My friend took me here for dessert after having lunch close by last Sunday 5/24/26. It was my first time here and I was impressed with the clean and tidy layout. There was only one employee at the moment taking care of the customers. He was a young man who worked quick and efficient. When it came to our turn he politely asked if we had any questions and then if not what would we like. My friend went with the 3 scoop option but I don't remember which flavors he got. I got the Vietnamese Rocky Road Milkshake. Which tasted like vietnamese coffee with ice cream. It was thick so I had to be patient in letting it melt a bit before drinking. It was really good! Came on a Wednesday with no customers inside, the girl working was really nice as well. She offered us a sample for the flavor we were looking to try. I opted for a shake with the mango sticky rice flavor and it was good! My bf got one scoop of the pandan and while that flavor was good, we didn't really taste a pandan flavor. After having Pho, my boys and I needed to clear our palate by getting something sweet. We found this creamery on Yelp. The creamery is clean, and pretty big but empty inside without any tables for customers. They should have a few small tables for 2 as I dont think that would take up space. There is 1 staff working and a customer in front of us. They let us go first as they didn't know what they wanted. We tried a few flavors and ordered the following: 1. Passionfruit Cacao immediately got my liking. A soft icecream with a tarty passionfruit flavor although I didn't taste any hint of cacao at all. A tad sweet for me but it was very good. I got a scoop in an ube waffle cone. The cone was thick and very fresh. Overall? I enjoyed it greatly. 2. Kinder 3. Smoky Road and Palo Santo Mint Chip on a waffle cone: my 10yo says it's good and it's the best icecream he has. 4. Wanderlust Vanilla & Passionfruit Cacao on a waffle cone: my 12yo liked it alot but he really likes the passionfruit cacao. This location is the one "closest" to me so it's the one I frequent. It is conveniently located nearby lots of great food establishments so coming for ice cream is a no brainer. The cones are yummy! There normally is a large crowd lined up outside but maybe less people are eating ice cream during winter? The store walks up to the ice cream cooler where you can sample their flavors. I was gravely disappointed to learn that they no longer do split scoops and I couldn't order 2 kids scoops together. I've been doing split scoops for so long so I was really bummed to not be able to do that anymore. The staff were nice and apologetic but it was still a bummer. My fave flavors are their ube malted crunch and pandan tres leches on an original cone. I try to get their seasonal or new flavors but often gravitate towards my faves. The black sesame and Oreo ice cream was amazingly delicious! The nuttiness of the black sesame paired perfectly with the chocolatey Oreo bits. The Kinder was also yummy! Wanderlust is the epitome of creating flavors centered around travel and they do not disappoint. The majority of the flavors are year round and there's usually about 5 monthly specials. More often than not, the flavors are unique and hard to find elsewhere. For this visit, I went with split single scoops of the chai churros and malai milk and pandan rafaello. The spiced churro pieces reminded me of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal and paired well with the milkiness of the flavor. I also like texture and crunch and the pandan was perfect with almond and shredded coconut. There's also a unique ube cone people should try at least once in their life! Great ice cream and unique flavors! I was recently in this shopping center for an Elite event at Curry Do which is like 3 doors down from Wanderlust. After having lunch, I was in the mood for dessert so I stopped by Wanderlust and it was delicious! I will admit that there was no one working the counter as the staff was doing something in the back so I waited for about 5 minutes before someone came out. But that was the only super minor inconvenience about this place. Nothing that I would hold against them. Once she came out, she was all smiles and it only added to the positive vibes I got from this place. As far as the ice cream goes, I love that they have small portions here because I find that many ice cream places give you too large of a cup/cone for what you need/want. I also love the flavors available here. After taste testing a couple flavors, I ultimately decided to order their special collaboration flavor that they're currently doing with H&M (yes the clothing company you see in malls). Kind of an odd collaboration in my opinion, but I'm here for it if it means I get to have Honey and Malt flavored ice cream. I loved this place and would definitely come back here again next time I'm in Costa Mesa and craving some good ice cream. read more

I ended up ordering a "split scoop" ($7.00) of the Thai Tea with Boba and the Black Sesame Cookies and Cream. Both flavors were enjoyable although I didn't get much "cookies and cream" in the Black Sesame C&C as it tasted more just like black sesame. Service was prompt and I was able to sample a couple flavors before making my decision. Wanderlust is located in an older strip mall where parking was plentiful around noon of the weekend. As a note, there is no indoor or outdoor dining at Wanderlust so you so you do have to eat your ice cream on the go or standing up. read more

I've been to this business a few times and all of the ice cream flavors I've tried have been really good. Every time I've been here it hasn't been crowded at all. So very convenient since I work down the street at the hospital and I can even use my lunch break to go here.
