    Pain Killer
    Laura P.

I stand on my first review 6 years ago- still a great place to relax, chill and hang with your friends. The Pain Killer was a perfect drink to start the weekend, and let the flavors carry you away to a tropical paradise - in January! Service was super friendly, helpful and the bar tender was a skilled mix master!!

Another magical evening where I had a place ALL to myself on a weeknight, so I got to really soak in the atmosphere. Classic tiki decor, very well done. They were celebrating Halloween when I visited, so all their drinks were spooky themed. I had screaming robot noises (rum, overproof Jamaican rum, falernum, herbal liqueur, mango syrup, bitters, lime, mint, etc). Described as bold, boozy, and juicy, I enjoyed this one most probably. I also had the feral mutation in the cutest little Gizmo gremlin mug. Mad with rum Agricola blanc, cacao nib-infused cocchi americano, pistachio orgeat, and lime. I was worried this drink would be too chocolatey or sweet, but it was more earthy and very subtle. The verdant veil: tequila, cachaca, falernum, aloe, pandan (interesting Thai ingredient that I wasn't super familiar with), acid-adjusted strawberry, boba, and mint. I had a clarified milk punch made with Froot Loops called "Frootian Rings," which was super funky and nostalgic. I had a baked pretzel as a snack, made with a superb spicy mango salsa. It really hit the spot. Bites here are just bar snacks, like nuts and chips. They have a huge menu with something for everyone. Matt was my bartender and he was awesome!

Water Witch Tiki bar is such a cute hidden gem. When you walk in you are instantly surrounded by an island bar vibe and right now they also have it decorated for Halloween. The bartender was so friendly and welcoming, going very indepth about the menu and different offerings. The drinks are amazing and so delicious. They are really made with love! Unfortunately, the snack menu is very limited and some items weren't available. The bathroom is super clean and even smelled really good. I will definitely be back for some of the themed nights.

Never expected what we saw when we walked in the door. This is a super cute tiki bar close to Starland Yard. They make the best drinks! We will definitely be coming back with more friends!

I'm a tiki bar lover, so when in Savannah I sought this bar out. Street parking is available. It's a true tiki bar with great decor, solid drinks, and great branding. We left with a cool mug to add to the collection. Bartenders were super helpful and friendly. I love sitting at the bar to watch the action, but there is a variety of seating on two levels. They also have great bar snacks to soak up the alcohol. The second best part was the live music which was starting just as we arrived. A man named Noah was playing that evening and he was excellent. Super authentic tiki vibes and great bartenders make for a good night.

This place has such a cool vibe and eclectic decorations! We visited on a Wednesday night so there weren't many people inside. We sat at the bar and our bartender promptly came over to offer us recommendations and take our order. Our bourbon drinks were tasty! We will be back as we want to experience it on a busier night! It would be a great place to hang out with friends in a casual bar setting.

This is by far probably one of my favorite tiki bars from the ones I have gone to! The atmosphere was perfect, the decor was so well done and more of a modern/coastal tiki (not sure exactly how to describe it) but everything about it was great and I really loved the vibe! Our bartender was Brick and he had amazing flair! He really knew how to prepare all the drinks and it was fun to watch him! He was also super attentive! It wasn't busy at all, but we were also there on Tuesday (on purpose). We ordered a couple drinks each, and each one was super tasty: 1. La Noche Ardiente (my favorite - I love a good spicy tiki drink!) 2. Painkiller (classic!) 3. Jungle Bird 4. Isle of Hope Would definitely recommend and come back!!!

Water Witch is a tropical getaway nestled into a Savannah neighborhood storefront. This tiki bar isn't a speakeasy - you can stroll right in sans password. The interior is well decorated, floor to ceiling, with island themed goodies and no shortage of bamboo. The bar boasts an impressive menu of tiki drinks, including a few larger, group drinks. They serve up a few small bites like nuts and pretzels and a couple appetizer type dishes. Their menu has guava cheese buns but when I ordered, they were out. Bummer. Got the spicy pretzels instead and they paired well with my relatively sweet drink. The bartender was friendly and helpful and the establishment was super clean. Fun bar, relaxed vibes, high alcohol content. Cheers!

This hidden gem is located in the Starland district just a short walk from Starland yard, next a great Japan Street food restaurant and The Vault restaurant and street parking is available. From the sidewalk this hidden gem doesn't give much away but once you enter you find that it's actually a tiki bar. There are tall tiki statues, and theme mask along the walls and around the tables. It's dimly lit to make it feel cozy but still bright enough that you can see the menu and your party. I've been visiting twice. Once during the summer and I had a tropical fruit drink with rum and again right after thanksgiving. They made me a coconut milk eggnog served in a frosty mug which was fun and super cute and then a coconut milk margarita which was delicious. The house sangria is also delicious and made fresh. The staff have always been super friendly and knowledgeable on allergies and what is good to mix with what. I've never been great at being at to figure out what I want mix drinks wise. I like that they can whip up something base off my mood and my allergy's.

