This was my first time ordering from Wasabi House, and unfortunately I was really disappointed. The soup was basically just water with no flavor. The noodles were completely bland -- I couldn't taste any soy sauce on them at all. The chicken was dry, and the yum yum sauce only came with the salad, not with the meal itself. Doesn't hibachi meals come with the ginger & yum yum sauce for the meal? On top of that, this was not the regular hibachi food I'm used to getting. The vegetables looked very rushed -- cut in uneven pieces, some too big and some too small, and not even bite-sized. It's pretty good, but it doesn't really stand out. I think the owner is fantastic-she came around often and really made an impression. She was super helpful, friendly with kids, and made sure we had everything we needed. The other staff-not so much. There were a couple servers where you could tell they really care, but some would stand around, not really help with anything or just do the bare minimum and the owner would be fixing stuff behind them. The food was good-not great, but not bad either. For the prices you're paying it's pretty equal. I think one thing they could really improve on is making their own yum yum sauce. It was definitely Terry Ho's and while it's not bad it definitely takes away from the hibachi meals, it's not great-yum sauce is like a hibachi staple. It's just little things where it could be so much better with just a little extra attention to detail and extra steps. We probably won't be back any time soon but for a quick sushi fix, not a bad place! read more

Like they got five Ghost Kitchens running out the back of this adorable tiny "Wasabi House" Asian Inspired restaurant! They must have been like, Let's open a Sushi Bar! Yes! Been to the new Wasabi House twice now. Both times for lunch and it's so clean and welcoming. I wanted to try something new but the Red Thai curry is my favorite so even though I want to try something else, I have gotten that both times. It comes with a nice salad with ginger dressing and I opt for the egg drop soup which is so silky. We also tried a Pensacola Rill which was great. A nice size and very fresh. As you will probably notice Gigi takes care of everything and everyone. She really is a sweetheart and cares about your whole experience there. She's there so often it's her second home and she tries to convey that feeling to everyone who visits. I will be back soon. We just moved back to the area and we were happy to find a sushi restaurant in Pace. Gigi made the whole experience! She was very kind and provided recommendations and custom sushi for my dietary needs. The food came out quickly and was delicious! The staff were very attentive to all tables and the restaurant stayed busy while we were there. It's a pretty straight forward sushi place with tons of dining options. I wouldn't say it's Japanese as there are options from all over Asia. We started with gyoza (our standard appy to test out a place). It was pretty good but no plates, chopsticks were provided with it. Weird. We ordered some sushi rolls. It didn't take long at all. I got a minimal amount of wasabi and ginger and the tuna seemed pre-prepared. It was all acceptable. The service, like many places these days, seemed disinterested and bored. We actually had to approach the front counter to finally get our bill and pay. Hard to say if we'll come back as it ain't the greatest but it's maybe the only good option in Pace. read more

We stopped coming to wasabi house a few years ago because everything had went downhill, BUT we heard there was a new owner and new staff so we gave it a try and we were 100 percent satisfied !!! The Food came out super fast and was AMAZING !! we had the Yellow Curry and it was phenomenal! We drive all the way to Mobile to get good curry but not anymore after today!!! The crab wontons were light,fresh,crispy and filling!! I have been coming here for a few years. The sushi and hibachi is amazing. Service used to be hit or miss but the past few times it's been phenomenal. Our server Gigi always goes above and beyond. Another downturn for Wasabi House. Has been running hot and cold for years. Now as "gigi's" has frozen. "Calamari rings$9" consisted of exactly 9 overdone calamari. Folks calamari is meant to be soft, tender,non rubbery. Lo mein shrimp, was badly, as in crunchy edges overcooked. We live in shrimp central, to not know (or care ?) how to prepare shrimp is sinful. Portion size gigi vs real wasabi house has shrunk. A lot. Very sad. Rice was sticky, not a single properly cooked grain to be found. Gigi cannot cook rice ??? We love Wasabi House. We come here to eat pretty frequently and are never disappointed. The menu is very large and there's always an option for everyone whether it's sushi or hibachi. We love their Lunch menu as it's very decently priced and good sized portions. Service is always quick. Not the best. Tables are extremely close together and too close to other diners. We ordered soup and salad and an appetizer. Meal came less than a minute later and we could barely fit the meal on the table. Sushi was very subpar and not very good. No music was playing and just seemed like a below average experience.
