Went in with my 3 year old who only wanted scrambled eggs. the woman working there told me I had to pay for an ENTIRE burrito and was unwilling to contact anyone above her to ask about charging me for a side. She was incredibly unhelpful, refused to even ASK and told me I could call a number. I had already decided we were not coming back at all and I let her know that, and she was perfectly fine with that. I am gluten free and an entire burrito is completely useless to me. Ambiance was nice, the tropical decor was a nice change in scenery. Service was alright the employee wasn't very welcoming. Food wasn't the best, the steak was rubbery didn't even look like steak. The carnitas were good ! We also ordered a Diablo burrito tho not pictured here but was overly salty which made it hard to eat :(. Won't be coming back here anytime soon. read more

We gave up on this place a few years ago, but decided to try it again for lunch. The duro tacos are good. I am not sure they make when ordered as they were not as hot as a freshly hard shell tacos usually are. They came with chips and salsa. The guacamole is fresh and tasty. It is made with onions and tomatoes which we did enjoy. The staff was friendly. We stopped coming here in 2019 because we decided to stop spending our money and eateries that had poor customer service. We are happy to add this back into our lunch rotation as this place is within walking distance. There is plenty of parking in the lot however it is a busy shopping center. There is plenty of seating inside and outside and they do have restrooms. They also have a self serve salsa bar and soda fountain. read more

I had high hopes for Wanna Iguana, a local favorate but my experience was really disappointing. The restaurant itself was fine, colorful and fun, but the food was served cold, which completely ruined the meal. All three enchalada plates were uncooked and cold cheese inside. Mexican dishes should be full of warmth and flavor, but everything we ordered tasted bland and poorly prepared. The customer service didn't help, either. Service was unfriendly and acted like taking our order was a chore. There was no warmth, no hospitality--just an overall negative vibe. Sadly, Wanna Iguana missed the mark in every important way. Thought my scoop of chips was a little on the light side (compared to earlier visits), asked the woman behind the counter if she'd mind throwing a few more on. Was told that they charge for extra chips. Rolled my eyes and moved on. Made my way to the salsa station where there's a long sign guilting you about how many salsa cups people take vs much they're entitled to based on their meal. They can do whatever they'd like running a thin margin business. I'm sure it's not easy -- but I can choose to go somewhere else and not feel guilt tripped and nickeled and dimed. Raise prices if you need to (they already have recently), but let's take care of your customers. read more

I ordered a chicken quesadilla and it was crispy on one side and wet and soggy on the other. Toasting both sides of the tortillas takes an extra minute of your time but that requires that you care about the food you serve. Not worth the $18.75, I will not be back. read more

I really enjoy the food here. It's a neighborhood gem if you ask me. Inside is simple like a fast food restaurant with tables and chairs, but the decor is pleasant with a tropical feel from the beachy, jungle painted walls. I usually get the hard chicken taco, cheese enchillada combo. That way I get a little variety of food they offer. Both are very good and the tacos are nice and meaty. Entrees are served with beans and rice and chips. The people working here are always ready to go and friendly. They even bring your order to your table when it's ready. It's just the right blend of casual dining with good tasting food. Restroom is available as well as outdoor seating if you want to catch some air with your meal. read more

iwanna iguanna a dirty place if you really look around............gag! tasted like "ala...krapo"! chicken was hard and i swear to you i puked it "all" up in early the next morning time. sorry but i threw up 2 vegetable store baggies. i have a hard tummy...........but this was the 2nd. time it happened. i will "not" ever go back again. plus, they made their portions sizes a lot smaller. so cheap. that's not cool at all! to top it all off i saw a sweeper before it was put in the dust pan and there was" honest to god" a dead on it's back with a cockroach in with the sweepings that had not been picked p again! that did it! never again! if they don't clean it up people will call the health dept........that is it! i never write even 1 review but this took the cake..........sorry...but honesty is the best policy! read more

Tried a few things from them and they were all really subpar. There street tacos were horrendous. The steak and chicken were so over cooked that it tasted like rubber. I also tried there classic burrito which contained rice, beans, and cheese. The rice wasn't bad but the pinto beans were really bland and tasteless. My brother got the #7 combo of a taco and burrito with rice and refried beans and again the steak was charbroiled to all heck and back. The refried beans tasted like I imagined gruel tastes like. It was warm and lumpy with almost no flavor. The rice was literally the best part of are meals plus the pico de gallo salsa was fantastic but literally everything else was not good. read more

Wana Iguana and I have been have been having a love affair of the taste buds for at least 20 years. It became a quick staple for off campus lunches from VHS even before Decoro went all the way through - which was probably for the best. When I bought my first home, I think I subconsciously picked one that was close to Wana Iguana. Last minutes meals were a short phone call and drive away. Ask me to pick my favorite taco and I can't. I love how fresh the Taco Suave tastes, filled with chicken and dressed with a squeeze of lime from the salsa bar. But then there's the crispy delight of a Taco Duro with Beef dresses with whatever that magic red sauce is they put on it - what is it?! I've never asked. It's probably enchilada sauce. LOL After I moved out of state, I was pretty lucky to still be doing some work in town every couple of months that was just up the street. So Wana Iguana is still on the regular lunch rotation whenever I come home to visit. read more
