    Blackberry sour

This was a beautiful place to have a meal looking out onto the water and sand dunes. I was going to start with a cup of chowder and have some haddock. The waitress was nice enough to offer me to have a cup of the chowder instead of salad that came with 1 piece of pan dried haddock. It was perfect size meal for 1 with the choice of 1 or 2 pieces of haddock. I prefer the pan-fried as it typically has less batter than deep fried. It was nice and flaky. The seafood chowder was nice. It was not thick like some other restaurants but had a nice mix of lobster, scallops and fish. The service was excellent. I also had a blackberry sour which was very tasty.

2nd time to the island and 1st time here for lunch. Everything we ordered was delicious and OMG they give you so much fries which were crispy and good. Great service and friendly staff. Perfect place to go grab before or after the beach

Fish tacos are incredible! Service is good. Upstairs is quite noisy. Outside deck is nice. Views from the restaurant are beautiful. Go to Harrys for i e cream afterwards!!!

    The view

One of the most beautiful spots you'll eat takeaway! Fin Folk Food is located at a former Island haunt, colloquially referred to in the past as "Pogey Beach" (Google the Island-inspired fictional film) because of the stunning beach location Islanders could access without paying a fee. The setting will take your breath away! From delicious lobster rolls, fish tacos, hot dogs, and chilli - it's a great way to eat and see the beach! Service is always spot on. Once you find the spot (plan for a walk on the beach or even a swim), order from the downstairs counter. The staff will provide you with a buzzer before you depart to find a table (beautiful views from inside or outside seating).

Fish tacos are outstanding. I had the sampler and lobster roll was generous. We were able to take our dog and the service was friendly and attentive.

What a view and ambiance. Really enjoyed our meal this spring when we were in PEI. Kid friendly, too. Service was solid.

As this is Prince Edward Island (PEI), I had to order the super fresh oysters! Exceptional flavor, color, juice and you could tell these were only a few hours from being caught! They only needed a kiss of lemon and minimal if any Tabasco. Very tender and unique as these were from the St Lawrence River side NOT the Atlantic. If you're looking for a non- touristy place where the locals eat, this is one of those places! For cruisers- it's only 2 more blocks down from the cruise port!

As a lifelong Scallop consumer I KNOW the difference between in-house battered scallops & what's brought in from a food distributor. I ordered a Scallop Meal ($40.99) with fries, which were very good & an extra order of scallops ($16.99). I wouldn't have purchased or even eaten at this spot if they weren't in fact house prepared scallops. The fried scallops were place on a bed of wet lettuce garnishing, everyone knows that when you place something fried on something wet...the fried food becomes soggy! As for the service was ok but I had to ask for a water refill, extra napkins & I ran out of tartar sauce. A really good server monitors their patrons from afar & knows to take care of the things above BEFORE the patrons asks. This location positions themselves as very good but they're just mediocre with really expensive scallops! Keep In mind that this is a very small location with seating for about 20-30 people. I'd maybe do again but I wouldn't make it a destination. From my experience, there's likely better seafood restaurants on PEI.

At first, I thought I should've worn a button-down shirt, but I quickly noticed a mix of attire--some people dressed up, others in shorts--so it felt welcoming and relaxed. We started with oysters, which were absolutely delicious--completely different from the ones I've had in Florida. For my main course, I ordered the special of the day: baked halibut in a jerk sauce, served with Irish mashed potatoes and shrimp. The halibut was cooked perfectly--flaky, buttery, and flavorful. The jerk sauce added just the right amount of kick. The shrimp were tasty too, though I do wish there had been more of them, or at least a bit larger in size. That was really my only complaint. For dessert, we tried the bread pudding and the sticky date pudding. Both came out hot, rich, and absolutely melt-in-your-mouth good. By the end of the meal, we left happily stuffed and excited to explore more of the fish and shellfish PEI has to offer. Service was excellent--our waitress was efficient, friendly, and refreshingly no-nonsense. I'd highly recommend Claddagh's for anyone looking for a great dinner in a warm, lively atmosphere.

And at Malpeque Oyster Barn, you're eating them just steps from where they're pulled from the water--sometimes within hours. The setting is part of the charm: an old fishing shack that's been turned into a small, inviting dining room with views of the harbour. It's casual and unfussy, the kind of place where the smell of saltwater mixes with the sound of gulls outside. We kept things classic--Malpeque oysters, mussels, and a lobster roll. The oysters were some of the best we had on the island, briny and clean with that signature Malpeque sweetness. The mussels were plump and tender, and the lobster roll came with a side of creamy potato salad (yes, I know, I keep talking about the potatoes--but it's PEI, and they really are that good). It's not just about the quality here--it's about proximity. Eating oysters this close to where they're harvested gives a sense of place you can't replicate off-island. Friendly service, incredible seafood, and an authentic maritime atmosphere make Malpeque Oyster Barn a stop worth planning your trip around.
