Love this place. Great food and excellent service. My family takes me here for my birthday every year for the past couple of years at my request. They love it too. My very favorites are the beef stroganoff, the macaroni and cheese and a hamburger. Loved the dessert hoho cake so good. Didn't have last time I was there last month but the other chocolate cake was good too. Hope they get the hoho cake back by the middle of September. read more

Overpriced with serious food quality issue. We've been there twice and did not even attempt to take left overs home. The stroganoff beef was inedible and full of gristle. And they still charge $23 for it. The atmosphere is good. Its a shame you can't eat it. read more

We had a wonderful afternoon and meal! We chose outdoor seating. The only downside of that decision was the traffic noise. We were delighted to find so many gluten-free items on the menu. We chose roasted brussels sprouts for our appetizer. The finishing touch was a maple syrup glaze. Yum! The chicken salad platter was beautifully presented with mixed greens and fresh pineapple, strawberries, and blackberries. Delicious! Maybe if we sat inside it could have been 4 stars, but the mosquitoes were viscous. The table next to us got up and left after a drink and the other tables were constantly swatting and spraying repellent. If you don't give this place five stars you're crazy, it is amazing! Not only is it cute as a button on the inside, but they have a dog friendly patio! Every single thing we ordered was the best thing we had ever eaten! We will definitely be back--time and time again. I really hope and pray that the chef never leaves. We had the Burton Eggs Benedict and the Frittata. Warm whole grain bread was served with a nice olive oil. The cheesy potatoes were amazing, and the kale accompanying the eggs benedict was surprisingly tender and tangy. Service was a little slow for a weekday midafternoon, but they may be experiencing a staff shortage as are so many other businesses. Our patience was rewarded. read more

Good food, fair value. My filet was a tender cut and cooked to perfection, but over seasoned. Baked potato was way over cooked, parts were completely stuck to the skin, hardened on. The dehumidifier running in the dining room was strange and unappealing. Service was friendly, but slow. We'll try again in the future. read more

It's high class meets low class. Half the room is sophisticated and the other half belong at a dive bar. There was a musician this evening that couldn't be heard over the loud bar talk of fighting another guest. When I attempted to discuss this with the bartender he said that the establishment serves all types of patrons. He clearly knew the regulars and didn't mind that the dining room was affected by them. Warrens used to be the best place to go in Burton, but not anymore. I have a gift card that was given to me by Kent State University that I will give back to management or the university rather than suffer through another night of uncomfortable dining. read more

I went in August of 2016 and he weather couldn't have been better. The patio outside along the street made for some perfect people watching and ambience. If in season I highly recommend the heirloom tomato salad. Oh my word the cheese and the fresh tomatoes that come with us the best best best I've ever had. Their Brussel sprouts are great as well. Delightfully creative and unexpected! The chef greets each patron with a fascinating culinary mind trip - a pallet cleanser. They are different each night. Ours was pear bits with lemon purée on honey accompanied by a peanut. The flavors hit every note. What a fun experience! The wait staff are very friendly and incredibly knowledgable about each unique dish and how it is prepared. Our meal was the marrow crusted ribeye with root vegetables. Incredibly delicious! It melted in mouth like butter. Dessert was a bread pudding with apples, walnuts and a maple glaze. Warren's is THE place to dine in Geauga County. Word is spreading, so make a reservation. Wow. Completely awesome dinner experience, from the apps and drinks on through to the desert and digestifs. We haven't had a dining experience like this, anywhere, since the Monterey peninsula. If you enjoy great cuisine in a relaxed setting, and in Burton of all places, get here now. Update, 30 July: Nice new additions to the menu, all in keeping with the "just a little bit different" theme of their overall menu. Stumbled upon Warren's Spirited Kitchen on a Friday day off excursion. What a great find! Located on Burton square, we were able to grab a table on their pretty patio. Menu provided a variety of options which are all appealing to the" foodie" in me but not "scary" to those who prefer standard options. Nicole, our server, was helpful and friendly and was able to speak to the wine and food options confidently even though she has only been on the job for one month. We will visit again when we venture out East. read more

Charming, cozy and top-notch. Drinks were good (and they seem to have nightly drink specials), and the four meals we ordered couldn't be faulted... except for that they were maybe $2-4 higher than they should be. I came up to little burton Ohio to see thing and check things out saw this Warren's spirited kitchen and thought I would give it a go. Unfortunately the chef here is in love with rosemary a little to much as we sat there we ordered our food there isn't any prices on the menus so I knew it would be over priced but boy was I surprised to find out a 12oz is 32 dollars and they can't even cook it right unless you ask for it to be burnt. I ordered mine Medium and it came out (well )I understand I speak with a little bit of a West Virginia accent but I thought the world renown chef knew the difference. We were passing through the area and wanted to stop by for a bite to eat. We were thrilled that we didn't have to wait to be seated, however we did experience a bit of sticker shock looking at the menu prices and options. My husband is a total foodie, so he immediately knew he wanted to order the Cheese Board assortment. The rest of us ate the fresh bread that the waitress brought out. It was good and I liked that I got to add my own salt and pepper for flavor. As for entrees, I ordered the Angus Bolognese. It was pretty tasty, but there was no way I could eat all of it. The portion mimicked that of a dinner entree. We were traveling so I couldn't take a box for my left overs (so it felt like a hefty price to pay). I wish they had offered a more affordable and smaller lunch portion. My friend ordered the Vegetable Frittata and though she too said it tasted good, she didn't feel it was worth $14. Contrary to my issue, her portion was pretty small ( I assume since it was listed under "Breakfast" items). My hubby loved the Cheese Board (happy he didn't have to share it too!) and he ordered the Angus Beef Burger for lunch. He said it was alright, a bit charred and again... not worth $15. As for the staff, we had no complaints. They were very friendly and prompt. I guess the bottom line is that the food is good, atmosphere is cozy...but you'll pay for it. If you're on vacation, have money to spend and nearby, why not give it a try?! read more

We made reservations for Fathers Day. Loved the atmosphere of the restaurant which also had a very nice patio for dining. The food was FANTASTIC! Highly recommend the Nashville Hot Chicken & Funnel Cake. The chicken melted in my mouth it was so tender. We also had the veggie paella and the cheese fondue - both also outstanding. I would also highly recommend the Maple Brie Polenta - it started a huge celebration for my taste buds. Will be going back here for sure. read more

Of particular note is the walnut soup, which has a velvety texture and a hint of miso. The chicken liver pate is a flavorful starter. The clams garnished with sweet potato are succulent, and the toast allowed me to scoop up every bite of the smooth, buttery sauce. My husband's steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare, and his request to substitute the amazing Brussels sprouts was graciously honored. This menu is small, but it has nashville hot chicken with a funnel cake. WITH A FUNNEL CAKE! I have never been to a restaurant( besides at a fair) that serves funnel cakes with their meals. The chicken was almost fall apart even though it was fried. I am not sure I have had more tender chicken. The menu is small, but the vibe is nice. It is a quieter place, great views of the small town, and an outdoor area as well. We ate inside due to the 95 degree heat on the day we went. Bread is served before the meal with olive oil, and we also were lucky enough to try the maple brie polenta. The perfect amount of maple, and cheese were combined to make this quite the treat for the tastebuds. The other options on the menu looked great as well, but I would recommend this on a date night for sure. Not a great place for a huge get together, but for a family night out, or date night A+.
