We ate here recently and were disappointed. The restaurant was not crowded yet the parking lot was full. Parking was difficult, the employees must take up the spots. My friend's chicken sandwich was dry and nothing special. My crab cake sandwich had absolutely NO crab in it. None at all. It was a fried bread patty. I could not eat it. We found ourselves way out east over the weekend, and realized we were an hour from home and should find someplace to have lunch. We asked Google Maps what is good and nearby. We were told that Watermark was five minutes away, and people liked it. We verified that in Yelp, and sure enough, let's go. This is not the sort of place you'd find by accident - on a minor coastal road and pretty much off by itself. The parking lot was so packed that we had to give up on it and park on the road. We were told that there would be a slight delay for a table, but seeing the enthusiastic crowd, we figured it might be worth it. It was. We got a really great roomy table, and our server was a gem. Looking back over the reviews here, we got their star quarterback in Connor, who sat down at a spare chair and talked to us about what to eat. Within two minutes, we were old friends. I'm a big fan of originality in menus, and they had it to spare. I ended up with the fried chicken sandwich and Donna had the Left Coast sandwich. Ham turkey and swiss on crainberry bread. They were both delicious and too much for one sitting. Connor even offered to wrap my mayo. The vibe was enthusiastic but not horribly loud, the food was unifromly great and the service was superior. I recently stayed in the area for a wedding and was looking for somewhere fun to get breakfast the next morning. This place had really good reviews, so decided to check it out. They had a lot of fun options, but I got the "ultimate pancakes", which had bananas and blueberries, and also ordered a side of bacon. The service was great and food came out quickly! The onlyyy thing I wish they had was flavored iced coffee, but I was happy with the orange juice instead, so it's not a huge deal. Would definitely come back! read more

November 17th 2024 - Fairly packed, so be prepared. We had reservation and arrived 7 minutes after 11 am opening and a little table work but had a good 4 top/hi top at the bar. Packed by the time we left!! Connor was simply world class waiter and the bus servers and the well played one defense from other servers was exceptional. Attentive but not pesky. The food was as expected terrific. As a hobbyist food critical, I reviewed over 30 restaurants for breakfast excellence in FL The classic eggs Benedict here would.habe been a top 5 finisher in Florida. And you can get it eight here in Long Island!!!! Eggs were textbook and perfect. Ham and muffin cooked.perfecy and arrived hot with exact amount of hollandaise sauce that was smooth and silky. Other breakfasts were also great. Multi grain bread great. On dish had some burnt pieces. No.biggy. the hash browns/potatoes, we a little cool / room temp, again just some attention of delivery or kitchen exit. Another awesome experience. I had the Watermark salad with salmon and it was perfect- dressed well but not too much and salmon had the best crisp on the outside. My mom has the quesadilla and she loved it. Good wines by the glass for happy hour- including local stuff! First time here after biking with my husband and son. We absolutely loved it. Such a cute interior and outdoor seating. Breakfast was delicious. Coffee on point and service excellent! We ate watermark salad to start and meatloaf and short ribs for entrees. The salad was wilted and the dressing was like a super sweet strawberry jelly. The short ribs and meatloaf were served hot, too much gravy on both, needed larger portion of veggies. Rice was boring-Tasted like microwave bag. Short ribs had good amount of fat and I could cut it without a fork. Meatloaf was soft and flavorful. The host was upbeat and friendly and our server was outstanding. He came down to our eye level to talk about the menu, make eye contact and check on us through out the meal. For dessert we had carrot cake. It tasted like a coffee shop muffin. Nothing special. Food and service are so good! Nice casual local hidden gem. Only complaint is it gets very loud when it's crowded, which basically is any weekend night for dinner. Menu has a great variety of choices and everything is fresh and delicious. Specialty Cocktails are great. Not weak at all. Been here multiple times and always impressed with the food. We love nearby, so this is now part of our regular rotation of local places to have dinner. read more

