Diner style breakfast place that's pretty popular. We waited about 1/2 hour for a table on a weekday. We've certainly waited much longer at places in PDX, so it didn't feel like an excessively long time. There's also coffee you can grab and some heaters outside while you wait. It's kind of a grungy place, but we eat at plenty of hole in the wall brunch places in Portland so it felt like any other diner. It was a little uncomfortable, as the restaurant was kind of cold inside, so it wasn't the most pleasant of dining experiences. As for the food, my French toast was soggy, and the egg it was dipped into became cooked giving it that unpleasant eggy flavor. My mother in law ordered an omelette, which was pretty tasty. Clearly I ordered the wrong thing, but between the cold restaurant, lukewarm coffee, meh french toast, this place is a pass for me. read more

We have enjoyed Wanda's for years and are delighted by the changes implemented by the current owners. They have maintained the charm of the original while adding and improving. The staff is extremely well-trained and friendly, and the owner/manager is hands on - from greeting you at the door to busing dishes from the table. The food is consistently delicious. We have enjoyed the Benedict, the Breakfast Sandwich, the Waffle, Omelets, but don't miss the yummy scones and bread from their outstanding baker. Their cinnamon rolls are epic. Fun covid conscious spot to eat, great atmosphere and decor, and the breakfast food is amazing! We were able to snag outdoor seating, covered to avoid the rain, and had a fantastic time. We had the LEGENDARY huevos rancheros (the flavor melts in your mouth and the tortilla is essential), and the french toast (buttery and fried, but so nice and gooey on the inside). We found this place a few days go, while staying in town. What my group and I thought would be a nice average breakfast, turned into being the best place I have been to in OR. This is the MUST STOP on a road trip. Even if it's just to order some of their delicious coffee. I had the Carmel cappuccino all three days it was so good. The food was absolutely perfect. I got the jalapeño biscuits and gravy. I have never tasted anything so savory, so melt in your mouth goodness. We went here aLl 3 days of our stay. This won't be any cafe you forget in a week. I've been to coffee shops in many different countries, and Wanda's is by far my favorite. The quality of the coffee, pastries, and food is top notch. My only regret is that it's a two-hour drive from where I live in Portland. Whenever I visit Manzanita- my favorite place on the Oregon Coast- a trip to Wanda's is always on my list. Service and ambiance was good but the food... I was excited to try it out but the quesadilla was fine not super good. What really brings down the review is the pastries I bought. They were not very good and dry. I also found small metal pieces in my brownie and had to toss it out. When considering I found metal in my brownie, this review feels generous. read more

I ordered a side of sausage when the meal was delivered, came in a reasonable amount of time and didn't mind at all, but the waitress took it off the bill just to be extra accommodating. I'll keep this short. My group ordered traditional bennies, cinnamon French toast and pork patty sausage. It was all devoured to fast to take pics. It was best breakfast I've had on the coast in as long as I can remember and the other three agreed. Portions were great and food was well cooked from the eggs and ham to the juicy pork patty sausage. Highly recommend this place for breakfast. Going to try lunch and dinner soon but breakfast set the bar pretty high! Also they had more types of scones in there than I had ever seen before with some other baked goods throughout. This is still one of my favorite breakfast places. So much so that I will roust my family from their cosy beach house beds bleary eyed and crabby so we can get there early. Princess " Moooooo-oooom I wanna sleep." Too bad. I managed to get us there by 9:15 and we only waited maybe 15 minutes. I am sooo good. Course I thought it was in Wheeler....its Nehalem btw. Ooops. Did I mention people were crabby? They recovered though. Espresso cures all for my family. It is an addiction but its a functional addiction. We got the yellow formica table by the genie, his green lamp, television fireplace and magic eightballl. Princess was especially happy about the latter. Food arrived quickly. Service was good, not overly friendly but polite and nice. Food? All yummy. Hubby said his french toast was a little dense. I want to point out that the bread was homemade. Homemade bread tends to be denser I think. Princess' omelet was $12. She is 10. She has some spendy preferences. Her salmon fixation did it this time. But it was proportioned on the small side so she ate all of it. I do wish they had a kid's menu but could see how if you had two younger kids they could share. Our total bill was just over $42. A lot for breakfast maybe, but it's the coast after all. Beware the yummy baked goods at the register they will get you. We bought six for later. Wanda's rocks. read more

SO GOOD!! Oh my gosh, I have been to many a breakfast spots, and this has got to be one of the best. The eggs Benedict was INCREDIBLE. Best I've ever had, easy. The hollaindase was complete heaven, the eggs were perfectly poached, and those POTATOES! I was expecting the run of the mill breakfast potatoes - no, these are crispy and flavorful and oniony and I ate every bite. Our waitress was incredibly nice, and my partners breakfast was amazing as well. Also ordered an espresso that was great. Super cute vibe and ambiance, love the decor. Can't say enough great things about this place!! You've got to check it out if your out at the coast. May have to stop one more time before heading out of town. read more

A friend said not to miss this place while on our Memorial Day weekend in Manzanita - and she was right! One of the best restaurant breakfasts I've had. My cinnamon French toast was fluffy in the middle and chewy on the edges - just right. The real maple syrup, available as a $2 add-on and served in an airline-style liquor bottle, was well worth the investment (especially considering the overall low prices - we spent about $80 total for a family of five). My husband's smoked salmon omelet had a generous amount of salmon and smelled delicious. Our son loved his breakfast sandwich. I only wish our busy vacation schedule had allowed us to eat here a second time during this trip. read more

Stopped in for the first time on a weekday for a quick business lunch. Polite and friendly staff seated us within a matter of minutes. While we waited, we all eyed the tempting bakery case but decided to wait till after lunch. A big shoutout to Megan who waited our table. She was par excellence, friendly, upbeat, attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, offered great suggestions for all three of us. A friend ordered the Hungarian Soup special with a side of a GF bun, another had the Big Burger, and I had the smoked salmon omelette with a side of fruit and GF toast. Food was freshly prepared and tasted great. The atmosphere is cozy, with a homey decor and plenty of knick knacks on the walls, even pictures on the ceiling. Noise level was not high, even though all tables were occupied, so it was easy to carry on a conversation. We left satisfied. My dad and I came down from Portland for the week and are staying in Manzanita. We found Wanda's after the local breakfast spot in Manzanita was closed. Our whole experience at Wanda's was great, even with the COVID-related restrictions. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Even though the only seating was outside and it was fairly cold out, the patio was well heated. The food was served "to go" style, but both my dad and I were extremely satisfied with our meals. I had the tofu scramble - hot, well seasoned, and delicious. He had a classic eggs & bacon - the bacon was perfectly "crisp," just like he asked. I wouldn't be surprised if we come back for lunch before we had back to the city. The restaurant is super duper cute with an option of outdoor seating which has a unique set up. The service was amazing. The food was amazing. You could even throw in some bakery items or a magnet, sticker, or cork board trucker hat with a Sasquatch or two. What more in life do you need? I gave the eggs Florentine two thumbs up and my son got the breakfast quesadilla. Excellent choices in my books. The coffee is better than most. I was able to get takeout here while visiting the coast. The food was good! They have a variety of fresh baked goods; I tried the espresso/coffee chocolate chip scone which really hit the spot. They're latte was also legit. You can tell it was made with good coffee and was not too overly sugary. They also have a good variety of substitute milk. I would definitely recommend and come back!
