April 24, 2026 | Pasadena | After seeing a movie nearby at iPic, my friend, and I walked over to Wanderlust Creamery! Ice cream hit the spot on a beautiful and sunny day!! Kinder | I absolutely love Kinder chocolate, so this was a plus in a rich chocolate, flavorful way! Ube Malted | I'm always up for flavorful Ube; sweet purple yams and was blended with malted milk, so delicious, loved it! Mix It Up | Yum! Since I got two scoops in a small cup, I blended them in the cup until it was nice & smooth! What an absolutely delicious combo! Inside | There are large murals on the wall in beautiful pastel colors displaying travel destinations & scenery! Also travel books and travel themed items around! The destinations that caught my eye were: Thailand & India, both which I've traveled to and loved! Customer Service | Thanks for the samples. Overall | Yes, please! Ice cream is always a great idea, especially when there are often new, unique and flavorful combinations! Let's go!
I was greeted with friendly service who is happy to help with as many samples as you need. All of the flavors are SPOT ON to their description/inspiration and I love that so many of them are Asian inspired. In my most recent trip I tried their black sesame, Japanese Neapolitan, blueberry elderflower, and sticky rice and mango. I couldn't choose between them because they were all so good. By memory their waffle cones were decent. My only note is that they do not allow for split flavors (although they do have a tasting trio). As someone who is indecisive or likes to have at least 2 flavors, this is a bit of a menu miss for me.
Unique Asian-inspired flavors that really stand out Tried the Ube Malted Crunch® and pandan tres leches from Wanderlust Creamery and both flavors were memorable. The Ube Malted Crunch® definitely lived up to the hype. It was creamy, rich, and had that slightly nutty vanilla-like ube flavor with crunchy malted bits that added a really fun texture. You can see why it's their signature flavor. The pandan tres leches was also interesting and unique. It's light, creamy, and fragrant with a subtle pandan flavor that felt refreshing rather than overly sweet. It had a soft, milky dessert vibe that worked really well as ice cream. Service was friendly and patient while letting us sample flavors, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The vibe is modern, trendy, and fun, with lots of creative flavors inspired by different cultures and desserts around the world. Definitely feels like more than just a typical ice cream shop. Would absolutely come back to try more seasonal and specialty flavors next time.
I just picked up my pizza order from Prince Street Pizza in Old Town Pasadena. I saw Wanderlust Creamery right next door inside Indiana Colony Marketplace. I'm a sucker for ice cream. I had to walk through the front doors. I remember trying durian from Wanderlust at a past event. That's what I was looking for, but they didn't carry it at the time. They offer globally inspired and unique ice creams flavors such as Sticky Rice & Mango, Ube Malted Crunch, Japanese Neapolitan, Sakura Crunch, and more. I got to try a couple free samples, Inis Mor and Sakura Crunch. I will have to return to try their other intriguing flavors. I wanted to get half and half of two flavors for the one scoop, but it was not an option unfortunately. I ended up getting one single scoop of Sakura Crunch for $7.50. It is a cherry blossom ice cream with matcha & strawberry "kit kats". Very light, smooth, and floral in taste. Strawberry kit kats was a nice add-in topping. I found out they make the kit kats in house. Cool! Staff was okay. Service was quick. Portion was decent. Price was fair. Plenty of inside seating shared with the other local, independent food vendors within the marketplace. Parking can be found on the streets or at nearby parking garages. Highly recommend in giving Wanderlust a try if you haven't already. You may find your new favorite ice cream flavor right here at Wanderlust. Enjoy!
I went to Wanderlust Creamery Ice Cream after I had a nice dinner in a nearby restaurant. It was a cold night, but It was really fun to have ice cream. We stopped by Wanderlust Creamery shop. It is located in Old Town Pasadena. The shop has inviting and aesthetic vibes. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The shop has unique ice cream flavors like; Beurre Noisette cookie dough, ube malted crunch, mango sticky rice, Kinder, sesame cookie, Wanderlust vanilla, Japanese Neapolitan, pandan tres Leches, to mention a few.They also have seasonal flavors as well as vegan options. I ordered tasting trio with Kinder, black sesame cookies and cream, and beurre noisette cookie dough. I enjoyed the flavors I got. It was silky, creamy with perfect texture. I will be back to try more of their unique flavors.
I can't believe they've got the Shanghainese White Rabbit flavor . All the red hearts!!!!! So creamy and amazing. The service today was kind of meh the staff was awkward... feeling more like I stopped him from chatting with the staff from pressed juice But guess what, the ice cream is way too great. No time for awkward lol The seat was nice. The environment was pretty nice for a weekday. Highly recommend the new flavor!
My absolute favorite ice cream spot. There are not a lot of seats, small area, and definitely feels like "to-go" ordering but that's not too bad in the heart of Downtown Pasadena. The staff is always friendly and they do sell lactose pills/chocolates for those who need it. Favroties: Ube Crunch, Pandan Tres Leches, and Alfajor.
They don't do split scoops, but they do do a tasting trip. So I asked the worker if I can get the tasting trio but just 2 scoops. I asked if they can give me one less scoop and I'll still pay the same price, because I didn't want that much ice cream. But the worker insisted that that's not allowed, and I NEED to get three flavors with the tasting trio or just get the double scoop (which is $1.25 more). That was so frustrating because I literally wanted LESS ice cream for the same price, instead, I got the tasting trio, got 3 flavors, and just threw away the top scoop, when that ice cream could've stayed in the tub. I hope management can change this policy.
Wanderlust Creamery really knows what they're doing. They are getting it right! Creative, fun, delicious, and innovative flavors! The Pasadena location is inside of a tiny food market hall. The menu is on the smaller side which is great because it isn't overwhelming but there is still something for everyone. I got one scoop of the Japanese Neapolitan flavor which included a blend of matcha, hojicha and black sesame. Though I've had Asian inspired flavors before, I've never had a flavor like this one. The ice cream was incredibly smooth and creamy, and not to sweet. Will be back here for sure to try other flavors like sticky rice + mango and passionfruit cacao.
The flavors -Taiwanese Treasure Bowl, Lilikoi LiHing Pineapple, Palo Santo Mint Chip- I selected definitely had my tastebuds wandering! I wish I brought my cooler to bring these back, especially the TTB. I do wish there were better seating inside to accommodate both small and larger groups. Regardless, I have flagged this creamery because I will definitely return and will make sure to recommend to anyone I know that'll be in the area.
There's something about wandering Old Town on a Friday night that makes dessert feel less optional and more necessary. We stopped by Wanderlust Creamery after dinner, mostly just following the foot traffic and the hum of the evening crowd. I've been to their Atwater location before, so I walked in half expecting that same wide board of rotating flavors. This Pasadena shop felt noticeably more pared down, especially for a weekend night. I went with two scoops of the Ube Malted Crunch. The ube base was smooth and creamy with that mellow, nutty sweetness that doesn't overwhelm. It wasn't overly sugary, which I appreciated after a full meal. The malted crunch pieces added texture without turning it into a jaw workout, just enough crisp contrast to keep each bite interesting. That said, the limited selection was a little surprising. Compared to Atwater, the variety here felt tight, and if you're someone who likes to sample a lot before deciding, your options might feel constrained. Service was quick and efficient. We were in and out without much waiting, even with the Friday night flow. Overall, it's still a solid dessert stop if you're already in Old Town and want something reliable. Just do not come expecting the same breadth of flavors as other locations. It helps to have a backup choice in mind before you get to the counter.