First time visiting this restaurant and has an extraordinary experience. Both the food and service were fantastic. Had an opportunity to meet and speak with the owner who delivered food to our table (and offered some future recommendations if we revisited and we will). Staff were courteous, friendly and very professional. Restaurant was small but comfortable and inviting with outside seating available. Upon exiting we noticed a small outside seating area available to those waiting on a table. As I'm writing this 4 weeks after my visit I can't recall what my dish was but believe me every dish and appetizer were worth the visit. I remember the pumpkin mule drink which was great as well. We ordered the fried calamari as an appetizer. It was very crispy but when shared between 5 hungry people, the portion size was not enough for us lol. We definitely should've ordered 2 of those. I ordered the monte cristo which was so so delicious! It came with a huge serving of sweet potato fries and the sandwich was drizzled with powdered sugar and syrup. The perfect balance of sweet and savory. One of the servers even commented how I had made a good choice in ordering it as it was a crowd favorite. The classic eggs Benedict, the hungry man omelette, and egg sandwich were the perfect portion. The home fries were very flavorful and crispy on the outside yet soft in the inside. Reasonably priced for brunch. Staff was friendly and accommodating. It does get loud inside as the tables are close to each other. Excellent experience at Watermark. It is a hidden gem that I only found because of Yelp. The inside is modern and clean. Menu has good options for both food and cocktails/wine. Our waitress was incredibly friendly, patient and helpful as well as ALL of the staff. Everyone was so nice which I find unusual these days for a restaurant. It really gave such a friendly feeling. We dined with a toddler and everyone was so gracious. The staff would come over to him and interact etc. The waitress had a plain flat bread pizza made for him and brought him a kids cup. The short rib quesadilla app was great and hearty. I had the crab cake sandwich with a side salad and my husband had a burger. I love the option of a side salad! Try this restaurant on a whim and it was fantastic! My husband, son and myself went for lunch. I had the cranberry bread with avocado, turkey, bacon, and lots of other things on the sandwich with onion rings delicious. The onion rings were crispy, and the cranberry bread was delicious with the turkey, etc.. My husband had a steak sandwich with fig jam, which was absolutely delicious and my son had a burger and fries. Everything was made to perfection. Love this place, which opened during the pandemic, and it's been a welcomed addition to Wading River. It is at the start of the North Fork. It's like my Cheers, where everyone knows my name and is a friendly, family run restaurant. Camille, who is one of their primary bartenders, makes everyone feel like family, when sitting at the bar. We decided to begin our brunching adventure at the Watermark.  It has a rustic, clean, cute decor, farm to table atmosphere.  As I write this review, they are playing great Elton John music.  The waitress was amazing.  We asked her for a local fish market recommendation.  She went above and beyond, asking other coworkers for suggestions where to make our purchase.   The food was good.  We both had omelets with side of potatoes and multigrain bread.  The potatoes were not our style but the omlets were great.  If we could make one suggestion, it would be, that you go  the bathroom before you arrive or be prepared with an N95 mask.  We say this because there is only one bathroom per gender (whatever that means these days).  We noticed a highly intoxicated female who exited the bathroom and required assistance leaving the restaurant.  After her departure, the next person to use such bathroom briskly exited stating "I just can't".  We'll let you use your imagination to surmise what happened in there.   All in all, we had a very nice experience and the menu appears to have a lot other very nice options.  Highly recommend stopping in, if you're in the area. read more

Bon G and I were last at this location when it was Michael Anthony several years ago,. Upon arrival we were greeted by Nick, very welcoming and asked if we were walk ins or with rezzy. Fortunatly we had had rezzy for 7pm and were seated a nice private table... Connor, our server was on point and appeared at our table immediately. We conversed and reminiced having been there before and now returning as Watermark. Everything looked basically the same and the Service and Food was still wonderful although different...much more laid back and affordable! We started with cocktails; Bloody Maria and a Bourbon Manhattan...both Excellent! For appys we had Bucket of Mussels in a great white wine and garlic sauce...came with incredible toast for dipping! For Mains, Bon had the Sea Scallop Special which was like Butta! I had a delish Sliced Prime Rib sandwich with a special horseradish sauce they made up for me...was Marvelous! Celebrating the hubby's birthday on a Saturday night. He made the reservation which was by phone so I asked him if he'd mentioned the celebration. He had not so I said something to our waitress right away. When it came time for dessert I assumed they would recognize him but it didn't happen and then we saw someone else receive a birthday candle and a few of the staff members singing to them so we were left feeling like maybe we should've mentioned to the host instead? Our dinners were nice sized portions, our Boys enjoyed the calamari appetizer. The bottle of Malbec was not very good. Mexican coffees lacking enough Kahlua. The water refills and removal of the dishes was very attentive. Overall nice space with lots of St. Patrick's Day touches for the month of March. Cozy quarters, we were there towards closing so even though we were seated right in the middle of the space it wasn't overwhelmingly loud. Would probably return. read more

My wife and I literally drove around for an hour trying to decide where we wanted to eat. I suggested Watermark several times because it was a new restaurant and I wanted to try it. She kept shooting me down but finally agreed! SHE LOVED IT!! Great food, great menu and great service, AND pricing was reasonable. I had the Stuffed Cabbage special and she had the pan seared salmon with rice. We shared a crab cake app (decent for a non Maryland crab cake, I'm really spoiled) .
