I bought my first pair of Warby Parker glasses back when there was only one store... this one. At the time, I loved everything about it. I also loved my new glasses. Literally every pair of glasses I have ever worn have been Warby Parker, and I bought them all at this location. I assume the rest of the locations are fine, but this is where I go for glasses. Here's the bad news. As with everything that starts out amazing and then becomes super successful... things start to get compromised as the empire expands. They don't sell the original frames that I bought here, and that's a bummer. The new designs seem lower quality to me, and many of them are ridiculous looking. It is highly possible that I have aged out of coolness, and I just don't get it. Anyhow, I still highly recommend Warby if you need glasses, and the folks that work at this store are extremely helpful and nice. read more

1 star for convenience. They won't swap lenses on glasses if they're not Warby Parker. I got an eye exam here and had to sit through 30 minutes of a machine 1 cm from my eyeballs puffing air and not working. I told them 10 times I did not want UV blocking contacts and look! I paid $700 for 4 boxes of UV blocking contacts. I confirmed over and over again, even saying those boxes look like the UV blocking boxes and they were like "oh yeah the boxes are the same for all Acuvue." No. Don't come here. read more

I never thought I would be SO EXCITED about glasses, but here I am: I have needed to get new glasses (frames & lenses) for the past year, but every time I thought I would go to Lenscrafters I couldn't find an honest friend to go with me for the very honest opinion of how I look in each frame. I have seen WP's ads on TV for a while, but I always assumed they were really expensive because - ready for this stupid assumption? - they were one of Oprah's "favorite things" a few years ago, and almost all of her "favorites" are on HER budget ($300 cashmere scarves, etc). However, I was scrolling Facebook one night and saw one of the ads for "try at home" and realized I had NOTHING to lose. I picked out 5 frames I really liked in the "tortoise" color option (there were a lot to choose from, and note that "Sassafras" is also considered tortoise), and had them delivered in a great box about 5 days later with all sorts of things to read. No need for your BFF to be standing next to you helping to decide, just text a few pics of yourself to everyone and they can participate in the decision from wherever they happen to be. I narrowed it down to two frames, and then I realized that $95 INCLUDED the lenses. Again, there I was assuming and the last time I got just the lenses from Lenscrafters, they were $250 (!!!!!). But wait, there is more: two (or more) pairs gets you a 15% off discount, so instead of deciding which one I liked better (and they are almost identical) I ordered both. Two pairs of awesome glasses arrived at my door a week later, and I am thrilled. While there are several WP locations near me, I don't even need a little adjustment on either one... SO EASY! Moral of the Story: don't assume anything, and just get the glasses! read more

First of all, it was a wonderful day to learn that we were visiting the very first Warby Parker in existence. I loved the libraries of New York design motif. The staff was so helpful and personable. Stopped here to see if I found new frames and to use up my FSA balance before the end of the year and I was so happy I did. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. They have so many options, it can definitely be overwhelming but the employees directed me to frames they thought would look good based on my preferences and face shape. I have been a loyal Warby Parker customer since the days when their primary business model was shipping glasses for you to try and showrooms such as this one did not even exist yet. Nowadays however WP has *beautiful* stores that look like a cross between an eye wear store and a sophisticated library. Similar in style to an Apple store, the employees move freely throughout the store assisting customers. It is a very organic and friendly shopping experience. During the Covid pandemic, some of the procedures in the store have changed (but not by much). Employees were masked during my last visit and (last I checked) customers were asked to do so as well. In addition when you try on a pair of glasses, you place them on a tray where they get cleaned instead of back on the shelf as you would have done in the past. There are cleaning items for the staff and hand sanitizer as well. I also noticed a "selfie station" in one corner was currently closed to the public. The staff was as nice as ever. They're also very good at communicating with each other and coordinating care of customers. This is one of the features that has kept me a loyal customer over the years. On this particular visit I was purchasing a pair of non-prescription sunglasses and from start to finish it only took about 25 minutes for them to get a rep to help me, find the glasses and adjust them. If you need more incentive to shop here, the company (claims to be) 100% carbon neutral and for every pair of glasses purchased they donate one to the charity VisionSpring. I'll definitely continue to be a customer! read more

