Had to replace 14 year old defective AC portion of HVAC but told had to replace entire HVAC system by Warner salesman. WE always had a problem with cooling the upstairs adequately. Were told by salesman that this unit would "freeze us out upstairs". Unit was the Prestige Series by Rheem. 1st year it ran perfect. NO it did NOT cool the upstairs as described but we overlooked that because builder was a screwup anyway. The 1st year was the hottest in Maryland history! Ran perfect. Cooled adequately but not upstairs.Heating was never an issue at any time. June of second year(still under warranty) ACportion starting failing. Alarms on EcoNet panel all day everyday. Called for service...supposededly fixed...WRONG! Back the next week....fixed..WRONG.....called for service again. Fixed...WRONG!!! No when we called for service...company would answer Press1 for Service then phone line went dead. Had to call Warners Hagerstown Office for them to call Frederick office to reach them. Turns out they had our home phone number on BLOCK. But if I called from cell phone they would answer right away! This went on for June and July....Different techs would give us different reasons why it was failing. Even told us the Govt rules suggested "never to cool house below 70F". WRONG! Continued alarms...house inside temps were 5-10 degrees hotter what thermostat was set to cool even during the night. Condensation started to appear all over duct work. "A" coil" started to freeze up with ice and defrost water all over basement floor. Unit was NOT dehumidifying while cooling either. Had to buy 2 dehumidifiers at $700 and they had to cut addtl air outlets into duct work. Problem still there for alarms but condensation was eliminated except for MBR where water dripped from ceiling. We contacted the manufacturer, Rheem, and found out that Warner did NOT do a "site survey" per Rheem's requirements. A Rheem HQ rep was assigned our complaint but NEVER called once! The local area Rheem rep was sent out along with Contractor on 3 occasions. When still failing the Rheem HQ sent East Coast Rep out. We then learned that Rheem had no qualified AC tech in our area and that Wagner did not have a Rheem AC qualified tech to service unit properly. Circuit boards were replaced but still failed. Yes the unit did cool below 70F but major mechanical alarms continued. District rep talked down to us that we did not know how to operate unit correctly yet completely disregarding the fact that year 1 it ran 100% perfect! I had 50 pages of alarm photographs and tech service reports. Finally Rheem would replace with unit with lesser model for free or we could take them to court. Without reimbursement for lesser unit costs. I filed a complaint with Consumer Protection Div. Warner's lawyer became involved and we were lied to, and Attorney General, by both counselor and Warner continually. YES we did receive a rebate for price difference...FINALLY. Unit has been replaced and "dumbed down". The unit was DEFECTIVE!!! Plain and simple! This company is unethical, lies, distorts the truth and the manufacturer is worthless! Customer service is NOT part of their agenda. All accusations are memorialized in writings/emails. Do your comparisons and get reccomandations from friends first but don;t get Warner to be the Contractor and Rheem the manufacturer. Can partially excuse the techs not being trained but not Management. Inexcusable, unethical and downright RUDE! read more

Long time customer (10 yrs. +), have used them since buying new home and having them repair deficits in plumbing from builder that fled state. Have always found them professional and good at problem solving. Recently replaced worn out builders grade HVAC and job was excellent with quality brands. If you're looking for cheap, look elsewhere, but I have found them worth the difference. They show up as scheduled, do quality work, and stand behind their work. At last heating system maintenance cycle impressed w/ tech. Cory W.'s thoroughness and efforts. My neighbors wind up paying more with callbacks and no shows. I had Warner Service install a new HVAC system on November 12th, 2025. I initially met with Justin. He came out to do a quote. He was extremely nice, very knowledgeable and explained the entire process to me. The two technicians, Ben and Jose did an excellent job on the installation!! They too were both extremely nice, very professional and very knowledgeable! They answered all of my questions and they cleaned up after themselves when the job was completed. I needed a hot water heater replacement and a new toilet. I also needed a new faucet installed at the bathroom sink and a handheld shower head with a hose for my tub. Noticed a pinhole leak in the hot water copper line leading away from our water heater. Called Warner Frederick and Kelly set up and repaired for later the same day, which was so much appreciated. Our hot water heater died over the weekend. RW Warner arrived to access and we needed a new HW heater. One could not be found in Frederick, MD so they started calling around and found one in Hagerstown, MD. RW Warner drove up to Hagerstown got the HW heater and installed it all in the same day.
