They fraudulently tried to sign me up to a monthly charge of 42$ until cancelled, despite telling categotically I am looking at a one-time service, still they booked my card promising a cancellation of membership right away, with receipt. When I asked for a cancellation and receipt, the MANAGER (I think her name is Missy not sure) yelled at me telling me to shut up and listen to her instead of what I did with their associate before. (Extremely rude and disrespectful). She couldn't find my invoice / receipt or any proof of what she has charged my card or could print for me. And then, she just stamped away, asking me to 'GET OUT' , went away and closed herself up in her office. The employees told me, she is the manager so we can't do anything. Let me first say I've been a customer of this car wash for 2 years with memberships on 2 cars. It's always been OK, a very standard automatic car wash experience good enough to get a car clean if it's not particularly dirty so if you take it weekly it was fine, the back of SUV's do not get clean and brake dust isn't cleaned effectively by this car wash but for the membership price and convenient location it was fine. Now let's get to where the real problems happened. The car wash threw my car into the car in front of me damaging my bumper and the camera. I indicated the car was damaged after it went through and the man drying the car told me to go to the back and talk to the "manager". This lady was hostile and incredibly rude. She indicated it was not their "responsibility" and not their "fault". The level of customer service was appalling and I even told this woman this was no way to treat a loyal customer to which she told me "you're not my customer". Instead of explaining what happened, maybe showing me the video, recommending how to handle the situation(like clearly explaining the car in front of you was at fault and to call the police and handle it through insurance, we are sorry your car got damaged), the lady was combative and nasty. The owner of this place really needs to consider some employee training and relieving this lady of her duties because they have lost a loyal customer and I will tell everyone I know not to bring their cars to wash hounds in Union. This place is very poorly run, they don't have standardized procedures and policies for their employees, any decent business would have an established process for an incident involving multiple cars, really any vehicle accident on their property and it seemed chaotic. They should not have let the other car drive off because after waiting an hour for the police to come they reviewed the video and said the car in front hit their brakes and that is why the machine threw my car into theirs so they would be at fault. In my mind the carwash operator was also negligent because they should have stopped the machine once the other vehicle was stuck(seeing what happened, I think something may have triggered the vehicle's automated braking system as it was a newer BMW SUV otherwise I'm not sure what the driver was doing) and perhaps ask them what was going on instead of continually allowing the machine to smash my car into the other car and then telling me it was my fault for applying the "brakes" when that was after they smashed me into the other car 2 times and the car in front was not budging. EDIT to respond to the owner: Clearly the owner of this business is very unprofessional and sees absolutely NO ISSUE in the fact that they have zero customer service skills and that they run their business poorly. Given an accident occurred on their property they have certain responsibilities and they shirked them despite no "equipment malfunction" no one expects to violently smash into the car in front of them at a carwash and their handling of this situation was incredibly unprofessional and chaotic. I had to call the police, they didn't suggest it or do it or ANYTHING for that matter, they didn't say "you should see the video and here is the information for the other customer, this is how you should proceed", they gave me what amounts to an FU and then are puzzled as to why I may be upset? Thousands in damage to an expensive vehicle and it's met with a shrug, yeah ok that makes perfect sense. As for acting like "a child", asking quite literally "what they were going to do about the car wash damaging my car" is acting like a "child" what do you call loudly yelling "you hit your brakes, we sent all the rollers, it's YOUR FAULT"? I was actually very calm until the lady became nasty and combative, I was looking for paperwork, a process, something other than "you're on your own" again after my car was violently thrown into the car in front of me by the carwash. You don't have to worry about me coming back. You run a mediocre car wash with abysmal customer service that is broken and closed more than it is opened. read more

Dryers only work about half the time, and you often have to go through a second time to get your car fully dry. The outside staff also needs to do a better job managing the line--cars should be directed to pull up while waiting to keep things moving more efficiently. read more