~ "We don't want to make it too loose." ~ Recently brought my Caswell (Shoreline) for an adjustment. After noticing it was too tight on the handles, I brought it back. One of the guys said, "It shouldn't be too loose." That's funny considering a female employee tightened it to begin with. He rubbed some oil on it and didn't do anything else. It was still tight. I went to this SoHo location for a third time and saw a manager. I told him my story. The manager couldn't care less. He wasn't empathetic and very quiet. I told him I wanted a refund and he told an employee to give me my money back. The guy who setup my refund was more empathetic and had the most professional attitude. He was easy to talk to. Cool dude. All this could've been avoided if the original employee had loosened the Caswell glasses. I'll keep my Amelia glasses for two years and decide what I'll do next. read more

I'm wearing my Warby's right now and I'm very satisfied. I've been testing my progressives out for over a month now and they're great. Warby Parker has a great selection. The people at the Soho location are very helpful. The place is big, easy to get around, and they are practicing Covid safe policies. I felt confident and safe inside the store. WP has a great return policy. My BF got a frame with progressive lenses there. He ended up not liking how the frame felt on his face. Warby Parker has GREAT customer service, but a very mediocre product. I bought my glasses around two years ago and after about 1 year, I began to notice that the lenses were quite foggy. I thought that they were just constantly dirty for some reason?? But it was actually because Warby Parker glasses were scratched to the MAX. It is now to the point where it definitely hinders my vision. And although this is my own fault for not going to get new glasses, I feel that this really speaks to the quality of WP glasses. I used to always buy super cheap $20 glasses from my eye doctor because I didn't feel it was necessary to drop so much on frames. However, even just being $20, these glasses would last me YEARS and with very minimal wear and tear. WP, as I mentioned, definitely has a very friendly staff and cool service to try glasses right from your home. However, the product is TERRIBLE. It might seem ~ hip ~ but I really feel like they are marketing a very cheap product to an audience that is willing to pay (including myself). read more

Once you hit six months you are on your own. they won't repair or replace lenses after 6 months. throw that pair out and they will make you buy a whole new pair. $400 bucks for my new glasses here and 450$ and my old "Boutique" location. I was initially pleased by being able to choose some nice frames at their shop in Walt Whitman mall, and ordered progressive lenses for much less than my optician charged. However the lenses are polycarbonate, so you need a cleaning solution to maintain them - napkins and soap and water won't work. My old glasses had glass lenses and this wasn't a concern - alcohol and a paper towel were more than adequate. Now I may have to purchase some real glass lenses and frames in addition to these cheap junk lenses. I guess you get taken for a ride no matter where you buy glasses these days. Doubt I'll buy from Warby Parker again though. read more

I love this store. Staff are professional and friendly. I needed new glasses badly since my eye sight had gotten worst. Because of Covid and then the backlog I couldn't get an eye exam until 8/14. I was super excited since I was expecting to get my glasses a week later on 8/21. I was keeping track of the delivery date since I needed the glasses pretty badly. I had noticed at some point the expected delivery date was changed to 8/28 and the order was still being "worked on". I received an survey and completed it with such information. I received an email on 8/24 that my "order was marked as delivered". I was super confused and asked for a tracking number. Upon my request I received another email stating they "double checked and see that it is currently being prepped for shipment from our lab". Yesterday I checked on the order online and see the expected delivery date is now 8/31. Today it says estimated delivery 8/29-9/1. We'll see when my glasses actually arrives. Checking on USPS shows the tracking number given was created but has not been actually shipped. Still waiting to "see" pun intended. read more

