Stay away! The customer service is horrendous. I ordered a TV for my husband for Christmas. After I ordered it, I asked if it was possible to change the ship to address to my neighbors because I didn't want him to see it before Christmas. Walt's cancelled my order!!!. I never asked them to cancel, just ship to a different address. Who does that? For 2 weeks I tried contacting them to say I wanted the TV, and I didn't ask for it to be cancelled. After 2 weeks of aggravating back and forth's with 6 different customer service people (none of whom were on the same page with information), I finally gave up and ordered it from another place whose customer service is excellent. The TV will not be here before Christmas because Walt's screwed me around for 2 weeks, but it will be delivered to the address I asked. I will NEVER deal with these people again. They are great at taking the order, but when you want to get in touch with them once the order is placed, they are impossible to speak to. Take my word, go to First Class Tv's.com. They are amazing. Their customer service is exceptional as are their prices. Spare yourself the aggravation of dealing with this unprofessional business and abysmal customer disservice department. read more

My wife ordered a TV for my birthday. It arrived damaged because the FedEx driver slammed it against the wall. We were told we must send it back ourselves, so we did at a cost of $311.71. They sent the replacement TV FedEx once more even after they were provided ring video of the driver slamming it against the wall. Once again the TV was slammed against the wall and once again damaged. To date, we are still out the return shipping cost and Walts could care less and wants to blame Amazon even though it was their product shipped by their carrier of choice. so I ordered a tv a week ago from Walmart and it stated that Walts tv was delivering it. which is fine. but then i couldn't find which shipping company it's coming from. I eventually made calls and now I know it's coming from CEVA but the issue I'm having is my order states it's supposed to be here tomorrow june 27th here in TX. I talked to a woman over the phone who states it was in florida and finally gave me the actual tracking number. i tracked it and was first in Kentucky, then to Cincinnati, then Chicago, and now Florida..... so why is it going upwards in the United States then back down to Florida and then to TX. sorry but it makes no sense.. Just bought a new Mitsubishi WD-82840 from Walt's. I talked to Miles and he walked me through the difference between several of the models, which resulted in upsell from the 740 to the 840 model. I am so glad I went with the higher end model. The built-in soundbar speaker system is nothing short of amazing, creating a full surround sound effect. You clearly can hear the 5 different sound field. With the addition of a powered subwoofer connected directly to the TV, you do not need to run a seperate receiver for great sound. Miles's I usually hate the upsell, but you really did me a favor. Love the TV and more importantly, I love the price. I could not find a better deal anywhere. read more

My last purchase was an outdoor television that they had to secure into our stucco wall which turned out perfectly!!! The guys who installed it were so nice and professional!! Hi, I need to update this review for a couple of reasons. One being Rob, of Walt's, personally emailed me to find out more and look into my complaint. He went as far as to provide his personal #, should I have had wanted to further discuss the situation. To me, this is a pretty big deal. Hardly ever do owners, or mgrs, care enough to personally deal with individual complaints, and see the matter through. I thank him for that . The second reason I wanted to update this review is because of the dates on which this incident occurred. I had originally taken my tv in for repair back in December of 2002, and found what they actually did to fix the pcb, in Aug of 2008. It has been a long time, and perhaps many, if not all, of the employees back then have moved on. I mention this simply to be fair to those who may be new to the company, and for Yelpers to have a better understanding of the timing and situation. It just so happens I currently have two sets, which need repairs, and advised Rob I will try the free email eval and estimate, on their website, simply for showing good customer care. If I decide to get them fixed, I will hopefully be writing a more positive review. read more