Wanderlust came to fruition & inspired from Adrienne's travels, & the flavors are reflected as such. I hit the jackpot with the Blueberry Elderflower, Sakura Crunch, & Yuzu Creamsicle! My husband is Swedish so Blueberry Elderfloweer really hits the spot & reminds me of our travels to Sweden... with sweet, rich mascarpone ice cream that's perfectly balanced with blueberry jam & enhanced by the elderberry cordial that's adds depth of rich fruitiness & tartness. Sakura Crunch & Yuzu Creamsicle are Japan-inspired flavors & ordered a double. Both were absolutely delish that I can't help deciding which was best. The cherry blossom ice cream was mildly tinted with a delicate floral flavor with sweet strawberry that's offset by a creamy, bitter, rich tea taste. The yuzu citrus sorbet was sweet, tangy, & refreshing, yet so creamy for a sorbet. Prices: Single $5.00 Split Single +50¢ Tasting Trio $6.50 Double $7.50 Pint $13.00 Cone $1.00 ea. Toppings $1.00 ea. Came here on a Saturday night while walking around trying to find some dessert to have. My group wanted to try this place and it was packed inside. Luckily, there was a kiosk where you can order what you'd like, but it was in a very weird spot off to the side. The kiosk was placed in the same area as where the regular line was set up. It also blocked an area where people can sit and enjoy their ice cream. The kiosk had their clothing merchandise say were sold out, but it allowed you to order a single, double, or triple scoop of ice cream and customize it to your liking (cone, cup, etc.). You can also wait in the regular line to get the ice cream order. I didn't order anything because I didn't see anything that I wanted and some of the flavors had items I could have a reaction to. I thought there would be some traditional flavors, but I didn't know much about this ice cream store except I overheard my friend say it's a Filipino inspired menu. There were some very unique flavors, ube, some passion fruit flavored items, some sort of tres leches, etc. There were some seating areas along the front window side (which looked like an old display window from an old clothing store). In the back had some seats as well, but we didn't go too far back. My friends enjoyed the ice cream and we all had a great time.
This cute little ice cream shop is located near the end of Old Town Pasadena. I've been to the Atwater Village location and absolutely loved how creamy and naturally flavored their ice cream was so I was very excited to return to their Pasadena location. Ube Malted Crunch: I am a huge ube lover so this hit the spot. It had some malted crunch pieces which I enjoyed against the creamy texture. Sticky Rice + Mango: This was spot on in terms of flavor and reminded me of the actual dessert dish. Pros: -You can get a single split (half of one flavor and half of another). You can even get a tasting trio for three flavors!! - Don't hesitate to ask for samples - Just great ice cream in general Cons: NONE There is some inside seating near the window, but it gets preoccupied since it is limited. Love the unique flavors they offer here! Unfortunately most of them were out when I visited on a weekday evening, which was a bummer. The texture is less creamy than I like but smooth and light. I really like the creativity though and hope my next visit I'll get to actually try a lot of the flavors I'm interested in! read more

