    Shrimp Fried Rice
    Gretchen M.

Not the most authentic Chinese food experience, but good enough if you're in the area and craving a comforting rice meal. The chive fried dumplings were the highlight for me, crispy on the outside with a flavorful filling. The fried rice was good too. On the other hand, the steamed spareribs lacked in flavor and would not recommend it.

I think my rating would be somewhere between a three and a four-star. Sometimes you just need your Asian food fix and honestly there was a good variety here. They even have a lot of vegetarian choices with vegetarian dumplings and pot stickers. The dumplings were delicious but I did not try the pot stickers. They also have a vegan chicken dish which was just amazing for me. I think what was missing was the flavours. The sauces were nothing crazy. But if you need your Asian food This is a not bad spot to check out.! The service was really good and fast, and the restaurant was clean and spacious and not too busy around lunchtime on Sunday!

Many years later, and I'm still enjoying the same high quality food here this is definitely a must if you want something kind of fast, casual and chill when staying at encore Wynn, I haven't been disappointed yet. It's usually not that busy but they do have their high peak moments. No reservations are required. I usually just walk right in ambience is usually pretty simple. Food is fantastic don't skip it !

My arrival at the Wynn was planned for the evening seafood buffet, but I changed course after realizing they did not have the two most advertised items (lobster claws and filet mignon). Is this false advertising? You decide. So I walked out, got my refund (I did not touch or eat anything) and wandered around the casino floor. It is then that I discovered Red 8 (yes, 8 is a lucky number in Chinese culture). The place was hopping, and for a solo diner, it took about 15 minutes to get a table. Once again, I wished to order something different. Wynn is big in Macao and in the menu section they had dedicated specials to that effect. The Classic Dan Dan Noodles with pork was a magnet. Was it different? I would say yes. Presentation wise, the optics when the dish arrived (I could not see any noodles), was unique. There was an abundance that was buried in the presentation. My server was high class, taking care of me even though they were short staffed. Enjoyed their chili oil (I asked for it), and hardly touched their chili paste. The soy sauce was bold with depth, different. As for the entree itself, how was it? I would say, fantastic.

This is located in the Wynn hotel. It is a lovely restaurant with limited seating. No reservations but you can get in the wait list. I arrived at noon and was able to get a table by 12:20, they text you when your table is ready. Service: device is great and attentive Food: I ordered 3 different kind of dim sum. The shumai was very good. The Shanghai soup noodles were flavorless. It was way too much dough to filling. Then I ordered steamed shrimp dumplings. Nice chunks of shrimp.

Stop by here for lunch and I wasn't disappointed at all.. I ordered the vegetable fried rice and Sweet & Sour chicken... Service was really good and friendly, food was good, and large portion for lunch. The ambiance was nice, wasn't crowded, got seated asap..

Have been to Red 8 twice and both times had a very good experiences! Beautifully decorated restaurant inside Wynn resort with very polite & friendly staff members and the food is pretty good I'd say! So if you're either staying at Wynn/Encore or visiting, definitely give this place a try, you won't be disappointed!

I've been coming to this restaurant every time I visit Las Vegas, and it's always been my top recommendation for Chinese food. My family also like this place. Their dim sum has an exceptional depth of flavor that's hard to find elsewhere. Today, our server was once again very attentive and pleasant. The fancy vibe here? Absolutely yes. However, this time I did feel that the restaurant was a bit short-staffed. I guess that is the reason. And..When we were first seated, the table had a noticeable strong towel smell. I politely mentioned it, and although the other person wiped it again, the odor still lingered strongly. I didn't want to be a difficult customer, so I apologized and mentioned it again gently -- but her and cleaning women's reaction felt a bit uncomfortable, almost as if I was being too picky. If she had sat at that table herself, she would've understood what I meant. Anyway, we asked her twice to three times to change the seat. We were then moved to a small corner table for two, and after that, I decided to just let it go and enjoy the meal -- and as always, the food was excellent. The Peking duck we tried for the first time was absolutely delicious. The service wasn't as great as our last visit, but despite that, I'll definitely come back again. The food here is still top 1 for me.

    Pretty good Pad Thai.

First, some advice, don't forget to make dinner reservations in Vegas. We didn't and spent quite a bit of time getting hangry while looking for a decent place to walk-in. We found it at Red 8. Had a short wait, 20-25 minutes. The place is what you'd expect from a Vegas Asian restaurant, gaudy red and ornate decor. We were sat at a back corner table and promptly given water. Our server, an older Asian gentleman showed up to take our cocktail order. When I placed my food order and asked about the chicken feet, he laughed and asked if I'd had before. I had not so I got them. My wife got spring rolls. We split a Pad Thai. The food was all quite good. The feet were gelatinous, slippery, saucy, and tasty. But I don't need to try them again. Our server brought us hot hand towels to clean up at the end of the meal. Overall, we enjoyed the meal and experience.

