I walked in, the lady knew exactly what piece I needed, got it, installed it in the one window I brought with me, and showed me how to install it so I could do the other window myself when I got home. I was in and out in five minutes, and it only cost me $1.50! Next time I need anything for a window or door, now I know not to waste my time with a hardware store and come straight to the experts!

The largest panes wouldn't fit in my little car, so I asked about delivery options; Robertson's doesn't deliver, but will give you a business card for Metro Delivery, which worked out just fine. Prices were on par with Home Depot or Lowe's, but the flexibility, responsiveness, and overall experience were a world better. The windows themselves are nicely made --- I wouldn't go as far as "works of art" as they're fairly low-tech (strips of gasket, mitre-cut aluminum), but reasonable materials and solid workmanship. However, it requires that the original installation was done properly. In my case... it was not. Thus the panic. My wife said that I would never be able to get the garage door fixed within the day, especially since we were in the midst of a city wide power outage. Thanks to the Yelp App and the mobile internet, I was able to find A2DS. Indeed, they were scheduling service calls a few days out, but when I explained my predicament, they were able to squeeze me in with an emergency visit within a few hours! The door did not get fixed that day, but the technician was able to work enough magic so I could free my car from its tomb. Then we were able to schedule a follow up visit to actually get the thing fixed. I wasn't even charged for the call. My heroes! As luck would have it, on my long list of to do items, was installing a new opener for the second garage door. So I was able to take care of that as well on the follow up appointment. The A2DS installation crew came as expected, made short work of the project, asked for my input when needed, and were able to complete the job for less than the originally estimated price! Now I have two working, modern, garage doors. Both are programmed into each opener, and I have new openers for each car. Plus there is a spiff new keypad on the side of the house, so I can open and close the doors manually. This all makes me more excited and happy than I had ever imagined! Oh yeah. There was one teeny tiny problem with the button inside the garage to open the old door. But after one quick call, and the problem was taken care of the following day. A company that has an actual listed local physical location. 3. A company that is listed as an authorized installer by the manufacturer. 4. Very good customer reviews. 5. A detailed quote that enumerated the cost of each part should it have to be replaced. 6. I was texted the ETA of the repair person along with his photo. 7. ETA and cost was as quoted. 8. The repair person did not try to upsale me more than what was need to do the repair. First off the guy came to measure the countertops and they were cut two short and they gave us a hard time about that and then to tell me that I could have my contractor fill in the holes. Second I decided to use the countertops as back splashes and again asked the question about the veins matching. They told me they would match. Not the case at all. When they came to install for a second time the veins do not match the backsplashes after I was told they would. They claimed they never said this which is not true and told me that I had buyers remorse. For a $10,000 job they are doing sloppy work and do not care about the customers. I had asked about a discount because now I have to live with ugly countertops that do not match and will only receive a 5% discount which is nothing. The owner does not care about his customers and only cares about his money. Buyers beware of this place.
