Is this place open? I have called a couple days now and no one answers.

Hi. So sorry about this. I don't normally use Yelp. My preferred method is Instagram. Please take a look at my Instagram page and send me a message. Thank you so much 😊…

Is this small business still in operation? I'm Puerto Rican and I'd love to find a source for food that I don't have time to make myself.

Does Wanda's offer any vegetarian empanadas? Is there an official menu that can go up on yelp? Thank you

Hello. Currently I make cheese empanadas or cheese pizza filling empanadas. I'm working on adding more vegetarian empanada soon.…

As my friend and I made a final brewery stop at Duck Foot Brewing before heading home, thank goodness for AntoYitos Borincanos Food Truck since the brewery didn't serve food nor had any snacks for sale. Being a born-and-bred Angeleno, I grew up in the food cart/truck and street vendor culture, so I always appreciated and supported the strong work effort it took for these individuals to somehow make a living. Would I enjoy the Puerto Rican heritage cuisine prepared in remembrance of "Yito"!? QUICK BIO Founded by two sisters, Jennifer and Nadeshka Roman - both born in Puerto Rico. They were raised in Camuy, where they constantly watched their father do what he was so passionate about: cooking. He became a chef and had many dreams and goals yet to fulfill. Sadly, he passed away in 2006; and although they were just young girls at the time, they have always remembered his passion for the culinary arts. In his memory, they decided to name their business AntoYitos Borincanos--"Yito" being his nickname. The company's logo symbolized their roots and their father's greatest passions. PURCHASE(S) 7pc Amarillos ($5.00): A handful of fried plump semi-caramelized sweet plantains, these were a "healthy" snack while I guzzled my beer. Honestly, I loved plantains in general (especially in sliced chip form), and these came in hot and steamy. A perfect budget-friendly snack I'd consistently buy if it were available at all breweries. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=-C4PHYXKrfqTL-Y0PmV6Cg Cheese Pastelillos ($4.00 x2): A crispy flaky stuffed turnover with your choice of cheese, chicken, ground beef, or pizza, these were the size of my palm, loaded, and piping hot as steam exploded out when I tore a corner off. Plenty of thick white cheese initially oozed out like lava and then coagulated as it got exposed to air. A simple tasty morsel to help absorb alcohol. Another perfect inexpensive snack food for a brewery. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=_s6yGADKr64XVxVVt5l38g Service Fee 3.00% ($0.39): C'est la vie; small businesses need to try and pass along added expenses when they could. SERVICE I was warmly greeted by an affable young woman who easily and quickly took my order. I wasn't given a number or buzzer but told to return in about ten minutes later. Once I came back, she was just packing everything for me. Todo estaba bien - muchas gracias! PARKING (FREE): Being a food truck, they were at the beck and call wherever they were at the time. In this case, they were at Duck Foot Brewing with plenty of parking lot spaces available within an industrial park work area - 'nuff said! ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Your standard self-sufficient catering/food truck/pop-up tent with a printed food menu https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=g3FiBpe71zyQEYo_i2XehA on the side of the truck where you placed/picked-up your order, no area for condiments, napkins, and utensils (they supplied these if needed to alleviate waste) nor designated seating area except for the ample outdoor and indoor seating provided by the brewery, and natural lighting was prevalent during the daytime while minimal electric street and tent lighting glowed at night. There weren't any TVs or background music. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=gsz7glcLDDeVANG6p0bl8Q ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL AntoYitos Borincanos Food Truck satisfied a need, and I would consider them again. My only fear would be their limited menu although I imagined they changed it up from time to time. The prices were relatively reasonable, the food and portion sizes were very good, and the service was easy, friendly, and straightforward. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $14.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice...AMEX! 4.0 STARS

They cook everything to order so it might take a little longer than expected, especially with the fried food. The food was very delicious and flavorful (a little salty but I loved it). I visit Havana Grill whenever I want some tasty oxtail.  I noticed oxtail was one of the specials.  Last time I visited the oxtail was on the regular menu and you could order it anytime. Oxtail was extremely tender and juicy.  The mix of beef flavor and the spices in the sauce were delicious.  This is my favorite oxtail dish in town. French fries were crisp and had a delicious fried flavor.  The oil was fresh and there was no aftertaste.  Excellent fries. Pineapple upside down cake was dense and did not have a fresh baked aura.  The outside part was starting to harden like it was getting stale so I guess it was baked at least a day ago.  Cake had a mostly mild flavor.  I didn't taste the pineapple though the top was lined with it.  I did taste a ton of ginger flavor.  It appears pieces of ginger were mixed in with the pineapple.  I love ginger as part of soy/ginger seasoning for fish but not in a cake.  This is one of the worst pineapple upside down cakes I have had.  My favorite is at Roy's where you have to give them 30 minute notice and they bake it to order.  Roy's version was piping hot out of the oven, was moist and fluffy, with amazing pineapple flavor. Staff provided fast and friendly service.

He ordered his usual, a Cuban sandwich and I decided to go with the Pan Con Lechon. And for an extra treat, I got a stuffed potato ball with the beef filling. I thought the portion of the sandwiches was a good size! I only had room for a quarter of my sandwich. My bf only ate half, which is surprising because he always has an appetite! Or... maybe he just wanted to enjoy the other half later for dinner lol. I will say, the sandwiches are perfectly pressed and came out freshly hot. My sandwich specifically was just shredded pork. It seemed more on the dry side? I'm not sure if that is how it is supposed to be. It's still good and I still ate everything, I think I enjoyed it more later on in the day after reheating it, haha. Which, is a good sign It comes with fries and a container of the green sauce. I was a little bummed that it came with French fries and not Yucca fries not sure if we have to specifically ask for that. But only thought we would get Yucca fries because of the pictures outside the window. I also feel like one container of the green sauce is only enough for maybe half the sandwich. It's so good, wish it came with more sauce. I have no complaints regarding the potato ball. 5/5 for me! There are tables outside the shop if you wanted to eat there. Would I come back to this spot? Absolutely! I would love to try the other items on the menu such as their pastries! Next time I am back in Chula Vista, I may have to make a stop to pick up some goodies. Also, the young lady running the counter, you have terrific customer service.

Highly recommend getting trying their empanadas. Definitely will be a crowd pleaser at parties :)

After this I decided to cancel my subscription as a whole, where I was assured I wouldn't be charged again, but I was still charged. I reached out to the owner and he was pretty hostile. See attached images.. They also claim their meals are GF but I'm pretty sure we found gluten in one of them.m Update for everyone: Jeff is lying. I had contacted him multiple times and he kept forgetting. He is very disorganized and hostile when you message him. Also Jeff, I had frozen the meals buddy.. Then I spoke with health officials first, and then contacted you once we had a case. I'm not sure what's going on in your personal life but I've never seen a business owner get so angry over a customer trying to cancel their subscription.
