I chose to set up an appointment with Water Heater Specialists SPECIFICALLY because the message they sent me said they offer a "free in-person assessment." So I was pretty surprised when the technician showed up at my house and the first thing he said was "there is an $89 assessment fee." That's pretty shady. I showed him the message and he said he'd "never seen that before." AT BEST this is a disorganized business where the owner and workers don't communicate. Efficient-- he said it would take 2.5 hrs and it only took until 323pm to get rid of the old 16 yr water heater and put in the new one. Last week we noticed water at the base of the heater in the drip tray so I called WHS because of their mailers they send out. I got an appointment the following morning. I sent a picture of the heater with model number and also explained that the recirculating pump was not working. When Nock showed up the following morning he arrived with a replacement heater and pump and set to work. He was very professional and fun to talk to. The quote he gave us wasn't the cheapest I'd head Nita's he had all of the replacement parts with him and he clearly knew what he was talking about I went ahead. After almost 13-years of service our water heater gave up the ghost in spectacular fashion, first by leaking a substantial amount of water onto our garage floor and then by loudly vibrating and whining at an unsettling high pitch. After providing a comprehensive explanation of why the water heater had leaked and made such unsettling noises, Nick was able to carry out the job of replacing our old unit on the spot.
