This is the worst food ever and it's overpriced for the quality of food, even the salad was bad. we had stuffed crab mushrooms with cheese on them or so hard you can't even enjoy them. The service was not good. there was lots of tables empty and they wouldn't let us sit by the window. we had called ahead to try to reserve and they told us they didn't reserve for a party at 2 but yet when we got there and they had refused to let us sit by the window a couple of couple came in and sat by the window. Not sure about that but there was lots of empty tables by the windows. being from Texas I will never go to this restaurant again and I do not recommend the stress not pressed on it all! read more

Food great, service not really good, bring a jacket if you are cold nature. The chocolate bread pudding is excellent!!

OystersWeemo--OmyOH! I'm all about baked oysters, and this appetizer (which was enough to serve as a full entree) was yumster! About 10 or 12 big plump oysters buried and baked under some type of magical mix of mushrooms, cheese, crumbs and butter, butter, butter. This dish was accompanied with french bread for dunking. And, of course you want to get every drop. read more

my first time coming here definitely wasn't a let down , a few people had talked down on this place but i have some positive words .. great setup & atmosphere & love the set up outside along the bayou . i got some vodka drinks which were stout. i got the grilled pork chops & they were spot on !! flavor was bold and very nice . got the stuffed potato which also didn't disappoint. i will definitely be re visiting in the near future read more

Best food i have had in a long time! Took a chance and ordered the Oyster Weemo for an appetizer and they were awesome. I had the Catfish Desiard and stuffed potato as an entree and they were so good i ate to much. Service was excellent as well. Will definitely make it a point to stop back in while I'm in town. read more

Sam burger is good and salad with the Cajun dressing ! Great burger and beer place , sunset is beautiful from the tables.

Great Location. This place sits right on a bayou with gorgeous night time views. Perfect for business lunches or romantic dinner dates. The signature dish, Waterfront Shrimp, can be served over angel hair pasta or rice. It is one of the best shrimp dishes I have ever had! The steamed veggies are actually perfectly cooked and have great color. Would eat here again and again. The owners are always in the building working the floor and the kitchen to ensure a great dining experience. Valet parking is also a nice touch. read more

What apretty view! First of all Thank you to 'Nick' for great service. We had such good dinner, and the local wine from Monroe was delicious as well. Can't go wrong with their specialty catfish desiard. My daughter had the chicken quesedilla, and i had the BBQ grilled shrimp (a little kick at the end). I think we all died and went to heaven With the bourbon bread pudding... yummy...thank you! read more

Downloaded the app and created an account just to say this. Took my girl on a date and she chose this place. The waitress made us feel rushed, we were in and out within 30 minutes on a Saturday night. Once we ordered the food came out in about ten minutes. The food had barely any taste, it was extremely bland. Teriyaki chicken tasted like unseasoned grilled chicken, the featured ribeye also had very little flavor. It couldn't have been marinated. The vegetables were hardly cooked as well. I'm not a picky eater, the food didn't taste bad, it just had very little flavor. This is ridiculous when paying upscale prices. I'm very disappointed, but I feel like I just chose a bad night to eat here. Also the bus boys were being unprofessional and joking around the entire time a few feet from our table and in clear view of dozens of paying customers. The spinach dip was on point though. 10/10 would recommend. Only reason why I give two stars! read more

I love a good steak and I love Shrimp Rockee. So what is my favorite entrée? The filet cooked medium rare, topped with those wonderful, huge, Gulf shrimp!!! I rarely eat a full meal, but I ate all of this! It was fabulous!! The crab stuffed mushroom were very good too! After all this food, there was no room for dessert! LOVED IT!!! read more

Shrimp Rakiee is one of the best things I have ever had!!!!!!! Waiter suggested it with rice instead of pasta ( you can get it either way). I love pasta but would suggest it with rice also!!! Amazing!!!!! read more

The outdoors scenery is a little over rated. The hill view is beautiful, it just wasn't the River view I was expecting. Food was fresh but semi warm with a nice friendly staff willing to accommodate. read more

The food was ok but a bit pricey for what you get. The appetizer was the most expensive thing we ordered and it was $15 for 8 shrimp. We felt a bit out of place since apparently this is a mostly by reservation type place and were dressed casually since we were just passing through. The reviews I had read made it seem pretty casual. One of my favorite local restaurants! I was home last week visiting from Chicago, and had a list of places I wanted to go eat. This place was at the top of my list. There is a perfect view of the bayou, and on a nice day, you can sit on the patio. The atmosphere is very quiet and relaxing. The decor goes perfectly with view of the bayou. I love that they have lots of healthy choices and nothing fried. I usually get the baked catfish, but this time I decided to get the Catfish Desiard, since it was featured in Southern Living Magazine. It was the best catfish I've ever eaten. It was a baked filet topped with bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, green onions, mushrooms, and shrimp. I always get the stuffed potato as my side....delish! I tried my boyfriend's BBQ shrimp, which had lots of flavor and a little spice. Our server this time was mediocre, but I've had plenty of great servers before him, so I can overlook it. read more

The BBQ shrimp are the best! Well, I guess I can't say that for sure because I've only had the BBQ shrimp because they are so delicious. I really don't want to try anything else until I burn myself out on those shrimp. The service is top notch. You can tell they run a tight ship here. Nice local seafood shack type place. Very friendly staff - even the busboys went out of their way to be welcoming. Waterfront shrimp dish was a scampi with a little Cajun spice thrown in. Good meal, cool atmosphere, waterfront seating on the backwater on the deck. Beer was cold and came quickly. Will definitely come back next time I'm in town. read more

Good food and a casual atmosphere overlooking the bayou. Everything is good from the Samburger to steaks. The interior has plenty of wood and windows, as well as ULM memorabilia. My kids like to watch the ducks and turtles in the bayou, and I like the food. A word of warning though...this is a grill in the strictest sense of the word. No fries. No fried anything. Everything is grilled. If you can live without that, this place is definitely worth checking out. read more

The shrimp rakee over pasta!! Reminds me of New Orleans style pasta dishes! And the white chocolate bread pudding... You can not pass it up!! This is my "usual" every time. Even if you don't like traditional bread pudding, you MUST try the white chocolate bread pudding here. I'm glad that I took the chance even though I'm not usually a bread pudding fan. read more

Passing thru Monroe and our hotel recommend this restaurant. We always like to try the local cuisine and ask for recommendations. I will say that this was the best recommendation we have had in a long time. We ordered the Shrimp Rakhee and the Catfish Desiard and both were a dish I will order again and recommend to anyone. Visiting with a few of the servers, we realized the owners employed students from the local college (ULM) and applaud them for that. We enjoyed the evening dining with great food, service and conversation. read more

We wanted to try this place, thought it had a great location with nice views. From the minute there we felt unwelcome. There did not appear to be a designated hostess, we had to get someone's attention for a table. A man told us we could sit in one of 3 tables, no where near a view. That's ok, I understand being we were walk-ins on a Friday night. One of the tables was completely slanted, they were all cramped in. We chose one and sat down. A bus boy brought us two waters but we were never acknowledged by anyone else. I have never felt so uncomfortable in a place. We are from south Louisiana and I admit can be somewhat of a snob when it comes to seafood. We got up and left, alas never tasting a bite of food. I am one not to complain, but the customer service was so poor here that we will never go back. I have no idea what the food tastes like but the menu did not prompt us to stay. My husband, who used to manage a prominent restaurant, stated he felt this place was probably so used to being busy that they could care less about customer service. That's a shame, because we are good patrons who tip generously. read more
