When we are in town this is the place for wings so good. People watching is the best too! They will make them as sweet or hot as you'd like. They have supper sweet fresh fruit lemonaides too

The food was quite tasty. The layers of flavor on the salmon bites was top tier. My daughter had the chicken wings. She absolutely loved the flavor. They have plant based options as well. They're located in the alley way on Venice beach. We found the location from the manager that was giving out samples to people as they walked by (great marketing). I will admit although it was very flavorful and tasty, I could not eat but a few salmon bites. The batter was just a little too much for me. Also, I'm not too into fried foods. I wish they also had options without the batter. Overall I would recommend this restaurant.

Wangs N Thangs did NOT disappoint! I ordered a salmon quesadilla, cauliflower wings, and regular wings -- and yum. The quesadilla was on point, the cauliflower wings had me shook (I didn't expect to love them that much!), and the regular wings? Perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. The service was fast and friendly -- no long waits, just good energy and great food. I'll definitely be back!

Customer Service was cool. The lady taking the order was real nice. The erythang sauce was a bit spicy but good, despite her telling me it wasn't spicy. So, they don't use standard party wings. They use CHICKEN WING PORTIONS which are pieces of wings. I dunno what these two round pieces of meat with bone are, BUT they are not standard wings.

Food is great, but hate the chairs outside. The chairs and tables are filthy, chairs are located outside but at least someone should at least wipe them. I ate here twice on my stay at Venice Beach area, the samples they give out is what really brings people to order especially since their food is seasoned well and tasty. I ate the chicken wangs and shrimp sandwhich, I asked for the salmon sandwich but I was so distracted at how high the girl who took my order that I ordered the wrong thang!

Cauliflower wings with spicy sauce. The sauce was amazing. I really enjoy the cauliflower wings definitely would get it again.

The service was nice. The food was delicious. Their salmon bites are amazing. No photos was taken. It was also not on the menu. Definitely would come back again for the cauliflower wings the chicken wings.

Everything was good and flavorful. They're pumping out great, fresh, quality food. Nevertheless, that koolaid drink or whatever it was was like DIABETES in a cup! What did they do, put the whole bag of sugar in that joint!. If you do get it make sure you cut it with cold water to stretch it out and share it with 10 other people. Overall check em out and give a go...you won't be disappointed!

Solid wings-- could be crispier, flavorful, and cooked well. The cauliflower wings were just as good, decently crunchy and delicious. The frozen lemonade, however, was a bit too sweet for my taste, so I'd skip that next time. But after experiencing how much flavor and crispiness they deliver, I'm definitely coming back to try the onion flower! eat them fresh or else they'll lost their crispiness quick!

I've been craving lemon pepper wings crazy lately and I was hunting a location near the beach for some. Seemed to be a popular spot on the beach front walk. Sad to say they were sold out of lemon pepper, so I opted for the buffalo honey (6pc) and errthang (6pc) wings. The wings were beautifully sauced and perfectly cooked. They did stack them in because my partner and I felt like the amount was endless. Buffalo honey was quite spicy with a nice sweetness, I'm a huge buffalo fan so these hit the spot. I was pleasantly surprised by the errthang wings sauce. I asked the kind cashier what the most recommended flavor was since I mainly wanted lemon pepper. I'm extremely happy with taking her suggestion! Very balanced, sweet, savory, mild kick. They also gave me a sample of their frozen lemonade without asking, very thoughtful. I did realize many people were purchasing it, a little too sweet for my taste but I can see why it's popular. Seems like a family joint, the entire staff was very polite. Definitely looking forward to coming back to try their lemon pepper! Cashier also provided me a customer appreciation card that gives you a free item with your 6th purchase. Total with tip came out to $29.

We love supporting black businesses! We had wings and cauliflower! So friendly & flavorful. There was music and we were able to hangout with other. Can't wait to come back!

My son and I decided to try this place out and the owner was very nice and gave us samples. I was sold on his chicken wings because of what I tried but he recommended the chicken sandwich and he said he'd hook me up with more wings, cool. I also ordered the fried shrimp and potato stick and blooming onion with the blue lemonade slushy. My son ordered the shrimp po boy. Food came out quickly and hot. Chicken sandwich was tasty but I think he forgot he said he'd hook me up with wings as they got busy. I was disappointed as the wings were fire and I wished I'd just gotten those instead but sandwich was tasty. Shrimp were jumbo and nicely cooked and seasoned. The potato stick was delicious. I couldn't eat the blooming onion as it wasn't cut enough and the breading easily slid off the pieces. By the time, I got home, it was cold and soggy and I was still unable to tear off pieces. The blue lemonade was delicious but very sweet. Customer service is great. My son enjoyed his shrimp po boy. My total was 60 something bucks and it was very filling. They also do doordash.

