Didn't know this place existed until I saw it on Yelp. It was a bit confusing at first when first pulling up to the place ss there is no sign outside that says "warrior cafe" As you enter inside and turn right, you'll see the small dining room. The pricing is really great compared to other restaurants in the area. Good breakfast food! Steak was a bit overcooked but i still enjoyed it

While in the DC area for a family funeral at Arlington National Cemetery last week, 10 of the cousins gathered for breakfast at Warrior Cafe Post 176 before parting ways. From the street, you wouldn't even know they have a restaurant, as it is inside the American Legion building. Thankfully, I found good reviews on Yelp and we decided to try it. All of us really enjoyed the breakfast! The servings are pretty large and the food was cooked well. All the tables were served by one waitress/server and she was good. We didn't have to wait long for anything and she came by to check on us often. Impressive! I recommend this little place if you are in the area!

I've been wanting to try the cafe for sometime. We had breakfast here here a couple of times. Food is good, nice portions, and good service. Prices are very reasonable.

I was passing through the area and coming across Warrior Cafe Post 176 was a happy accident. It's a basic diner with a general menu but the food was delicious! With large portions and inexpensive prices you simply can't go wrong. The ladies who work there were very warm and welcoming.

This place is a hole in the wall type place, but the breakfast food was cheap (no taxes and prices low) and delicious. I need to find one like this in the Atlanta area since I've moved. I recommend this place to the highest!

Sausage, Egg, & Cheese, home fries. Added grits and Belgium waffle. Food pretty decent and level of comfortability good.

Food pretty decent. Service good and friendly. Ambiance nice but nothing spectacular.

Scrapple with butter grits and eggs. Delicious.

Warrior Cafe is a hidden gem with great breakfast and lunch. The food reminds me of home, butter grits, scrapple, eggs, pancakes, and fried chicken. Not all at once, of course. Sonya, our server has a wonderful personality and attentive service. The food is delicious and affordable.

As such today's visit went exceptionally well although it could have been just OK. Thanks to Hyme, I enjoyed real fried chicken with my waffle instead of chicken tenders. The place is 24/7 and it is a big plus for those who can't find anything around Springfield when it's late. When it's late night, it can be kind of rough when it's packed with people coming from the bar next door or just a sudden group of hungry people wanting their breakfast fix. Like any breakfast places, it's quick, it's cheap, and affordable at a reasonable price. I went with what was comfort for me; Country Fried Steak with Scrambled Eggs and Hash Browns with White Toast. The sausage gravy that the used on the Country Fried Steak? It elevates it to a whole new level. Eggs tasted buttery, and Hash Browns crispy with a nice side of grease coming to it. I can't really complain because this is something I eat once in a while but it's my guilty pleasure. Overall, you can't go wrong with Bob & Edith's. They are just open at any time and you are rest assured that your breakfast will be good as mine.

My husband had the Bacon cheeseburger, 10 out of 10! I had the chicken tenders with coleslaw and sweet potato fries, again a 10 out of 10! Green tomato appetizer, good but a little different. I prefer a New Orleans style. Great draft beer selection! We really enjoyed our meal, and Brynna was one of the servers we have encountered. Since the reservation form asked if we were celebrating anything, I hoped we would be placed in a special area or at least somewhere more intimate. Unfortunately, that was not the case. We were led up a staircase, which offered a cool view of the environment, but ended up at a small table in a small high traffic area. Initially, we thought it was a unique experience because of the restaurant's interior design, but we soon realized it was going to be uncomfortable...because heat rises and we were stuck upstairs with so many other people who seemed just as warm as us. It was excessively hot, and I found myself fanning myself with one of the menus at the table. While our server was probably trying his best, the service left much to be desired. We were eager to leave as soon as we arrived. After ordering and enjoying what we could of our meals, which were quite good, we just wanted to leave. However, our server was absent for a long time, leaving us stuck at the table. Instead of being a cute little anniversary dinner, it just turned out to be a disappointing experience at a new restaurant

I was intrigued by the pastrami sandwich options on the menu and really appreciated that gluten free bread was an option, so I had to try it! I was not disappointed at all. The sandwich was hefty - packed with meat, and flavorful. I'm not sure I liked the pile of salad that comes on the side - it's a lot to finish for one person and seems a bit wasteful. The service was good, but the sandwiches did take a bit longer than expected to come out. That might not be the case for other dishes though. I would certainly visit again!

For example, yesterday, I had their Peter's Special, a sandwich made from 1/2 lb of pastrami and 1/2 lb of corned beef. Except that it's not "a" sandwich, but three, all on delicious rye bread, each with its own pickle, and a small helping of slaw, sauerkraut, and a major pile of salad. It was my lunch yesterday; the remaining two sandwiches are my lunch today and tomorrow. That's three meals for $30, which, to me, is a reasonable price. The problem was that the more they do to create the food, the less flavorful it is. For example, on another recent visit, I had their Country Style Omelet. Again, it was huge and contained everything that goes into a great omelet. Except, there wasn't a lot of flavor. And that seems to be the theme. I grabbed a slice of their 24-layer cake and, again, big but not much taste beyond sweetness. If you crave a lot of food, then this might be the spot for you. However, if you prefer less and more, smaller portions with better, more nuanced flavor, then maybe try one of the other nearby restaurants.

There was a second birthday party in full swing, yet the family who owns the restaurant greeted us with such warmth and kindness and invited us to sit wherever we felt comfortable. You can immediately tell this is a place built on heart, humility, and truly good people. The service stood out in the best way. I asked whether the Caesar dressing contained anchovies due to a pregnancy restriction, and although our server wasn't completely sure, he handled it with care and thoughtfulness. He brought the dressing on the side and offered to swap it entirely out of an abundance of caution, which meant a lot and showed how much they value their guests' comfort. And the food. Absolutely delicious. Every dish tasted fresh and authentic, and the sauces alone are worth coming back for. You can tell everything is made with intention and pride. What really makes this place special, though, is the feeling you leave with. By the end of dinner, it doesn't feel like you just ate at a restaurant. It feels like you were welcomed into a family. As for the food, the cod was really good but could have used a bit more seasoning and citrus. The rice pilaf is no different than most, bland. However, it complimented the cod fish.
