Good vibes for drinking! However, one of the bouncers (dark hair, tattoos) grabbed me and my other friend and left bruises on my arm because I was laughing too hard. Heard lots of complaints about him doing this to other woman too.

Good vibes at the Shack on 8th. From the chill outdoor setup to the live entertainment and fun lawn games (cornhole, jumbo Jenga, Connect 4--you name it), this spot brought good energy all weekend long. We enjoyed it so much we came twice during our VA Beach trip! Their crushes are a must -- the Strawberry Lemonade and Honey Habanero were fan favorites in our group. We also grabbed some nachos and cheese curds for quick apps -- tasty, fast, and perfect for sharing while hanging out. Definitely a 10/10 recommend for anyone looking for a good time at the beach!

    Chips and queso

The Shack had good drinks, but the food from the food bus was honestly some of the worst food I've had. I tried the smokeshack brisket sandwich and chips and queso. The brisket was very chewy, but the fries were decent. The chips were stale and the queso was cold and watery. The service was quick and responsive. Also, the ambiance was very nice. The lights, outside seating, games, and movie night they had were all nice touches. I would only recommend going for the drinks and atmosphere. The main shack kitchen was closed at the time, so I can't speak to that. But I would definitely not try the food bus menu.

I appreciate parking being available on the side street right near the restaurant. It's $5 for the first hour and $2 every additional hour. The greeter was kind and led me to the group I was joining. We sat near the fire pit, which was nice on a sunny but chilly day. The vibes and ambience are immaculate. The waitress was great at taking care of the group and coming back and forth to see if we needed anything. A + on the service. I ordered a orange crush and jerk tacos with chips and salsa. The orange crush was a 10/10, plus dying happy hour, they are $5. The tacos were okay, nothing spectacular. I had to spruce them up with the salsa for the chips. The jerk flavor was bland. I will be back for drinks and vibes. Oh and they have games.

We came to the shack to check out their Easter festivities and pop up market. There was a free Easter egg hunt with candy for the kids, and plenty of handmade items for sale from different vendors. Of course we decided to get food while we were there, which was honestly a little disappointing. They only had one of their kitchens open since it's technically still the off season, so I can't compare to how the food is when their full menu is available, however the portion sizes for the prices was sad. Our waitress was fantastic and very sweet, and the atmosphere was fun, with plenty of outside entertainment to keep everyone busy. Overall, I would definitely recommend checking this place out, especially with their full drink menu! Just be prepared to pay exorbitant prices for subpar food.

Atmosphere: incredible Drinks: well-priced and good Service: great Food: not quite mediocre I guess good food really isn't what draws you in here anyways and it's nice that they have food options, but it was disappointing. However, we had a wonderful time here and will definitely be back for fun afternoons and evenings. Love the vibe with all of the games and the ability to be outdoors. Easy to stay cool with their cooling fans, as well. Crushes were great.

I have been delivered to Brazino Heaven!…read more I have been to Costa Brava Spain, Porto and Nazare Portugal (I'm not bragging - it's context), and I just had The Best Branzino I've ever eaten. I had mine pan seared -OMG! Topped with chimichurri and seared vegetable medley w a An African secret sauce in the side - unbelievable. This is what makes Pacifica my fave on the oceanfront (tourists - your welcome). Make the trip to Pacifica Ave and 34 (?), you'll be happy you did. Also try the chocolate blended drink - if you like White Russians and espresso martinis!

I asked him for a drink recommendation and he was quick and accurate in terms of recommending drinks he thinks I would like Drinks: Pretty good. The Negroni wasn't too bitter and had a good taste to it. I asked the waiter for a drink that was refreshing but not too sweet. He recommended the Lucille which was spot on. Food: This is where I was disappointed. Happy we went during happy hour because none of the food was worth full price. The chicharrones looked like store bought pork rinds and tasted like it too. The potstickers tasted like the frozen ones you get from the grocery store. The shrimp ceviche was essentially tasteless. Once the jalapeño ice cream melted, it tasted a little better but I wish they had served it with more onions and lime to give it more flavor. The goat cheese and olive was good but nothing special. I wish they gave us more bread REPLY TO BUSINESS OWNER: WOW, that was an extremely unprofessional reply. None of the cocktails we ordered were vodka redbull. Thanks for replying and letting me know to never return!

When we came in, we were seated immediately and service was very nice. Our waitress, Tina, was very nice and attentive and we were able to order our food right away. She was also very knowledgeable about the menu. The atmosphere was a little dark and coastal/beach/seafood themed. There were also a lot of flies but I wasn't too turned off because it's the summer and I know flies can sneak in. What did turn me off was that we ordered theraw oyster appetizer and found a hair in one after I ate one. I told Tina and she said the manager took it off our tab. Then I went to eat another one and found another hair. Very disappointed and disgusted. It ruined our meal. We also ordered the shrimp basket where the shrimp were huge but in my opinion lacked flavor but my husband ordered the fried flounder and it was delicious! They also add an automatic 18% gratuity.

Anyways when we got there no one acknowledged us or greeted us for about 10-15 minutes. Clearly was a sign asking to wait to be seated. Someone even came into that dining area looked around, looked at us, and walked away. lol honestly we should have left but we were just hangry. Anyways, all the servers were just running around doing what they could to get everyone situated - when we got there initially it wasn't busy, but about 20-30 after they were packed for sure. Kudos to the wait staff. We did wait a bit for our food but as soon as we sat down someone greeted us and gave us water! Thank you. Our waiter was very nice, not very professional though, like we were talking like we're besties. She really did love her job and was talking everyone up. We love the positive vibes queen. We just weren't having a good day. No fault to her. The food was alright - the fries were not it. We skipped them BUT the nachos 10/10, we had for an appetizer. Got a burger - bacon very overcooked and very greasy but the taste was good. The menu stated the burger came with grilled onions but our server specifically said they don't usually do that? Okay. Said she didn't want the cooks to get mad and yell at her cause it took extra time so we couldn't get that. That really kinda pissed me off. Fried fish was hot and good - tartar sauce was not good but that cocktail sauce 10/10.
