This is by far the worst TEX MEX place I have encountered in NJ. All the TEX MEX places in the city are pretty consistent... I mean how can you go wrong with fajita by the pound that comes with either grilled chicken or steak with grilled onions and peppers. Oh boy we were sooo wrong. Deliveryservice was fast. From all the hullaballoo (or however you spell it) you would think that Wang Wang Super Taco is something extraordinary. After all, Wang Wang Super Taco was awarded two honors during the 9th Annual Top 100 Chinese Restaurants in North America and Australia Awards ceremony "Top 100 Overall Excellence" and "Top 100 Healthy Menus". I have no idea what these things mean. When I was in high school, I was selected to receive the Top High School Graduates In the US Award and recently, I was invited to be in the Top Most Ethical Businessmen Awards. I don't know what these mean either but since membership and recognition in them requires paying a fee, I sincerely doubt their credibility. Wang Wang Super Taco is a Chinese food take out restaurant in the typical sense of the word that also serves Mexican food and has a really cool name. Nothing great or exceptional. Just decent food, a staff that barely understands English and a delivery guy who likes to steal bottles of water and snacks off of my receptionist's desk. The Chinese is solid, pricing reasonable and proteins abundant (not a container full of onions and sauce). The Mexican food includes: tacos, tostadas, quesadillas, enchiladas, burritos, fajitas (by the pound) and nachos, are all done pretty good. It's TexMex but more ChiMex as you will find the preparation slightly unorthodox but true in its contents and flavor profiles. I have been to a few Chinese run Mexican restaurant in new York. Was excited to see this one in NJ. I got the taco salad once and it wasn't bad. Decided to try this place again. I got the general tsos chicken. It was made to the color and consistency of orange chicken. The texture was too hard, there was no spicy taste, and the egg fried rice was even bland. Probably the worst I have ever had! Also got the jack cheese and beans quesadilla. This was made ok but the accompanying salsa was so runny. The lady at the counter was not very nice either. I love this place! I usually order from the Mexican menu. You get a lot for your money and they are rather cheap! They always give us a free order of crab rangoon too! My faves are the al carbon and guacamole soft tortilla, shrimp and jack cheese quesadilla, and the steak & jalapeño combo with shrimp added to it! This place is ridiculous. I have tried picking the food up and have had to wait upwards of 40 minutes (after waiting the 20 minutes they told me the food would take). Tonight I ordered food for delivery. I called after a half hour & was told that it had just left to be delivered. I called back 20 minutes later & was told again that it had just left. An hour & a half after I first ordered the food, I called back again to cancel the order & was again told that it had just left. We live about five blocks from the restaurant, so it should not have taken almost an hour to be delivered. In addition to the bad service with both take out & delivery, the woman taking orders was extremely rude & hung up on me the 2nd time I called. While the food is decent, better Chinese food can be found locally. The only redeeming quality this place has is that they accept bank/credit cards & most of the Chinese restaurants around here do not. But with a wait time like this, it would be more time efficient to drive to the bank, take cash out & take my business elsewhere. read more

Had came here last summer with a friend of mind since we're big foodies we wanted Mexican food but didn't wanna drive too far so after a day of consignment shopping we went here It was one of those stereotypical Chinese places that you think what kind of meat is this my friend ordered chicken tacos and I had a veggie burrito. First off my veggie burrito had the veggies they put in there chicken and broccoli, disgusting just pure disguisement. They were rude in there. And a few hours later I get a stomach ache thinking I need to lie down or I've been shopping in this heat makes someone tired. Woke up and got sick and went to urgent care found out I had gotten food poisoning from their food. If you want to try this place make sure you have your doctor on speed dial. Apparently, what makes Wang Wang interesting (and pretty business savvy) is that it serves two different types of food (Mexican and Chinese) on the same premises. I like their plain nachos; on average, I order it once a week. I also like their tostada salad and fried cheese wontons. read more

This review is strictly for their Mexican food. While I didn't set any high expectations, the tacos and quesadillas were just horrendous. Chicken and beef, that were probably borrowed from dishes for Chinese food, were bland and unMexican. The whold eating experience was just bad with grease dripping down between tortillas and soft shells. I rarely ever not want to finish the food I get but that was how I felt after couple of bites. Definitely not the cleanest place to eat. Not a lot of seating and they have not done any renovations to the place to keep it up to date and looking clean and fresh. The food is okay. To be honest it is a hit or miss. I used to get the cheese quesadilla. Super simple and yet they still managed to make it super greasy and it would upset my stomach. Our normal go to Chinese places were closed due to the hurricane so we decided to try Wang Wang--I wish we hadn't. The chicken with garlic had a sauce & taste that was inedible. The fajita was tough & bland. I asked for hoisin sauce for my steamed shrimp & broccoli-which was tasty & the girl at the counter told me that they didn't have any poured. She also told me that I couldn't get a pint of mixed brown & white rice. She was extremely unaccommodating. They gave us the wrong soup & we had to drive all the back to switch it. As the food was not good & the attitude even worse I would never go there again.