Really fun flavors at this creamery!!! They have their signature menu and a seasonal one. I was excited to get a tasting trio so I could get 3 flavors! Japanese Neapolitan - matcha, hojicha, and black sesame - honestly it tasted very nutty like peanut butter more than black sesame. The hojicha is light so I barely taste it. I was hoping to get some nice roasted flavor. I did like how unique this flavor this is since it's like getting 3 flavors in one. Che Thai - lots of coconut flavor and the jelly is a nice addition. Ube malted crunch - my favorite out of the 3 flavors. Strong ube flavor and the crunch was delicious. Kind of like toffee and woppers. Definitely coming again to try their other unique flavors! read more

This is my favorite place for ice cream in Pasadena, hands down. They always have unique flavors each month that I look forward to trying. I wanted to give a shout to Truth, who went above and beyond in helping me find the right flavors (that paired well together) and served me the best samples. Give this guy a raise! That's what I call great customer service. :) I always enjoy my experience here, from the ice cream to the staff. read more
You can never go wrong wandering in here for dessert! Wanderlust Creamery is one of my favorite ice cream places with their unique travel inspired flavors as well as a seasonal roster of flavors that changes every month. I wish they still had my favorite flavor Violette Marshmallow but they still have so many amazing flavors. I have introduced two people to Wanderlust Creamery this month- a friend and a mentor. Their holiday flavors are spectacular. I have tried the matcha strawberry stracciatella and Christmas cookies and sea salt so far. Delicious and gets you in the holiday spirit! Plenty of street and parking garage parking around but I personally take the Gold Line to Memorial Park Station and it's only about a 5 min walk away. read more

