Jeez I wish I looked at these reviews before I came here. I brought my sequoia in 2days ago, they did a I guess a 30point check, quoted me $7800! For the recommended work listed below: * radiator flush * oil change * shocks and struts * E-Brake * power steering fluid flush * tires * a skid plate I wanted secured * PCV valve Replacment It was practically everything under the sun. I got all of the fluids done 30k miles ago so I told them to skip all the fluids. I couldn't believe how much these guys charge for fluids; and the tires. Anyways I think I made a huge and costly mistake coming here. PJ at the front calls me next day tells me that the screw/bolts under the skid plate 2 were missing and one was sheered off inside the threads. Which I already knew which is why I asked to get it fixed, so their mechanic removed the broken screw but in the process of extracting it he sheered the threads on the inside. And now the new screw can't catch or hold the plate up. He then said I didn't need it unless I was going off road which to me is F*** up since they destroyed the threads in side. He told me that since it was rusted inside that hole the screw was in that the threads were already gone which I knew wasn't the case. That's not how that works so I told them " so you guys don't have a tap and dye kit?" He said oh yeah I'm sure they have that. I the. Said "then have him make new threads". I shouldn't have to pay the man hours for the mechanic messing up my car and then going back to fix it after I mentioned the work around. Who's the mechanic here? I try to be a honest man, and if they stopped the work to call me to let me know some the like :"hey my mechanic is saying he's going to have to force the screw out and sheer the threads". Then me the owner of the vehicle would have to make an executive decision to do it or not and then I'd be the one liable. But at this point I'm not and shouldn't have to pay the extra man hours for him to fix his screw up (no pun intended). I have a feeling they are going to rape my wallet when I swing by to pick up my vehicle. I'm not going to recommend this place anymore I've stupidly came to this place one too many times and didn't learn the first time. read more

Yesterday I was on my way home to Pennsylvania from Virginia when my car began to feel like the tires weren't responding correctly to my steering. It felt like the tires were slipping on something, like I was on ice (but I wasn't). Knowing we had just had them rotated the week before, I was afraid that the nuts had not been properly tightened, so I stopped at the closest tire center which, lucky for me, was Wastler Tire Pros. When I walked in, all the staff were wearing masks (for which I am very grateful as I have a compromised immune system), and I was welcomed very warmly by one gentleman in particular, who introduced himself as "Dave". I explained to him what my car was doing and he (immediately) took it for a drive. He could not feel what I was feeling, so he (immediately) had one of his Service guys take it for a drive. The Service guy couldn't feel anything odd, either, but he went ahead and hand-tightened the lug nuts anyway to be sure. Dave assured me that the tires were not going to fall off, but he couldn't tell me exactly what was happening without hooking the car (a 2020 Subaru Outback) up to some diagnostic machines, which he was happy to do if I wanted to give them some time. All of this was done in a very expedient 15 minutes. I was eager to get home, so I declined his offer and, with the relief of knowing the tires weren't going to escape, continued on my way. Dave was so very kind and generous with his time. It is sadly a rare thing these days to find such people, so I feel very grateful to have found him. I live just down the road from this place, and accidentally ran over a nail and had to get a plug in my tire. I figured Wastler could get it done since they specialize in tires. However after waiting 50 mins for a plug they charged $50 for an easy fix. When I asked why the price was so high they complained that I should be lucky they're willing to fix it. I recommend Ricks Family Car Care if your car can make the drive. They won't overcharge or give you an attitude. read more