This was my first time going into a Warby Parker store and I loved the vibe. It was clean, organized, and there was someone to greet you when you walked in. I had gone in because the temple arms of the glasses I ordered online needed adjusting. The process was super quick! The lady upfront took my email and told me to wait in the back area. I went on a weekend day, so it was pretty empty. I literally walked back, sat, and got up after 5 seconds because my name was called. I told the guy the problem and it took 5 minutes to get the job done. So happy! They were very friendly... maybe a little too friendly for us New Yorkers. Side note: my new lenses have very small dots (might be air bubbles?) by the edges. The glasses were $95, so I shouldn't complain. For now, I'll let it slide (I NEED them because clumsy me, stepped on my other pair). There's a 1 year limit on scratches, so I'll probably get them replaced before then. I can't tell you how pleased I was when I stepped into this store. I was greeted by a cute, friendly woman who inquired if I needed assistance selecting glasses. I did, I explained, and I was a bit overwhelmed because I've never needed glasses before. And the store is jam-packed with options! She introduced me to Jake, who selected a few pairs for me to try. I thought the first black rimmed pair might be a bit large on my face, but some stranger assured me they weren't (who asked you? but seriously, it was helpful). We went through a few more pairs and I found one that I really liked. People fiddled and measured things and I was all set to go. But it turns out that since I need progressive lenses, they're more expensive ($200!) and I hadn't even thought to check my insurance. I called them, which just made things more confusing, so I decided to check my options and come back the next day. Jake waited patiently while I figured all that out. (It turns out one of the places that takes my insurance charges way more for the frames but less for the lenses, so the price more or less evens out. I popped in another store but nothing jumped out at me like they did here. I didn't feel like schlepping to a third store, so I returned.) I expected to be way more indecisive and was definitely happier going into the store to try glasses on than to order online. But whatever works for you! The next day, someone more rushed helped me. I ordered the glasses and will get them soon. Will post again after I see how I like them! Also, Warby Parker is a registered B Corp, so yay, they deserve your business. read more

Slow on delivery, checked out on providing information, and infuriatingly sleepy about customer questions. Question: "When will my glasses come in? " Answer: "We just sell the glasses. The lab gets the frame and lens. We'll know when they get here." But I told you I needed them by Monday. "It's already been six days. You'll get them sometime next week." Just not cutting it. Luckily, they gave me a copy of my prescription today. Warby hit my credit card immediately. Now I'll get back-up glasses from Lens Crafter. Can't be worse. read more

I scratched my glasses and phone to place an order for an expedited pair. After a very pleasant conversation with the WP associate, I thought my glasses would have arrived yesterday or today, as stated after I paid the fee. Not finding my glasses in the mail this afternoon, I checked the WP website to find my glasses were shipped standard. I called again. The associate offered to refund the expedited shipping fee. I had to notice and call them to inquire about services not rendered for a fee that was charged. When I spoke to management, she said there wasn't anything else that could be done. I've purchased 3 pairs of glasses and a pair of sunglasses since December 2017. Never again. Clearly WP is a volume business and doesn't care about customers. read more

I came here by subway, it's on a cool cobbled/brick street. Make sure you push the door instead of pulling on the handle as a dork like me. Two team members welcomed me in, and I came an hour early for my eye appointment, so take some time to try on some eye glasses. There is a small couch in the back of the store, you can sit and wait there if you like. It may not be noticeable at first, but there are selections for narrower faces, so just ask anyone there and they will point you in the right area. My appointment was fast and easy, got some sample contacts as well as my prescription done, and waiting for my pair to come in. Overall, I had an easy and great experience there, everyone was helpful, everything was fast an easy, and got a low cost pair of eyeglasses to boot. read more

This is my first time getting reading glasses at Warby Parker. It works similarly to prescription glasses; they don't stock pre-fab readers, rather you select a frame and your desired lens strength. The staff was super helpful and attentive during the selection process. I just picked up the glasses now, a little over a week later, and so far I'm very happy with them! The frames I chose are kind of "statementy" though that's clearly not a word lol. Like thick, dark, and hipstery? They're called "Winston." It's really busy in here right now so I had to wait about ten minutes. When I chose my frames there was zero wait time though. I have RX glasses from here also, and I've only been happy with them. The frames really are stylin' here, and the selection is pretty extensive, so it seems like there would be something for everyone here. Unless you're into like those off-the-wall chartreuse German metal frames!! I love Warby and wholeheartedly recommend the in-store experience in Soho. I've not used the online services. read more

