My Highest Recommendation for Bio 911…read more I had a mold problem caused by a leaking faucet and roof at my Mom's house. The mold remediation company that I was referred to, went ahead and started tearing out drywall before any contract was signed. They also would not answer most of my questions and only sent a single photo of what they found and that was only after I asked them to send me photos a second time. I called Bio 911 and spoke to Kirill, the owner of the company. He told me that he doesn't like to take on jobs that are already being worked on by another company, but he told me that he would be happy to come out to inspect and evaluate my problem. He was incredibly thorough. He checked the drywall where visible mold had been seen, checked a nearby restroom even though no mold had been seen in there, the outside wall of the building adjacent to the affected drywall, and even the walls of an adjacent apartment. He detected moisture inside of the outside wall of the building, which was something that the other company had missed, and he outlined the steps needed to correct the moisture problem and mold issue. Kirill did all this work simply because he likes to help people. He did not charge me a penny. How often can you find someone that does things just to help people? It is super rare and I am giving Bio 911 my highest recommendation as a result.

The…read moremen who did the manual labor to treat our mold and water damage were excellent, hardworking, and professional. All 3 stars is because of y'all My issue is entirely with management. After my insurance company caused complications that led to First Call terminating the job which I understood, I received an invoice in May of last year. I paid that balance in full with two separate checks within two weeks. I have the receipts, the copies of the checks, and the bank statements showing exactly when First Call cashed them. After a full year of zero communication, I woke up today to a voicemail and email threatening to send me to collections within 48 hours. They claimed they had been "trying to reach me" for 12 months, which is untrue. I checked my call logs and my email history; there was absolutely nothing. When I called and provided my proof of payment and the exact dates they cashed my checks, they admitted the "error" was simply because someone forgot to check a box in their system. It is incredibly stressful and offensive to have your credit threatened because a company can't be bothered to check their own bank deposits before sending out threats. As a veteran, I live by a standard of integrity and doing your due diligence. Relying on a "checked box" as the Bible instead of doing actual research is lazy and unprofessional. Do better, not just for your customers, but for the reputation of the guys out there doing the actual work.

They were efficient, easy to work with and reliable. I worked with Idan, the PM who came by for the original estimate. He was informative, made helpful suggestions and answered all of my questions. Rat infestation in my garage (never had rats before so didn't know the proper process)…read more I had to dispose of half the items in my garage. Junk removal took care of that job & removed the rat poop. Then I called A2Z to clean everything assuming that's all I'd have to do. Last night I saw a giant rat run across my garage so now I've paid $3500 to hazmat clean the 1/2 my garage but still have a rat infestation. I'm now working with a rat removal service but before A2Z allowed me to hire them & get in contract they should have advised me to be sure to complete the proper step beforehand of ensuring the rat infestation was resolved. Now i'm out $3500 for an unnecessary garage cleaning and still have a rat infestation. As a new homeowner (or any homeowner) I'd assume a good business would make sure I've done the pre work (in this case rat infestation elimination) before accepting the job. That's in my view a shitty thing to have done to me as the client. Really disappointed because they seemed professional throughout the process. So for this reason of not holistically proactively making sure the proper prep was done I cannot rate this business any higher than a 2 star. I'm not angry I am however very disappointed and feel that I've been tricked. I cannot recommend this business.

The project was…read morechallenging because the building is three stories tall, located on a busy street, and has a business operating on the ground floor that could easily have been impacted by the work. I obtained several quotes and ultimately chose Joseph. He was knowledgeable about both painting and the unique challenges of working in the area. What stood out to me was how thoroughly he explained every step of the process, including what his team would be doing and why. He was professional, personable, and proactive. He introduced himself to my neighbors and the business owner downstairs to explain the project and coordinate access to the building. One thing I especially appreciated was the care his team took to minimize disruptions. Before cleaning the exterior, they installed netting and plastic sheeting beneath the second floor to catch dirt and debris so it wouldn't affect the business below. There was a bit of a wait to get on his schedule, but once the project started, Joseph and his crew showed up every day and completed the entire job in less than three weeks. Near the end of the project, some graffiti appeared on the side of my building and extended onto the neighboring property. Joseph immediately contacted the scaffolding company and arranged for the scaffolding to be removed earlier than planned to help prevent additional graffiti. He then repainted the affected area on my building and even matched the paint color on the neighboring building to cover the graffiti there as well. Throughout the project, communication was excellent, the workmanship was high quality, and Joseph consistently went above and beyond. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a professional painting contractor in San Francisco. professional company and great communication.

I worked with the Rohnert Park office. I recently had the company handle an asbestos removal and wall texturing project, and my experience was nothing short of stellar. The true test of a company's "business practices" is not when things go perfectly, but how they handle them when they do not. Almost a year after my initial service, I realized the interior wall texturing wasn't quite right. Despite the significant passage of time, CVE did not blink. They immediately took ownership of the situation and corrected the issues, no questions asked. They are a fantastic team. Every single person I interacted with at CVE was Knowledgeable: They clearly knew their craft and the safety protocols involved; Cheerful: They brought a positive energy to the job site every day; Professional: Communication was seamless, making what could have been a stressful process incredibly easy for me. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. If you want peace of mind and a team that treats your home with respect, CVE is the only call you need to make.

They performed a "remediation" that didn't take care of the mold problem at all and tried to tell me that my health issues and allergies were probably just from my dog (no one in my family is allergic to the dog we've had for 8 years). I then hired another company to come out that did an actual investigation and found toxic mold in 13 areas of the home. They will make it sound like you are being taken care of, but they are lying.

It took me about 2 years to fully recover, so I am extremely hesitant to rent anywhere that has the faintest musty odor. I first hired Graham in Fall 2020 when I was in a cute Berkeley duplex that had an odd odor in the living room. I hired him again when I moved into a condo rental across town that I only realized had water damage after I'd moved in, because it had been tenant occupied when I toured it and their possessions hid much of the water damage. I most recently hired Graham in 2023, after historic heavy rains caused water damage to a window in the Edwardian SF rental I was living in. I had him come by after the window leaks were repaired but before the repair person closed the wall up. Graham gave me the piece of mind that the repair was done correctly and that the apartment otherwise was in good condition with respect to his area of expertise. Graham has always been professional, extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and helpful. I have recommended him to several friends and anyone else who mentions the slightest concern about mold or water damage in their home.