An array of interesting flavors and unique combinations. They've got all types for everyone but I was drawn to the more conventional tastes: bubblegum and vanilla. This pic is almost a year old so it doesn't reflect their current flavors but I found the taste lacking a bit. Not super strong buttercream base, bubblegum taste was stronger than I would've liked and didn't really taste any other notes. The price of bougie ice cream now is like a whole meal lol plus the portion is pretty paltry. I suggest going down to Handel's for great ice cream at a good price. read more
First time. Friendly and patient staff. They allowed for multiple taste testing which helped in the selection process. Prices are on the higher side especially when you add a cone. Flavors are unique and as described. Give this place a shot and I'm sure you will enjoy it. read more
I have always loved and admired how unique Wanderlust Creamery's flavors. They are well thought out and usually well-executed as well. Their ice cream is creamy, flavorful and thick. I loved almost, if not all, of the ones I got from them. This location is located inside a plaza/food hall which shares with 2 other businesses. The parking is off the street unless they have one in the back that I am not aware of. WHAT I GOT: -Ube Malted Crunch: the ube flavor was there but it wasn't too strong. I loved it as it was thick and creamy and taste great! -Pandan Tres Leches: pandan flavor was very subtle and the crumbs (i believe from a pandan cake) adds a great texture to the ice cream. Loved it! -Sticky Rice+Mango: the flavor is there and pretty strong IMHO. Also, it was too sweet that it was hard to finish the whole scoop. It was good, just not my type of scoop. It was too sweet and I would rather eat a real sticky rice with mango than this one. The line can be long but usually because people come in groups so once they've been helped, it goes by so fast. Overall, the flavors I got were good. I would definitely recommend trying this place out and their unique flavors when you can. The place is clean and staff is amazing. read more

The first shop in front of Pie Hole! Used to be Coolhaus. Though they allowed sampling (which is necessary with Wanderlust because of their eccentric flavors), I don't know how I feel about using non-disposable spoons during covid. I tried a couple of flavors that sounded interesting like Ramune, Oliang (wasn't a fan of this one), Hokey Pokey. The two flavors they suggested were the most popular: Mango Sticky Rice and Ube Malted Crunch. The mango sticky rice was on point with the flavor, very much like the actual dessert. But once I tried the Ube Malted Crunch, I was sold. The ube brought a warmth earthy tone to your tongue that's just unmatched. The price is a bit higher than other ice cream shops though. Their seating is closed so you'll have to find seating elsewhere and remember to eat fast when you're out during the day! read more

Calamasi creamsicle was damn creamy delicious and so refreshing!!! Don't be afraid to ask for free samples unless the line is crazy long then be courteous. Japanese Neapolitan - creamy not too sweet. Delicious Sakura Crush - has a nice surprise with the sweet/tart kitkat chocolate Chrysanthemum Honeycomb - very honey forward. Still good. Pandan Tres Leché - was really looking forward to this one but left disappointed. The pandan flavor is only in the cake pieces so we didn't get any pandan flavor. Vietnamese Rocky Road - you will miss the chocolate if you like chocolate. Mango Sticky Rice - exactly like the dessert! Whoa! Blueberry Elderflower - nice and creamy. If you plan on walking around DT, I suggest parking in one of the public lots where it's only $1 for the first 90 mins or 2hrs. I parked in the Schoolhouse Garage on Green St between Fair oaks and Raymond. This lot charges $1 for the first 2hrs. read more

Third time having wanderlust and it never disappoints! We got the pandan tres leches and mango sticky rice as a double then the ube malted crunch as a single. The flavors are definitely on point and let us feel like we're traveling internationally. read more

Tasting trio: Salted kaya toast: Pretty good. Nice pandan flavor. It reminds me of chè. But it feels like something is missing and the texture isn't as good. 3/5 Strawberry daifuku: Tastes like strawberries and cream w more cream. The mochi tastes milky too but in a good way. There is some crunchy texture as well that was yummy. 3.5/5 Royal milk tea-ramisu: It tasted better in the sample? I can barely taste any tea. It's very creamy and mainly tastes like mascarpone cheese. 1/5 Samples: Lychee almond sorbet: Pretty decent lychee flavor. It isn't too sweet. Not bad 3.5/5 Injeolmi + honeyed almond: I should've got this. It was p good in retrospect. Nice grainy flavor. 4/5 Monoi tiare tahiti: Really interesting creamy vanilla sorbet. I love the concept of Wanderlust Creamery and that's what my stars are for. The idea of culturally inspired flavors really attracts me and makes me feel connected somehow! I personally like "chunks" in my ice cream, whether it be chocolate chips, Oreos, or whatever else, and because of that preference, I've found that the ice cream here isn't my favorite. But by no means does that make this ice cream bad! I've just come to notice that most of the flavors don't have added "chunks." And that's okay! Give this place a try, it's so unique. read more