I would have gave it 0 stars if i could , I am so upset with this company that I will never return there again , THEY LIE AND CHEAT YOU. they tell you a price and its always much higher when you get there to pay . they tell you that you need to replace everything under the sun, they pick all the gravy work and want to see if you will bite . the service writer lies about how dangerous something is, and as the mechanic is telling me that i could get away with out replacing the part, the service writer is trying to tell him to stop talking by shaking his head with out me seeing the sign language. Had tires installed here, wheels were repaired in the past, and all are fine except one. Installer damaged wheel and they will not take responsibility of damage. Then to top it off they put sticky weights on the outside of the wheel on the face. DO NOT GET SERVICES DONE HERE. GO ELSEWHERE. THERE IS A REASON THEY ARE A CHEAPER PRICE. Took our car to Wastler's for repairs. I have always felt comfortable there: I trust Dave to give me an honest assessment at a decent price. This week, he proved me correct! After a rather big repair job, I started hearing a strange "thumping" sound every time I applied the brakes. I brought the car back to Dave; he checked it out, found that one of the new parts he installed was faulty, replaced it. No charge!!! He knows that I am "mechanically challenged" and could have charged me for a new part - I would have been none the wiser. In the past, I've gotten tires here as well as other repairs. not good does not even start to describe, you should be able to give negative stars to this place. I took my Jeep Wrangler in to get brakes checked and to re align the steering wheel. when I got vehicle back the first of three times the steering was so bad I didn't make it 2 miles before I took it back. that bill was over 5 k, oh and none of the issues were taken care of. 2nd trip out of shop I drove 15 miles and almost ran off road twice, the shop fix was to purchase an un needed drag link at 800 plus dollars and lower the tire pressure....REALLY. I then threaten with lawsuit for fraud parts and don't you know they finally put on the 200 dollar part it needed in the first place for free. what a business they have. these clowns even recommended the part on a previous visit there. Long story: The other day my car wouldn't start after trying to jump it several times. I then also noticed that the relays were clicking in the fuse box. So I figured that one was blown. After switching them around in the fuse box, they were all clicking and I figured I had bigger issues with the control module. I had it towed to wastler because I was in a pinch and they were open on the weekend. After dropping it off they told me it would be only a day. WELL, two days later I finally get a call back and thankfully it was only my car battery and not one of the control modules - an expensive fix. When I went in, they tried charging me 500 dollars for replacing and testing my battery, and running a diagnostic on my engine on my fuel pump and running their scan tool. (Everyone knows that they can check both by running the same test with their scan tool). They tried charging me over 200 dollars for a battery and $35 for a battery test. Something that can be done for free at any autoparts store. On top of all of this they tried selling me services I didn't needed. Claiming I needed a fuel injection system service (only needed if engine is acting up) and my transmission serviced every 30,000 miles (I have a lifetime fluid and changed it myself not 10,000 miles ago). They were dishonest and overcharged me for simple services. When I tried arguing about the battery "service fee" the front desk first claimed it was for an instillation fee, then again claimed it was for a battery test. Which one is it guys? The only thing they care about is ripping people off, not honesty. DO NOT GO HERE!!! After talking to my neighbor about it, she told me that she was charged $140 for a conventional oil change! WHO DOES THAT!? Only the most crooked mechanics. They are robber barons. BEWARE AND BE WARNED! read more

If you value your money and your life DO NOT GO TO THESE COMPANY!!! I paid THOUSANDS of dollars for all new tires and rims on my Jeep. Not even 5000 miles later my jeep is being towed in with a flat tire. They told me it is NOT under warranty because it was the valve stem but they replaced it at no charge as a courtesy. Well, NOT EVEN A MONTH LATER I was being towed in again for another flat tire!!! Well at this point I decided to look why I AGAIN have another the flat tire and noticed a second valve stem was rotted. So I decided to look at the other 2 and yes all 3 were rotted! I had it towed in for the 2nd time where they proceeded to tell me it was my fault because the manufacture suggest I rotate my tires every 5000 miles and at that time it would have been noticed if there was a problem with the valve stem. I asked them if they even looked at the mileage and the guy said he did not and I said that is quite evident because there is not even 5000 miles on them tires!! Also, as you stated a problem could have been noticed and address well it was there a month prior being towed in because of a flat tire so why didn't they check the other 3 at that time. He didn't have a thing to say to me.. he was dumbfounded. If you value your money and your life do not go to this company!!! I was lucky that I was not driving on a highway when they went or I could have wrecked! They use crappy quality parts and charge a premium for them and then do not warranty their work and blame the customer!! read more

I went to this place for a second opinion. Instead of getting an upfront answer, I got a totally different set of "problems" than what a dealership service department had told me. I got a "required" brake repair at the tune of just under $400. When I let the person I was dealing with know that a dealership had not found this new issue, there was silence. Clearly, their integrity was called into question and this was clearly avoided and there was no attempt to be honest or forthright. Military/veterans beware, don't expect any service, loyalty or honesty from this place. Take it from a Marine. I almost got burned for several hundred dollars. Luckily, I got out of there with only a $90 bill and a couple of wasted days. Typical sleazy aspect of the automotive industry. They have latest technology and were able to email photos and process of the repair and it was done efficiently. Sadly I used Wastler in the past successfully but this time it was an expensive mistake. I took my automatic transmission truck in because it was shifting rough to have diagnostics done. They performed $4,400.00 worth of repairs. The repairs included a new torque converter, turbo fan position sensor and three new glow plugs. When I picked up the truck it shifted the same as when I dropped it. Spent some time on youtube and found that a corroded connector is a very typical cause of the rough shifting and it should have been the first thing checked. I was able to fix this myself!! So a professional garage ignored the basics and went directly to a very costly and lengthy repair. This is my primary work truck for an independent contractor so a huge expense and time lost. Can I give negative stars? Horrible Service! Don't even get your oil changed here!! We have used Wastler for years because they were close. More and more they have been overcharging and things just didn't seem right. I just took my Dad's SUV to them for oil change and tire rotation as he is dealing with my disabled Mom and his own health issues. They did not even rotate the tires, they did not check the hoses or fluids (some were empty) and they did diagnostics we did not ask for. When I called about the issues they could not even offer an apology. Tim is rude and unapologetic for the lousy service. This after we just spent a lot of money on services for our cars. I toke my 2004 F-150 in for a tune-up. After 3 days and 1800.00+ dollars my truck was miss firing so bad I could hardly get home. The clown at Wastler said they thought it was the timing chain. If it was the timing chain it would have been miss firing when I took it in. It was not, it running very well. The only reason for the tune up was because going out of town and the truck has 108000 miles on it. I toke the truck away from them and took it to Century Ford. The guys there only took a couple of hours to find 2 of the spark plugs were cracked. They charged me $256.00 and my truck is running great. I would not let wastler check my tire pressure ever. This would be a negative star if possible. My husband is a Master Certified technician of over 30 years. He fixed up an older car to resell to friends of ours. He needed an inspection and heard good things about Wastler. They are close to us so we decided to give them a shot. The car failed inspection due to a few things: a couple very inexpensive fixes - a little light bulb, etc. Then the kicker - all 4 shocks were failed. Along with that, the car had never been driven - on the report, miles in and out were the same (which is required law). The bill to fix everything came to over $2400. The car is worth $2200. I had paid the $90 inspection bill since it was the end of the day and my husband couldn't get there from his job. When he found out it the shocks failed, he looked up the inspection criteria for shocks and found all 4 passed the test. He replaced the couple little things that evening (which totaled $30 in parts). The next morning, he confronted the very grumpy technician who had not used a proper test (he didn't bounce the corners) for the shocks the day before. My husband performed the proper test right in front of him and he then agreed to change the report. We almost called the State police for this bad practice. I can imagine someone who doesn't know better would just believe them and pay that outrageous bill. So please, get a second opinion. read more