Water Witch does not look like much from the outside, but is a cool tiki bar once you step inside. It's a bit off from the downtown, which meant it wasn't so busy and we were easily able to get a table, despite a larger group. We ordered at the bar, the bar tender was friendly and good with his recommendations. Lots of drinks with fun names and in theme glasses, from sharks to lite barrels. Great spot!

Water Witch is an amazing tiki bar tucked in the trendy Starland District. This was one of the first places we hit up when we got to Savannah and it would definitely be a regular spot if I lived there. It's super low key so great spot to have a drink after work, start/end the night, or just stay as your destination. Drinks were great and came in unique and fun glassware. Bar tender was friendly and gave us some recs for what to do in town so total win.

We were wandering around the Starland District when we decided to seek out a cocktail bar. When I saw the Water Witch was close by, I knew we had to give it a try (4.5 star average tiki bar? Yes, please). We walked in and it's like you're in a different world. They definitely leaned into the tiki theme and I'm here for it. We sat at the bar but there's plenty of table seating as well. For my first drink, I got their pier pressure, which is a tiki-tinged version of an old fashioned. It was a delight. For my second beverage, I got their tiki-negroni, which was also great! The service was lovely throughout our visit. Amazing mixology + fun atmosphere + great service = an amazing evening at Water Witch! Get to it!

A simply excellent tiki bar across the board. Bartender was fantastic for suggestions, mixing and commentary on some of the drinks they made. Atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect and what you'd want in a tiki bar. Drinks were well made and incredibly unique. Can't recommend enough.

Surprisingly, the place…read morewas nearly empty--we only noticed about six other guests inside--but even with such a small crowd, the service was extremely slow. Our server seemed confused throughout the visit, and getting our orders placed and delivered took much longer than expected. We ordered several appetizers and drinks. The appetizers were okay, but the portions were quite small for the price. The cocktails were beautifully presented, but unfortunately, their appearance was the most impressive thing about them. They were just okay in flavor and didn't seem strong at all. The tiki décor was genuinely neat, though, and the merchandise selection was cool enough that we purchased one of their tiki mugs as a souvenir. Sadly, the interesting atmosphere and attractive drink presentations couldn't overcome the poor service, lackluster cocktails, and overpriced food. Overall, it was a pretty big disappointment, and I don't see us returning. However, the evening did provide one final and unexpected treasure. As we left, we encountered a mariachi band performing hits from the '80s, '90s, and today. I requested "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)," but they solemnly informed me that the song could not be performed without a tuba. Instead, they launched into NSYNC's "Bye Bye Bye," which felt less like a musical request and more like the universe formally dismissing us from the premises. The tiki bar may have been a letdown, but being serenaded out of Savannah by a mariachi boy band almost made the evening worthwhile.

These are a must try if you like wings. Chicken and pancake tacos were delicious. Pancakes had a touch of sweetness. Fried chicken inside with a spicy mayo. Topped with a strawberry salsa that worked well. 3 of these were very filling. Fun and very good. Son had the double wide footlong. Topped with sloppy Joe. After that the 2 sides were different. One had fried banana peppers. The other side more classic with toppings. Son said it was really good. Others had the ahi tuna salad. Tuna was perfectly rare. Salad was good and the wasabi dressing had great flavor without being too spicy. Service was quick even though jam packed. Also very friendly.

Treylor Park was probably exactly what we needed at 11:30 at night…read more It's somewhere between a diner and a sports bar, but the decor is what makes it. The whole place is designed to feel like the inside of a trailer--spray-painted antique chandeliers, old pictures of different trailer parks, and random little details everywhere. It's kitschy, but very intentional, and honestly pretty cool. We came in late after a 4h drive into town after work, and the staff was still super friendly and accommodating. No "we're about to close" energy, which I appreciated. We started with the creamy collard dip, which is basically their take on spinach-artichoke dip, but with collards. Really good. I do think the chips were a little too heavy for the dip--a thinner chip would've been perfect--but that's a small note. The chicken pancake tacos were probably my favorite. The chicken was fried perfectly and still really moist. And at this point, I'm convinced Savannah just knows how to cook chicken. Everywhere we went, the chicken was consistently good. My partner got the grilled apple pie sandwich, which has fried chicken, grilled apples and bacon. He's not even a big pork person, but that bacon was so crispy and the whole combination just worked. Even the waffle fries were good--crispy, fresh and actually seasoned. We had the Grateful Dead and Wicked Kiwi cocktails, plus a couple of shots, and the drinks were strong, good and reasonably priced. Honestly, I don't have a ton of notes here. It's not trying to be some elevated dining experience. It's just a really good late-night spot with good food, strong drinks, friendly service and a fun atmosphere. We sat inside because Savannah in August was not about to have us sitting on anybody's patio. Definitely recommend, especially if you're looking for somewhere to eat late. It was a vibe, the food was good, and it did exactly what it needed to do.