Red 8 at the Wynn serves excellent dim sum, seafood, and Cantonese dishes. The food is fresh and well-prepared, and the quality matches the price. If you want reliable Chinese food without the booking headache, this is it. I was able to walk in without a hassle.

    Dim sum tasting
    Camille Y.

Red 8 was a rollercoaster. The dim sum tasting? Delicious. The soft shell crab with salt & jalapeño pepper? Absolute star of a dish and our favorite. It was crispy and wonderfully garlicky. Then came the Dan Dan noodles... and wow, talk about a buzzkill. Bland, flavorless, and just sad. My husband powered through after basically performing a chili oil makeover, but I couldn't do it. I almost sent it back. My husband ate it probably just to avoid the awkwardness. Just skip this dish. Overall, I'd come back to try other dishes.

Located inside is the Wynn, it's a great restaurant to hit that later night craving. I highly recommend reservations. The staff wear black attire and are easily distinguishable. I ordered the Malaysian shrimp and chicken and it did not disappoint. And I chased it with one of their vodka based cocktails. I was happy.

When I heard…read morethat the owners of San Francisco's Koi Palace were launching this concept, I was close to the first in line when they opened. It's been top notch since the very first visit. I have taken friends, clients, and colleagues, and the response has been uniformly positive. The menu has changed over time, but the dim sum classics are all there, often with a nouveau twist. What really got me was coming for dinner with a large group, where we could really savor the seafood, noodle, and meat dishes. I'm not going to run down the list because everything I've tried has been excellent, and I've tried most of the menu. We always enjoy decapitating the crispy mochi ducklings, filled of course with minced pork. The wagyu steak and wagyu fried rice, the xiao long bao with vinegar caviar, and salt and pepper tofu are all winners. The interiors are beautiful and give a different feel wherever you sit. Bring a friend or bring a large group and go to town.

Dropped a chopstick and someone quickly came over to deliver a fresh pair. Then another person came and asked where rhe dirty one was so they can take it away to prevent confusion. It's nice to not have to ask for another pair like most places. Later on we notified them they we were still waiting on a drink. They bright a glass of liquor. It wasn't the old fashioned we ordered. Just a glass of alcohol. For dessert they provided the complimentary coconut jelly as an apology. A nice touch. That was the positives. Food was average at best. Go to china town for real food. The crispy dumpling had the most flavor of all the dishes. The crisp was nice. The noodle wrapped wagyu had almost no flavor. I drenched it in soy sauce just to make it enjoyable. The raddish was just okay. You can barely tell it was raddish. The complimentary dessert was the coconut shaped dog on top of what tasted like jar jam you get at the store to make a PB&J. Wait. The drink was okay. Best part was the lychee. The table smelled like a dirty rag. Hard pass people.

Our server was pleasant and amicable. He attended to us frequently throughout our dining. Other lady servers brought us our food timely. Thank you All! Menu offers quite a variety... reg dim sum, delicious dim sum, chef specialties, house specialties, super dim sum, vegan no-meat dim sum, congee, noodles, rice dishes, appetizers, entrees, lunch specials, and more. Prices of the dim sum vary from $5.98 and up. We chose a handful of dim sum and one Shrimp & Pork Wonton Egg Noodles. Overall, dim sum was decent. A few of them could have been better in preparation, flavor, and taste. Wonton noodles were tasty. *Bean Sauce Chicken Feet - skin was on the tougher side, could have been more tender, sauce was too thick, flavor was okay *Crispy Taro Pancake - top layer was crispy, but taro fell apart when picked up by chopsticks *Egg Tarts - light and flaky crust with soft, smooth & jiggly egg custard filling, amazingly good, definitely would get again, wished it came with 3 instead of 2, they are bigger than normal egg tarts, but still *Fried Pork Ball - just okay, nothing special *Golden Sand Lava - huge baked bun with lots of oozing sandy egg yolk, must get! *Shrimp Dumpling - full of shrimps in thin skin, tasty filling, good size, worth the price! *Shrimp & Pork Chives Dumpling - more chives than shrimp and pork, flavor was mediocre *Shrimp & Pork Shumai - surprisingly flavorful, but wished there was more shrimp than pork Glad we got a chance to try this place. I would return to try their other dim sum and lunch specials in future LV visits. Worth stopping by if you haven'ty already.