I had to replace my frames that cracked on the side. I stopped by their soho location on my lunch break for the first time and was assisted by Maggie. She was quick and friendly, and the store followed a safe protocol to keep all guests comfortable. You could still try on frames, and you would place whatever you touched on a tray so that one of the associates can clean them right away for the next customer. I've been a Warby Parker customer for about 7 years now, and I appreciate entering an establishment where they listen to your concerns. I want to start off with saying that I've been to this location numerous times and have received excellent service, but what happened today definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. It was quite packed, no social distancing enforced, heck, most customers didn't even have a mask on which was unsettling. Right when we went in, we were greeted by someone at the front who told us to look around- not a problem with that. However, what happened after went completely downhill. We had made up our minds about what to get, and we stood around for 10 minutes before deciding to look for help because we were ignored by everyone. A group of workers were huddled close to the entrance chatting and my boyfriend had to interrupt them to finally get us some help- first red flag. The guy that eventually came and helped us was.. nonchalant? Annoyed? He helped my boyfriend out with the lenses, during which I asked if I could get help with prescription sunglasses, and he said "Ask me the questions now." I felt weirded out but did ask the question I had in mind, and he gave me an answer, but I thought he understood that I wanted detailed help with choosing and recommending styles, the service that everyone else around us seemed to be receiving- second red flag. After we paid for the my boyfriend's glasses, I asked if we could combine orders since it would be easier to pay and get it shipped together, but was met with a rude response by him saying no, you can't do that, while mumbling about something regarding prescriptions that neither of us understood. Then he ran off to help someone else before I could ask for the help I needed. At this point, I was pretty put off and I almost didn't want to spend any more money just from that horrendous attitude, but I convinced myself and decided to keep looking. Again, no help from anyone and was never approached. I was starting to wonder if we were invisible. I finally decided on a pair of sunglasses and- you guessed it- we stood around for ANOTHER 10 minutes looking around for help before this lovely girl ran out from the back and saved us from our misery. She is the reason I'm adding back on a star. Nevertheless, this was the most disappointing experience I've ever had with Warby Parker. Love the lenses, love the company, but I'm probably never coming back to this location again. read more

Warby Parker has one of the friendliest staff I've ever met. They are very accomodating and will make sure you are satisfied with your purchase. Their frames are great and less expensive compared to other chain stores and will adjust your frames to make sure they fit very well. I also love the fact that they have a good return/exchange policy and not make you feel shitty about it unlike Cohen's. Lol. I had been wanting to get frames from Warby Parker for a while now. Since my driver's license is expiring next month, I had to get an eye exam in order to renew it. Being that it was two years since my last exam (oops), I saw this as the perfect excuse to kill two birds with one stone. I initially learned about WP through my father and a couple of friends who had gotten frames from them. After doing my own research, I learned about their business model and the services they provide which sold it for me. I booked my eye exam online which was pretty easy - they called me the day before to confirm and when I arrived I just had to answer a couple of questions on a form. The eye exam was painless - I was the first appointment of the day and really didn't have to wait at all. The store itself looks like the Apple Store but with glasses instead of gadgets - lots of clean lines and super organized. A plethora of frames line both sides of the store, though they are mirror images of each other so in reality you only need to browse one side. One of the employees explained that all the frames are unisex and they were arranged by frame shape. After I picked out the frame I wanted, one of the employees entered in my order along with my prescription and said the frames would be delivered to me. He also said the prescription was good for two years and I could use it for ordering frames online as well. The price was right - most frames are around $95 which includes the lenses; I had to do a double take because I'm so used paying separately for lenses and frames (at much higher prices). Overall I was super impressed with Warby Parker - the whole experience was seamless from start to finish, and the employees were really friendly and helpful. Then I was told I could wait to see if the next customer no-showed, which, of course, they did not. I get the need to run things on time but there isn't an optometrist in the world who would turn away a paying customer who showed up 8m late. First time client and didn't have a good experience. After three weeks of waiting, I finally decided to call customer service and see what was wrong. I was told my doctor never faxed over my prescription, ok shame on him/me. I was told that someone was trying to get in touch with me but they spelled my email wrong. So I updated my email with customer service, sent over my prescription the same night, and was told shipping would be expedited for the inconvenience, expecting my glasses within 4-6 business days. After 7 business days with no follow up, I decided to walk in and see if they were ready. They were certainly ready and available for pick up, but I got no message saying so. My email was updated, so why didn't I receive an email? I guess y'all don't call your clients either? I work retail, I get it. However, prescription glasses are rather important. I wish a little more effort was put in to getting in contact with me, especially after waiting a month for my glasses. read more

