Cold Comfort was our 3rd company to provide an estimate and to come out to assess my unit, etc. The owner, Gabriel was the reason we made this company our choice. He was down to earth, honest and provided solid reasons why they choose the products they use. Our unit was over 25 years old, had served us well and I was unfamiliar with some of the other brands being offered now. We were a "Carrier" family. They were immediate in responding with a same day appointment for the service call and we were scheduled for installation withon the same week On the day of installation, his amazing team arrived right in time w/ cheer and professionalism. They explained what they were doing and how, lines my floors with cloths and covered their shoes to avoid a major mess, they were efficient and communicated with us throughout the removal and installation process. They cleaned up after themselves leaving us with very little to do other than dust. They showed us how everything worked, how to troubleshoot if need be and how to communicate if there were questions or issues. In total, Cold Comfort replaced the entire HVAC system, our humidifier, thermostat and then several days later, our water heater! Whew!!! We have been extremely pleased with everything so far and are grateful we found such a wonderful company to work with before winter! We highly recommend Cold Comfort HVAV services! Jary (who helped us when we first moved in) came out on Tuesday and said we had a leak somewhere since the closed-system unit was totally out of coolant. He came back Weds. to do the leak detection and found the leak, recommended a new coil. We had the new coil installed on Friday; this time it was Ricardo and team that did the work installing the coil. They did a great job and a couple hours later our house was back to normal temperature. Gabriel helped us with all the coordination and estimates and seeing if the part was still under warranty (it wasn't, but I didn't expect it would be honestly.) No one likes spending a bunch of money on repairs but I'm very confident that the recommendations Jary made were sound and correct. He did not attempt to upsell me at all, which is greatly appreciated. (The estimates Gabriel sent did include options for replacing the unit, but that wasn't necessary at this time and there was no pressure to do so.) I will continue to call them if we have issues in future with our HVAC system.

I called around 2:30 during the recent snow storm, but main level of my house had no heat as it stopped working. The office manager that answered the phone was very nice and helpful and communicated with me even after calling. The technician, Mitch was punctual, polite, and very knowledgeable. He educated me on a somewhat new system, while making quick work of the diagnosis and repair. All of this, while the service ticket was barely two hours old. Mitch quickly repaired everything and was extremely polite throughout the whole process. They have plenty of payment options (card, cash, or check). The only thing I can recommend is to perhaps follow-up with the customer after their service to ensure everything is still working properly, but that is very minor. I would use them again, 10/10 recommend.

They were professional, efficient, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of our questions throughout the process. The installation of our two mini split systems went smoothly, and the quality of work really shows. The installation took 2 days like they said it would with 2 outside units and 6 indoor units. I felt like they were honest about what I needed, didn't try and up sell me things I didn't need and respectful when I asked for time to consider my options. Once we decided to go with them they scheduled us with in a week. The install was fast and I barely even knew they were in the house. Everything is working great and we are really happy that we decided to go with a local company. I am very picky and do extensive research before any major purchase. There was an initial mixup about the appointment time, but that was soon sorted, and Saul contacted me prior to his arrival and arrived on time. Quickly getting to work, he identified the problem with our gas insert. He was able to fix the immediate problem to return it to working order and then explained what was happening and why.
