I have been here once and not eager to return. Service was so so as my friend and I both had to ask for refills of our beverages. I have to eat gluten free and the bun for my sandwich just crumbled to pieces every time it was touched. This was not appealing and it was also very dry. The menu said the turkey was home cooked/roasted, but it was just like lunchmeat you would buy at the store. All in all, it was an expensive sandwich priced at $16 and only came with kettle chips( quite sure they were out of a bag and not cooked there). read more

Perfect morning stop on our quick road trip from Rockaway Beach to Seaside. They had all the goodies - cookies, coffee cake, pastries, coffee, tea, etc. The longer I waited in line for the lady in front of me, the more goodies I ended up getting - ginger cookie, toffee mocha cookie, pumpkin coffee cake, coffee scone. Got there just before opening and there was already people in line to get in. Fortunately our wait was not long. Once seated we were have a hard time deciding on what to eat since everything looked delicious...I had a basic 2 egg breakfast with bacon,potatoes and a biscuit.. added a side of gravy ... cleaned the whole plate !!! We have been traveling to the coast for over 25 years. Needless to say several restaurants struggle to find staff much less serve good food. Hands down Wanda's nails it. It's clockwork how they move efficiently to set, and or clean up tables for the next customers. Fantastic food and the best service I've seen anywhere. I came here for breakfast and the food was great. I love the gift shop as well. The line / wait fir a table was quite long, about 45 min when we checked in which seemed pretty crazy to me for such a small town but I guess during the summer months it gets busier. They new how to make a good iced matcha as well which is hard to find out here at the coast. I will be back but prob on a weedday during the not so busy hours. read more

Best brunch I've had in a long time! There was a small wait when we got there so we were able to hang out on the front patio and drink a bloody mary while listening to great soundtrack of vintage female performers. We were seated and had the sweetest server who was so attentive. I ordered a Smoked salmon omelet which was absolutely delicious (it has some kind of magical dill sauce on it) and it came with the most amazing homemade English muffin. Husband had the Nehalam omlete and he said it was delicious. From the service to the quality of the food, everything was fantastic. Can't wait to come back next time we come to the coast. read more

What a great hidden gem in Nehalem. My partner and I had a weekend in Manzanita to explore the coast. I looked for breakfast options and Wanda's had great reviews and was just a couple of miles away from where we were staying. Wanda's is just off the main road sitting on the corner. You are immediately impressed by the buzz of activity and happy customers talking. We were warmly greeted and had a seat in seconds. They have both indoor and covered patio dining. We sat inside, I had a latte to start and a warmed up muffin that we selected when we walked in. The staff is welcoming and attentive. The food is delicious and nicely positioned. We have been back three times, most recently driving back to the coast while the carpet was being replaced at home. If you are the coast near Manzanita it will be worth your time to stop at Wanda's for some local hospitality and great food. read more

It was hot and original and excellent. The special was excellent as well! Food came out fast. Loved the decor and atmosphere. Really disappointed. Came for my birthday lunch a 2:07 and despite other people eating in the dining room, we were told we wouldn't be seated, even though they close at 3pm. It's not like we came at 2:45??? We Drove 40 min only to be treated like crap. Really not a good experience. ***Yeah thanks for the passive aggressive response. I left out the fact you were rude af about it. You didn't say anything like that to us. You were just like nope, we aren't serving and walked us to the door. I've been coming to Wanda's Cafe for 10+ years now and I am never disappointed. Great food, great customer service, and with the remodel, great decorations. There is usually a 30 minute wait, but the outdoor seating in front and eventual delicious food is well worth it. This past time my friends and I visited we ordered the Smoked Salmon Omelette, Beachcomber, Sourdough Toast, and Cinnamon French Toast. Everything was so tasty and we finished each plate. We really enjoyed our first experience at Wanda's Cafe & Bakery! The vibe and ambiance is very cute! The outdoor area is nice to wait in, even when it was cold and rainy, since it's mostly covered, they having some seating, music and lovely little heaters! Once we were seated, we treated ourselves to the delicious cinnamon rolls (comes with 4), so we ate two and took two home with us, and ordered our breakfast. The décor inside is very well done, and the food came fast. We do wish our potatoes had been crispier, they were a bit boring and bland, but the benedict and biscuits and gravy were delicious. Everything about this space is clean and pristine, and although busy, it was worth the wait. We were glad we stopped in, and can't wait for our next visit! The owner checked us in and he was quite lovely to chat with while we waited. It's nice having an updated and delicious place to go to on the Oregon Coast, since so many places have become so run-down, grime-y and just overall sad. This place gives a pep to this small coastal town and I hope they can spread that updated charm to other local spots in nearby Rockaway, Garibaldi and Wheeler. read more

Absolutely delightful! We are vacationing in Rockaway Beach from Georgia and found Wanda's completely by accident. Oh what a happy accident!!! From the moment we stepped in the door, I knew I had found my breakfast happy place and there was nothing about our visit to even kind of disappoint us on either of our 2 trips. Our servers both times were kind, knowledgeable, attentive and seemed genuinely happy to be there and happy that we were there too. The food was absolutely perfect both times. Even though there are so many other menu items we wanted to try, my husband and I both had Cinnamon French Toast with maple syrup and bacon on both trips. Just superb! The coffee was perfect and our servers never allowed our cups to fall empty. Everyone there, customers included, made these experiences even better and the new decor was cozy and inviting. Adding to the cozy feels, we also spoke with Frank on both visits about how miserable Southern summers can be, how amazing the Oregon coast is, our dining experience, the history of Wanda's and even a little about Weezer We're planning to eat at Wanda's again before we leave and I can't wait! We were escorted to our table in an empty back room, and seated next to an air conditioning unit. We immediately asked another waitress who walked by if there was another table available. She gave us a nice table in the main dining area, and there were other tables available. It was clear that the man in black at the "gate" was the one directing table selection, and it is not clear why he would do this to us. The waitress was great and the food was very good. read more

The patio is nice to wait for your table to become available, and they have self-serve coffee and cornhole outside! And the food?!?! Amazing!!! Everything we had was delicious!! My family ate here on the recommendation of a friend who travels internationally and raves about this place. We were on the last day of a 10-day stay in Portland, Crater Lake, and Manzanita and this was easily the best meal and restaurant experience of the trip. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and professional and on the ball. Since the pandemic it seems rare to find a restaurant that is fully and competently staffed, but Wanda's was--from the charming greeter to the wait staff to the cashier. And they weren't just competent, they were great. We genuinely enjoyed the people. Our party of six ordered six different entrees and each was delicious. I liked the coffee better than my own, which is a big compliment. The clam chowder was thick, rich, and flavorful. The green chile omelette hit the spot and held up well against the best I've had in Texas and New Mexico, although the style is a little different. I normally skip breakfast potatoes, but I ordered them here on a hunch they'd be worth it. I was glad I did. If I'm lucky enough to make it back to this area I will make it a point to eat at Wanda's again. In the meantime, I'll recommend it to friends and share the word with others like you. On Saturday we stopped into the bakery and brought home one of their signature giant cinnamon rolls - it was amazing! The frosting was a little sweet but ah-ma-zing cinnamon flavor. The nice thing about it being so big was our family of four got to share it all day. We also go delicious mochas, Steamers for the kids and a gingerbread scone - all excellent and the drinks came quickly given how busy they were. The next day we went back for breakfast. The wait was on the long side - about an hour - but the food and service were excellent, friendly and attentive staff, and a fun atmosphere. We will be back! read more