We love an API-owned local business that serves up unique and delicious ice cream!! Their flavors are so unique and Asian-inspired, including mango sticky rice, pandan, black sesame, milk tea, Vietnamese rocky road, and more. It's soooo hard to decide what to order, which is why it's so great they offer a tasting trio where you get three scoops of different flavors of your choice. This location doesn't have much seating area open inside right now, but you can ask for a lid to take your ice cream to go. They also sell pre-packed pints. read more
So excited that they finally opened a store closer to me! I love this ice cream shop. They have really unique flavors and I love their ube cone! I like how they let you sample as many flavors as you want. My usual go-to flavor is the ube malted crunch with the ube cone and they go perfect together. Brought my bf here for their grand opening and he loved it as well hehe. Recently came back to try their boba ice cream and it was a little underwhelming considering it was pretty hyped up. I tried the sea salt jasmine boba ice cream and the boba was definitely a little harder than I imagined it to be. My bf and I liked their pandan tres leches a lot more than the boba ice cream :( Also, their earl grey one is pretty bomb too!! read more
I must admit to having a weakness for any asian fusion-ish type food. They had me sold at "filipino ice cream flavors". We pretty much got a pint of every one of the seasonal flavors and a couple of the "signatures" and they were all pretty good. Our favorite was the ube pandesal flavor for sure. But I thought the japanese neopolitan was worth an honorable mention. I really wanted to try and get even more but prices are not cheap, so be prepared. $12/pint is no joke. Again, so many fun flavors and now that I think of it, mango with sticky rice was awesome too. We even had the ube cone and unlike other places you could really taste it. read more

I absolutely love Wanderlust Creamery! My favorite flavor is the Ube Malted Crunch. There's something about it that just resonates with my childhood that I just love so much. I recently found myself here after a long day - who am I kidding....all the days are long with this pandemic, amirite? I knew I was going to get the Ube ice cream, but since they have a multiple pint discount, I opted for three (don't worry, I shared with a friend...I did a friendly contact-less drop off at her door). For three pints, it came out to about $10 each. Sure, it's more expensive than ice cream from the supermarket, but for one, you gotta support your local business, and two, their ice cream is so worth the price. In addition to the Ube malted crunch, which is still my favorite, I also got to smoky road. It was filled with nuts and had a nice chocolate flavor. It reminded me of a rocky road, with a more creamy flavor. I highly recommend giving Wanderlust a try if you haven't yet! PS: Pressed Juicery and a coffee shop is also located here. read more