    6 piece wing

I was on Venice Beach, ya know, doing LA touristy things. I saw this little shack, and I remember seeing LATryGuy reviewing this place so I was like "why not". I ordered the 6 piece wings. The total came out to $12 something I think. I got the Honey Garlic sauce and I loved it. The wangs were saucy, had a nice crisp on the outside, and some wings were fat. Good mixture of flats and drums. Service was kind and friendly. I didn't have to wait that long, maybe like 10 mins? I am all for supporting small family owned businesses so I'm glad I got to try this place. My only suggestion is to include the wing sauce variations on their menu board.

From the moment you walk in, that amazing smell hits you like no other! Marcus, the owner, treated us like you're a regular, even on our first visit. Marcus gave us samples of the chicken gumbo and from the moment it touched my tongue, I was sold. I got a 32 ounce Gumbo and let me tell you, it was plenty. Everything was perfectly seasoned and packed full with some much pride and flavor. You could tell Marcus and his wife are passionate about their business and the product they're putting out. In addition to the chicken gumbo, I got the cornbread with the honey butter. Let me tell you something, I must've died and went to heaven. One of my friends' grandmothers made corn bread back in the day and this made me think of those times. The cornbread wasn't dry and the honey butter just amplified it to the next level. Fried Chicken - 4 Star - I got two pieces. I am pretty sure they were deboned thighs. Seasoned and fried well with juicy meat and flavor in every bite. The fried batter texture is unique, very light and airy almost tempura-ish, but still crunchy, seasoned, and it highlighted the chicken rather then overpowering it. Shrimp Poboy - 4.5 Star - Absolutely nailed the shrimp on this one. Large, plump, seasoned and sauced exactly right letting that sweet shrimp meat really shine. The Cajun/Jerk Seasoning was great and the cabbage slaw took nothing away from it. The roll was thick so it held up very well, but it needed a bit more moisture to be perfect.

The style, decor, music and ambiance was warm and inviting. The service was excellent, everyone was nice, friendly and worked well as a unit. Let's get to the food... I'll start by saying yes, yes and yes. From the appetizers to the desert.. spot on! To start we had cocktails. My wife had the Bayou Berry Smash, and I went with the Pecan Hips Old Fashion. The bartender did his thing on those cocktails. For the appetizer we chose Craw Fish Pies. The crust was buttery and flaky. There was just enough filling to get some in every bite. For the main courses, she chose the Sautéed Quater Catfish. She substituted the sauteed catfish for fried. The fish is served over a satuee of shrimp, crab, creole rice and ratatouille. It was exceptional! It was a big portion, but she ate every bit of it. Literally, no notes. I ordered the Crawfish St. Charles. A whole perfectly fried catfish filet on a bed of etouffée. The plating was beautiful and creative. There was a crawfish peeking through the curled end of the filet, which was fried to perfection. It was succulent, hot, crunchy, and juicy. That d!%# crawfish etouffée had me looking for a granny to walk out of the kitchen. It was sooo good, the perfect amount of spice and herbs, balanced with the gravy and crawfish and was perfect. We also ordered a side of red beans and rice. I had to try it, and it didn't disappoint. Once again they knocked it out of the park. The spice level, the texture of the beans and that smokey sausage hit the mark. To finish ourselves off we had the Croissant Beignets. All I can say is little pillows of heaven! We will most definitely pay them another visit. Pro Tip.. make sure you order the sausage with your red beans and Rice, the order doesn't come with it.

Appetizers - Brussels Sprouts had a heavy balsamic flavor that was strong in flavor but enjoyable - frog legs - you get a good number of pieces and I don't get to eat this often so definitely worth a try - gumbo small - individual sized gumbo that has a little kick with a mix of seafood options Entrees - Quarter Catfish (fried was recommended) - nice piece size that was fried well and tasty, there was lump crab with a butter sauce that was great (I actually liked this more than the catfish) - Crawfish Pasta - not bad but decent. not the most flavorful considering most things were. - shrimp jambalaya - you can substitute the rice for pasta - strong kick, a little dry as pasta and decent Desserts: - Bread pudding in bourbon sauce - comes out sizzling and made in house; wasn't my favorite I think the sauce was too much - Carrot cake - definitely the best dessert they have; reminds me of a carrot cake cinnabon - Cheesecake - the top layer has a very sharp cheddar taste; not your classic mild cheesecake - you must really like cheese to enjoy this Overall I thought the food items they really experimented with and enjoyed the creativity. Their email to followers says they will keep a few menu items as well (doesn't say which ones!?) Thank you to the entire crew for years of amazing meals and hospitality. These flavors WILL be missed!! See you at the new, well, same spot (new name and decor!?)
