This was my first time to visit Wasabi. Upon entering, the restaurant smells slightly fishy, which is normally a warning sign to tread carefully with the sushi. Our server took our orders and she was OK. The wait was ridiculous, though. It took almost an hour to get a simple sushi roll for my friend and a lunch hibachi for me. It was just OK - the shrimp were overcooked. I subbed white rice for the fried rice that normally comes with it. Probably would not return. read more

We had lunch here today and the establishment is filthy. Our soy sauce dishes were dirty with rice and other stuff left over and our table was filthy and sticky. The miso soup was flavorless and the salad was thousand island dressing seriously watered down. and drowning our lettuce. I usually don't rate poorly based on service alone and I've never ever given a one star rating, but our experience here was AWFUL. The man cooking habachi did a wonderful job. But the server acted completely put out when we asked for a refill, and everything that was brought to us was incorrect if she brought it. At one point, we waited over 45 minutes for the girl to bring us a refill and got a wrong drink. There was a spill at the table over and it got all over the floor & the girl just walked past us when we told her and shrugged. This is probably my first review as I am not one to leave bad comments over a place, I tend to just move on. However, it has to be said that the service in this place is absolutely awful. All other reviews here are completely correct about it. The younger girl and middle aged woman both had terrible attitudes despite the restuarant being empty. Wasabi is a bit pricey, but it is good. I don't even remember what all we ordered. The food containers weren't packaged very good, they were just kind of thrown in the bag and the calamari dumped over and the sauce made a mess on everything. They have the best tempura shrimp and vegetables. There is a variety of vegetables in it; broccoli, onion, mushrooms, zucchini, even a slice of potato and other vegetables I can't remember. The calamari is about average. I had to laugh at the soup and salad. They were in tiny styrofoam cups. The salad was nothing more than a very little bit of iceberg lettuce with a few strands of cheddar cheese on it with a small cup of dressing but the lettuce was crisp. the soup was in an even smaller cup which disappointed me because it was tasty. The food here is really good. You can get the filet mignon hibachi for lunch for $15 and it is mouth watering. The decor and staff are awful, there's no nice way around it. If you can get past it, the food is worth it. Their yum yum sauce is top notch, and don't skip the salad-its yummy! read more

Great Japanese food! My husband lived in Japan for a year and has been craving authentic Yakisoba. We finally found it here. We have enjoyed this local place for $5 sushi rolls for years. We ordered on New Year's Day our regular rolls and were disappointed when there was less of each of our 3 rolls than we have ever received before. Will never go back! Food was spoiled! This place was recommended to my husband so we decided to check it out. We ordered water to drink and it was tap water. I ordered the kids hibachi steak for my daughter, the steak hibachi for myself and my husband ordered chicken udon noodles and pork fried rice. My husbands food came first and then the steak hibachis. As soon as she reached our booth with the steak I smelled an awful spoiled smell. I tried my daughters food first and the steak was spoiled. I went to try my steak and it was spoiled. My husband after a few bites of food asked me to try his and his pork fried rice was spoiled. The only thing that was ok was the chicken udon noodles but we were so disgusted we had to leave. We went to the register to tell the server and she offered to give us different food. I'm a pretty easy going guy when it comes to restaurants but recently I've come in a couple times in the past week and let me tell you, I wait longer in a backed up drive thru line at sonic to get my food than I do here when I'm trying to order. I get it the only other employee besides two women is a 7 year old who is a sweetheart but they need more workers. I loved their firecracker sushi and the spicy cowboy! Would definitely get the sushi again. We also got the dinner for two with steak, shrimp and scallops. It was ok but not as good as the sushi. My husband and I used to love this place when it first opened. However, it's very pricey so we don't go often. We went last night for the first time in almost a year. Boy, has it changed dramatically! It's so pretty on the inside, they have redone everything, it looks high end.. But their food quality and wait staff has gone down hill.. The food wasn't as good as it used to be. Everything tasted like oil, we maybe saw the waitress three times, I sat there with an empty glass for most of my meal. I've only ever ate sushi here and it's been very good every time. I think they have a wide range of special rolls and a good combo of flavors. I find the price for sushi to be fair and reasonable. The sushi chef is sweet and kindly and will offer you a chef special if not horribly busy. If offered, thank him, eat it, and tell him it was wonderful. If you want a better experience, sit at the sushi bar if you are alone or just with one or two people. read more

No food! Total time invested 40 minutes! (It took a while to be seated). That makes 4 tables they lost In that time. Before we left, we called a waitress over and said we should at least have our soup. She said "we are very busy." But the restaurant was only about half full... And losing customers by the minute!
