We went with 9 ppl and shared 2 pots 1 with the original & spicy and 1 with spicy miso & tom yum. Lowkey I couldnt tell the difference between all of them cause of my sauce I made but original non spicy was def not spicy compared to the other ones. The service was quick and abrupt like a lot of Asian establishments lol pretty legit. It's pretty open seating with booths on the side and the large tables in the middle for larger parties like ours. It's good vibes, pretty clean, and a hella good deal. I wouldn't get the sushi tbh but everything else, yes plz. I love coming here the day after a night out and this is my happy place. Fun all you can eat/drink hotpot place with chill (early) or lively (late) vibes! Same menu as grand hotpot - we always get the half and half split pot, which has spicy and flavorful nonspicy broths. They don't limit you on number of dishes per round, and they adjust the amount per plate based on the number of people at the table. I really loved this because it meant I got to eat a bit of everything I wanted, and we didn't have to interrupt our eating by reordering! Their aycd is Sapporo, sake, or wine, but they also have a huge selection of non alcoholic drinks like soda and yummy classic Chinese soft drinks included as well. Wasabi Bistro is an AYCE+D hotpot + appetizer restaurant. They no longer serve sushi or a la cart items. We came for lunch $24.98 which is from 12pm-4pm. More items are available during dinner hours but honestly I don't think you're missing out on that much. We arrived around 3pm and were seated with no problems. For our soup base, we tried: *House Spicy Curry *Tonkatsu ~Neither was that flavorful and the curry was definitely NOT spicy!! For a full list of items we ordered, check out my pics. I didn't find anything to be really good. Sadly it just tasted like standard cheap buffet stuff. XLBs were terrible. Green onion pancakes tasted like greasy cardboard. The meats were okay. We ordered: lamb shoulder slices, fatty supreme beef, pork belly, beef trip, frog legs, fish fillet, and clams. You should definitely skip: mixed tempura, spring rolls, and pot stickers. There is a sauce bar and you might need it to give your meats some depth. There is also ice cream located in an odd area. They had red bean, matcha, black sesame and vanilla. They're not high quality by any means but I would go with the red bean and skip the rest. Restaurant seats like a typical Chinese restaurant with booths for hotpot cooking. Metered parking around the area or if you're persistent and don't mind walking, you can drive out a little more to the residential neighborhood. Service was adequate. Very family friendly! We came here for AYCE $36/person hot pot to celebrate a birthday, and birthday actually eats free with valid ID! AYCE includes an assortment of high quality beef cuts, seafood, veggies, cooked entrees, non alcoholic drinks like soymilk and grass jelly, alcohol like sake, beer, and wine, and also complimentary ice cream buffet! All of the meat was very high quality and complimented well with the broth. I definitely recommend sticking to the classics with the original and spicy. My picky eater dad really enjoyed their prawns and fish, and even mentioned wanting to go back for their original soup base! He was a huge fan, and a happy dad is a happy daughter. Parking right in front of Wasabi Bistro where we're going to eat for dinner. As we were parking, Wasabi Bistro walked out and tried to shoo us away from the public meter parking. He said the two spaces was for the long tour bus to park. So I asked, where's the sing that says no parking? This is public parking and everyone can park. Then he says, there's going to be a lot of people coming to his restaurant from the tour bus to eat. And I said, that's good! I was already IN the space and then he said, they need to come off the bus (as they were double parking in the corner bus stop. And I responded, why you telling me for? Tell them to come out. Then he said to me, they are blocking traffic, you need to leave so the tour bus can part the two spaces. I looked at the long charter tour bus, and I looked at my space and the empty space behind me. And I said, there is NO was that the long charter bus can fit these two small public meter space. Then he walks away with a hand gesture and he was calling the tour bus people. So we sat in the car deciding if we should even go eat in this resturant when they give use this unwanted customer before we even stepped in. Then I saw the long charter bus drive around and parked on the other side of Geary. So I counted how many people got off the bus to go into the resturant. Including the drive, it was a party of 10. We came here because my friends wanted to try the AYCD, we made