I say this because I tried the almond danish on my first visit and it is so delicately delicious I have never found a need to venture beyond that taste treat. I often get breakfast and then bring the pastry (which is huge) with me to nibble on, and put a smile on my face, all day - & it stays fresh! They have a limited lunch and breakfast menu. However, I find it has significant enough variety that me and my guests have never had a problem finding something to enjoy. I have had breakfast there, never lunch. I find what I have eaten reliably tasty, but it does not rock. For the food I would put it in the low 4 category, pastry an absolute 5. Coffee blows away the chain coffee shops and I find it very tasty, not bitter. They do all the fancy drinks and they execute the one I always get - cappuccino - extremely well. My one bit of advice is to ask for the coffee in a mug if you are having it to stay because otherwise it will be served to you in a paper cup. I find paper cups cramp the froth into a small area and ALSO blocks your nose from getting a good whiff of that awesome coffee smell. Smelling is a huge part of taste - so do not forget the ask - there is no up charge for the real mug. Plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating with variety in the indoor, ranging from a very large, family style, round table in the middle of the room, to bars at the windows and tables throughout - with plenty of spacing. The outdoor seating is behind the roastery and consists of wooden picnic tables. This is complimented with an extremely unique and , obviously, cared for garden with a variety of flowers and evergreens. Finally, the service. One orders at the counter where my only experience has been one of patience, informative and courteous order takers. You then find a seat or you can wait for your order at the counter. The coffee is prepared immediately and, I have found, the food is prepared efficiently. I have nothing but very positive interactions with staff. Do note that they have a drive up window as well. Located directly across from the Tillamook Creamery: extremely convenient if accessing the Coast thru Tillamook. All in, I would rate Five Rivers about a 4.5 - Enjoy the experience!

Ok, We have been coming to Wanda's for awhile now. We move back and forth from Oregon to Colorado but we are currently in Oregon now. I love Wandas. They have great food and I always order something different everytime. The food always taste fresh and hot! My husband gets the Chicken sausage everytime. No matter what else he orders he gets a side of Chicken sausage and wont share it with me. Its that good. It can get pretty busy there so you might have to wait a little for your food to come out. I get one of the Key Lime bars at the counter and eat a little with my cup of coffee. Good coffee and they serve it with cream not milk. A shout out to Melissa who always remembers us and knows my hubby needs mustard with his sausage. She is really nice and has a great personality and smile no matter how busy the place is. We had some decent eggs benedict here in the past... We returned 2 years later, on;y this time we arrived a half hour before closing time (1:30pm) and they turned us away, because they said they have lives outside of work. The closing time is posted as 2pm. If you want to close at 1:30, then list 1:30. We felt like Wandas has gained a small following and somehow thinks they can take once loyal customers for granted. Hey Wanda... if you think some tasty eggs benedict will allow you to treat your customers like a burden, then you will find out really fast how unloyal your customers can be. Love the redone look of the exterior and interior. It's modern comfort and clean while preserving the original comfort food menu that makes this place so popular. My friend and I enjoyed the meatloaf sandwich and the grilled turkey on rye. The chips served with the lunches are tasty and ample too. No skimping on portions here. The meals are quite good but the pastries...!!! They're amazing and the owners know it and put them on display right next to the door. If you can walk out of Wanda's without getting one you have amazing will power. I'm glad to see Wanda's is now offering dinner too. We'll be back to try that as well! read more

Literally some of the best hospitality and food ever! I ended up staying at Wanda's for the better part of a day while waiting for a friends bike to get fixed. The food was amazing, and the decor was super cool. But, what really made the experience for us was the owner; He was extremely kind, and let us camp out in back while waiting. He checked up on us frequently to make sure we were set on food/water/supplies. I wish I had something on my bike to offer as a gift! Thanks for everything Frank! read more

Wanda's Café in Nehalem is an absolute gem! The service is warm and welcoming from the moment you walk in, making you feel right at home.