Miles was excellent at helping me through the financing process and made things so smoothly (with 0 interest for 12 months). To save thousands on an OLED TV , I thought I was taking a gamble . One can easily be concerned when there are several negative reviews , prices thousands less then big name retailers, and a shipping policy that has one verify operation of TV. Needless to say, things were 5 star from start to finish. Richard Lippert answered my online chat question regarding an open box model, only to offer a ridiculously low price for a brand new one. It was a buy today offer and I jumped. I had to agree with the shipping policy of confirming the TV worked and free of any visual defects to box or TV before letting delivery guys leave. This ended up being no concern at all. The TV came fully crated and I visually inspected every step of the delivery. The box was free of any damage. The TV was brand new and sealed. The manufacturer date was March 2017. Product with full manufacturer warranty and registered OK. Delivery was less then 5 working days to neighboring state. I am above and beyond pleased and thankful to Walts TV for such a great deal. In hindsight I had nothing to worry about. The shipping policy understandable, due to not having retail locations to return a defective product to. The negative reviews, being that a higher percentage of people will sign up and give negative reviews from negative experiences. However, I can't explain the low prices. Mistakes and defects happen. Negative reviews will reflect that. However I thought Walts TV deserved the time and effort as well for Positive experiences. Thanks again Walts. read more

This is how Walts TV treat the customer: August 9th I purchased two 85 inch SANSUNG televisions, the total of purchase was $12,819.98 on the Amazon website. Amazon charged me the total amount through the credit card registered for this purchase. Amazon also informed the delivery date: August 16-18 I received a request to inform the Seller my telephone number which would be sent to the designated freight carrier to deliver the goods to me. On August 18th I contacted Amazon to have information about my delivery, Amazon informed me that I should call the seller because it would be shipped by him. I called the seller who told me they didn't have information about my product since he hired a freight carrier and that I should call the carrier to get the information. I called the carrier, they apologized for the delay becouse it was a delicate delivery and I was informed that my goods would be delivered on August 19th between 12:00 and 4:00pm. On the 19th of August at 3:00pm I called the carrier and was informed that the goods would be delivered on the 20th of August between 12-4pm. On the 20th of August (Friday) I called the carrier and they informed me that the goods would be delivered on the 23rd of August (next Monday). I called the seller, I was extremely disappointed because there was urgent need for the televisions, and "I said that this situation would not work for me", that the seller had to help me somehow by contacting the carrier he hired to have the goods delivered to me. The seller told me that the only thing they could do was cancel the order, I hung up the phone and tried again, unsuccessfully, to get some help from the carrier. In other words, I would have to wait until after the weekend (August 23) to receive my merchandise. On August 23, I called the carrier to get information about the delivery, they informed me that they would no longer deliver my merchansise because the seller requested the return of the goods. I called the seller to find out what was happening and the seller told me they canceled my order assuming that since I said this situation would not work for me, I was canceling the order and they were afraid to pay storage fees (main reason ). First: I didn't buy directly from the seller, if I wanted to formally cancel the order I would have done it through the Amazon website where I made the purchase. The seller said that it was incorrect, and they made that decision to return the merchandise because they didn't want to pay storage fees assuming I wouldn't receive the merchandise due to the delay. I asked the seller to reverse the operation and make the carrier deliver the goods to me and the seller told me that it was an irreversible process. I logged on to my Amazon account and formally canceled the order and requested a refund of the total amount US$ 12,819.98 It's been 2 months and so far neither Amazon nor seller have returned my money. read more

There was no hard sell from him and he was very knowledgeable and he was able to give me a discount and free delivery on it. The delivery was as promised and the delivery person was very courteous and polite. Because of this excellent experience, I decided to buy a second Sony tv from Walt's. This time, I happened to be in the area and went to the store. I asked for Richard and I told him what I was looking for and when I wanted delivery. The tv was delivered as promised. Both are setup and running. The picture quality is excellent and very impressive. I installed them both by myself, one with a sound system and the other one with a soundbar. Setup was a breeze. Walts is amazing. I wish they had a store in California where I live. I bought an OLED TV through their online storefront, and their customer service has been better than I could wish for. Prior to delivery, they called me to let me know about scheduling, and to give me the phone number of the delivery company in case I filter unknown numbers. The phone connection was flaky and got cut off, but they wrote an email to follow up almost immediately, and got me the information. During delivery, the TV remote and accessories were taken back by the delivery company accidentally. I called Walts and they were super understanding and helpful. They said they'd take care of contacting the delivery company, apologized if they couldn't get back to me the same day, and said they would definitely call back the next day. Keep in mind that I called 20 min. prior to their closing. The remote was redelivered to me that same night at 9pm. The customer service folks at Walts go out of their way to make things as stressless as possible. Thanks especially to Ashley and Tony for their help! read more

