However, in early 2020 (before COVID) when I visited CF Cibolo, they were absolutely beyond friendly. Every time I showed up for class, several members would remember my name, engage me in conversation, and genuinely made me feel super welcome... not just coaches or the owner... the MEMBERS! In fact, they made such an impression on me, I not only joined but began coaching there myself. Now, three years later, We have grown in membership but that feeling of community is as strong as ever! Dont' get me wrong, we like to work hard and get our sweat on... but owners misson statement could not be more reflective of the realty... Community first; fitness second!

While San Antonio has been good to us this past year, the one thing I will definitely miss most is this community. I feel incredibly blessed to have been a part of such an amazing CrossFit family. I have met so many beautiful souls at The Shop and am grateful to have made some life long friendships. The coaches are absolutely amazing and the programming will challenge you regardless of your current fitness level. Thank you for being so good to me. Aloha 'Oe my friends! Until we meet again!

I arrived 30 minutes early so i could fill out the paperwork and get a introduction on what to expect. Matt the trainer showed me the 3 stations, rowing, treadmill and weights, and explained each one to me. He put me on station 12 so he'd be able to help me easier during my first workout. Matt is a great trainer and was very helpful and encouraging. Since it was my first workout he reminded me throughout that I could modify the exercises to my capability. The hour went by so fast the workout for the day was focused on power so the circuit was rowing, treadmill, weights, rowing, treadmill weights, rowing, treadmill and finished with stretching. In the one hour workout I burned 922 calories. I was very happy with that. Everyday is a different workout. You don't even know the area of focus for that date until right before call. When you book a class all you see is the time and the trainers name. On Friday I was called to see how I enjoyed the class. I enjoyed it so very much that I did not want to wait until September when the Alamo Heights location opens. So I was assisted in signing up for a temporary membership at this location until my discounted new location discount kicks in when it opens. I had some issue with the app and I was called back very quickly and the issue resolved just as fast. Everyone I've dealt with has been fantastic. Customer service is most definitely part of this businesses DNA. I will and have recommended them to others.

I joined Orange Theory back in March of this year (2021). A couple things about my workout history:…read more1) I rarely ran on a treadmill or anywhere for that matter; and 2) I NEVER used a rowing machine before. 7 months later I attend class 4-6 days per week and enjoy the treadmill and the rowing machine. The workouts are very conveniently offered throughout the day including at 5:00 a.m. which is when I primarily attend. Classes are 7 days a week. The instructors are great. Knowledgeable about health and fitness and also good coaches who motivate and ensure that members use appropriate form to avoid injuries and maximize benefit. The workouts vary and some days can be quite challenging. Ultimately the level of challenge is within each member. Occasionally, benchmark days occur where you are timed on the rower or treadmill (e.g. 1 mile time, 2000m row, etc) and can measure your improvement with future benchmarks. Since joining my cardio health is much improved and I feel stronger!! In fact, I recently made the leaderboard for the 200m row benchmark. Even though you are striving to improve yourself, I love some healthy competition too. If you are looking for an efficient 60 minute workout that is guided, burns calories and is not hard on your body or joints, then you should definitely check this out! With the right membership you can also visit other studios all around the country. This is great if you travel. I have personally visited studios in other cities.

I had recently came…read moreacross the BSA Sports Lab Training program during a weekend basketball tournament for my son. Because I am skeptical of programs promising miracles of success I waited a few months before deciding to give the BSA Sports Lab Training a try. My son has been with the program for four weeks and we are in shock of the increased vertical and strength gains he has shown. So as a parent that is aiding in their child growth and success, I can honestly say this program is for ALL ATHLETES... AND YES PARENTS we are still athletes too, just a bit wiser on how far our bodies can go than our children :-) For those that may be unsure about validity of posts, I am not being paid or seeking any discount for this review. So you are welcome to meet and talk with me about the program, my son and I are there every Tuesday and Friday @6. We are planning on doing the program for 10 weeks, so you're welcome to see how I went from a child that could barely touch the backboard. To a child that is so close to dunking that he can't stop talking about dunking in his poor dad's face.... :-(

The atmosphere is fun and energetic. My son still trains with BSA as well and is now playing college football. His training with BSA has had a great impact on his strength, athleticism and abilities. The workouts are challenging and specifically designed to fit my needs and my goals. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

However, after attending a few classes, I changed my mind because the atmosphere finally felt like the OrangeTheory experience I know--full classes, great energy, and coaches who were genuinely engaged and passionate about what they do. I left for a month, only to return to a completely empty studio. I then learned that all of the coaches had left. Now I'm back to small classes and an entirely new coaching staff. The few classes I've taken have been enjoyable, but without members filling the room, it's missing the energy and motivation that OrangeTheory is known for. Had I known the full situation before signing up for the promotion, I likely would not have renewed. If this studio ends up closing because of ongoing coaching or membership issues, I will not be relocating again or renewing my membership.

Watching what appears to be a mass exodus of coaches has been shocking. The coaches were the heart of the Orangetheory experience, and seeing so many familiar faces disappear all at once has left many members confused and concerned. What's been even more disappointing is the lack of communication from corporate. Members invest significant time and money into this community, and when major changes happen, we deserve transparency. Instead, we've been left to piece together information through rumors and social media, which has only created more frustration and uncertainty. The new coaches clearly have fitness experience, and I don't question their credentials. However, the atmosphere in the studio has changed dramatically. In my opinion, they haven't captured what made Orangetheory unique--the energy, coaching style, member engagement, and sense of community that kept so many of us coming back. It feels like they've been brought in without being properly integrated into the Orangetheory culture, and the overall experience has suffered because of it. This studio was built on the relationships between members and coaches. Ignoring those relationships and failing to acknowledge what's happening sends the message that member concerns don't matter. I genuinely hope Orangetheory takes the time to communicate openly with its members, address the concerns surrounding these departures, and work to rebuild the trust that's been lost.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by the owner Barry. As I explained that I was from out of state and only wanted a one-day usage, he generously offered the use of his facility for FREE. I respectfully refused because I was honored by his offer but more importantly, I wanted to show a return of respect to Barry for being an independent owner of a gym in this fitness business. Besides, you treat things of more value when you pay for them than receiving it for free; we negotiated a fair use of his gym for $10. This gym might be considered small to some but this place has some of the best and cleanest equipment anywhere. All the dumbells (up to 120lbs) are properly placed along with the seats in front. The power area has 1 Smith machine and one power rack; no stand alone flat bench press. The 45-lb plates are plentiful to fill the leg press and hack squat machine. There are various cable and weight machines to for specific muscle groups. The treadmills, elliptical machines, and stair climbers are more than adequate for anyone's cardio needs. A massage table is available for your post workout as well. This place has a great environment for a serious workout. The clientele are very nice and will spot you for a heavy lift if you ask. Please support this business because not only will it fulfill your fitness needs, but the owners are the best of people and we need more of that in this world.