The Wash Hounds on 1995 Forest Avenue ( Staten Island) is horrible. On June 24, 2026,Joe who manages the place angrily yelled at me, while in my car waiting on the members only line, simply because I was to close to the lowering rail. He yelled at me while he waved both arms for minutes. He said to go somewhere else because I yelled back that drivers on the non members line drive in and skip members like me. One or two is fine but 5,6,7 cars, no way. He canceled my membership and handed me a receipt as I rolled out of the car wash. Joe, a heavy set man, needs a lot of customer service training. I've seen him before on occasion and he's always yelling at someone.Mostly staff. On this day and under his breath , he muttered a few times,"FU FDNY" cuz I was in my uniform and going home. Stay away from the Wash Hounds car wash on route 22 in Union. The machine took off my bumper and the manager by the name of Misty started yelling at me to move my car and told me they're not fixing anything. She lied to the cops and told them that my car had damage to the bumper already, which is absolutely 100% not true As you could see in the video of someone else's car right after mine got damaged, it clearly shows that that piece of metal that comes out very close to the car takes too long to retract after the light turns green. First, I was extremely concerned as I had an appointment and hadn't checked the reviews...pretty much checked them as I was about to drop my car to be detailed and was expecting an eh job. Instead - WOW! just wow - I didn't even recognize my car. I did an interior and exterior detail and the car looks almost brand new. Considering I have 3 dogs (and have had the car for 6 years) without ever doing a real detail - it's AMAZING! I can't get over the difference and am SO happy with results. To the brother who ran to close out the machine yesterday on 11.1.24 at 6:58 PM as I approached the kiosk that was a classless act to a paying member. I guess because you are not the owner but merely an hourly employee who's likely here today gone tomorrow you don't know the value of good customer service and making your clients feel that their business is appreciated. Your official closing time is 7:00 PM so customers who are in line, or even better at the kiosk prior to this time should be allowed to get their vehicle washed. So after taking my car to get cleaned I notice tape on my mirror. Now I have never had an issue with my mirror prior and have been here before. I speak to Gerald and he tells me after reviewing the tape I didn't leave with tape on my mirror. We then review the tapes to learn one of their workers not only broke my mirror but put the tape that "wasn't there" on my car. I point this out and low and behold my mirror was broke when I got there. I express again that my mirror was fine when I arrived. He tells me come back to speak to the GM. I return the next day to speak to a gentleman who never tells me his name. He tells me the new video they found shows my mirror was not only damaged upon arrival but it shows scratches. I advise I have no scratches on my mirror (see picture #2) but I never had any issues until I came here. He tells me we taped it but didn't tell you because of the rate we work. He proceeds to tell me they are not responsible and never to come back. Please avoid them at all costs. I will be seeking legal action against them. read more

I haven't been to this car wash since before Covid due to one closer to my house...until today. My wife went there and was met at the kiosk by a gentleman who was explaining to her all of their monthly packages and trying to upsell her on things. I was on the phone with her as she was listening to his explanation of things. I told her not to buy anything until we try it out first as it's been years since we've been there. He did explain to her "we have installed self service vacuums due to customers complaining about us not doing a good job on the interior, so now you can do as you please with that" I didn't think anything about it thinking it was merely just there as a back up. She bought a single "the works" package for $17.82 and we tipped $3. As she drove up, she was instructed to stay inside the vehicle. Again we thought this was weird but figured maybe they do the interior at the end for some reason. When she was thru the car wash, two guys came up, half way dried her car and walked away! No vacuuming, no interior wipe down! We will NEVER be back to this place! 