We were looking for a seafood boil spot in LA and came across Boil Daddy and decided to check it out. The service was great! The waitress, Sam, helped us out and was very attentive and nice! We ordered the calamari and 2 lb of crawfish. The food was decently good, but the calamari was more fries than calamari. There was barely a hand full of calamari and a whole mountain was fries. It was good but def think they should have more calamari on there. The crawfish sauce was good, but it also wasn't a lot. I'm used to my seafood being in a lot of sauce/broth. I felt like I had to really scoop to the bottom to get more flavor. Lastly, they have bottled beer, none on tap. Def wish they did tho!

Stopped in here during a holiday weekend a few weeks back and found the overall experience fine, but nothing super memorable. When I walked in there were no workers in the restaurant and the couple in front of me were whispering to each other trying to decide if they should leave. Someone eventually popped out of the back, but a single waiter/host for the entire restaurant meant he was stretched thin. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining room is pretty drab. The music was low. The two or three other tables of people were quiet as well. These kinds of crab spots are all about being a bit fun, but that wasn't really happening here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food itself was solid enough. I went with a cluster of snow crab legs, clams and the sausage, potatoes and corn that come with it. Sauce could have used a bit more kick and was pretty oily. The crabs were cooked very well and tasted fresh. The clams were pretty much mush. This is my second or third visit over the years and it feels like they may be in a cutting corners stage. Unfortunate, because my first visits here were pretty good. Not horrible in a pinch if you're craving a seafood boil, but I'm not sure if I'd recommend it.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a cute establishment![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] First time trying it but it was a to go order. It was packaged very well and stayed hot until I got home. Sauce was great next time I'll do mild instead of original I like a little kick. I absolutely love that the potatoes are petite some places would give you whole regular sized potato lol service was friendly well staff member who took my order. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'll def be back to dine in the vibes are cool & they have a bar!!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Looking for another great Cajun seafood spot in West LA? Boil Daddy have got a big parking lot, super convenient. The Cajun sauce here is authentic and mouthwatering. The lobster combo comes with two huge lobster tails and your choice of peeled or unpeeled shrimp. My must-haves? Corn and sausage--done just right in that Cajun flavor. Plus, so many wing options--our favorite is the soy garlic. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Perfect for date night, game night, or a fun night out with friends![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] IG : socalhkfoodies

Great seafood! Ordered mild seafood for delivery and it was fabulous! Still pretty spicy but yummy. They were so nice and added churros!

Garlic and butter and Cajun sauce is not very flavorful. I'm from the south and there's no salt. I tried it twice, eehhh.

One time my bag was really juicy and one time dry I ordered the same exact thing. The Cajun and butter sauce has almost no salt I swear. I'm from the south and it's just okay. [[HIGHLIGHT]]ALSO, so so so hot inside literally 80 inside my god. I need air.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

In LA for the weekend and stumbled upon this spot after a day at the beach! I'm blown away. The portions were incredible with my pasta and came with sooooo much shrimp. All of my friends loved their food as well. Highly recommend!!

I have ordered from here before but this time I fumbled. I typically order the mild spice level but tbh it doesn't have much spice so this time I decided to order medium spice level. Big mistake. My lips were on FIRE. Milk didn't even help that much. It was inedible so I washed off the sauce lmao. Luckily I had ordered shrimp in mild flavor so I was able to use that sauce for the crab legs that were medium spice. Learn from me and don't order the medium unless you enjoy your tongue and lips on fire and numb! I placed an online order for pick up. Service was fast and friendly. Plenty of tables inside for dining. They also have a bar area for drinks. The had a step and repeat inside which was cute. There is some parking on the side of the building so that was nice.

Cajun themed restaurant with great staff and the food was delivered quickly on a busy evening. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The music spawn d classic 80s music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Sam and Edison provided wonderful service. The meals were delicious and the offered multiple options for sauces and spice levels. A great experience for my birthday celebration!