I purchased a 55' Samsung TV from Walt's in May of 2019 and tried to register it with Samsung in June 2019. Found out the TV was already three years old. Samsung said it was a new TV and not refurbished. I am so mad the sell person Matt did not tell me it was already 3 years old. I don't know if I should return the TV. Came in to get the power cord on my big flat screen replaced. I was gimpy with a torn ligament in my foot so I had a walking boot on. Chris helped me out right away. Walt's sold me a worthless extended warranty on a TV. The CPS warranty company denied my claim immediately, without even bothering to schedule a call or even call or email to learn what the problem was. I called Walts back but they won't return my call. CPS warranty says under coverage that they cover 100% of parts and labor, but when you file a claim, everything is done by email and they deny your claim. I tried their chat and all they did was say they would resubmit the claim and then a day later I got another email saying the claim was denied. I called them and the same thing happened - they said I could appeal to a different website. I tried that and it was denied. read more

Disappointed. I called before I came in to have my TV looked at and specifically asked how much they charged to look at. I was told they could come to us for $100 OR if I brought it in, there wasn't a charge. I brought it in. Answered all our questions and made clear suggestions regarding operating and care of TV, plus warranty process. Four years later when technical glitches occurred, Miles stepped up to the plate and followed up with same outstanding services. Bryan & Spencer picked up the TV, and returned with a new TV, completed the set up, answered all our questions and provided very professional service during the process. This place specializes in terrible products and service. I purchased a tv here a few months ago. I'm a "shop local" person and thought, "If I can get it here, that's better than Amazon." WRONG. This experience was the final nail in the "shop local" coffin for me. Within two weeks the tv began randomly turning off. Then, when it was off, it would not turn on via remote or button. Unplugging it would sometimes help but not always. I took it in and told them of the problem and they gave me a ticket and said their "service person" would look at it. First bad sign. After a week, I received a call from them saying there was nothing wrong with it and there is nothing they can do. Wonderful. Because this is what I do! I fake a problem with electronics just so I can drive twenty miles four times and deal with unmotivated sales people! (Sarcasm) When I picked it up I told them, "This is exactly why places like yours have been dying. If I have a problem with a product from Costco or Amazon, they say, 'I'm sorry for your experience. We will take the product back. Would you like an exchange or a refund?'" That's what people want: Customer service. But my guess is that they are selling lemons and they know it, and if they took back trash products they would never stay in business. read more

This is my 2nd giant TV purchase from Walt's TV specifically from Miles Bouchard. On a side note, the first time I purchased from Miles online was for a 92" Mitsubishi DLP which we enjoyed for 4 years. It was such a smooth transaction wherein Miles threw in 2 3d active glasses and a gorgeous glass-top table to hold the heavy beast of a TV. (still have the table, it is very pretty!) This time I saw a price drop on this new 85" UHD and I pounced. A tiny snag- I requested subsequent haul-away of the 92" which still worked well but was too unwieldy to move, not a usual request because I'm in Northern California and Walt's TV is in Phoenix, but Miles arranged a reverse white glove pickup for me. Its size precluded trying to give away or sell which is what we had done in the past. Never had a TV go dead on us because it always found a happy home. I had been keeping an eye on this particular TV for quite some time--Samsung UN85JU7100 - as, although not an SUHD which is what Samsung calls their UHDs with HDR (High Dynamic Range) -- it also does not carry the price tag of similarly-sized SUHDs. 4k content are few and far-between, and to enjoy true HDR, the source has to be coded with 4k and HDR. I have been scanning Netflix and Amazon Prime offerings and decided 4k HDR is not ready for Prime Time. I chose an UHD TV which will beautifully up-convert HD and standard definition content. My Oppo BDP-103d darbee edition player, while not able to play Native 4k titles, translates Blu-ray movies quite nicely. a happy 4k fan, Yoly P Handy from Vacaville, CA read more