I just recently started needing glasses for work. I had a prescription and went to their store at the Scottsdale quarter. I picked a pair of glasses to have progressive lenses put in that I thought looked good on me. The sales associate did not tell me that the bridge was too large for my nose. So now I've had the glasses for maybe 2 months and notice they are sliding down my nose. Since it's been over a month since I got them they told me I'm SOL and they can't help reimburse me, though their staff did not care to help me pick out which would be best for me. The guy at Costco as much more helpful and said this company will sell anything to people and they don't care if it works for you or not. read more

I got my new prescription glasses at this Soho location. Friendly staff helped pick my frame and doc had my eyes checked pretty fast after a short wait. Got a call when it was ready for pickup. Many months later I managed to fall on my glasses and one of the legs got bent. I came in and asked it it could be repaired. I was told that the repair would not be more than temporary since there was a crack. Of course I was crushed. They asked me to wait and lo and behold they had another exact frame downstairs and replaced my frame. Again, friendly service! read more

Definitely the place to go if you want trendy, chic, quality eyeglasses at a moderate price! My overall experience at this Warby Parker went beyond my expectations. I was in need of new eyeglasses, so a friend recommended WP. Since there were so many locations in NY, I turned to yelp and thought the SoHo location would be the best. And it was.. I walked in and was immediately greeted by an associate, then I met Gabriella who made sure I would get the proper help I needed. I told her what kind of look I wanted, and she immediately pulled 4 types that would look well on me, according to the look I wanted. She gave me her honest opinion and even brought over another associate to help me decide. I finally chose the Laurel in Tea Rose Fade. After I chose my glasses frame, I gave her my prescription and she put the order in right away. The frames, lenses, and shipping costs no more than $125. As she was putting my order in, another associate adjusted my current eyeglasses that I was wearing that were basically falling apart. I went in on Monday and spent no more than 20 minutes there and received my new eyeglasses on Wednesday morning on my doorstep. That same day, I went in to have them adjusted, which was a fast process as well. Overall, this WP not only had great products, but they also presented great customer service and went beyond my expectations. I don't get the appeal, to be honest. I came to Warby Parker on a Sunday afternoon, since I had heard people talk about how nice and trendy the glasses were. The store was packed to the gills, which was already stressful. There was not really any staff members that seemed available to help me and I had to compete to check out the products on the shelves with overbearing girlfriends who were there to give their boyfriends fashion advice. Customers aside, there are a ton of frames, and they are all basic. I don't understand people who think these glasses are sooo trendy. They are fine, they aren't dated or anything, but they have all the same stuff everyone else wears. It's the pumpkin spice of glasses. Liking pumpkin spice doesn't make you a bad person, but you are crazy if you think you are cutting edge because of it, you know? The frames are less expensive than many places, but the quality isn't any better than Zenni and they are much more expensive than that. I went around the corner to SEE and found a much more hip selection. I paid more, but at least I won't be wearing face Uggs. read more