I love cajun seafood! This place is great for seafood plate with a lot of flavors. My friend didn't really eat much usually but this time she ate like going to an AYCE. The flavor is just right and not too salty or spicy. The rice plates are also really good. Servers are very friendly. They tried to converse with us. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great vibe and wonderful food![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The restaurant looked like it's a new restaurant, was not busy at the time that I went. I was literally the only person there for a cool minute. ordered one snow cluster, which came with sausages, Potatoes, I ordered 2 boiled eggs and steamed rice. The snow cluster barely had any meat in it, however the sauce was okay. I tore it up because it was a pregnancy craving(seafood boil). [[HIGHLIGHT]]I like how it was pretty close to Culver City, it was nice and clean inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cool looking restaurant inside, it just wasn't busy at the time I went.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They left a note on my car, I kind of felt a ways because like I said I was like one of the only customers in there. It was alright, would've been better if the crab legs had more meat

I got there with my mother and was greeted by a very lovely gentleman named Clark. He told us we could sit wherever so we seated ourselves in the outside area. He came over right away with the menus and asked if we had been there before to which we responded had not. He went over the menu with us and answered any questions we had regarding the menu. He was very sociable and friendly. We chatted with him and put in an order for the Kiwi Chowder. I ordered a Modelo and my mother ordered a glass of orange blend wine. He came over with the drinks a while later and the Kiwi chowder and have us plenty of time to sit and enjoy the dish before we ordered our main courses. The kiwi chowder was delicious and came with little crackers. The clams and mussels were so tasty and the Ora King Salmon was a nice treat. After a while he came back and served me the Fisherman's Mixed Basket and my mother got the Fish tacos with fish of the day for them being Sword Fish. The fisherman's basket was amazing and paired perfectly with my beer. I had never had clams, mussels, snapper, and oysters all together and they were so good I wish I could have them more frequently. The place was very cute and sat quietly with good music playing. Not current music but music that really fit the place and set the vibe. I will be coming back here and if you ever go, there is no bad choice for the fish, the service is stupendous and I haven't gotten anything like it in forever, and if you meet Clark enjoy a friendly conversation with him.

What a wonderful surprise…read more I live just around the corner from Jamaica Bay Inn, and for whatever reason, it took me far too long to finally have dinner here with family and friends. I wish I'd discovered it sooner. The restaurant overlooks Mother's Beach, and the setting is exactly what you'd hope for: peaceful, relaxed, and quintessential Marina del Rey. You almost expect the view to be the highlight... Then the food shows up. For appetizers, we shared the hummus plate and the calamari. Both were excellent. As someone whose kids were practically raised eating seafood around the ports of New England, calamari is one of those deceptively simple dishes we judge pretty harshly. Beachside absolutely passed the test. I ordered the cheeseburger, which was solid, but the real stars of the evening were the roasted Jidori chicken and the jumbo shrimp fettuccine. The chicken was perfectly juicy, something that sounds easy but surprisingly few restaurants consistently get right. The shrimp fettuccine completely stole the show. In fact, it's now become my daughter's regular takeout order, and she's easily the toughest pasta critic in our family. Congratulations... you've officially earned the title of our favorite pasta spot in the Marina. The service was another highlight. Our server spoke both German and Italian, had a great sense of humor, and made the evening feel warm and effortless. Between the location, the food, and the hospitality, I already know this is going to become one of our regular family dinner spots.

First let me say that Nahum, who helped us was excellent. The absolute perfect balance of checking on you but not overdoing it. If it weren't for Nahum, morning sun, and the breeze, I think we would have sent back our plates and left. Really. We didn't tell him there were any issues, because once the decision was made to stay, why ruin his holiday too? lol Ordered coffee. Dreadful. Ok, no big deal. The food came out and I could immediately SEE The Unappetizing . It's special when you can tell that your food is going to be bad before you take one bite. The French toast was Sahara dry, burned and flavorless. The chicken, was competing with it in the dry and flavorless category-- I really can't say which was worse. I don't really use hot sauce and I drowned the tenders in Cholula just to make it halfway edible. Literally we could have waited for the AMC chicken tenders and they would have been better, which is horrifying. Particularly when you try to avoid fried food in general and now you are poisoning your body for no good reason. Husband ordered a steak and eggs, medium well. I'll attach the picture and I'll let you be the judge of whether or not it was cooked properly. Eggs were not good either. Immediately, I gave hubby more than half my plate because he eats All of Everything that's put in front of him. Something would have to get up and walk off his plate for him to not eat it. He was taught not to waste food, period. The exception was steak so that he could take it home, cook it, and then eat it. This was possibly the worst meal I've ever had, and certainly on a special occasion. So many places we could have gone today that would have been a different experience, but it will never happen again.