Dumplings like Hargow, and siu Mai tasted a little old. Wrapper dry and filling was denser in texture. Tripe stew had good flavor but texture was mushy (passed the point of tender) Service was fine, staff was available when needed, but overall felt quality/ambiance could be better. Pork and Shrimp Siu Mai (5/5): The absolute highlight of the meal and easily one of the best versions of this classic dish available. The order comes with four enormous pieces that taste incredibly fresh, with every single bite packed to the brim with juicy, distinct chunks of real shrimp and pork. Bean Curd Skin Roll (5/5): Another standout favorite of the visit. The dish includes three large rolls cut cleanly in half, packed with incredibly juicy meat filling. It's especially delicious when you ladle the savory sauce from the bottom of the plate over each bite. Cream Egg Yolk Bun (5/5): A dessert that tastes like a cross between an egg tart and a sweet pineapple bun. The sweet egg yolk cream center is warm and exceptionally gooey, so you'll want to take your first bite carefully to prevent the runny filling from splattering. Salt and Pepper Squid (4/5): A very clean, airy, and crispy appetizer that shows zero signs of being fried in old kitchen oil. While the batter leans a bit light on the expected salt and savory seasoning, the abundance of thinly sliced fresh jalapeno peppers added a spicy kick. Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf (4/5): A very solid, comforting option with excellent overall flavor throughout the rice, though the savory meat filling hidden inside the center felt a little sparse. Beef Tripe with Ginger and Scallion (4/5): A dim sum staple featuring an incredibly delicious, gingery sauce and great savory flavor. Beef Congee (4/5): We ordered the medium-sized bowl, which easily yielded at least 4 smaller bowls of congee, making it a perfect shared carb to round out the meal. It had a comforting consistency with a subtle note of ginger, though it personally sits just below a traditional preserved egg and pork style for me. Logistics Tip: Arriving around noon on the weekend means encountering a packed house, but the staff moves the crowd efficiently and gets tables turned over in short order. The vast majority of the items we ordered were straight off of carts that were being pushed around. It felt like a blast from the past since a lot of dim sum places now are strictly checking items off a menu or mostly menu with a handful of carts. For a place called New Asian BBQ, we saw very few people ordering BBQ. The food: Zha liang - rice noodle roll wrapped around a you tiao (fried cruller). Probably the least healthy thing on the menu, but arguably the tastiest with different textures and a ton of flavor from the 3 dipping sauces (soy based, sesame based, oyster sauce based) Shrimp and Chive steamed dumpling - I'm always a sucker for this steamed version or the pan fried version. One of the few glimpses of vegetables you'll see at dim sum. Chang Fen (rice noodle roll) - we ordered a shrimp and a beef - both easily meeting our standards Dou Hua (tofu pudding) - served hot with ginger simple syrup. It's even softer than silken tofu. The dish is a bit polarizing, but I like a good Dou Hua. Taro Puffs - always a favorite of ours, they have a pretty good one here Steamed beef ribs - this was an interesting one we've never had at a dim sum restaurant. They're short ribs with a soy, sugar marinade. Pineapple Bun with Salted Egg Yolk - I don't even know what this was called on the menu, but it was the filling of a Liu Sha Bao inside a Pineapple Bun. All these met expectations - Bean Curd (tofu skin) Pork Roll, Ginger Tripe, Shrimp Dumplings, Beef Balls For Dim Sum, I typically expect at least $30 per person. We ate a ton and came in a smidge under that after tax and tip. Everything was good to great and we were very happy that we decided to eat here for brunch. Great place for dim sum in terms of food quality and if you want to order from carts!

This isn't the frozen-and-steamed shortcut situation you'll find at so many spots around town. These are handmade, skillfully executed classics that carry the weight of real tradition behind them. The har gow wrappers had that perfect translucent delicacy -- thin enough to see through, sturdy enough to hold. The siu mai were plump and properly seasoned. The char siu bao, both baked and steamed, hit every note I was hoping for. Cart after cart brought something worth ordering, and nothing disappointed. But beyond the food, what struck me about Dim Sumlicious was the atmosphere of care. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely hospitable -- a rarity in a city where restaurants can feel like they're processing customers on a conveyor belt. If you're a dim sum devotee who's been settling for "pretty good," your search is over. Dim Sumlicious is the real deal -- no asterisks, no caveats. Make a reservation, bring the whole family, and go hungry. Las Vegas finally has its yum cha moment. Don't sleep on it.
