The place is small but cozy. The service is fast when you dine in. Online order takes time. The sushi are fresh and delicious. Unagi (eel) is my favorite.

This place is hidden but WOW what a gem! They are so quick with service and the food tastes fresh. People flooded in for the dinner rush hour! Very impressed with how quick it was! Very satisfied!

Love the sushi! Very fresh and tasty. Also generously sized. Lots of options. Dined in for the first time recently and it was clean and neat and although appears small on the outside, it is well done and airy inside. Service was quick and parking is easy.

This sushi is good quality. We ate the dynamite roll, crab tempura roll, sweet potato roll, and California roll. The dynamite roll and crab tempura roll were top quality. With a savory flavor, the dynamite roll had a bit of spice to it which was perfect. The other two rolls were mid-par. If you're in the Olney, MD area I definitely recommend coming here.

Went into here to try it out, been to plenty of sushi places around the area but hadn't done this one yet. The inside is really nicely put together, the service was friendly too. The sushi entrees we ordered were very good, the beef in the bento box was just ok. Also ordered a wasabi zen tower which was literally a small sushi tower and it was worth a try. Tasty For the not so awesome parts, I ordered one sushi lunch special which was "chefs choice" and 3 of the 6 rolls were cucumber rolls I'm sure plenty of people order vegetarian rolls but I was disappointed. Also, every table had a nice looking bottle of hand sanitizer on it which was nice, although when I used it WOW it is a VERY heavily scented product. It was so strong I went to the bathroom to wash it off. All in all it is a quality place to get sushi from and I would eat there again

Service is fine and food came out quickly, but the quality of the sushi has really changed over the years. This used to be my favorite sushi place in the county. I ordered my regulars--the philly roll and honey California roll, and they were sadly small and sloppy. Avocado was only on half of the honey California, which could barely hold itself together. It was also overly sweet and there was barely any crab in it. Gets the job done but I'd love to see Wasabi Zen return to its glory days.

If you want good sushi, this is the place to go in Olney. It's a bit over priced which is why I gave it 4 stars.

I got the tofu and the beef bowl and they were really filling. I like that there was a salad with lots of edamame and carrots and corn. The black pepper beef was really delightful. And filling. Maybe next time I'll try the burrito since it's in their namesake but for today I just got the rice bowl. It's definitely more of a takeout place since it's in the convenience store of the gas station, read: not much ambience. But while I was waiting for my order, which was not more than 10 minutes, several people trickled in to pick up or to order-- I'm glad that it seems to be known around the area!!

Ordering in advance yielded an order that was ready shortly after I walked in. There wasn't a lot of excess parking at this gas station and I didn't need gas, so I felt strange just pulling up to a pump for this food, but I did. I wasn't 100% sure what kind of burrito I was getting, but it turned out to be a sushi burrito wrapped in seaweed and rice. They had a bunch of tofu options, and basil tofu was mouthwatering. There wasn't a lot of customization on the online ordering, but truthfully I would have struggled to do better than the mix of crisp carrots, savory panko, and cool lettuce, among other things that rounded out the burrito. I will say the tea wasn't as good; overly sweet for me. But I haven't had an Asian burrito that good since the poke bowl place I used to frequent in New Orleans before the COVID era.

I liked the decor and the place looked clean and bright. Our server (Kevin) was great! He was helpful, gave great suggestions and was nice. I had the flat noodles with chicken; husband had the diced chicken with white rice; our teen daughter had the general tsao chicken (w/white meat). We also had the pan fried pork dumplings, which we all really enjoyed. I really liked my noodles, husband liked his dish; daughter's general tsao could have been crispier. Note: we asked for our dishes to be spicy and they weren't, although the food was still good. Would definitely try this place again, it's close to our house and we always seem to be in Olney.

I ordered the wonton soup and the pork with garlic sauce, while my friend had the egg drop soup and the two-faced pan-fried noodles with shrimp. The wonton soup was flavorful, though I found the garlic sauce a bit mild for my taste. My friend did not enjoy her noodles -- they were too crispy and not what she expected. When she asked for a knife, she was given a butter knife, which made it difficult to cut through the noodles. She mentioned that her entrée was challenging to eat and said she wouldn't have ordered it had she known. She also commented that the prices were higher than other Chinese restaurants and that the menu seemed limited. Although our server was friendly, he could have checked on us more frequently. My friend had to flag him down each time she needed something. Overall, we both agreed that the food was mediocre and that we likely would not return. Helpful Info: This restaurant is located in the Hillcrest Center. Guests can place their orders using the kiosk in the lobby, and payments are conveniently processed at the table with a handheld device, making it easy to settle the bill.

I didn't find any krab or even the taste of it, but good none the less. I shared another appetizer, inuri ( not sure if spelling), tofu fried in a wrapper and covered in a delicious sweet sauce. I'm not a tofu person, but this dish could change that! DH ordered hot and sour soup and drunken noodles. Not a fan of hot and sour soup but I liked this one! So did DH. He loved his drunken noodles with pork. It had a hint of curry and was a little spicy. He ordered a sweet tea and said it was really, really sweet. Diner #2 ordered miso soup and teriyaki chicken. She loved the soup and I got to taste her chicken. It came kind of fajita style on a sizzling platter with red and green peppers, broccoli and a little bit of onion with a generous portion of chicken breast sliced on top with a good sauce and sesame seeds. It was accompanied by white rice. Large enough portion that she has lunch for tomorrow! Diner #3 ordered an eel roll and a few pieces of fat salmon sashimi. She said it was all good. I ordered pad Thai with shrimp. Several large shrimp were delicious and the noodles were very good. I ordered it as mild as possible and there was not a hint of 'hot' spice although it was physically really hot, which I love. I think next time I'd ask for a little heat in it. As I'm writing this I realize I could have asked for some chili oil or something to spice it but I enjoyed it very much. The server was terrific and a few people made sure our drinks were refilled. There's a limit on nigiri/sashimi to one piece per order. What that means is that, when you put in your first (and subsequent orders), you can order one tuna, one salmon, etc nigiri/sashimi. That is a lot better than what I originally thought, which was one nigiri/sashimi total for each round. The variety in the AYCE is impressive. Lots of sushi, sashimi, nigiri, salads, soups, variety of appetizers (not all fried stuff!) and hibachi (beef, chicken and shrimp). Tonight, the food arrived pretty quickly after we put in an order. There was an issue toward the end of the evening when the app stopped working at our table and the table next to ours. The Staff did what they could to fix things; it did take about 20 minutes, though. I'm assuming this isn't typical. Staff did say that this does happen from time to time and the customer needs to exit the app and reorder. Except for the 20 minute delay, things worked fine. We placed at least 12 small orders during our meal. The staff was very good about filling water glasses, bringing our food and taking away empty plates. Really - high praise for the staff. The restaurant is very pleasant to sit in. It has Asian motif and nice music playing over the PA. The only issue was with the ordering system, which, as I said, I'm thinking was unusual.
