So I was pretty surprised when the technician showed up at my house and the first thing he said was "there is an $89 assessment fee." That's pretty shady. I showed him the message and he said he'd "never seen that before." AT BEST this is a disorganized business where the owner and workers don't communicate. I guess when you don't drain your heater every year and flush it out, the ceramic lining ends up being eaten by the minerals in the water. These stickers helpfully inform us how to avoid damage when leakages occurs and instruct us what to do if we smell gas after an earthquake) Water Heater Specialists promptly sent out Nick to give us an estimate. After providing a comprehensive explanation of why the water heater had leaked and made such unsettling noises, Nick was able to carry out the job of replacing our old unit on the spot. Nick took just under 3-hours to install the new unit which he conveniently had brought with him. It was actually our water heater of choice, a Bradford White, Eco Defender, Energy Saver, which made us very happy.
