What a pleasant surprise, ... after being disappointed at several local sushi restaurants this one.... at least from my first time... was over the top excellent. The fish is of top quality and their portions are very large. We got the sushi/ sashimi platter for about 30 bucks and it was enough for two people. They also give you a delicious salad dressing to go along with the salad which is included. And as a dessert, which Japanese restaurants usually throw in .... an orange, which is always kind of orange in color with no taste. This one was extraordinary.... the best orange I've had in a long time. Can't really vouch for the maki because I only had one, but the sashimi and sushi good were just excellent. I ordered take away from this place in the past about a month ago and was pleased with the decency of the tuna and yellow tail rolls. Service was fast and mostly the rolls tasted like rolls you could get from anywhere else. I would give these a 3.5/5, pretty solid and a good close place to get a quick bite. I decided to order them again through third party for pick up again but I got more. I thought I could trust their sashimi based on my first experience. The staff are super nice and the order was prepared in a timely manner. Waiting for your food is brief if you can ahead and if you get there early the dining area is nice. When I opened the containers I thought the pieces of fish looked incredibly fresh! They passed the sniff test. I did not have the same experience taste wise... the tuna rolls had a slight fishiness to them which I agreed with but most places do. Yellowtail rolls were just like last time. The salad with ginger dressing was fine. The sashimi was ok, a bit small and expensive for what they're giving you. I would give this all a slightly lower rating of 3/5 compared to my first experience. What is the real low blow is my food buddy unfortunately ate a disgusting piece. One of the salmon sushi pieces tasted rotten. The other one did not. If you unfortunately know what mold tastes like then you can see my unpleasant review. It was a surprise because the single salmon sushi (in the middle of the combination tray in between the white tuna and the tuna nigiri) looked ok. But it had an odd odor and poor taste. I had adequately placed hopes on this place's sushi and sashimi based on my first visit and the photos from other customers. Seriously look the sashimi and nigiri sushi plating looks good. It's just one bad piece of salmon sushi that ruined the meal unfortunately. read more

Good service and tempura. Nice atmosphere. The menu isn't huge but had enough variety for us. My only problem with anything was the pepper on the Hibachi chicken. If I wanted pepper on my food for some reason, I'm perfectly capable of putting it there myself. read more

Ate there for the first time four days ago and loved it so much we brought visiting family there last night. Really enjoyed their very fresh sushi (although I do wish the yellowtail with scallions had the scallions inside the roll rather than on top), Mongolian beef, basil chicken, and coconut fried rice. Another excellent dining experience at Wasabi 4! We ordered the sushi for two, dumplings, edamame, and Alaska roll. Each dish was perfectly prepared and tasty. The sushi was fresh and delicious. We wished the server would have explained the variety of fish included, but we'll ask next time. Our 5 year old loved the dumplings- he wanted another order. Always consistent! I have tried Wasabi4 twice now and I will be heading there again. We tried both Chinese dishes (really liked the Mongolian beef) and the sushi. All were excellent. The staff is very friendly - very customer focused and, both times I got take out, when I got home there was a free small item added (last time was 3 slices of pepper crusted tuna - very good). The online sub-optimal part of the experience is the online ordering. I found the online ordering to not be as simple as this usually is and I received no email confirmation that the order was received and no estimated time to have the food ready for pick up was provided. read more

Went to Wasabi4 for the first time. It is in a shopping center in Newtown Square. My wife had the Uni (Sea Urchin) appetizer and Red Curry Shrimp. I had the orange chicken. 3 of us went for lunch on a Thursday. Had spring rolls, gyoza, and tempura as appetizers. The mains were Pad Thai with shrimp, the $11.50 yellow curry with shrimp lunch special, and jumbo shrimp with walnuts. All were good sized portions with plenty of large shrimp. The curry had some spice to it but not overly and the jumbo shrimp were good though I would prefer them in a little thinner batter. Everything was carefully prepared, nicely presented, fresh and delicious. This is a restaurant that cares about the food it serves. Their pricing is in line with the value received. Four of us ate here - a busy Saturday night. Every app, entre, soup, salad, dessert was delicious, fresh, generous, and beautifully presented. Tuna app was huge and very fresh as were the avocado salad and delicious Miso& Wonton soups. Two of us had Mongolian beef and agreed it was the best we've ever had. Hibachi steak dinner- meat was cooked perfectly- lots of vegetables. Sushi/ Sashimi entre was beautiful, fresh & very generous-2tunas, prawn, 3 fish, salmon- 15 pieces very reasonable price.