17.82 for an exterior wash and a half way job of hand drying?!?! Get out of here! A disgrace! So last week I went in there to do a simple car wash (actually it was the 23 dollar one i think - forgot what it's called). As you can see, by the time my car had come out of the car wash, this is what my rear window looked like. After just a mere "we're sorry this happened" and utter amazement/confusion/concern from their employees, I got the manager in charge at the moment took pictures and such to bring to the police. (1) at no point did the car wash even think to consider to refund me the amount for the car wash. (2) I contacted them again desiring to speak with their owner/regional manager Chris, who to this moment STILL hasn't decided he's willing to spend all of 10-15 minutes to speak to a customer that had this happen. - instead he deflects that responsibility to a supervisor/manager named Steve (who if you read some of the reviews who doesn't have the best of reputations from Yelpers). My experience with him was no different - at a point in our conversation he also began raising his. Voice and yelling over the phone. Totally unprofessional, and unnecessary. *** All this to say y'all - just stay away - the customer service (at least from management and up) is BAD! I was the only person on line, so I politely asked them to spend more time on the interior, and even offered to pay more than the "Works" which is the most that can be spent. I have been going here for 8 plus years. The last few months have gotten so bad I need to find a new car wash. The total service has suffered. I do understand the inside not being perfect due to Covid. But I have had to have the car go through twice just to get it clean. Other days they barely dry it. I pay for the monthly service and do use it couple times a week. But as of late there are no longer any long term employees. They don't care if your a regular or not. I do tip every time I am there. I do miss the old Managemt. Now they have closed for a week for upgrades. That's ok but no one can tell me what happens to our monthly service. Bad experience today.. their automatic wash equipment is fine, outside of my car looked great BUT the interior cleaning was way below acceptable, especially considering I got "the works" $30 wash. My mats were barely vacuumed, then were thrown on top of my seats where the remaining dirt shook off onto the rest of my car's interior. Cup holders and any pocket areas of the car were untouched. Worst car wash in NJ! They automated the wash by getting rid of people and installing self service kiosk to pay. Every customer has to get out of their car and spend 10 min. trying to navigate the touch screen and pay. After all this and 19.00 and a tip paid at the Kiosk, I went thru the wash only to come out to 1 person to dry every car. My car still had significant road salt on the hood and front end grill. Would not recommend for a family minivan.  Went for "the works" today because our floor mats really needed a good wash. And the interior needed a vacuum.  The staff seemed nice and when it was done I drove away without checking the back row or trunk. So when i got home i was surprised to see they neglected to wash the floor mat for the last row and the trunk mat.  Not only did they not take care of the 2 mats but it looked like they didnt even try to vacuum the back row.  Also the passenger side dash was dusty and not cleaned well. I ended up vacuuming and wiping down the seats and washing the floor mats they didnt touch.   When we have gone to other car wash places and they say they will clean the mats they clean all of them. Was disappointed at the minimal care for interior. Exterior was fine.  I would suggest if they only do half the floor mats maybe they should change the service from "the works" to "the half ass"  I hope they take in the recent reviews and improve their level of service. read more

This place is the worse...after haven been going there for almost 3yrs, the "mgr" who is so full of himself decides it was prudent on his part to call the cops on me for complaining about their system breaking off my rear wiper. Funny thing is I already bought a replacement when no one got back to me a week later as promised. Tells me to leave his premises because I was trespassing when they charged me the Monthly unlimited membership days before. Apparently he has no idea that I had a reason to be there given he has my money. I got my refund, canceled my membership! Firstly, the video review was done on Friday and the, Mgr who apparently now no longer works there as of Sunday was going to fix. He said he had to order the parts because all he had was the blades not the arm. He was to call me after he received. Miraculously he no longer works there and you want to give me the run around? However, the real reason that I now go here so frequently is because they have Unlimited Wash packages which allows you to get your car washed as many times as you like for a small monthly fee. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I have had 1 mishap, but I am truly satisfied and if I ever I find myself dissatisfied I can always cancel the service. What just happened? Went for my usual oil change and free car wash (I pay for the upgrade to The Works) and all the humans have been replaced by machines. In this establishment's version of "self check out" it is now SELF VACUUM and EXTERIOR WASH ONLY. There are gates and kiosks where you pay for your wash and you stay in the car and just drive off after. No clean mats, no cleaning inside at all. Nothing provided to do your own mats or interior. Just vacuums and a machine to take your money. I totally get the labor shortage and rising employee costs but at least provide the same service in some way. read more
