So my water heater goes down on a Friday Night after 9:00 pm. Wife is upset, kids are mad. I call and leave a message. About 7:30am on Sat morning no call back so I call again (at the request from my wife) and he answers. I was lucky to find Jim by searching for cheap water heater replacement on Google. Of course I had my hesitation at first but after seeing his reviews around the web, decided to give him a call. After leaving him a voicemail, Jim returned my call promptly and advised me he could be out by next morning. Once getting Jim the information he needed, he came out the next day with a 40 Gallon natural gas Water heater for my house. Jim carried a Rheem brand water heater for my needs. After reading the reviews out there for different brands, it made me very comfortable knowing that Jim carried Rheem. Leaking water heater and failed shut off valve shut my house down overnight. Based on Yelp reviews I called Jim who returned my call promptly. After describing the problem he graciously attempted to help me get the water heater replaced for free via Sears warranty (note: he wouldn't have made a penny from that). Great service and an excellent price. I did the math and it was about $100 more than the cost of buying one from Homedepot without installation. Having a water heater delivered and installed for only $100-$120 over the cost of doing it yourself is well worth it. I called around and other companies were charging $200 more. Great service and great price. My 11-year old water heater blew out, I called Jim about 8am Monday, texted picture of old heater to him, and he was on-site by about 10am. Replaced heater, new water pipes and valve, new pressure relief line, new gas line, new drain pan, cleaned up, hauled away old one and fired it up before noon. We thought our water heater might need to be replaced since it was 6 1/2 years old when we saw the pressure relief had released a small amount of calcified water. We were especially concerned with the holidays approaching. We found great reviews for Water Heaters 4 Less on Yelp and gave them a call. Gordon promptly called back . He was out of town but asked that I text him a picture of the water heater. After inspecting the picture he said it might only be the pressure relief valve and gave me Richard's number to call. Richard came out the following Monday, checked the valve and the water pressure. He said the pressure was good and the valve was working as it should and did not appear to be broken. He said to call if there was a steady flow from the valve or any other issues. No charge....amazing nowadays! They have my business for sure when needed. read more

As an ex-contractor I'm careful with whom I let into my house. I had a 14-year old hot water tank and knew its day's were numbered. Called Jim last week after finding his ad on the web and getting 2 other quotes. I'm normally a DIY guy first, because when I've got a problem around the house I'd rather just fix it myself instead of trying to call contractors, get bids, schedule time off, and all of that headache. So when my electric water heater stopped working, I had originally planned on replacing the elements and thermostat. Once I got the panels opened up, I saw a rusty wet mess and realized that after 17 years, my old heater was just plain done. I thought about swapping it myself, but decided to at least look around at just having it replaced. Jim has his pricing laid out extremely clearly on his website, right down to listing out all of the things he includes with a new installation, like the drip pan and supply lines. On top of that, he brings the new heater to you, and hauls the old one away. I don't have a truck big enough to do that, so I'd also have to add either a truck or trailer rental, along with dump fees, just to get the new heater home and the old heater gone. All told, I maybe spent in the range of $100-$120 over a DIY job, and all I had to do was clear a path in the garage. All it took to schedule Jim was one phone call, followed by texting him a few photos of the existing heater and work area. He was flexible on scheduling, showed up right at the time we agreed on, and got right to work. He's got a few tricks up his sleeve getting an old sediment-filled water heater to drain without making a big mess in the process. Jim got the old heater disconnected and removed, cleaned up some of the damage the old heater left, and soldered on new supply lines, a new supply valve, and extended the pressure relief line to fit the slightly taller new heater. Less than two hours start to finish, and true to his word the final bill was exactly what is laid out on his site. I have hot water again, and better yet, the peace of mind that I no longer have a ticking time bomb waiting to flood my garage. Thank you again Jim for reminding me that there is a very real value to paying someone who knows how to get it done the right time the first time! His experience in what he does definitely shows. My initial call went to voice mail. He was quick to call me back and talk me thru the pricing. Our water heater leaked the morning we were leaving on vacation. Called Jim on a Sunday to schedule a Thursday morning appointment (the day we got back) and wasn't expecting a callback until Monday. However, Jim responded shortly via phone, and after a few rounds of texts showing him the heater and its location, he said he was all set. I was a bit worried that when we got back that I would get a call like "oh, sorry ..." or "I can't make it", or worse, a no show. Luckily, that was not the case. I texted him when we were driving home from the airport to say we could do it about 30 mins earlier if he was able to, and true to his word, he showed up and was ready to go. During the install, I found that Jim was experienced, knowledgeable, efficent, and polite. There was no upselling, and I never felt that Jim was not being 100% truthful. The install came out great, they were in-and-out in about an hour and a half, and we had hot water. I woke up for work at 5am and found I had no hot water. I checked my water heater and don't that it was leaking. It was pretty much dead. Jim is the real deal. Grade A+++ all around. Communication, price and execution cannot be better. I called Jim on Friday afternoon and he showed up on Saturday. He brought his college age son (classy kid, future Air Force Airman...) to help him. Cleanup was great and Jim took the time to explain the water heater features and dial settings in detail (no need to read the manual that he left with the unit :) , I hate reading manuals). The product that he installed (Rheem 50 gallon gas fired WH) is of high quality; I am looking forward to many years of trouble free service. One note, my water heater was the original builder install in 2007 (~ 7 to 8 years old). I decided to replace it proactively as I had started to see residue around one of the drain ports. Once Jim and his son had my old unit out, they showed me the rusty feet that were in the back and they said that I made the right call as the until was getting close to collapsing and that would not have been good. If you see leakage/rust, I would recommend a call to Jim and have him come out for an inspection.