reservations for 7:30, and were seated promptly. It looks like they only have one person running food and drinks, so be prepared it will take awhile to get your food and drinks. We all got the AYCD, I wished they had a cold sake option but the AYCD only comes with hot sake, a fruity soju drink, beer, and wine. I rarely drink anything except for sake or liquor so I didn't have much choices. The only dishes we enjoyed were the honey walnut shrimp. Super fresh and delicious. The sushi was really unfortunate tasting and the fish was not pleasant at all. You can really only come here to drink if you enjoy getting drunk for cheap. The food is okay and at a mid range price point, but I think the strength of WB is their $10 for 90 minute drinking deal , and their late hours. My order was take out with Miso, some Roll, Sashimi, and Tempura it was good and filling for a late Dinner. If you opt to eat in the space has a good energy, the drink deal is hard to beat, you can get a steady stream of plates to counter the Liquor, and it's open till about 2am. My favorites were the fruity sojus (be aware though, that they are very, very sugary-sweet and you will end up feeling not so great the next day!). Hot sake was also good, beers are beers, and haven't tried the wine so can't attest to that. Tip: Place your order pretty quickly/whenever you can get the attention of the server since they do get pretty swamped! I haven't tried the hotpot here yet, but have tried the sushi and sashimi, which I thought was pretty good and fresh tasting. First, this is better than their Castro location, I do love that place, but I'm sorry, it is. The omakase can be solid. We had a nice range of tuna including culminating with some surprisingly great toro. The fresh wasabi was also a nice touch for this place. You can choose 2 flavors of soup from 13 flavors (minimum 2 people)and mix the sauce yourself. Before you done, don't forget to grab some icecream to make your meal perfect done!! Parking was impossible since it's located on a busy street (no parking even at 10pm) so I dropped off my kids to order in the restaurant for take out and I drove around the block/area for about 5 minutes when I got lucky enough to get a parking spot a few spots down from the restaurant till our order was ready. When they got in the car, the food smelled so good. We couldn't wait till we got back to our hotel room to eat. We got spicy tuna rolls, California rolls and another kind of roll but I can't remember which one (LOL), and main entrees of: 2 orders of the the rib eye steak teriyaki (this was by far the best dish bcuz the meat was sooooooo tender), chicken katsu - these entrees came with salad, miso soup and rice. We rolled in about 6:34 PM on a Tuesday and we were the only customers there. We honestly enjoyed the quiet atmosphere mixed in with the hanging twinkling lights and typical casual sushi restaurant. Some of our highlights were definitely the garlic edamame (great flavor), the spider hand roll, and the pink lady roll. Due to being jet lagged, I will be posting a full review in the near future. Let me just tell you, our dining experience was not worth tipping for! Sushi was not fresh and the workers/owner were having their own little party which lacked customer service and attentiveness. This place is super clean with great vibes. I remembered this location used to be a full service bar. Now, it is a Japanese Restaurant with fresh sashimi, sushi, rolls and even ramens. The kicker is that they open until 1AM just like old times. I can order freshly made rolls and sushi after 9pm and don't have to go down to S***way. We ordered the Sashimi Combination, ramen bowl, an entree and a couple of rolls to share. Three of our friends are drinker so they ordered The All you can Drink Special for $10 per person. One had sake, one had Sapporo and the other had wine (rolls with wine ). And yes, they did not drive home.. I know they are on delivery platforms as I hear the tablets pinging on the background with dashers coming in to pickup. read more

Friendly service (though a bit slow/leisurely). We came early at 5 and kitchen not quite ready (ppl don't eat dinner @ 5 in SF - it's a late night crowd). They had Crab & Pork Soup Dumplings (Sui Long Bao), juicy, well seasoned, flavorful sauce but the skin was a bit thick. Hamachi Carpaccio had nice cuts and just right amount of kick with jalapeños. Oyster shooter was yummy. Nigiri combo well presented with long thin strips of fish on top of rice. Daughter liked her unagi hand roll and sake nigiri. Son's salmon teriyaki was charred just right. Good food at good price. They have all you can drink for $10 (90 min limit) for those who can chug down beer it's a good deal; I didn't partake. read more
