bottle. Ironically, the tasting room was empty when we were there, and we only saw one group come in. So not sure what she meant about them being busy. First impressions are important. We come to Napa every other month to pick up wines from our memberships, but don't think we'll be back to Walt.

Came here with a group of friends for the wine and chocolate pairing - they set us up in the back room. The selection was great and the gal serving us was so nice, answering all of our questions. Have had similar great experiences with their Sonoma location. My only recommendation is that they had all of the wines in glasses vs jars. I love to do a quick little sip of each for comparison before enjoying a whole glass. Couldn't do that with this setup.

Amazing tasting room next to Oxbow Market. Grab food before coming. Long time Napa regulars. John was fantastic sharing how food and the wines would go well together. We already loved Hall and decided to sign up for the club because of the great experience here.

I came with my friend here who has been a wine member at Walt for years. Our host knew her by name and brought us out a Rose to try. I'm more of a Cabernet girl, but I feel like I got to try some great Pinot Noirs here that I enjoyed! Bob's Ranch was my second favorite. We tried a Chardonnay that was delicious too! We sat on the couches outside and watched the downtown life of Napa pass by. I have seen this little spot on the corner for years, but never experienced it until today. If you're nearby or just stopping by the Oxbo for lunch, this is a great spot! I was impressed by how wide of a span their membership reaches with access to 4 locations with complimentary wine tastings with one membership at WALT Tasting Rooms & HALL St. Helena. At this location, they said you can even book a wine tasting for your friends to enjoy when you're not around. Our server was so kind and friendly and knew a lot about our wine selection. We felt very taken care of here! Don't pass this place up!

Our last day in Napa was cloudy, overcast and was either too chilly without your jacket and too hot with a jacket. Just not a real nice day for a walk through downtown Napa. We had a great breakfast at a pub, stopped for a fair to middling wine tasting and were headed back to the market to take something back to our room for dinner I remembered that the bar tender at our hotel told us there was this little house near the market that did tastings We were tired, but since they were doing Pino Noir tastings we decided to check them out. We were fortunate to get a space as they were almost full So glad we did, the young lady serving us was very interactive and explained where along the Oregon and California coast each specific grapes were harvested. All their wines were superior to anything we've tasted in the last three days. So much so that my daughter joined the wine club. and sincere we also bought bottles of wine to take with us, we didn't have to pay for the actual wine tasting itself These people know how to host a wine tasting. If you're in Napa check out Walt wine tastings

Excellent tasting experience. Cortney was our host who was so friendly and had so much insight into the wines and shared many fascinating back stories about winemaker Kathryn Hall. She made our experience fun and memorable, really appreciate her light hearted personality and passion for the wines. Needless to say, we were more than happy to sign up as new members of the Walt/Hall/Baca family. The tasting room is also super accessible in the downtown Oxbow plaza so it's easy to find. Very excited to explore all the new adventures our new membership will take us! Oh and obviously the Pinots are AMAZING here.

Thank you John. We had our Pinot noir and Truffle Tasting today and you gave us so much nice informations and background about it all! We really enjoyed your company and views on the wines. Hope you'll remember us well, and we'll see you maybe on the next Octoberfest ;-) All best wishes! Dennis & Marcel

The entire experience was stellar, beginning with a welcome glass of Vin Gris, which counts as one of the five wines in the tasting. We settled into comfortable, spacious semicircular couches with panoramic views overlooking the vineyards, gardens, and mountains beyond. What truly elevated our visit was Dulce, our hostess, who has more than 20 years of wine experience. She described each wine with such knowledge and detail that we were able to choose wines we genuinely enjoyed. But it was more than expertise. She shared her knowledge and passion so freely and with such heart that she made the afternoon feel special. Dulce is truly a gift to Bouchaine. The hospitality began even before we arrived. When we realized we didn't need as much time between wineries, we called and asked whether we could move our 3:30 tasting to 2:30. They accommodated us with grace. We ended up staying more than 2 1/2 hours and never once felt hurried. I especially appreciated the generous spacing between the seating areas, which gave each group privacy and made the tasting feel peaceful rather than crowded. The grounds were lovely, with purple agapanthus and black-eyed Susans blooming against the vineyards and mountains. Even the modern wood architecture--from the tasting room and offices to the beautifully designed bathroom--made us feel as though we were somewhere thoughtfully created and genuinely special. Every member of the staff we encountered was warm and welcoming. Some wineries you visit once because you're curious to experience them. Bouchaine is the kind of place I would return to simply because of how wonderful it felt to be there. Although I would definitely be getting the Gewurztraminer, Merlot, and Pinot Noirs again too.

Our sommelier informed us that we were in the coolest and foggiest part of the valley, but it was a warm, clear day, and we were able to enjoy the lovely view from the terrace. Compared to other tasting experiences I've had in Napa, the tasting at Bouchaine was more laid back - we didn't take a tour, and our group was seated on the terrace for the afternoon. We tasted about 6 or 7 wines, including several blends unique to the winery. I liked how the tasting line up was flexible; our sommelier often let us choose between two wines for each round. Additionally, she explained the story behind each wine she poured. While I typically enjoy the more interactive tastings with a tour, it was nice to sit and relax with the stunning view.

My husband and I were able to call ahead and schedule a very last-minute tasting, and from the very beginning, the hospitality was exceptional. I work in the wine industry on the retail side in Texas, while my husband does not, so creating an experience that feels both educational and approachable for both of us is not always easy. Steve absolutely nailed it. He welcomed us warmly, shared thoughtful stories about the wines and the winery, and made the experience feel incredibly personal. The tasting room itself is beautiful and feels like a hidden gem in Napa. We especially loved learning about the wines and the woman winemaker behind Levendi. The tasting was stunning from start to finish. What truly sets Levendi apart, though, is the level of hospitality. Since our visit, I have referred many of my favorite clients to Levendi, and Steve consistently goes above and beyond for them. He bends over backwards to make sure my customers are taken care of, and every single person I've sent has come back raving about their experience. At this point, a trip to Napa would not feel complete without a stop at Levendi. I honestly cannot imagine Napa without Levendi -- or Steve. It is a beautiful château with seating both inside and outside on the terrace overlooking the vineyards. I made reservations in advance, and once we arrived, we could choose among three different tastings, ranging from about $45 to $60, depending upon the wines. If you prefer sweeter sparkling wines, ask which tasting would be the best choice for you. I also recommend adding the charcuterie plate, which came with three cheeses, crackers, dried cranberries, and honey and paired very nicely with the sparkling wines. Caviar is also available if you want to make the experience more indulgent. Dylan gave us a quick overview of the differences among the tastings and explained the four flutes of sparkling wine we would be trying. For me, Domaine Carneros is especially well suited to someone who wants to sit back, sip sparkling wine, and enjoy a beautiful vineyard view. It would also be a lovely choice for a romantic date. If you're looking for an in-depth educational tasting with extensive discussion about the winery's history or the individual wines, you may need to take the initiative and ask more questions. Our experience was more about enjoying the wines, the château, and the scenery than receiving a detailed wine education. And sometimes, sitting on a terrace overlooking Napa vineyards with four glasses of sparkling wine with some cheese and crackers to nibble on is a pretty great experience in itself.