Where to begin. First I brought in my TV on 11/23rd, The tec took a look and said it was the main board, quoted me $450, they took a $50 deposit and they said it would be 5-10 days. After two weeks I called and they said they would call me back and never did, called several days later and found out that the piece got in on the 4th (week and a half later) but it was the wrong piece and someone would call back with a new ETA.... Never got a call back and followed up to find out the TV was misdiagnosed and another part was on its way AND someone should have call me to let me know. I do not recommend this store and by the looks of the other reviews I am not the only one. I am now without my TV for over a month because of you WALT! Merry Christmas to me. read more

When that TV was damaged in shipment and refused by the home delivery carrier, Walt's TV had a replacement on the way the next day, which I received in perfect condition a few days later. Walt's just recently repaired my parent's TV. They carefully removed the broken unit, connected the "loaner" to their cable and home theater system and took their Samsung in for repair. This company has had my TV for over 7 weeks and counting now. Everytime that I call the company they make excuses as to where my TV is why it still isn't fixed etc. Each time that I have called and asked for someone to please call me back no one ever does! It's quite annoying how much there staff just doesn't care. They don't care about the customer, the experience, calling them back or anything for that matter. I called last week to check on the TV was told my parts came in and it was on the table being fixed. Later that afternoon I called for an update because surprise surprise no one called me back. At that time I was told by another employee that the part hasn't arrived yet to which I became extremly frustrated and hung up. Shortly after that I got a call back that the part actually had come in but was defective and they had to order another part. Now here we are a week later still no TV. I'm so over this company and the fact that it's been 7 weeks. Don't take your TV here it is a complete waste of time! read more

I know Walts TV through Bestbuy.com website. I called last Friday to ask for a Samsung TV 65 in advertised on Bestbuy website. I talked to Chris Shatto and he suggested me another model. I thought I had good deal with him. I also saw someone else have a good comment on him. Couple hours later, I check email and search on the model I just ordered (Chris email the receipt) and saw couple places on sales with better deal. I called back and Chris have left for the day. I talked to a manager and was told the order was placed couple hours ago and he could not cancel. I can either refuse the shipment or they will give me a little discount to keep it but they cannot match the price! The manager said he will leave Chris a note and he'll contact me on Monday. Chris care not to call me on Monday. When I call him in the afternoon, he left for the day. I called back on Tuesday and talked to him. He said that's the best deal and he is not going to give me any discount and I cannot return it. He threaten me that If I return, he'd charged $500 for shipping!!! He talked to me with a completely different voice and manner to last Friday when I placed the order! Come on man, we are living in the America, not Africa! Don't threaten me that I cannot return. I lost all trust in this store and I would not keep the TV, which I have bought extra 4 yr warranty. If he talked to me nicely and professionally, I might think to keep the TV. When the bulb on my 12-year old rear projection TV died for the second time, my first thought was to just replace it. I called around and found a local store that stocked the bulb I needed at Walt's TV and Repair on Ruby Drive in Tempe, AZ. They were close, so I drove straight there to purchase it. That's when I met Miles who had the new bulb sitting on his desk in the box ready for me to buy. But as we talked, he proceeded to explain to me (in great detail) why he thought that replacing the bulb was a bad idea. Now, I'm not a total dummy when it comes to home theater electronics, but when Miles started talking it was obvious he was way ahead of me in this area. I appreciated his technical expertise and willingness to be frank with me. I had to smile while we were talking as I realized he was literally talking me out of purchasing a $250 bulb. But that's Miles - his honesty was refreshing and needless to say we ended up discussing other options. I wasn't necessarily looking for a new TV at that time but he helped me find a gem of a unit that had been discounted because of a small scratch on the back, and I walked out with a heck of a deal on a new Samsung QLED with full factory warranty. Long story short, for the next week or so I ended up going back to Walt's TV half a dozen times in the process of upgrading my entire home theater system. Aside from the TV I ended up purchasing 2 subwoofers, a DVD player, and a new Pioneer receiver. Walt's is a great place to buy hardware, but the primary reason I now do all my electronics business with them is Miles. Great support before and after the sale and just a super nice guy! (To be fair every one I worked with at this location was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable). read more
