I hate to talk smack on a locally-owned family business, but I am still a little incensed from my last visit there, where I had a nail in my tire, and they charged me thirty bucks to fix it (for reference, I had a small tractor tire repaired here a year or so ago, and they charged $4.00 (Thanks Perry). Most places charge $12-15 for a plug. There was a new guy there last time who I had never seen before, so I guess since he is new, he decided to charge me double to impress the bosses (I didn't say anything that day, because I am generally a mild-mannered guy, but I've been bothered ever since, especially because my check tire light keeps going off, and I had to put air in my tires three times since the repair. Also, the new guy told me after the service, that my tires were getting "feathered" or some term like that, which I'd never heard before. I asked what it meant, and he said it was probably from not rotating the tires enough (Admittedly, I have had them rotated a few times, but not too frequently). Well, I bought those tires here, and they offer free tire rotations on tires purchased here, so why didn't he offer to rotate them for me? Anyways, I think I am done with Calabro, I am tired of the poor service and high costs. Sorry Jeanine, Perry, Butch, and all the rest of the staff ... No more Cheers for you! P.S. I just remembered, my wife's car had a slow leak also, from the last time it was repaired at Calabro. She took it some place near where she works, and it was plugged for ten bucks!

When I asked why an employee had me tow the car to the shop yesterday for spacers he accused me of having an attitude and told me "You can come pick up your car if your going to have an attitude." To which I responded by beginning to record the conversation. Long story short. This my first time using Brice Brothers. Jesse was thoroughly unprofessional. They don't post their prices on the wall of certain jobs such as oil change, tire balancing, etc they verbally say what the cost will be. By law in Pennsylvania approval from the customer should give consent by signature, prior to the work being performed. They did not do that.

I arrived at 5:45 p.m. was not given any prior indication that this appointment would be declined. Received multiple emails all day confirming appointment. If we won't honor a 6:00 p.m. reservation. Why is this time slot even offered? I believe a revamp to the website and the online services should be updated to avoid these confusing practices. Firestone should stand by their online appointments especially when it offers free tire rotation after a purchase of tires. This is how you lose a customer basis. Their motto Complete Auto Care should encompass the complete and thorough customer experience according to their own policy.( THE TRIPLE PROMISE). Will not be back for any future services. The major negative was that the final price came out nearly twice the original quote: close to $600 instead of the original $320. This was, I was told, because an additional part had to be sourced and installed. While I was already disappointed in this unexpected cost doubling, the icing on the cake was that I wasn't asked if I wanted to proceed with the repair. I was just informed that the cost had jumped, that the repair was complete, and that I now needed to pay up. This suggested to me that the original assessment of the damage had not been as thorough as it could have been. While a quote is an estimate, not a certainty, it's not good practice for businesses that run on quotes to let customers pay twice what they were originally expecting. In this situation, for instance, I would have appreciated a discount on the unexpected new part. That might have eaten into their profit margin, but it would have guaranteed that I would become a return customer, whereas now, I am not so sure.
