Beef chow fun (gf): The beef chow fun was salted well, but overall the flavor of the dish was bland compared to its glutened and normal versions. The sauces normally used to make this dish flavorful contain wheat and gluten, so I expected the lack of flavor. The texture of the noodles and vegetables were on point. Walnut shrimp (gf): Excellent all around on flavor and texture. My only critique is to coat the shrimp more evenly with the sauce. We will visit again. Be sure to get some chili oil with this. -Char Siu Bao: aka bbq pork bun. Comes with three but they're pretty big. I tried this place, and I'd have to say it exceeded my expectations! The portions are bigger than normal for a fancy dim sum restaurant in the Fontainebleau casino. I'd also say this is the newest casino with the best ventilation I've ever been to. It's very similar to Wynn, but more modern and elegant. I love the high vaulted ceilings. As for the restaurant, it feels like you're in a fancy club with teppanyaki-style seating. You can see the kitchen if you sit close to it. My favorites are the seafood trio, crispy roasted pork belly, and the beef chow fun. The siu mai and har gow were decent, but they don't stand out like the other dishes. I was pretty full and even had leftovers. I would definitely recommend trying it. I also love that they constantly refill your tea--I never had to ask. Washing Potato inside the Fontainebleau ended up being one of my favorite food finds during my stay in Vegas. I actually ordered takeout from here twice for dinner because everything I had the first time was so good. I didn't dine in, but the inside of the restaurant looked really cool and nicely decorated. It definitely had a fun vibe and felt like somewhere I'd want to sit down and eat next time instead of just grabbing takeout. Everything I ordered was delicious. The beef chow fun was great, and the chicken pot stickers were easily some of the best pot stickers I've had anywhere. I was told they're made fresh in house and you can absolutely tell. I also tried the char siu pineapple bun, which doesn't actually taste like pineapple, it's just baked to look like one, but it was really tasty. The xiao long bao (soup dumplings) were also excellent. The staff was awesome as well. I ordered at the bar and they were super helpful answering questions about the menu and giving recommendations on what to try. It's definitely a little pricey, but that's expected for Vegas and especially inside a resort. The restaurant was clean and well organized - everything was in the right place. Our server was "Pen" - she was awesome and had details and recommendations for every category of food on the menu. I'm a fan of Beef Chow Fun so I asked her about that and a few other dishes. She (Pen) was friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic throughout each course and dish presentation. Pen was an A+ 10/10. The food was fresh, hot dishes were hot, and cold dishes were cold - that's a great start. We started with the cucumber salad and chicken satay appetizers and were thrilled from the start - both dishes were excellent and presented well. Came in with the family today for Christmas dinner. We loved it so much at the beginning of the month. I was sad to find out the menu had changed and the duck salad was removed. It was soo good and I was looking forward to that again. So instead we ordered two orders of pot stickers and spring rolls. Both were a table favorite. We've visited Washing Potato many times, so naturally we planned our Christmas Eve 2025 dinner here and were really looking forward to it, especially the duck salad - which has always been our favorite dish. Unfortunately, we were disappointed to learn that the duck salad has been removed from the menu. That was a tough start to the evening, especially since it was the main reason we chose to celebrate here. That said, we still enjoyed our dinner overall. The service was attentive, and I truly appreciate how seriously the staff takes food allergies. While my salt and pepper shrimp is also no longer officially on the menu (sadly!), the kitchen was kind enough to accommodate me by preparing it with rice flour, which I was grateful for. This spot is located inside the Fontainebleau hotel, so you're definitely paying that "Strip price"--very expensive, but kind of expected given the location and setting. The environment is modern and nicely done, which adds to the overall experience. Food-wise, it was a bit of a mixed bag. There were several dishes we saw on social media that brought us in, but turns out those items were only on the menu when they first opened, but not anymore. Shumai, har gow and turnip cake were good. Chicken feet were a good texture, but we weren't fans of the sauce as it tasted too much on the sweeter side. Xiao long bao - the outside was too thick and tough, and the flavor of the filling and soup wasn't too great. For dessert, we had the chocolate XLB - not bad but again, outside dough wrapper should've been thinner. Egg tarts we liked the inside but did not like the crust, it was more of a shortcake texture rather than the warm flaky kind we prefer. It is a fine dining restaurant specializing in dim sum dishes. They also have a good varirty of other dishes. The ambiance was trendy, great lighting, and bright decor colors. The dress code was business casual. They have the friendliest staff, who stop to fill your water glass or bring something you may need. It's a teamwork approach that I appreciated. Very modern, not to loud that you can have an actual conversation. The service was excellent. The manager, Ying, personally came over to introduce herself and made us feel very welcomed. As for the food, I loved everything! Started with some dim some entrees -- a must have would definitely be the Shumai, xiao long & pineapple bun. Big entrees we ordered the shrimp fried rice, Mongolian beef, yellow curry, salt and pepper prawns, walnut shrimp, crispy noodles & half a pecking duck! Everything was delicious, we couldn't decide which was our favorite! Oh let's not forget desert-- the fried banana was amazing! Honestly was not a fan of the chocolate bao, but the table loved it. As I was wandering around the Fontainebleau, I discovered Washing Potato. Since I had been craving Chinese food, I decided to give it a try. The interior is stylish and chic, although some may find the loud music in the background off putting. I was seated at a circular table near the back of the restaurant with a view of the action in the kitchen. I ordered the Dandan Mian, potstickers, and a Starlight cocktail. The Dandan Mian was a delicious combination of noodles topped with minced pork, chili oil, cucumber, and a sesame peanut dressing. It definitely left a delightful, fiery taste in my mouth. My potstickers were pretty standard. but good. My Starlight cocktail made with strawberry and lemongrass vodka, supasawa, and soda water was light and refreshing. Service was pretty relaxed during my visit. Not overly attentive, but not dismissive either. Overall, a 4 1/2 star experience. read more