Wanderlust practices safe measure sin store for covid. This was my first time coming in stores for their ice cream and honestly it is unfortunate (but understandable!) that they don't allow samples. They have so many amazing flavors and each one listed sounds so tempting to choose. I had the trio sampler and had the Japanese Neopolitan, Es AlKaput, and the Mango Sticky Rice! DON'T SLEEP ON THE MANGO STICKY RICE! It is the real deal and it is worth the hype. Not entirely too sweet and you can taste a subtle saltiness- Wanderlust Nailed this flavor!! The ice creams are a bit on the pricier end, but the amount they scoop for you and the flavor definitely makes up for it. I will definitely be coming back in the future to try more! Be sure to try their seasonal flavors since they come n go. read more
I've been wanting to try Wanderlust since 2015 and finally was able to go to one of their locations! I've loved the concept since they opened - they're a Filipina-owned, Asian-flavor-infused ice cream shop inspired by travel. I got there a little before opening and the staff member didn't seem too thrilled to be there, but maybe it was just right at opening time. My only complaint is that certain ice cream flavors aren't 'softened' enough by the time they open and they were out of certain flavors altogether. I really wanted to try the Japanese Neapolitan, but they were out. I ended up sampling many flavors and deciding on the vegan yuzu one which was great; it was light, strong, citrusy, and high quality in taste. Overall, I want to try Wanderlust again, but at one of their LA locations that are bigger and offer a wider selection of flavors. Hopefully they'll have the Japanese Neapolitan in stock... BOBA??? Did you say they added BOBA to their ice cream? Bubble tea? Chewy balls? Yes, yes they did. How was it? Meh. I've had Wanderlust a few times prior to trying their hyped boba ice cream. My rating of the Jasmine Sea Salt Boba Ice Cream would be 2 or 3 stars. Why? It wasn't as special as everyone has made it out to be. I like the brown sugar boba ice cream bars more and the "boba" in those more as well. The jasmine sea salt flavor was strong. Teetering on the edge of being too strong and overpowering and artificial tasting. It tasted like jasmine extract which is a thing and wouldn't be surprised if it was used in the ice cream. This particular flavor was not subtle at all. It tasted too fake and not natural. The actual boba part was HORRIBLE. I know that it's not possible to keep it soft when it freezes because you'd need to add preservatives. Their attempt was a huge miss for me and pretty unpalatable. Almost made me not want to finish the cup. They attempted to keep it chewy, but the boba balls ended up tasting like raw dough. It tasted like they didn't cook it. The inside was chalky and hard. Even after the ice cream was melting and the boba softened a little more, it was still raw and chalky tasting. Completely ruined the experience. I have a Youtube channel where I recreated the boba ice cream bars and even my attempt had a better taste and texture. My channel is Food Insomniacs if you're interested in checking it out. While I do understand the struggle of finding the perfect recipe, I believe that the company should have done more R&D before releasing it to the public. Maybe I got a bad batch, but the fact that I tried it a day before this flavor was ending is not a good sign. I've enjoyed most of all the other flavors I've ordered during other times. The Ube Malt Crunch, White Rabbit, and Thai Tea have all been amazing. Unfortunately my expectations were not met and I was disappointed. The service from the Pasadena location is not the best either. As other reviews have pointed out, customer service is not their strongest achievement. The first time I came here, I was ignored until I literally had to stand directly in front of them. Even then, they did not show any sign of wanting to help or serve me. Not in an authentic way but happy because she didn't have to interact with me and instead just handed me my order from the freezer. Overall thoughts, customer service is seriously dragging Wanderlust down. Ice cream is great. Quality and unique flavors. Ice cream alone will not allow them to survive forever. Try to care more. Also fix your boba recipe unless I just got a horrible batch. Other boba ice creams are being released this month and I was hoping to try those as well but since the actual boba part was not good, I probably won't be checking it out. read more