I brought my truck in to have new tires mounted and balanced. While it was there, they told me that the truck needed an alignment, as well (I had just had an alignment done 3-4 weeks prior and it was driving fine). Since I was putting new tires on the truck and they told me that the alignment was "way off," I agreed to the alignment, as well. When I picked the truck up I noticed that there was a pretty strong pull to the right and a there was a vibration beginning at about 40/50 mph. I brought the truck back in and they completed a second alignment (3rd alignment in a month). When I picked the truck up, it pulled less, but it no longer turned left well and still had the vibration. As I was not inclined to keep dropping the truck off and getting it "fixed," which was resulting in it driving worse than when I brought it in, I took the truck to my dealership. The dealership advised that the tires were significantly out of balance and the alignment was bad. The dealership balanced the tires and completed an alignment (4th alignment in about a month). When I left the dealership, the truck finally drove straight and the vibration was gone. Now, the tire pressure monitoring system has stopped registering the tire pressure, even though it was serviced and reset as part of the mount/balance at Wastler. I have an appointment to bring the truck back to the dealership to have this problem fixed, too. So far, Wastler Tire Pros has cost me over $200 at their shop and over $200 to fix the mess they made of my truck (we'll see how much it costs to reset/fix the tpms). I called Wastler today and they assured me that the manager (who was in training this morning) would call me this afternoon to address the problems. However, I never received a call. At this time, Wastler has not done anything to make these problems right. I will update this review if I ever hear from the Wastler Tire Pros manager and if they are willing to do anything to correct how much money I've spent fixing the mess they made. read more

If you want to have everything that could possibly be wrong with your vehicle fixed, including things that were not broken before you took the vehicle in to them then this is the place to go. a repair order that started with just fix a stalling vehicle escalated to a destroyed battery that had to be replaced, drive computer reset, broken fuel line, leaking power steering, and replacement tires needed. I finally got so frustrated with them that I sent a tow truck to take the vehicle somewhere else. read more

I recently visited Wastler Tire Pro to have an oil change. My car is an Audi Quattro that takes a unique, synthetic oil. From start to finish, my experience at Wastler was top-notch. The front desk staff are super-knowledgeable and friendly. The waiting area is clean and comfortalbe. The oil change: excellent, and they used 5W 40, as recommended. Plus all the fluids were topped off. They also did a thorough check of my engine, timing belt, water pump, brakes, brake rotors, spark plugs, transmission, exhaust system, etc. and gave me a fair and honest written assessment of what needs fixing. (It's worth mentioning that my car is 10 years old so some things were expected). At no point did I feel pressured to get additional work done. And best of all, the oil change came in at $4 less than my local Mechanic. Highly recommend this company: they are honest and their prices are reasonable. read more

This wiuld be negative stars if possible! Horrible experience! Shady, not honest with 78 year old woman. My mom took her car there to change the oil and check a couple things. Only supposed to be the day. She was home all day so she wouldn't miss the call. Waited all day and finally got worried when she didn't hear anything at the end of the day. She called and was rudely told the service person had called her and left a message and the work was NOT completed because they never heard from her. There was NO CALL, NO MESSAGE! Now on to day 2 and she needed her car to go to work. She had to borrow a car for work and her car still sitting. When she finally was able to pick up her car, the bill was outrageous! All types of work she didn't ask for. So they messed up and stuck it to an elderly woman! She didn't know what to do, so she paid the outrageous Bill and just wanted her car back. After all that the problem she asked them to check was still a problem. She had to take it to another place and arrange for a car again after all that. She wanted to support the local business, but turned out to be a mess. I am writing on her behalf because I believe in the local honest business that looks out for their customers, not the one padding the bill and adding unnecessary work!!! read more