I scream for ice cream! Loveeee this place for unique flavors of ice cream My absolute favorite flavor is Pandan Tres Leches with the pandan flavored cone. It's so creamy and the pandan flavored was just right. I love pandan flavored anything! My love for pandan stemmed first from eating a pandan waffle! They have so many interesting flavors, such as mango sticky rice and Vietnamese rocky road and so many other unique flavors! They have several locations in SoCal, so don't miss out! "Artisanal ice cream inspired by travel" - what a great concept and you know you will always be getting a unique flavor. National Ice Cream Day is what brought us here recently. Of course, by the time we got there, the free scoops deal was over, but we luckily were able to take advantage of the other sweet deal going on (double scoops for the price of a single). The shop is located in a cool hipster/industrial space shared with a few other merchants (Intelligentsia, Pressed Juicery, and the Pie Hole). It's at the front on the right, so you can't miss it. We decided to share a cup with two scoops: Japanese Neapolitan and Hurricane Butter Mochi, which is one of the seasonal flavors. Both were very delicious and not overly sweet. The Japanese Neapolitan tasted like a satisfying green tea flavor and the various colors swirled together (green, gray, and purple) looked so cool. The Hurricane Butter Mochi had a rich butter flavor (surprise, surprise) and also had a nice crunch to it. The cost was a little more pricey than I typically like to pay for ice cream, but because of the quality and unique flavors, I feel like it is justified. If you have a craving for ice cream and want to try something a little more outside of the box, definitely stop by here and you won't be disappointed! read more
I give Wanderlust 5 stars for their creative artisanal flavors, but the official rating has one star docked because some of the flavors didn't work for me. Attached I have my personal ranking of all the flavors I have tried. As you can see, it's quite comprehensive - 13 so far! I really like the quality of the materials they use, and especially in this period lacking in travel, I can pretend to be in a dream locale through my taste buds. The ones that didn't work for me are the ones with boba - these were a weird consistency that was a bit hard and starchy - not enjoyable at all. The honey butter was just weird, to me and my personal tastebuds did not enjoy the flavors of the abuelita malted chocolate (was a bit unconventional) and the earl grey. On the flip side, the ones that I realllly enjoy - I just got the March Seasonal flavors, and can wholeheartedly recommend the 2 I've tried - the burnt honey hojicha (hojicha is in the Japanese Neapolitan, and I always find myself digging out the hojicha portion, so this full pint of the hojicha with some savory-ish honey flavor is a treat!) and the tea & macarons (with citrusy floral teas and chunks of various flavored macarons - I'm so impressed that the macarons are not soggy, but has chew and crunch, and even various flavors - the lemon curd one stood out to me). Absolutely do enjoy the Japanese Neapolitan (which has matcha, black sesame and hojicha), Thai tea (strongg flavor), the passion fruit cacao was yum but wish it was a pure passionfruit. I get super excited to see what new flavors they come out with, but also appreciate them bringing back the very popular previous monthly flavors in case people missed it - would love to see the oolong pineapple cake one come back!! Haven't gotten to try it yet. Overall, very delicious, high quality, inventive ice creams, and I'm grateful to be able to support this AAPI woman led family business! read more
Wanderlust had delicious ice cream and so many flavor options! I previously tried their ice cream at a night market, but I love how many options they have available at the actual store. I wanted to try everything! I ordered the trio with the Japanese Neopolitan, Mango Sticky Rice, and Kaya Toast. I was not disappointed, and I wish I got more! I think the trio is a perfect size for someone who is indecisive and wants to try multiple flavors. I definitely will be coming back to try more flavors in the future. read more

Since we were in Pasadena and heard about Wanderlust Creamery advertised on TV, hubby and I gave it a try. Parked on the street, and when we walked in the joint, the person working that day was not happy. She stood up from where she was sitting not even a hello so I have to start the conversation ... Hi! I asked her what is the famous flavor that you can recommend... "ube malted !" That's the answer so I asked her if I can try it ... she scooped it with the sample spoon and then she instructed me to placed the metal small spoon in the container. Okay, I went ahead and purchased one scoop and bought 2 pre-packed (ube and pistachio ) spent $32.00. She placed it in a bag and went on to the next customer without a thank you or have a good day! No need to return to a joint like this just to purchase a very expensive ice cream if they treat their customers this way. No place to seat and Not a good experienced for us. read more
I have heard good reviews for this ice cream shop from a friend. Glad to have finally tried this ice cream shop. It did not disappoint. Their ice cream is creamy and delicious. I love how the flavors are not your typical, normal selection. They currently don't do "tasting " because of covid so we ended up ordering "Pint Split" so we can try 3 flavors. We chose Sans Rival, Halo-Halo and Ube Malted crunch. While we liked all the flavors we tried, Our favorite was the Ube Malted crunch. For some people this flavor is probably considered acquired taste, try it. It's really good. Ube tastes similar to Taro but much richer in taste and generally more sweet. The Halo- halo's prevailing taste for us is the jackfruit. So if you haven't had jackfruit before, this is another acquired taste.. But do try this one. It's good. The Sans Rival is good too but since the other two flavors where more distinct, this one kinda "lost" its taste . I think next time we come, we will order flavors individually . This way, the flavors don't need to compete in my taste buds. Came on a Tuesday early evening. There was no line. Staff greeted us happily . This is probably one of my favorite ice cream spots! I usually get a double scoop (Japanese Neopolitan and Ube Malted Crunch) with the ube cone. Today I saw a few different flavors, so i decided to try something different. I tried the pandan tres leches and the pink rose flavor. Pandan tres leches was delicious and is definitely getting added to my top favorites. The pink rose flavor ice cream with the cardamon and pistachio pieces was fragrant, and not something I am a fan of, so I probably wouldn't try it again. For the most part, the majority of their flavor schemes are delicious, and that's why this place is definitely one of my go-to ice cream spots. Always puts a smile on my face!
